I had a wonderful Christmas meal, it was fantastic. I expected that, and the ice cream was so delicious. Highly recommended.

★★★☆☆ We ate here on January 3, 2026. The ambiance is neat and cozy, but the restaurant was practically empty—and remained so. We saw a three-course menu for €35 per person on Facebook, but it turned out to be unavailable. The service was friendly but clearly inexperienced: we left our coats with us, there was no wine list, and no opportunity for a wine tasting. We ordered a bottle of Verdicchio (€29) on a whim; it was served too warm, but was later neatly resolved with a wine cooler. The carpaccio (€14 per person) came on a small, very plain plate, without bread. Fortunately, the lightly smoked tenderloin was delicious. Main course: spaghetti with shrimp (€22.50 per person). Flavorful, but with exactly five small shrimp—a bit meager for the price. A knife and fork with spaghetti was a surprising choice. The tiramisu (€11) was good and the best part of the evening. I understand the costs involved, such as rent and staff, but at these prices, the hospitality and generosity should be higher. The benefit isn't in fewer shrimp, but in a satisfied feeling upon leaving.

Had a fantastic meal at Due Tempi in Uithoorn! Although I'm not normally a fan of Italian cuisine, Due Tempi really surprised me. The food was delicious – fresh, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care. The service was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and very professional. The music was a bit loud at first, but after we pointed this out, it was immediately adjusted to a comfortable level – top-notch service! All in all, we had a wonderful evening. Highly recommended, even for those who aren't necessarily a big Italian fan.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon we waited for 30 minutes to give an order, the waiter graciously avoided us while serving other customers, we overheard him saying to other customers that he is new. That’s no excuse though to let us waiting for so long, completely ingoring us, and not even remove the dirty wine glasses that we were on the table from the previous customers. Shame, as the location and view are really nice. 2 stars therefore.

The food is good there. Unfortunately, the wait for drinks and food is often too long. The prices are very out of proportion. We're on the Amstel River, not the Côte d'Azur.

Sorry, but how do they charge €4.20 for two scoops of ice cream that barely fill half the container? Ridiculous price, but the ice cream is delicious.

They have delicious ice cream there, but... Don't you dare try to eat it on the patio by the water. You'll be kindly (sort of) urged to eat your ice cream somewhere else. It's a bit of a shame, though; there are about 40 seats by the water, and there were only four customers. I think a full patio would be more inviting.

Today was a warm Sunday, a nice bike ride, and then we had some ice cream. We did the latter here at Esplanade di Due Tempi. First, we waited in line for minutes to pay. At the cash register, we only learned they were out of cones; strange, since the beautiful weather had been forecast for ages. Two tubs of ice cream, one with two scoops and one with three; €10.40, so they must have been quite large! After paying, we had to wait again because there was only one young woman serving. Finally, we got our ice cream and were amazed by the small scoops! We were so happy to finally have an ice cream, enjoying it outside in the sunshine. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing; the different flavors were indistinguishable; they all tasted the same. Sadly, we'll never have ice cream here again.

What a wonderful evening with delicious food! Great tips and a wonderful young lady, quick-witted and with a great sense of humor, who served all the tables with equal love. Jacco, the owner, was also a wonderful host, and the kitchen was fantastic! Highly recommended. Regards, Carla

Wow, my compliments really go to Yoes. This lady only knows what customer service means. Yoes really deserves a big bonus for her good service. A nice cozy location with delicious apple pie. One of my favs restaurants in Uithoorn! Very beautiful inside for cozy time in winter and nice terrace with awesome view in summer! Food its really good, And the staff it’s very friendly!

Arrived with my parents and two kids after making a reservation . Sat in the inside . Waited about 10 minutes then had to grab the menus ourselves as no one came to us . Drinks orders taken but 20 mins later no drinks . Left as given the slow service and lack of acknowledgement we would have to chase for service to get our food . First time ever experienced this in a restaurant probably been to thousands . Maybe food would have been good who knows Update - restaurant called and apologized after reading the review . Offered us 6 starters . Will update my review when I return to restaurant. For now increased rating to 2

Small menu for lunch or a snack. Many types of freshly rolled ice cream, but some flavors come 'just' from a container. Either way it tastes great! Friendly and helpful employees. Beautifully located on the Amstel!

