The interior is decorated a bit old-fashioned, but it’s acceptable. The coffee was fine and the pastries were too; they arrived quickly enough as well. However, they always have only one type of pastry, never multiple varieties. And that's despite the fact that there is a fine display case, which used to be well-stocked all the time. I've been coming here for years, but it definitely used to be better.

Lion D’Or is a real fixture in the heart of Venray and, for me, has become a place I almost always end up whenever I’m in the area. If you visit Venray, I consider this the kind of place you simply have to eat at least once. The food is always tasty and reliably good. No fuss, just dishes that are well prepared and that you will happily return for. Additionally, the staff is always friendly and hospitable, making you feel welcome quickly. The decor has a bit of a German vibe, which gives the place a unique character. That is precisely what makes it recognizable and cozy. I come here regularly when I am in Venray, and it is actually top-notch every single time.

For a restaurant that calls itself a lunchroom, the menu is concise. The portions are similarly sized, but not expensive. However, the beer is expensive (very expensive). There's no drinks menu, and each beer costs around €8. I find that outrageous on two counts.

After waiting 45 minutes, still no lunch. Asked where it was; they were getting bread. After waiting 70 minutes, we finally received our lunch. The soup was cold, the croquettes and fried egg were passable. Poor considering the price-quality ratio. No communication about it taking so long; there were 4 staff members and about 6 tables occupied, so it wasn't busy. Barely saw the waitress. You should be able to expect a free coffee or something, but apart from an expensive bill that is not in proportion to the quality, nothing.

A pretty nice shop...but some products are quite pricey. Friendly staff...and the food is pretty standard.

Never experienced anything like this I sat down on the terrace at 21:07. And I couldn't order tea or coffee. They only served soft drinks or alcohol after 21:00.

Kwalitatief altijd goed met daarbij een prettige bediening, Chapeau.

Wij hadden on- line gereserveerd op 2 Paasdag. De resevering werd ook bevestigd. Toen we vanmiddag aankwamen was alles gesloten. Gelukkig konden we bij de Artiest zonder reservering lunchen op 2 de Paasdag met mijn moeder.

Goed eten en mooie aanbiedingen

Lang wachten, kleine porties. Mijn vriendin kreeg maar 1 sneetje brood met geitenkaas. Beetje karig aangezien we net uit een recessie komen en het weer redelijk goed gaat met de economie. Heb daarom mijn eten dat net iets meer was dan een sneetje moeten delen. Het eten was wel lekker.

Het ligt in een redelijk deel wat goed bezocht wordt. Je kunt zowel binnen als buiten zitten. Is binnen wat ouderwets ingericht maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Je kunt een hapje en drankje nuttigen . Er is voldoende keuze uit de menukaart. Personeel is vriendelijk en voldoende aanwezig.
