We have never eaten there, but we are moored in front of it with the boat, and it is not at all a problem that the staff go for a drink after work, but shouting, screaming, and skinny dipping until deep into the night on a Wednesday evening in front of a harbor where all those people are sleeping who also paid top dollar for a berth... Tasteless!!!

The first, but also immediately the last time we came here! What were we to do with the (very friendly) wait staff, as they were being snapped at and ordered around by the boss—clearly audible to the guests inside! Simply scandalous! We had to wait more than half an hour for our chicken and goat cheese sandwiches, even though they were nothing special and didn't amount to much. Lunchtime was over and it wasn't busy. We saw that another guest also went to inquire where their order was. The bill for one 0.0% beer, one apple juice, and a chicken sandwich and a warm goat cheese sandwich was €33.70! My advice... find something nicer, it can't be hard!

Table reserved by phone; arriving there hadn't happened, but we were given a table by the water. Ordered drinks and food. Unfortunately, the garlic prawns were on the dry side; we had also ordered satay. We came to ask after the starter if we wanted coffee or dessert, saying we still needed to receive our main course. The answer was: "Oops, forgotten, it's on its way." Unfortunately, the satay was lukewarm, while the rest was nice and hot. We sent it back and received it again, which was good. Everything was fine, though; the staff were more occupied with friends who were also sitting there. I will not recommend this restaurant. I hope they learn from the negative reviews and change; the place is beautiful.

Quite by chance, we walked past on the opening day. We were offered a glass of champagne. Nice menu / agenda with fun ideas. I was excited. The menu stated: bring your friends, family, and colleagues along for Friday afternoon drinks (and mid-afternoon drinks), and we'll take care of the snacks! Great!, I thought. I rounded up my family for Friday afternoon drinks at Stijl. The snacks didn't arrive, so I asked about them. It was difficult, difficult. "Yes, that actually only applies if you're sitting inside." Uhh, excuse me? Eventually, we did get a plate of bar snacks. What I don't understand, especially when you've just opened and you advertise free snacks on your own menu, is why you wouldn't do it. There were other people sitting there, and they got nothing. We had ordered loaded nachos ourselves and, of course, a few glasses of wine. The nachos were very dry and not really loaded. A rosé costs 7 euros. Too bad, but I won't be coming back. Even though I think the concept and the agenda are super nice.

The new owners have given this Grand Café a new lease of life. The atmosphere, the service, and the cuisine are all of an excellent standard. We dined there with a large group and were all extremely satisfied.

A letdown! The chocolate milk turned into hot chocolate, sent back, cappuccino without a spoon, and as the highlight, the salmon sandwich with herb crème fraîche without herbs. No butter with the sandwiches and croquette, and the pickled onions, which were on the menu, were also missing. In short, a considerable disappointment. The waitress did her best and politely offered a complimentary cup of coffee, but we had had enough. The owner was busy instructing his staff and, in our opinion, should have paid more attention to his customers. After 'Genieten aan de Amstel', we were hoping for a good replacement. Unfortunately for us, this was a one-off!

Meh. Unfortunately. Expected more. Location. Great. Friendly. Fine. But food mediocre. Broken plates. All edges chipped. Beer glass with a crack and a sharp rim. The basics are missing here due to the generally young staff. Better management and explanation. Pay attention to what leaves the kitchen and the bar, and you stand a chance of becoming a nice location. The competition next door can do it too. Unfortunately, no more than 3 stars right now.

Ate with the family. 16-year-old helping for the first time. Had to ask for everything. Was nice though. Starter: brioche bun with chicken; the outside was still crispy, but otherwise totally soft and soggy. Chicken was decent. Tournedos 32.50! 2 pieces of gratin potato and 3 courgettes with 2 strips of bell pepper and red onion with a hard skin (hmm) was the vegetable of the day!?! Excuse me, for 33 euros? Tournedos: weird shape, sinewy, and partly tough. So steak is being sold as Tournedos! Rip-off. Hamburgers look like those frozen things you get at a campsite. Very gross! But for 18.90 you get more on your plate than for 32.50. Two drunk guys came to distract the waitresses from their work; the young bartender arranged some food for them under the table. Just a bit of a handshake to act tough. And hurling a remark at every customer who wanted to pay. Old boys' club. Excuse me? That’s not what I’m here for. The waitress doesn't come to ask if it tastes good. They are having a nice chat with each other at the bar with the bartender. You really have to ask them to come over to you. What a lousy place! Style? I don't really get the name. Which Style? Which Style do you want to project? Throwing the atmosphere, food, and service that still needs to be trained to the lions. Chic, casual? Young? Grand café? Don't get it? I think if this continues, they will be bankrupt after the summer. I/we won't be coming back. A waste of your money and your evening.

