A fantastic and delicious selection of pancakes and other dishes. Very friendly service, and there's a small museum next door with free admission. Here, too, the service was very friendly and there was a lovely selection of earrings (which I mostly only buy when I'm on vacation in the Netherlands). I was also more than pleasantly surprised by the price. Hindeloopen itself is definitely worth a visit. What's always very important to us: our dog is welcome everywhere ☺️☺️

Very nice and old pancake restaurant, with the skating museum next to it. Enough choice on the menu and the portions are also good. Nice little play corner with some toys and a table with a few chairs. Definitely recommended, also with younger children.

A must for every visit to Hindeloopen :-) As many have already written here, the restaurant is really quite old, but its charm gives it a very special appeal. There's a lot of history here, and you can feel it firsthand. The dishes all looked so good that it was hard to decide what to eat. I also found the combination very unusual, but it was very enjoyable. Very pleasantly surprised, don't worry ;-) The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and natural. We'll definitely be back.....

We arrived a little early in the morning, but were still allowed in. Very friendly owners with a perfect breakfast. The Strammer Max and omelets are delicious and plentiful. You'll definitely leave full. The atmosphere by the water is wonderful; we would come back.

On our first short holiday of this year 2025 we are in the north of the Netherlands. We visited several small towns and on our fourth day we visited Hindeloopen. Without a doubt 😍 we find this restaurant 100% percent recommendable. We will definitely come back 👌🤤😜😍

A great stop on a walk through Hindeloopen 👍👍👍 we enjoyed the suggestions and can handle it for the rest of the day (until the evening 😂). Conclusion: this is the place to go for friendly service and good food 😘

The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The portions are also completely sufficient. The staff is very friendly and child-friendly. There is a play area for children and a small farewell gift. The restaurant is very rustic and is reminiscent of the history of ice skating.

Heerlijke pannenkoeken in een knus restaurantje in de binnenstad van Hindeloopen. We zaten binnen omdat het weer te slecht was voor het terras aan het watertje.

The tastiest pancake eaten bacon/banana....heavenly! The Hylper Omelet is also highly recommended. Once you have finished eating, there is a beautiful shop, the First Frisian Skating Museum and of course the picturesque Hylpen.

An entire tray of drinks spilled on my lap, which I was entirely reasonable about and went to wash up, on my return, to be told it was because I had taken a drink from the tray,thereby destabilizing it, which wasn’t true!! The owner let me know that I need to refrain from touching serving trays in all restaurants in the future. No apology. We left, shame, because it looked nice in there 😟

After the beautiful museum - amazing how versatile and interesting ice skates can be - head to the Pannenkoekhuis for refreshment. Nice and friendly service. And an absolutely great pannenkoek “Hindeloooen” with fresh salad! Simply recommended.
