We got to the door and they said we were too drunk when we were almost sober. Really quite bizarre. This is a place you should never go to voluntarily. The people at the door are not nice. Bad karma for life. X

Do not go to this place!! Upon arrival the vibes were already off. There were multiple people sitting outside the venue who were refused entry for no reason. I came with my girlfriend and a friend with a pre-sale ticket, but the lady at the entrance kept ignoring the pre-sale line and only responded to people from the through-sale line (probably just dirty money dogs). This made multiple people feel like they were being looked down on and tried to get the lady's attention, but all she said was: you are not getting in, you can get a refund. (With a smoked-out joint with nothing left in it in her stinking mouth that I could smell from 5 meters away). All in all a bad experience that I will never repeat

Dont bother coming here. They denied our entry eventho we payed 40 euros for tickets. They said we could get it refunded. When i asked why we weren’t allowed to go inside, we just got ignored. The girl checking the tickets was very rude! She was letting everyone in who still had to buy tickets. (They were more expensive)It was my first time going out in Amsterdam and they ruined the experience. I have not yet gotten my money refunded as well.

Supposedly an “alternative garage” but with prices like a typical cafe in the middle of P.C. Hooftstraat. Shitty infrastructure, filter coffee..

Had to wait in line for 40 minutes, because I had no presale tickets. Once inside it felt very cozy, small spaces, lovely crowd, good sound management, 2 dancing areas and outside covered spaces. Temperature control felt bad, it was very hot inside and this became worse while more people came in.

Nos refirieron a ir a este lugar como personal del hotel bar turístico americano. Esperamos en la fila durante más de una hora y luego la persona de la puerta no nos dejó entrar sin una explicación válida que no estábamos comportando de manera inapropiada. Esperábamos en la cola en silencio, había un grupo de chicos detrás de nosotros que estaban cantando, pero incluso ellos no estaban siendo irrespetuosos, solo estaban diciendo las canciones que se estaban tocando dentro del club. Fuimos completamente discriminados por ninguna razón, no sé si fue porque somos afroamericanos o solo estadounidenses. Solo evita este lugar y no pre-compres las entradas porque estarás fuera de la entrada después de que no te dejen entrar sin razón tengo 40 años de ninguna manera un animal de fiesta y tener un corazón muy inclusivo nunca discriminaría a nadie, así que me dolió mucho quedarme sintiéndome desalentado y triste

Boring club. We had to pay 22 euro’s while others had to pay 12 euro’s to come in. Very shady. Vibe at Skatecafe was way better. Not going here again.

Very cool location. With the highlight being the basement, which reminded me a bit of the school. Nice and dark and smoky!

I don't usually leave bad reviews of venues, because I love night life and it should thrive in any way possible, and that's why I wanted to give 4 stars instead of the 1 the venue actually deserves imho. I changed my mind after reading some of the reviews and thus remembering other stuff like the weird door dude (not the security, they were very cool). The place, summarised: The main problem: It's basically a pub that profiles itself on social media as a cool underground club. But yeah, if that's your thing and you like a draft beer and a cig to chat with your pals and the occasional standing a while on the dancefloor, go for it. Dancefloor holds a comfortable maximum of 15 people so yeah, if you go there for dancing you will be very disappointed, unless you like to smoke and drink because it's located right between the bar and the smoking area, directly on the flight pattern of the incessant come and go of people. I reckon the venue holds a maximum of 10x the dancefloor capacity so once that's reached you'll have to wait in line to enter until people gets out. One star for the cool security crew and the mounted fans above the dancefloor.

Discrimination is of paramount importance at this tent (in the sense that they discriminate against groups)

Great club, unwelcoming door. We have been spending the night in the restaurant. Being told that if we were back before the beginning of the night (23.30) we would have been admitted for free as we already spent our night at the restaurant. At 23.20 we have been rejected from the door for lack of communication with the restaurant. Despite how nice the club is, these things should be adjusted

Refused entry because I couldn't name a DJ playing, just the collective and genre. The most unjustifiable thing, they did not give me my ticket money back! Wow. This has to actually be illegal. I am never going back with this kind of client treatment.

I am an adventurous, free resident of this city and I go out spontaneously, so I bought a ticket for Garage Noord. After a few oppressive questions at the door (whether I had been there before, but if you are an English-speaking lady yourself, the relevance of this question is completely unclear to me) I was told that such people are not tolerated. We were also the only non-tourists. I would like to say to these people. Don't go there, it's a right-wing conservative criminal (you'll lose the ticket money after all) club and you won't find the free soul of this city there..

