Just found out that I paid 9.50 for 4 scoops... is this correct?

Excellent service and friendly treatment

Disappointing experience. We came here with high hopes for an ice cream, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The owner (at least, we suspect he was the owner) was not exactly friendly. We politely asked if the ice cream was vegetarian — which is a normal question for many people these days. After all, you see this more and more often in ice cream parlors. His answer was: "There is no meat in it, so yes." That seemed like a joke at first, but he stuck to it and did not give any further explanation and repeated again that there was no meat in it, while we just wanted clarity about, for example, gelatin or other animal ingredients. Then he said that everything is natural, but he did not sound very convincing. In addition, the taste and price of the ice cream were also disappointing. The vanilla, for example, did not taste at all like you would expect from artisanal or Italian ice cream — more chemical and artificial. Unfortunately, not worth repeating for us

Chemical ice cream not homemade but €2.50 for a scoop. Hazelnut does not taste like hazelnut and even vanilla does not taste like Vanilla! I don't think it can get any worse! Outside all dirty tables feel like junk typical Bos en Rommel!

There is a wide choice of delicious flavours and the staff is friendly.

Paid €8.90 for 2 containers with 1 scoop of whipped cream as thick as butter and a container of nuts?! Something's going wrong there. We won't go back there again.

I have been advertising the delicious fries for years (as long as fries are sold in the winter months). Until last Sunday. Not too tough to eat, or the fries had been lying around for a while and had been reheated. Really not what I was used to, wonderfully crispy and still soft on the inside. I think this is a bad thing for €4.90 for a bag of fries with mayo

Very bad ice cream place, there are way better options around Bos and Lommer.

Friendly employee who helped us. Only the owner corrected our hair in our presence. Feel sorry for his staff. Scoops of ice cream were really small. We won't be back!

If I want to taste a flavor, the gentleman says that it is not allowed, but it was allowed a week earlier. Very rude how the owner treats the customers. And I'm not the only one to whom this happens. Good job you just lost a regular customer

De frikandel smaakt naar vis de ijs is oke maar er echt veel beter zoals ijscuipe maar als je in de buurt bent is het wel lekker voor al hun stroopwafels en popcorn

You get very little ice cream for what you pay for. 8 years ago this was one of my fav places but for now I have to say I’ll pass. I’d rather just go to another gelateria with real Italian ice cream.

Toen ik als kind in Bos en Lommer woonde was de Frank en Lydia al een van mijn favoriete eetgelegenheden in de omgeving. De Frank en Lydia is van buitenaf al erg uitnodigend. De grote patatzak, de ijzeren stoelen en tafels en de inkijk in de daadwerkelijke zaak geven een erg klassiek gevoel. De Frank Lydia doet niet diens best om maar in het stramien van hippe winkels en eettentjes te passen dat in Amsterdam sterk overheerst. Frank en Lydia heeft een duidelijke uitstraling en mooi passend kleuren pallet. Van binnen ziet de zaak er mooi uit en niet te chaotisch, je raakt er niet ge-overstimuleerd van. De Frank en Lydia is makkelijk te bereiken aangezien deze aan de Bos en Lommer weg ligt en dan ook nog pal naast tram en bus haltes. Voor een Amsterdamse zaak hanteert Frank en Lydia eerlijke prijzen voor hun ijs en patat. En hoewel het niet goedkoop is, is het het geld zeker waard. Er is een ruim assortiment aan ijs en grootte van hoorntjes en bakjes. Het personeel is altijd vriendelijk en de sfeer is altijd mooi. Als je in de buurt bent raad ik zeker aan om langs te gaan bij Frank en Lydia.

Aimlessly looking for somewhere to drink coffee and desert, luckily found this little spot, and even luckier they only serve lovely warm crisp waffles in the winter so we enjoyed the most delicious coffee and waffles... don’t even get me started on the ice-cream!!!

Heerlijk ijs en patat! Alleen vind ik Frank (de eigenaar) creepy. Hij blijft altijd erg lang staren als iemand er goed uit ziet waardoor veel meiden zich ongemakkelijk voelen. Dus een tip: minder lang blijven staren als je het nog niet eerder hebt gehoord van iemand

Super lekkere smaken. Veel variatie . Niet steeds de zelfde smaken , wisselen regelmatig. Lekker ijs.

Altijd zeer lekkere ijs. Helaas de laatste keer Fernandez rood en groen genomen en dat zal ik dus nooit meer doen. Was één en al suiker:(

Lekkerste ijs van Nederland en dat in mijn buurt nog! Mijn favo is aardbei en redbull smaak. De friet is ook superlekker!

Very creamy texture and a great variety to chose from! I was pleasantly surprised because the shop doesn't look like quality but the product certainly is!

Chemisch smakend ijs, en behoorlijk prijzig.

Lekker ijs. Niet het beste ijs wat ik ooit heb gehad maar wel goed. Aardige bediening ook. De verse patat daarentegen is onwijs GOED!!! Denk de beste patat die ik ooit heb gehad en dat middenin Bos en Lommer 😄Bijna net zo goed als de bekende frieten van Heston Blumenthal. Super krokant en vers gebakken in nieuwe frituurolie want dat proef je! Oh ja, en super lekkere, romige, dikke mayonaise. Hoera!

Lekker verse patatjes gehaald, bijna een unicum hier in de buurt! Jammer dat de frikandellen op waren, maar de kaassoufle viel zeker niet tegen! Hier kom ik zeker vaker een patatje halen.

Niet alleen het ijs is hier erg lekker, ook de patat is aan te raden.
