GASTROBAR TOF in Centrum

We stayed overnight in Venray over the weekend and had dinner here. It was fantastic; the food was absolutely delicious and of high quality – you could tell! The waitresses were very attentive, even though it was really busy and there was a bit of a wait. We would definitely recommend it; we really enjoyed our stay, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was truly delicious!

Way too noisy; the people at the table next to you at the long tables are sitting right on your lap. Customers at that table regularly start talking to you uninvited and look at your plate because they are so close. The table layout isn't very cozy like that. It is mainly a place for people who are highly emotional and want to eat something with a fancy name, who want to appear hip and trendy, and as a result no longer pay close attention to what they are served, how much it costs, or what the portion sizes are. But that is about all there is to say. There are many better dining establishments in the immediate vicinity; the prices are quite steep for what you get. You have to like that sort of thing, too. We left hungry the last time we were there. Also trendy with the wines... Just to be clear, it is not a bad place, but "cozy" is something else entirely for us; we are too down-to-earth and realistic and only want to eat with our own table when it comes to coziness. We have been there a few times because we are from the neighborhood, but the experience was the same every time, so it wasn't a one-off experience.

It was super fun and delicious again today! Top service too! We're going again next week. The risotto with sweetbreads is highly recommended!!! I wanted to take a picture but unfortunately I was too quick and the plate was almost empty by the time I remembered.

We decided to trust the reviews and go for our Saturday night for a drink and we were not disappointed. Nice vibe and even though the place was full it was not too loud. We would definitely come back just for the nachos alone, they were the best choice to get with our drinks. Prices are reasonable and the service was kind and fast

This really remains one of my favorite go-tos in Venray. Last Sunday we went to 'Zilte Zondag' and wow, it was delicious. Oysters and Cava for the win! 🥂🦪 Besides the 12 oysters and a bottle of Cava, my girlfriend and I also enjoyed a delicious cheese and dessert platter. The result? A perfectly filled afternoon with fantastic food, great company, and a super fun theme. This concept definitely needs to return more often. We will absolutely be there again next time!

Once again, we had a delicious meal at Tof. This time it was lunch, but it remains delicious!

The food is fine...sharing food, which they recommend, is an option, but not all dishes lend themselves to it.

I ate here yesterday with a view of the kitchen. There, I saw a waitress slicing bread, dropping a piece on the floor, picking it up and wiping it clean, and then placing it back on the board to serve. I wanted to say something about this, but the wait staff was busy because a large group was also dining, and I couldn't get a word in edgewise. I have eaten here at least 4-5 times, and the food is really top-notch! It's also nice that the menu changes regularly. But it is really a huge shame that I saw this. Now I am wondering if this has happened more often, or if this is a one-off occurrence that I happened to see. That could certainly be a problem if you serve it to someone with a lower immune system like myself or an older person.

We had a fantastic meal here! TOF is highly recommended if you enjoy shared dining. All the dishes were incredibly tasty and each one was full of flavor. You can tell that attention is paid to the food. Additionally, we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in a cozy atmosphere. The service was quick and friendly. Absolutely nothing to complain about. For us, it is absolutely worth 5 stars — we will definitely be back!

The price is right for the performance. Everything is OK.

Olijfgeheim had another delicious meal, so it remains highly recommended now with the new owners. The duck was a bit less impressive this time (my favorite). Super girls who know their customers (old genever) and GREAT that we got to speak to Minousche again for a bit … until the next time

Delicious food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

After ordering a steak tartare, it is placed on the table as soaking wet ground meat, mixed with a full tablespoon of salt in a failed attempt to serve it in a round shape. A complaint about this monstrosity is met with the response that the kitchen does not accept the complaint because too much of it has supposedly been eaten. Dear chef, please explain to me how you are supposed to taste without eating it? Just look and/or smell?

I ate here last Saturday with three friends, and all four of us got food poisoning. The staff was friendly, and the place looked cozy. I personally wouldn't eat here again.

Landed here this afternoon with a group. Booked a shared dining experience. Highly recommended. Beautiful decor, atmospheric, action-packed, lots of people on the terrace. We ate inside. What a variety of appetizers you're served. Beautiful paintings, each one truly tickling the taste buds and tasting delicious. Plenty of choice. What could be extensive, but a challenge, is a wider selection for vegetarians. They've taken that into account, and that's already great. Thanks to the team and Twan and Floor from Gastrobar TOF.