We were there last weekend, was pretty nice, lots of different stages to go to but only a few bathrooms, so there were big queues. In general, a cool place but would only come for a good party. It was also funny that there is a football field and people playing football 😂

Ridiculous door policy. Guests have to wait outside for hours for no reason (there is enough space, security has nothing to do). Apparently the only reason is to make it look busier. If this incredibly unfriendly door policy is lifted, I am willing to change my 1 star review. The north garage is nice (as long as you can get inside)

My Experience with Discrimination at Garage Noord I want to share a disappointing experience my friends and I had at Garage Noord in Amsterdam. We were a diverse group—Dutch, Croatian, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, American, and me, a Lebanese. We waited in line for over an hour with no information about the delay. When I politely asked the bouncer about the wait, he rudely told me to “chill” and “don’t talk to me.” Despite our group being respectful and friendly, he continued to treat us poorly. When our turn finally came, he asked where I was from. After I told him I was Lebanese, he refused us entry, even though he had just let in a group of seven people right in front of us. It was clear his decision was based on my background, which was hurtful and uncalled for. Amsterdam is a city known for its diversity and inclusion, and it’s disappointing to see this type of discrimination happening here. I hope Garage Noord re-evaluates how they treat people and works to make everyone feel welcome.

This place is a discrace to club culture with gatekeepers acting rude and abusing their power. If you can’t get in while being friendly and polite and you are being dismissed without any reason, you are not the inclusive club you pretend to be. Spare yourself a long wait in line and avoid this club My dear friend who was celebrating his birthday got in standing right in front of me. I’m aware of the policy to not enter with a large group, we were with three people and I was entering slightly later in line solo. I got dismissed while actually being sober, I was relaxed and smiling. My friend decided to leave right away after I was dismissed, he asked for a refund of the hefty fee he just payed as we only wanted to celebrate his birthday there together. He didn’t even enter the club area. The doormen refused his request, so we asked the manager what to do. While we explained the situation in a calm and friendly manor, the manager was acting like an angry pitbull after our simple request to refund the fee. We felt violated. I got in this club many times before and was ready to spread love and joy, I really don’t get why they act like this. Being dismissed like this with the best of intent is just utterly stupid

Friendly staff, friendly guests!

I arrived at this club around 10pm and was charged an outrageous amount to enter. I was not looking for this club, I was wanting to go to skate cafe which is down the alley next door to garage Noord. I asked if this was skate cafe and she said yes, I asked if I can smoke joints they said yes. Once I paid and walked in, I had my joints confiscated and realised this was the wrong club. I was in the club for under a minute before realising I was at the wrong place. I quickly asked if I could have a refund and leave but she refused to give me one. My friend went in to use the bathroom and went to leave, someone tried to stop him from leaving and told him it was a private area. Not a good experience, but the real skate cafe is awesome.

Manager was ridiculous, so mean to us for no reason. I thought it was a place for inclusiveness but it was really the opposite. Very hostile. If you don't fit the normative standards i would avoid this establishment

This is an unacceptable display of ignorance and a severe misstep in understanding the basic principles of inclusiveness and respect for all guests. Moreover, it's a slap in the face to those who expect businesses in our community to show a sense of patriotism and unity, not to promote foreign political symbols. The message you’re sending is one of division, not inclusion. If you’re so out of touch with your customers' sentiments, then you shouldn't be surprised when people choose to take their business elsewhere. I strongly urge others to reconsider supporting a place that so blatantly disregards the importance of neutrality and respect in such a sensitive area. Absolutely disgraceful.

Absolutely disgusted by the egregious mismanagement of this club. My friend and I arrived after next door's SkateCafe (great club) closed (around 3:30am) and wanted to just keep dancing for an hour or so more as I had come from abroad to see her. We were completely fine, not drunk, disorderly or behaving in any way which could warrant rejection from a nightclub (never have my friend nor I been rejected from any club). In the queue we politely made conversation with a group behind us as the waiting time was outrageous. By the time we get to the door the bleach blonde woman at the door who asked us "why are you here" upon which we replied "it's a nightclub, to dance?" she then said your group cannot come in because of that man in the cap (waving in the generic direction of the queue). We explained we are not a group and she said "you don't know the lineup you're clearly here to party" LIKE IS THAT NOT WHAT A NIGHTCLUB IS FOR?. Rejected us, ruined the end of our evening. For a place which is supposed to be a "rave club" and "inclusive" this place is pathetic. Rude, obnoxious, condescending, power tripping staff - you're not Berghain you're some random club in an Amsterdam industrial estate which sells sandwiches during the day. Wouldn't visit again if I was on fire and it was the only building in the world with water. If I could give a 0 rating I would and that woman ought to work in anything other than hospitality and nightlife.

Power trippers at the door that believe they work at border patrol. These people make everyone wait for hours at the door even though it still early & obviously not at capacity. After the wait they can and will arbitrarly refuse you. Embarassing for a rave club that is supposed to be inclusive. If you have limited time in Amsterdam dont waste it here.

sorry but why, when you say the doors open at 7 for a concert, do the doors only open at 11 ? the concert i went to was supposed to END at 11 ? a lot of people left due to the 4+ hour waiting time ( bc its too long or bc they had to take a train back home ?? ) when asked why this happened i got no response. the people that worked there at the time i was there were honestly really really nice but i just cant understand why you tell us the doors open that early when they really dont .....