Nice and cozy cafe. Personally, we didn't think the lunch was okay; certainly not worth the money, too expensive for what was served. So, for us, it is not worth a repeat visit.

Only 3 stars for the atmosphere. Had to wait an hour for my drink. Nobody knows what is going on. There is absolutely no structure in the organization.

Yesterday, I visited here for the first time with two colleagues. The weather was terrible, so unfortunately we couldn't sit on the lovely terrace, and it wasn't busy. The service was very friendly, and after drinks—a nice white beer—we ordered the chicken thigh satay. We found it very tasty; the meat was nice and tender with a delicious satay sauce, fries, and some "greens." The portions were more than sufficient. I also thought the price was quite reasonable, so as far as we are concerned, it is definitely worth a repeat visit.

A snack platter consisting of 3 tiny bowls with some nuts, tortilla chips, and tasteless olives with lots of oil. For 14.50! No skewers for the olives, and we had to wait so long for them that we thought, well, something is coming! The place was empty, and we were left indifferent. Once in two hours, a girl came to ask for a second drink. I am never going back there.

Upon entering, we asked if we could be helped quickly, to which the response was quite curt: "if it can be done fast." That did not come across as customer-friendly. Subsequently, we were only allowed to order from the King's Day menu, while another table was eating from the regular menu. When we pointed this out, it was initially confirmed that they were regular customers, which is very strange. After insisting, it was suddenly possible after all. The fried egg was dry and was served with a small cup of mustard. Drinks took a long time to arrive (±30 min), and coffee was not available due to the busyness. All in all, a disappointing experience. We will not be returning here.

We thought we could just have a quick lunch here. The absolute worst of the peak was over by the time we arrived around 2 o'clock; most tables had already finished their food or were leaving. We had already inquired a few times after placing our order, and each time the food arrived right away. After an hour, we paid for our drinks and left. Even then, we were told that the food was almost ready... Yes, still way too late. We will never know what the food was like. Service was friendly, but insufficiently attentive to whether orders were actually getting through or being served.

Had a lovely lunch at Café Stijl in Uithoorn. The new owners are really giving the place a fresh vibe; I spoke to them briefly and it felt good right away. They have many plans for the place in the near future. Great menu, delicious food, and super friendly service. Also a wide selection on tap 🍻 Additionally, they have a fantastic terrace where you can enjoy watching the boats (which you can also rent there). They are planning to expand with additional spaces, so that promises to be interesting. Definitely a place to keep an eye on!

We had lunch today at Grand Cafe Stijl in Uithoorn. This beautiful place with a terrace overlooking the Amstel has a new owner. The food was exceptionally good, with generous portions and delicious preparation. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, and they really do their best to make it a pleasant experience. We celebrated an elderly lady's birthday, and she really enjoyed herself, and so did we. Highly recommended! And be sure to try the satay! We will be back!

Limited choice when it comes to food. The service is good, the atmosphere is a pub/football canteen, but that might be due to the large groups of young guests.

Lovely terrace above the Amstel!

We were at Stijl (formerly Geniet a/d Amstel) today and had to wait at least an hour for our hamburger; they had forgotten about us. The service was very sloppy. You had just sat down and 2 seconds later, "What would you like to drink? We just sat down." A bit quick.

I was here this weekend with my girlfriend and we were a bit disappointed. We used to enjoy visiting Genieten a/d Amstel, but this was on a different level. Ordered a veggie burger without onion due to an allergy, but it was served with red onion; I removed it myself. The cheese was nowhere to be seen. The guacamole was spread on the bottom bun, making it a bit soggy. The fries were just slightly undercooked. We also had the beetroot carpaccio; it was completely covered in wasabi mayonnaise, meaning the beetroot was barely discernible, not even in terms of taste. Ordered two glasses of wine during the meal, but they never reached our table. They were on the bill, though, and were properly deducted. The restaurant's acoustics are very noisy, making conversation a bit more challenging and giving it a less cozy atmosphere. A mistake can always happen, of course, but in our opinion, there were too many of them. We understand that the restaurant has just opened and there might still be some "teething problems." For now, it is a no; perhaps again in a few months.