Gastrobar TOF is a great spot in Venray that hits the right balance between a relaxed atmosphere and high-quality food. The menu offers a great variety of flavors, and I advise you to come with friends and eat your evening through the entire menu. Sampling everything is the best way to experience what they do, and it’s worth it for the quality you get. The service is attentive without being overbearing, making it a reliable choice for a long, social dinner.

We ate here for Christmas: upon entering, you could already see the care and attention paid to the Christmas decorations. Beautifully decorated, cozy atmosphere. The food was incredibly delicious, portions not too large (thankfully), and lovingly prepared. And the staff was super friendly!! Everything was great! We had a wonderful time!! Thanks!

We discovered Okonomiyaki here years ago, so we just had to come back for this. We started with Taco Pulled Chicken, Shrimp Tempura, and Asian Flamkuchen (with picanha!), then both had Okonomiyaki, one with pork belly and one vegetarian. It certainly didn't disappoint! After that, we had the tenderloin steak and duck. The food was delicious, but a tip: don't order too much at once. We had no room for dessert, and I would have preferred that to the tenderloin steak. It's very noisy inside, so having a conversation was difficult. Finally, compliments on the super cute company attire!

With a group of 22 people, we were served delicious appetizers. TIP: Serve the fish first, then the dish with fried onions and cheese, and then the meat. The fish after the meat is not tasty because of the strong meat flavor.

This has been our favorite restaurant in Venray for seven years. We come here regularly and enjoy it immensely. Fantastic food and drinks. Beautiful (prepared) tableware. Absolutely gorgeous decor. Incredibly great staff! A huge compliment to the entire team. You can be proud of them, Twan & Floor 👏 Tip: it's a good idea to make a reservation so you don't get disappointed when there's no seating. Because yes, Tof is that popular!! The only downside I can think of is that I often find it very noisy. But then again, I'm highly sensitive and sometimes overstimulated by noise, among other things. The acoustics could be better, in my opinion. (Judging by the reviews, I'm not the only one who experiences this). I'll be making another reservation right away, because they have a new menu! It changes every 'x number of weeks'.

Another fantastic venue. So well designed. So atmospheric. Great product and service again. Not quite sure about the varnish on the tables, but they look shiny and clean… and the stuffed zebra. Please tell me it’s not real. The smile is uncomfortable in the extreme

Went here for the first time at my girlfriend's insistence. And she was right! Great place with delicious food and a great concept. It also has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I couldn't really find any downsides, except that I think the music was on repeat, so I kept hearing the same tune :-). All in all, highly recommended for a cozy culinary evening!

The menu always offers delicious dishes, and there are plenty of them. Dishes are great for sharing. The wines and cocktails are also excellent!

Local place with ambience, good filled menu, small bites and dishes, many Asian. Try the okonomiyaki, Japanese specialty, rare to see outside Japan. Service was maybe a bit slow, but it was a very busy summer night. Well priced

Great food and great service. The price was also very reasonable. In one word, GREAT and definitely worth it. It was a bit warm, so maybe some air conditioning or a ceiling fan would be nice if the weather gets really warm.

Wow, what a great restaurant. Almost suspicious of stars. The delicious tapas-sized portions allow me to enjoy starters and desserts without being completely overcrowded. Great, friendly service and a super luxurious, well-kept toilet make us want to come back. Sea bass and oysters were perfect, next time I'll try the veal cheeks...

Could I give a lower rating on service? 15 minutes before I got a menu or was asked if i wanted water. And it went downhill from there. So bad that later on i ordered 2 wines when I eventually got someone to serve me. They walk around with heads in the air... Just BAD SERVICE

The four of us had dinner. Very tasty food. Good service. Friendly staff. Cozy tent. Some dishes are pricey compared to the amount you get. Otherwise not at all.

Attractive restaurant with friendly service. The sandwich beforehand was excellent with a tasty dip. The two “main courses” were disappointing. The toast was supposed to be puff pastry, but I couldn't figure it out. Some cold mushrooms with a truffle sauce were on the toast. The vitello tonnato was unfortunately also cold. Then had chicken satay. I had the impression that the chicken was undercooked, but the waiter said it was cooked fat instead of meat. Not worth repeating for us.

