We were there today and had a portion with Parmesan and truffle mayo. Delicious! 👍

What a delightful surprise to find these Belgian fries in Zandvoort! I grew up mostly in Belgium, in an area with a chip shop every 5km. Nowhere in the Netherlands could I find truly delicious fries like those (I thought) only made in Belgium: a visit to Zandvoort changed that! The gentleman who fries the fries is incredibly friendly and makes time for a chat with everyone, which makes it a very pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious! The fries are amazing! We had fries with beef stew and fries with Parmesan and truffle mayonnaise, really delicious. We also had a frikadel in satay sauce, sambal, and onion mix, which was also delicious. A bit pricey! But delicious!

I've never had such bad fries. The grease was dripping off, and some fishwife with a grumpy mouth barely managed to ask if I wanted medium or large. What a flop.

I come here every time I vacation in Holland... and that's been over 20 years! For me, these are the best fries I've ever eaten 🙏 truly one of a kind... I hope this shop stays around for many, many more years ❤️ The owner is also very friendly.

The fries are always really delicious. What I don't like, however, is that the medium size (€3.50) is served in an open rectangular bag, into which the ketchup (€0.75) or the ordered sauce is simply poured from the top. This always leaves your fingers a bit messy. The paper bags quickly become soggy from the ketchup and tear at the side, and they've never even provided a paper napkin. Your fingers are always sticky afterwards. The little wooden picks on the crispy fries always break after half the portion at the latest - so you always take two from the large bowl on the counter / self-service. You really have to get the wooden pick yourself - unhygienic, especially since hundreds of customers every day reach into one of the two large bowls (each on the edge of the counter) with their dirty fingers - this should be changed as soon as possible, and the wooden pick should be automatically placed on top of the fries by the manager/staff - hence only 3 stars). What always surprises me, especially with my favorite curry ketchup, is that, unlike the other sauces, it still comes from the red Hela Gummi spice ketchup bottle made in Germany (which is delicious), even though some Dutch suppliers also have really delicious dark spice ketchups. The owner is always in a good mood and very friendly, whether to locals or tourists, even when it is very busy, as is usually the case.

Some reviews really rave about this meal, but we thought it was okay. Compared to the otherwise very expensive food, here we got a reasonably priced snack with majo fries and currywurst. Eating it out of a paper bag took a bit of getting used to and instead of a real currywurst, they served sliced ​​bratwurst with curry-spiced ketchup. We couldn't understand why they should be THE best fries. We were rather disappointed due to the numerous very positive reviews. The Frikandel Special in a small plastic bowl didn't taste that good either.

Got fries and snacks; Fries and mayo were tasty. Frikandel special was chopped small and then packed in a plastic container with onion, curry and mayo. Meatball was fried a little too long and didn't have much flavor, a meatball should come out of the gravy...(.)

Tja, afgaande op de reviews hier naartoe gegaan. Was oke maar ook niet meer dan dat. Friet gaat in een zak (geen puntzak) dus da's niet heel handig met een berg mayo er bovenop. Frikadel speciaal wordt in stukjes gesneden en vervolgens in plastic bakje met mayo en curry gedaan. Frikadel is dus ook in 5 seconden koud (door de koude sauzen. Waarom geen gewone frikadel speciaal maken? Gewoon insnijden en curry, mayo en uitjes erop doen. Zo moeilijk is dat niet. Is overigens wel goed aan de prijs zeg! 4 grote friet (wat hier in lokale snackbar een normale portie is). 4 frikadel speciaal. 3 blikjes drinken. Moesten in totaal € 50,- afrekenen

I had the pleasure of trying the famous Holland fries at a renowned spot in Zandvoort. These fries were absolutely delicious, and I can understand why this place is well-known for them. The quality of the potatoes and the crispiness of the Holland fries were outstanding. The portion size was generous, and the variety of dipping sauces made the experience even more enjoyable. In addition, they also served delightful bitterballen, croket, and cheese croket, which added to the overall culinary experience. I highly recommend stopping by this place for some of the best Holland fries and Dutch snacks you’ll ever have!

Sehr lecker. Am Platz gibt es mehrere Pommesbuden. Diese hat die leckersten. Ein toller Familienbetrieb mit Tradition. Jede Portion ist frisch und heiss. Wir nehmen immer Pommes mit Mayo und Curry (Curryketchup). Macht weiter so. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Since 30 years my favorite Dutch fries snack shop. They have a special way to fry the fries which gives them the extra crispyness. The size and way the fries are cut gives a home cook flair and thus, it’s just an overall damn good experience. Of course, the whole shop just gives a vibe of ‚classic Dutch fries manufacturer‘ Approved by a Dutch guy living in Berlin 👍

We were visiting Zandvoort for 2 nights, and popped into this quaint family operated shop 4 times to eat. There’s something in the oil they use that makes these probably the best fries in the world. Be sure to try their secret sauce!

Belgian fries are still the best, Its not just the technique, but the potato itself. That said, these were done the right way, heavy outer crisp and pillowy interior. The potato flavor a bit mild comparatively. Got mayo and sambal sauce. Advertised as a sweet hot sauce, theres really no heat to it, but tasty and a little unusual, which I love. I would have loved to see the classic curry ketchup as an option too. Excellent stand in the center of the action, Recommended.

over het patatje zelf niets dan lof maar vind het ook wel normaal als je fatsoenlijk te woord wordt gestaan. Onbeschofte eigenaar, lijkt met weinig plezier zn werk te doen. Voor mijn reden hier niet terug te komen.....