Had dinner at Esplanade tonight, waited almost an hour for our bottle of wine. The food was delicious, but when we asked to pay we had to wait another 45 minutes before the bill came and this was because we walked back in ourselves otherwise we would still be sitting there.

Nice terrace, comfortable chairs. Unfortunately, lukewarm Cappuccino in a deceiving cup: the bottom side is twice as thick as the edge, unsympathetic staff. Too bad

This time we went for an ice cream. It is very unclear how this is arranged. It turns out to be done the Italian way: first get a receipt at the cash register. That resulted in chaos: many people in the queue had not done this. The ice cream flavors were missing name signs. The person who helped us didn't know what each species was. Half the flavors were gone. And the paid whipped cream was also gone. Ice cream is tasty in itself, but there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of working methods and service.

Very bad. 80% of the ice cream containers are virtually empty and/or sold out. Very bad way of paying, pay first and then you see what you get for your expensive money. There is no flavor in the ice cream, so coconut tastes the same as goat's leg ice cream. No labels on the containers to indicate what flavor is in them. Very young and inexpert staff who consider themselves more important than the customers. I recommend everyone to eat a supermarket ice cream as it has more flavor. AV.

Tasty lunch sandwiches. The vegetarian sandwich was also very tasty, fresh and healthy. A bit on the pricey side, but that may be due to inflation. Atmosphere and service good.

What a wonderful place on the Amstel! The service is extremely friendly and cooperative. All dishes / antipasti served are clearly made with love. Highly recommended for a wonderful evening out.

The location is great! The strawberry field forever ice cream coup was very disappointing. Way too much whipped cream and 3 tiny strawberry pieces. The other ice cream sundaes are the same: lots of whipped cream and almost no fruit. Shame. Not recommended.

Fantastic restaurant where you can sit on the water or inside. We sat by the water under the umbrellas, and were recommend a lovely bottle of white wine. We started with breads, olives and the most amazing pesto. Main courses ordered were scampi aglio olio peperoncino and polpette al pomodoro. Wow! If you want good food and a relaxed environment on the water, then choose Esplanade di Due Tempi. You will not be disappointed. Helen.

Honestly? Too expensive, not very pleasant, not special in terms of quality, three mega errors in the order and it took a really long time.

We had a delicious meal and drinks in your restaurant. The ladies serving were super friendly and professional, which made our lunch even more special. The cook pampered our aunt and even came to our table, which was a very nice surprise. We had a lovely seat on the terrace by the water. Had a delicious meal with the 4 of us on my birthday. Delicious bruschetta appetizer. Main course delicious pasta. Beautiful decor and pleasant atmosphere on the Amstel.

Delicious food on a sunny terrace on the water with a great view. Good service and attentive staff. Even if you have "special wishes" for the kitchen (vegetarian or similar), that is possible. We would love to come back.

Overpriced shop with little connection to Italian cuisine. I'll start with positive. You can sit right by the water and the view is really nice. Now comes a big but: the tables are dirty and are not wiped. However, the waitress comes relatively quickly to take the order. No menu is brought. I downloaded the menu from the restaurant's website. It turned out that the map is not up to date. Drinks were brought quickly. But they were very poorly cooled, more like room temperature. This is an Aperol spritz, which should actually be served well chilled and with lots of ice. The cost of this drink is 10€ (!). The starter with antipasti for €15 was ok, but what was offered has little to do with Italian antipasti. The store positions itself as “Italian finest”. The main course was a very generous portion of spagetti aglio e olio for €16 and baked cannelloni for €15, which tasted very much like tomato paste. The conclusion: high prices - low performance, little connection to Italian cuisine. I won't visit this restaurant again.

What a terribly bad restaurant. And not to mention the service. It took an awfully long time. When we received the starter together with the main course, the waitress thought it was strange that we did not want this. A basket with two mini sliced ​​baguettes, a few pieces of toast, 4 breadsticks for €8.00, really outrageous!!! Later the pasta was returned warmed up. The food was really delicious! The shrimp perfect.... Tasted different surprising flavors. Friendly staff. Received dinner for my son's birthday. And afterwards a glass of homemade Limoncello....hmmm divine! I will definitely come back here again.