If you say to your customers: “Maybe you should think before you order” then I will quickly get over it.

Ate here yesterday. Dishes were not quite what we expected. With the bread we received a tip with mainly salt and a few drops of olive oil. Starters were tasty and beautifully served. The dishes after this were mediocre, the scallop dish was not balanced and there was sand in the cockles. The curry was not what a curry should be. We ended up forgoing dessert. Service was attentive, but not attentive. We waited about half an hour before the food was served, we never received the extra olive oil we asked for and no questions were asked about our dissatisfaction. In summary, a great experience, but not worth repeating.

It was super tasty, the vegetarian selection was perfect. Since my girlfriend now lives in Venray, I will definitely come back again. Even gladly!

Forced into a pub for a cup of coffee due to the rainy weather. Due to the cozy atmosphere and the more than inviting menu, we opted for a late lunch. The burger was really delicious! And highly recommended... Accompany it with a beer (or two)... To be repeated.

Fantastisch restaurant! Heerlijke verrassende gerechten. En ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Wij verbleven met 9 vrienden in een vakantieboerderij in de buurt en zochten een goed restaurant. Missie absoluut geslaagd en een echte aanrader.

Gisteren hebben we erg lekker gegeten en genoten bij deze super gezellige gastrobar in Venray. de oesters rockefeller waren super lekker, De korean chicken was giga mals. bij deze zaak klopt alles, ook het gezellige en warme interieur is een lust voor het oog. we hebben genoten met een grote G.

We deden een wijntje en een hapje; oosterse kroketjes (aanrader) en tempura garnalen. De wijn (grand Rosso) is m'n favoriet! Fijne plek om te zitten, prettig personeel. Tja; wat kan ik zeggen; m'n dochter werkt er. Ik kom er graag!

Een gezellig sfeertje met verrassende gerechtjes. Leuke bediening en goede wijntjes. Er was genoeg keuze.

Lekker eten, goede bediening, gevarieerde kaart en goede locatie. Sfeervol!

Voor de prijs viel de hoeveelheid eten een beetje tegen, maar was oké. Maar de stoelen bij de eettafel zijn zeer oncomfortabel ! Het zijn zeer eenvoudige houten stoelen zonder kussens! Na een uurtje zitten deed alles pijn! Je verwacht toch fatsoenlijke stoelen als je rond de 100.- euro voor 2 personen betaalt voor dat beetje eten!?

Eten was echt heel lekker. En de service van de medewerkers is echt zeer attent. Fijn hoor. Maar de opgezette dieren is toch wel even wat anders. Maarja daar kom je ook niet voor.

Bediening super, vlot en erg vriendelijk. Eten buitengewoon Muziek echt bagger: smaken verschillen maar 1.5 uur dezelfde harde beat ondertoon wordt je niet blij van... het personeel liep er wel hard op!

Stopped off here without a reservation on a weeknight. The staff were very friendly and found us some menus in English. We ordered a selection of delicious dishes. Service was prompt, staff were very helpful and answered questions about the dishes. We ordered some extra bits and pieces after our mains had arrived and they came very promptly. Place is stylishly decorated, very clean and has a great atmosphere.

Wat een heerlijk warm bad na de koude kermis die we kregen bij 'gasterie' lieve hemel in Sevenum. Hier bij TOF was het erg druk maar desondanks waren we van harte welkom. Wat hebben we genieten van de heerlijke en mooi opgemaakte gerechte die we met zn vieren deelden. Onder meer lamsstoof, paling en kabeljauw met boringen asperges. Heerlijk! En ook veel persoonlijke aandacht van het personeel. Lekkere wijnen en zeer betaalbaar. Een absolute aanrader!

Erg mooie en nette bar. Je kunt er leuk zitten en lekker eten en drinken. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en let goed op. Ook als het druk is met de polsbandjes van L1.

Cocktails en Mocktails die gemaakt worden. En een leuke kaart met gerechten die je allemaal wil proberen. De kaart wordt regelmatig vetanderd. Bij TOF eet en drink je in een leuke, hippe en sfeervol tent. Ook met het mooie weer is het fijn zitten op het terras. Goede achtergrond muziek. En vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Echte aanrader.
