Visited today. The food is okay, nothing special. But every table has dogs. Some of which really don't smell right. We found this address online. It doesn't mention this there. So this was an unpleasant surprise. We asked for a different table. But they didn't look for a solution and put the blame on us. Apparently, there is a sign at the entrance saying dogs are welcome, but if you call or enter through the shop, you can't know this, and certainly not the large number of dogs. Absolutely no service.

Everything was great: the bike ride there, the location, the harbor, the food, the staff.

We ate pancakes and filled panini there. Both were delicious. The service was friendly, kind, and helpful. There's also a nice outdoor seating area. A lovely restaurant. Next door there's a shop where you can buy typical Dutch souvenirs. All in all, a great experience. If we're ever in Hindeloppen again, we'll definitely come back.

We had a quick drink here after visiting the skating museum. It took quite a long time for our order to be taken, and the waiter walked around as if he wasn't interested.

Nostalgic pancake restaurant right next to the Skating Museum. The location is beautiful, in such an old historic building. Nicely decorated; it feels like you are on a ship. The chairs are quite hard, though. You can sit both inside and outside. The pancakes were large, generously topped, and tasted delicious. Our desserts were also excellent and nicely made (ice cream shaped like a boat). The service was also fine. Friendly and welcoming. Excellent restaurant for eating pancakes or just having a drink if you are visiting Hindeloopen.

The most delicious pancake I've ever eaten, bacon and banana...heavenly! The Hylper Omelet is also highly recommended. Once you've finished eating, there's a lovely shop, the First Frisian Skating Museum, and of course, picturesque Hylpen.

A fantastic and delicious selection of pancakes and other dishes. Very friendly service, and there's a small museum next door with free admission. Here, too, the service was very friendly and there was a lovely selection of earrings (which I mostly only buy when I'm on vacation in the Netherlands). I was also more than pleasantly surprised by the price. Hindeloopen itself is definitely worth a visit. What's always very important to us: our dog is welcome everywhere ☺️☺️

A must for every visit to Hindeloopen :-) As many have already written here, the restaurant is really quite old, but its charm gives it a very special appeal. There's a lot of history here, and you can feel it firsthand. The dishes all looked so good that it was hard to decide what to eat. I also found the combination very unusual, but it was very enjoyable. Very pleasantly surprised, don't worry ;-) The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and natural. We'll definitely be back.....

We arrived a little early in the morning, but were still allowed in. Very friendly owners with a perfect breakfast. The Strammer Max and omelets are delicious and plentiful. You'll definitely leave full. The atmosphere by the water is wonderful; we would come back.

The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The portions are also completely sufficient. The staff is very friendly and child-friendly. There is a play area for children and a small farewell gift. The restaurant is very rustic and is reminiscent of the history of ice skating.

An entire tray of drinks spilled on my lap, which I was entirely reasonable about and went to wash up, on my return, to be told it was because I had taken a drink from the tray,thereby destabilizing it, which wasn’t true!! The owner let me know that I need to refrain from touching serving trays in all restaurants in the future. No apology. We left, shame, because it looked nice in there 😟