Wowww…. What an asset this is to Uithoorn! Remco and Jaap have truly set up a fantastic place. So cozy and inviting. A nice menu with something for everyone. Daily special, pancakes on Sundays (great for grandpa and grandma :)… theme nights, but above all, an incredibly cozy terrace. Right by the water! We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back! Great atmosphere on the Amstel at your place 💕

Really not okay, how can you serve a chicken thigh satay burnt and completely overcooked after sending it back? Almost no one in the restaurant, so you'd think all attention should be on the customers...??

We had a delicious meal this weekend. New name and new owners who have done a great job renovating the place. Great atmosphere and excellent service.

Yesterday I ate there for the first time since the new owners took over. It was cozy and relaxed. This is the place I'll be inviting friends to this summer.

A lovely place with a terrace offering a beautiful view of the water. The staff is friendly and quick. We had a table inside, which is cozy and warm. The menu is varied, focusing on shared dining, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Dishes are served on wooden planks, creating a unique ambiance. The food was excellent, and the price-quality ratio is good. We will definitely return the next time we're in Uithoorn.

We had a tasty fried egg sandwich and my partner had a warm multigrain roll with tuna salad. Everything was very tasty and had clean flavors. Beautiful view over the Amstel...

Returned and reported the overcooked fried egg sandwich. As a thank you, I was allowed to choose a drink! Instead of a new fried egg sandwich. But I had to pay! Bad business.

The fondue is really nice! Often you need reservation and the staff is not as friendly. The menu is limited but the food is nice and the view is very nice

Yesterday I had the cheese fondue twice, almost €50 for a small container of cheese, 4 cucumber slices, 4 broccoli stalks (overcooked), 5 tomato slices, and bread. It's outrageous to charge so much for such a meager meal. The service was good, but the quality of this dish was far below par.

A wonderful place to enjoy the boats sailing by. When we were here, most of them had just come back from (the last day of) Sail. The beet salad was delicious, as was the tuna salad sandwich, though a bit sparsely filled. All in all, a great place to sit and enjoy.

We had lunch yesterday, a Caesar salad, which was disappointing; it lacked many ingredients. We also paid extra for extra smoked chicken. We thought it was a good price: €19.50 per salad. We won't be returning here again.

Yesterday, we had an unexpected dinner at Geniet aan de Amstel. The weather was lovely, so we just managed to get a seat outside on the terrace. It was nice and busy, and I saw nothing but a great atmosphere. Tasty baguette as a starter with delicious dips (didn't take a picture of that🤦‍♀️). Then the main course; I almost forgot to take a photo because I was already happily eating the Rib-eye and fries. But I took one anyway. It was delicious again and old-fashioned cozy. Nice service, quick, clean, and polite. Good value for money. So enjoy... see you soon!!!!!

Last Sunday, I had a wonderful time on the Amstel River. Beautiful location and helpful staff. I have a gluten allergy, so I mentioned this beforehand, and during my visit, the staff helped me choose from a variety of dishes. Service was fast, and the food was delicious. Definitely worth a return visit—an evening to remember!

I had a wonderful experience at Enjoy aan de Amstel, with lovely waitresses and, in my opinion, very tasty food. We enjoyed the sun. It's a top-notch restaurant.

Horribly rotten food. I would never eat here in my life. We were regulars until today. Their fish was simply rotten and smelled incredibly bad. Arrogant waitresses. A bunch of little children working there who are unhelpful and inexperienced. Their sea bass fillet was rotten and their tuna steak was frozen straight from the freezer. Terrible. Not recommended!!!! If the food inspectors come to you, your business will be closed immediately, I can promise you that!

We wouldn't be back. Sitting outside on the patio at a table that's practically falling apart on filthy plastic chairs... The pork tenderloin was very dry with little sauce. And the hamburger wasn't particularly special either. It's a shame to have such a beautiful place and not be able to compete with the quality. The price-quality ratio is disproportionate.

Beautiful place, but for me, the food wasn't fantastic. The veal with tuna sauce was good, but the side dish wasn't. I have to say, I was expecting the Italian version, which is completely different. My husband, yes, thought it was a great burger. The staff were really kind and attentive. It's a must-visit place. ❣️

Delicious food! I highly recommend combining this with Food La Route. The combination of flavors and the atmosphere make it a unique experience. Definitely worth it!