Terribly disorganized, save your precious time and money for a respectful venue. About an hour and a half after the original door opening time - accompanied by a complete radio silence from the rude and indifferent staff - we were yelled at to queue up in two different lines. Still no updates on the show. Only by looking up info on Instagram did we find out that the main act was pushed back and set to start at 23.00: the original ending time of the entire show.

Horrible organization. The doors were supposed to open at 19 and show was between 20-23. The soundcheck was long over, yet the staff was still setting up the main entrance and the smoking lounge… They only made the queue at 20:30. We learned that the main act was starting at 23:00(supposed end time on the ticket!) in the line, through their insta story. Staff was rude, they didnt communicate anything. They said the doors would open at 21:30, but still was not open when we eventually left at 21:40, after waiting in the cold outside for almost TWO HOURS. Keep your expectations very low for this awful venue and do not trust the start-end time on your ticket!!!!!!!!!

Travelled all the way from the UK to see Sherelle for an 'inclusive' night which we had booked a long time in advance. The brunette female bouncer on the door was incredibly rude to us for no particular reason, and denied us entry because we were a group of 6, which is a 'rule' which is not stated anywhere. I felt personally attacked by her, she was unprofessional - and I am not sure whether it was because of the way we looked... She ruined my friends 30th birthday celebration for no reason in particular. I do not know what motivated her behaviour and have NEVER been rejected from a club before. It left our whole group feeling extremely disappointed and deflated. Avoid this club.

Bad queue management. people wait for hours, while security peacefully drinks red bulls: the same professionality of a friend party. The only reason for prolonging the queue is to make the place look busier than it is...

The brunette girl in charge of the entrances made us wait for 1 hour in the cold, telling us that we had to wait a bit to get in. In the end she told us it wasn't possible because we were a group of 5 (a rule not written anywhere). This club, which preaches openness, is a disgrace to the techno scene. Slechte bediening, onaardig en keken ons eerder weg. Na een miscommunicatie tussen ober en baas over de reservering ontstond er een rare situatie aan tafel en zijn wij uiteindelijk vertrokken.

Garage noord is a smaller, more intimate sized club. The programming is a little less commercial and more diffuse from night to night (so check beforehand whats poppin of the night you want to visit) then for instance the bigger more well known clubs. But the vibe is always check, prices are fair. People wise there is a nice mix of expats, tourists and locals. It's situated next to the skate cafe, which is a nice place to grab something to eat on a friday, start getting you drink/dance on and then transition into the night program of Garage Noord. The club has a smaller area on the first floor which has a terras outside and a garden on groundfloor in case you get hot (which you undoutbly will). Pro tip: if there is a line at the bathrooms at the bar, use the bathrooms upstairs.

I have been here a few times and it was nice. But last weekend friday was just bad. The RA event said its free until 11, but then the bouncers all didnt know about it and did not let us in. There seemed to have been a miscommuncation with the bands playing. The bouncer was trying to give us a vibe check when I asked whether there is some crowd in already. Inside, the band wasnt great, and the DJs after were not up to usual AMS standard either. Just in general not a great night.

A very cool consept and setting but a bit of a letdown

Damn, wat een tent. Heb nog nooit zo hard kunnen feesten. Wat een fijne mensen daar ook die er heen gaan. Heb hier ook een veilig gevoel als vrouw. De muziek gaat ook ECHT hard daar. Heel moeilijk om te stoppen met dansen als ze al zo goed bezig zijn. Voor je het weet is het al 08:00 uur. Aanrader als je van techno houdt.

The security/bouncer guys were so incredibly sweet, never experienced that before. Took my perfume and stored it at the desk. Let my friend back in after she realized she lost her wallet. Music was great. Line for the toilets was extremely annoying tho.

Súper cool place! Definitely I’ll be back. First, the place: very creative and alternative, I love it!! I booked for dinner and the dinner was so delicious! Plus the people working there are friendly and helpful. Then we went out to get to the club and was very cool as well!! Amazing sound system, music, people. Highly Recommended!!

I don’t know when it happened, but the club has lost the energy that it used to have. The last party was completely out of control; the music was senseless, with mixes that had no musical taste at all. The crowd was annoying, it felt like a constant fight when I just wanted to dance on my own. ( Maybe you should sell less tickets?)

Leuke club in een oude auto garage. Klein en daardoor intiem. Prijzen van drankjes zijn prima en de muziek is top! Er zou wat meer budget in de lichtinstallatie gestoken kunnen worden.

Lekker eten vriendelijke mensen is een aanrader.

Toffe club, door de kleine dansvloer een intieme sfeer en snel bij de bar. Goed geluidssysteem en goede programmering.

Enorme afknapper. Bij binnenkomst valt direct de rioollucht op. Het is steenkoud in de zaak, omhoog zetten van de verwarming haalt in deze ruimte niks uit. Slechts 1 andere tafel bezet, later op de avond komt daar nog een groep hangjeugd bij zitten. Kaart is heel klein met overprijste(!) minimale keuze uit voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht. Kwailteit van eten goed maar dat kon de avond niet goedmaken.
