The fries were good but the toilet was in a strange place and very dirty.

Great snack bar to get your snacks. Quality is top notch. However, some items are really expensive. Like some burgers. Inside it is small and people work hard in the kitchen. So you can't really sit comfortably there. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace. Although it is next to a busy road, so it is not very picturesque. All in all, a great snack bar to get your snacks. But sometimes a bit expensive.

Delicious fries and large portions, but the ambiance is a bit disappointing if you eat your fries there. Could be better and more pleasant.

Unfortunately I paid for something that I did not receive. Happens often at snack bars. Can people not read an order that was placed more than hours in advance?

Real Flemish or whatever you call it, fries and delicious burgers

The food was terrible, the service was very bad. I had to wait an hour and a half for my order and in the end I did not receive the complete food. The money I paid was completely wasted. The place is extremely dirty and not hygienic at all. I am very disappointed.

Tasty fresh fries. The chicken satay with satay sauce was also very tasty. Definitely come back again.

Really a shame. It used to be wonderful here, but it has deteriorated rapidly. Forgot items from my order twice. The first time I actually forgot the hamburger from my hamburger. Once home I only had a bun with sauce and lettuce. Forgot half of the ordered fries the second time. Where, when I went back to get them, I got two half-baked greasy fries. When we received it, we asked 'is it really true, it seems quite little', to which the answer was a resolute 'absolutely'. In addition, the fries are not regularly cooked anyway. Sometimes you get lucky and good fries and sometimes unfortunately you don't. Too bad, because the employees are very friendly.

A little curry with your fries, 1.25! What a shame. How dare you squeeze out as much as possible from the customer with a fries.

The mice are running around, even found mouse droppings in my food. The floor is too dirty, the terrace too. Things aren't tidied up, trash cans stink.

It just wasn't....new owner but it hasn't exactly gotten better. Fortunately, there are more snack bars nearby! Not worth repeating.... Update December 2023: It's gotten better. They just have to keep an eye on the smell in the store. Update August 2024 Raw burger...unfortunately not enough. The fries were so greasy...that the bag was too dirty...and you had to wait 10 minutes before being helped...had someone waiting for me People from Friethuijs read my review and do something about it... because you supposedly never hear this... Dear visitor, go to another one, there are three within less than 50 meters of each other.

Very good chip shop, discovered by chance during a stay in Haarlem. The fries are Perfect, the krokets Excellent. We are delighted with this delicious lunch break with our children (6, 10 and 14 years old). THANKS

I have never eaten such salty fries. My good god. Good fries, that's for sure. Although it was a very small portion. Too bad about the salt, otherwise the stars would certainly have been higher.

Worthless!!!!!!!! After a very long wait, I miss part of my order and half of the snacks are so crammed away that they are broken and torn. It was less last time, but it just gets worse every time. Provide employees who walk behind the counter wearing a helmet, take off their helmet and run their hands through their greasy hair, where food is being prepared... You hear the same delivery employees complaining in plain language as they look at their receipt for the bags they have to deliver and then mention in the store that it sucks that they have to travel no less than 3.2 km... I feel sorry for the companies that nowadays rely on the lazy, poorly educated and completely uninterested youth who work for them. This tent was once good, but is getting worse with ownership. Unhygienic store that is becoming the most dreary room in Haarlem inside and outside.

Food is very tasty, but we had to wait a very long time before we were helped. 1 person was cleaning while the other did everything alone, which made it all take a very long time. He did his best, but on your own you only have 2 arms. After having been inside for maybe half an hour, they finally gave us a croquette sandwich instead of a chicken burger. If we go back again. The fries are now cold before I have my chicken burger.

For a hamburger for over 5 € I expected maybe some tomato, onion etc. the taste is good but just needs something extra.

Could do something about the appearance of the terrace, chairs are not good

Sinds begin september zit Saté Bestellen samen met Friethuis in hetzelfde pand. Het is even goed kijken welk menu bij welke keuken hoort. (en ook verschillende kassa's) De salade, pittige kip en friet waren lekker en we kregen ruime porties.

We waren onze mobiel hier na het eten vergeten mee te nemen, godzijdank had personeel telefoon achter gehouden en konden we hem gelijk weer ophalen. Heel vriendelijk personeel

Service was prima, eten niet bijzonder.

Aardige bediening, zeer lekkere friet ... burgers waren matig. Wit broodje met wat vlees en weinig anders (smaak) ...

De inrichting binnen kan beter

Leider nicht so hygienisch. Hinter der Theke werden die Bestllungen ohne Handschuhe zubereitet.

Service niet geweldig. De dip voor het ijsje was erg karig.

Helaas...half uur gewacht terwijl andere gasten later kwamen en eerder weggingen (nee, ik had geen grote bestelling). Burger smaakte verbrand en zaten er op het broodje en de burger zwart geblakerde plekken (het rook ook zo) en de special kipburger is een groot broodje met kipnuggets waarvan sommige niet geheel gaar. Ik zal jullie over een jaartje een herkansing geven maar voorlopig even niet..

Gezellig op het terras ge,eten!

Ze worden wat nonchalant! Kwaliteit gaat achteruit. Heerlijk frietje! Was geen toevalstreffer want de laatste 3 zaterdag even frietje als lunch op de zaak :-) tot volgende week!

Good quality patat and a decent selection of vegetarian alternatives. A good choice if you are in the area and don’t fancy a walk into town.

Matig veel kleine stukjes maar wel smakelijk

Vroeger altijd prima. Maar de laatste tijd is huilen met de pet op.... wij bestellen hierdoor niet meer. Het gaat te vaak fout waardoor we zonder eten zitten en wel betaald hebben. vooral als we niks horen van ze, terwijl de bestelling dus wel goed is doorgekomen in hun systeem. Erg jammer dat de bezorging slecht verloopt want het eten is altijd lekker!!

De patat en de sate zijn geweldig, spareribs zijn een aanrader. Ijsje eten.