Friendly restaurant with affordable prices. We had lunch there on a Sunday lunchtime and the wait wasn't very long, although there weren't many people. Service was OK, but not very fast, which may explain the negative reviews about long waits. In any case, we were satisfied with our meal and the waitresses were very friendly!

I recently had lunch at Niet aan de Amstel. The service was very good and the view of the Amstel was truly beautiful. Unfortunately, lunch did not quite meet our expectations as the food did not seem as fresh as hoped. This might be because we arrived early, just as the restaurant opened. Despite this, the location remains special and the atmosphere pleasant. All in all a good place to enjoy the nice view, but we hope for a better dining experience on our next visit.

Delicious food, nice and friendly service and my tip: delicious tiramisu. Furthermore, the possibility to be served bitterballen on the boat, if you are in the harbour. Really cool, recommended!

As a foreigner (it seemed like that to us) you get worse service. We only had a salad and a fish soup, all guests who came later were served first. When all the guests had their food, we politely asked after another 15 minutes when the food would come. After that it came quickly. We waited a total of 1.5 hours.

Because the tram has been extended to Uithoorn, we had something to eat at Enjoy on the Amstel. Outside on the terrace. Nice service. Sandwich was disappointing. Sandwich was good (just triangle brown from AH) the vitello was 1 slice that you could see through so thin. Costs €12.50! The tuna salad sandwich was also just enough salad to cover 2 halves. Also €12.50 I can tell you. They are no longer available for me, a shame about a missed opportunity if you are visiting somewhere for the first time.

Been here a number of times now but service is very hit and miss. The prices are also no longer what they were. Everything is becoming more expensive, but here it is exceptional. So one star less.

Annoyance about the Amstel, a waste of the time we spent there, friendly staff, it must have been too busy, but it all took too long, and unprofessional service, a shame because the location is beautiful. The food is beautifully prepared in the kitchen, I couldn't make it more positive.

We had reserved a table for 2 people, but when we arrived there was actually no table available, and with a lot of hassle we did not get a table. The Location was very nice the Staff was friendly but overloaded. We had to ask every time where are the drinks, where are the fries or salad, it was very tiring and therefore we did not have a relaxing evening.

After waiting an hour for our sandwiches while it was very quiet in the restaurant, we were disappointed. We ordered a multigrain triangle with cheese and tomato. After this hour the sandwiches arrived, but on a small slice of bread which was really very little and also without tomato, the cheese was already half soft due to the heat... after having neatly indicated this, the answer was oh okay. Also indicated again at checkout and the answer was oh and whether we wanted to pay by card. We won't come here again.

I come here regularly, but the service and quality varies very much each time. Had lunch recently, the help was good and the food was okay. Made a reservation for this evening, reported us and showed us to our table. After 20 minutes we moved to Sjiek. Didn't receive a ticket, didn't take drinks, saw service 3 times without an eye for new tables. Table next to us apparently also waited quite a while for their order. It's a real shame, because the location is really great.

Food was good, nothing special. Beer was dead before it reached the table, every time and all types. After 20 minutes of waving we were able to order something to drink. Service very friendly but not knowledgeable. Walking back to the kitchen empty-handed...don't take empty glasses or containers or see if anyone wants to order something to drink. Sharing the starters very nice option.

Good and quick service, but the portions could have been a little larger. Last time tuna steaks Ate and had a generous plate. This time the portions were a bit meager. Both fish and garnish. But we will definitely come back!

It didn't go very smoothly. My father's drink was not brought and was later given in a special way. Taking our food order took so long that we decided to pay for our drinks. My father (as gruff as he is and can be) made this clear when someone finally came. Within a few minutes the chef was with us to apologize and indicated that he would still have something on the table in 10 minutes if we still wanted to eat something. That is service that should be rewarded and we still ordered it. Another drink for father the grouchy bearer of the house and we still had a delicious meal. A big compliment to the chef. Despite the young service that is sometimes a bit awkward with how to provide good service, this lady knows her trade well! My parents and I will visit again soon.

Nice place on the water. Food good. The waiter was a little too enthusiastic in telling his stories to acquaintances, so it took a bit long with the order in the beginning, but later it was fine again and he was super friendly 😃 The entire service was friendly by the way! All in all a great spot!

Had lunch here this afternoon. For 33.50 a large, half glass of rose, a whole Amstel Radler, a very small portion of tough fries, a vitello, no tonnato because a string of tasteless sauce had been sprayed over it from a tube and the rest covered with raw red onion, and two croquettes. Not recommended, we will not come back
