Friedt in Maastricht absolutely convinced us, and for that we give it 5 stars! The special fries were incredibly tasty – crispy, fresh and perfectly combined with the sauce and onions. You can immediately tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. Another plus point: You can easily pay by card, which makes the whole process really pleasant. Although the shop was a little further away from our starting point, the journey was definitely worth it. Although there is no seating and you have to take the food with you, this is completely offset by the great quality and taste. Friedt is definitely worth recommending, we would love to come back!

First time I tried fries in Maastricht, friedt has one of the best!! Especially the service. The tall Australian guy who made the fries was really friendly and nice to us. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Maastricht.

This is the only place in the Maastricht area that actually uses fresh, hand-cut fries! Crispy, golden brown, but wonderfully soft on the inside. The staff is also always very helpful! I have now become a regular customer.

Too few fries for too much money, mayonnaise was not tasty at all, fries were also disappointing, we walked away with the cones only to find out that there were no forks or napkins at all, so there was a lot of mess. Still feeling nauseous after dinner from that mayonnaise, next time I'll just have to stand in line at Reitz It wasn't that incredibly bad, I didn't write that and at Reitz it was also disappointing, the fries were not cooked properly, just like those limp fries of yours and I wrote something about the vegetarian choice that surprised me, I'm not just writing but bad reviews I write down my experiences and most of them are a lot less good than they should be because in many places too much money is asked for too little quality, but most people apparently think that it is all okay, the standards have been lowered quite a bit. Read my review of vd Valk, you get value for your money! Quality and class, you just sell fries and that could even be much better!

The fries in combination with pickled meat are okay. I didn't think the fries alone were very special considering they are quite expensive. Croquette sandwich and fries sour meat mayo €12.90 hey boy where are you going these days..

€21.50 for takeaway of (2 fries, 2 kipcorn croquettes and frikandel) unappetizing fries, smelly croquettes and poorly cooked kipcorn and frikandel. Nice staff but food not recommended.

Super tasty and fresh. Since it is freshly prepared, you have to wait a bit. The perfect address away from the hustle and bustle of the city center! It could be 2 euros cheaper.

The fries are not salty at all and not crispy enough. They were just dry. The peanut sauce is also bad... I've had much better fries than the ones here.

We visited some "chip dealers" in the Netherlands/Belgium last week. And this place had by far the best french fries. It's relatively small, the hand-cut fries are freshly prepared, so the waiting time is short, but simply delicious!

It would be even better if there were seats! :)

Fries distribution right on the street. Extremely delicious. The hot fries come with skin on and the mayo tastes fantastic. Simply perfect. The service was super nice. No seating. Always my pleasure. An insider tip for comfortable seating is the entrance to the university right at the street intersection. 5 benches in the shade and a fountain.

Really very tasty fries! Hand-cut and freshly prepared, crispy on the outside, partly with skin, soft potato-like on the inside. I only used normal mayo, so I can't say anything about the sauces. The big bag was really more than enough, I didn't finish it all.

A very good fries and for 4.7 stars it's worth the trip. It's a little outside of the city center but worth it. The fries were super crispy and the sauces that came with them were super tasty. The prices were okay for the quality and size of the portions. However, you can only take the food away and there aren't too many places to sit nearby. You should take that into account or keep an eye on the weather!!! Beyond that, I can recommend the shop to every fries lover who is in Maastricht 👍

22 euros for 1 fries mayonnaise, 1 fries war, and 2 Snacks, the fries you get are very few and not tasty, we also had to wait an hour and a half for our order, unfortunately never again for us.

Something is clearly going wrong between your home delivery and takeaway. This can also be seen in your reviews on Google and Thuisbezorgd. I'm sorry, but there were a total of 24 fried bits in my container - a quarter of which are hard pieces of inedible stone - and 2 tablespoons of 'sauce'. I think I have the courage to dare to charge €9.75 for this. The sauce is not smooth but a big lump of gunk stuck together. (no, this doesn't belong with black chicken) This pathetic little bowl of fried food with a snack costs just €16.48. If you charge service costs to "improve your service" (who comes up with this nonsense, dude) then you also improve quality. I believe you are really doing your best, but if the owner himself is not in his shop, it is clear that things are being cut short. And that's not the first time. This isn't worth $16, this has happened a few times now and I'm done with it. I don't need a refund or standard responses to a bad review, this was the last time.

I came all the way to Maastricht from Cork Ireland to try these fries and can I just say 100% they were worth it. I came with a friend of mine and we were both flabbergasted by how good they were. Also a special shout-out to Ruben who provided us with amazing customer service and gave me some excellent recommendations on which sauce I should pair with my fries. 5/5 overall!

We ate the best fries in Maastricht. The good reviews everywhere have been confirmed in this case. 5 minutes walk from Maastricht center. We love Maastricht and are there often. It's just wonderful. Anyway, we were in the mood for fries and you've come to the right place. A tiny little shop, only to go is recommended. You order your fries and sauces at the small window and then pick them up inside. Very fresh, very tasty, the mayo is very good and tasty. The prices are totally ok & the portions are great. We were happy and would love to come back.

Just got fries with Limburg mayo here. Fries, salt-free, loaded with fat. €4.50. Can strongly advise against it. It's even better to go to McDonald's.

Amazing fries! The service was also great, we had a really good recommendation which in turn I have to recommend. The fries with curry ketchup, mayo and onion are really special! The fries were so nice and crispy, with the skin on. 😍 The only downside is that at this time of year (end of September) there wasn’t any seating, but that’s to be expected because no one should enjoy fries in the rain. 😂

Fries and service were okay. Slower than other places I have gone to and more pricy as they charge for each sauce you get added to the cup.

If you look for „the authentic“ Dutch fries taste experience with some Indonesian or local topping then this seems to the place in Maastricht to go to. I had the fries with some lovely black chicken ketjap and it tasted amazing 🤩 Friendly and helpful staff as I was unsure of what to order. Great PV.

The fries are freshly made from full potatoes. They even let me try the sauces before ordering. There’s nearly no place to sit directly next to it. But a few meters up the street is a bench and a small wall where you can sit. Can hundreds percent recommend this place!

A place you shouldn't miss when you wan't to eat dutch food in Maastricht!

We waren slechts 5 minuten in Maastricht toen we voorbij Friedt liepen. De bedoeling was koffie/thee met Limburgse vlaai maar die DT deed het hem. Wat een fantastisch lekkere Friedt zeg! Een echte aanrader….

Sehr leckere Pommes. Mit Trüffelsoße sehr zu empfehlen. Essen vor Ort ist eher nicht möglich, das Essen wird vor dem Laden serviert. Trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert.

I found my Dutch fries endgame.. these fries were so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Crispy till the last bite! The truffle Mayo sauce is so delicious, highly recommend.