Wonderful Italian restaurant. Dishes are prepared with taste, patience and passion. The chef keeps an eye on whether everything tastes good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

We hadn't been there for a while, but we realized that we really should eat here more often. It's always fun and we had a delicious meal again: the melanzane parmigiano was perfect, pasta with polpetti top and delicious risotto balls as an appetizer. By far the best restaurant in Uithoorn!

What a fantastic restaurant. Ate here for the first time yesterday and I regret not having walked in here sooner. Chef Sven's special menu is truly a culinary surprise. Every dish so incredibly tasty. The main course of skin-fried sea bass with risotto and tomato chutney was truly heavenly delicious. Service is extremely friendly. Decor warm and cozy. Music choice fantastic and not too loud. We will be back soon.

Atmosphere was less because it was very quiet... food delicious, staff friendly. Ice cream parlor in the front.....and summer terrace. Been twice now. Looks nice...nice fireplace. Restaurant is at the back of the business.

Had been invited to a dear friends 50 th birthday bash yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful interior and the warm welcome by the staff. We we accompanied to our table where a nice basket of assorted fresh Italian breads with olives, pesto and yummy bruschettas awaited us. A nice glass of bubbly was served as the owner of the restaurant told us a wonderful and humerus story of Marie Antoinette and why ladies were served the Prosecco in a champagne glass and the gents out of a flute. Very interesting and had a good laugh! Thanx for that up front! The appetizer was amazingly flavorful, very tasty and with carefully chosen details for the eyes as well as the tongue. The in-between scropetto ice cold, heavenly lemony and resfreshing! Main course was authentic ( we chose the meatballs ) with all the flavors of Italy inside a plate! Soooo yummy!!! The dessert was also excellent, lava cake runny inside, baked to the point outside topped with an outstanding ice cream. Tiramisu also very very good. The wines to every single course accompanied each dish just perfectly, carefully chosen and a pure delight! All in all a wonderful experience, outstanding food and a super nice staff! We will definately come back-we live outside the NL and decided it’s worth to take another trip back to Uithoorn to eat soooo well again- and can highly recommend the Esplanade di Due Tempi!!

Hier een ijsje gegeten. Personeel kortaf, gehaast (was niet druk) en onvriendelijk. We hadden vier verschillende smaken en bij alle vier overheerste de basis smaak de smaak die op het kaartje stond. Alles vlak van smaak. Op het terras kreeg iemand een verkeerd biertje. Zijn vrouw zei er iets van. De reactie van de serveerster was: "Oh en weg was ze". De heer liet het er maar bij. De naam van de salon is mooi, maar wat ons betreft blijft het daarbij. Deze slaan we in de toekomst snel over.

Gezellig restaurant, leuke aankleding en fijn dat er muziek aan staat en bediening helemaal prima. Bij mooi weer kun je lekker op het terras zitten aan de Amstel. Ik vind het wel heel jammer dat ik na thuiskomst op de bon zie dat er 1 euro in rekening is gebracht voor een broodje bij de burrata salade (die op zichzelf al niet zo heel groot is, de portie mag echt wel een beetje groter zijn). Ik heb daar niets over gezien en voor een bedrag van 20 euro verwacht ik eigenlijk wel dat dat hele kleine mini ciabatta broodje erbij zit. En voor de 4 cannoli's is 10 euro afgerekend terwijl op de kaart online staat dat je voor 4 stuks 9 euro betaald. Voortaan toch ter plekke de rekening maar goed controleren. De cannoli's zijn wel heel lekker. Maar daarom 4 sterren ipv 5. Al met al met zijn tweetjes geluncht voor bijna 85 euro, zeker niet goedkoop maar wel lekker. Nu nog zorgen dat de rekening klopt.

Ken het voornamelijk door het lekkere ijs en was nu op aanraden een keer gaan lunchen. Pasta was echt wel lekker, vond dat de portie net wat te kort kwam qua hoeveelheid, als dit ook dezelfde portie is voor diner? Prijs is volgens mij wel hetzelfde. Service was goed, jonge dame moest volgens mij even een draai zien te vinden, maar was behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Lekker ijs, bediening is wat minder als je gaat zitten. Bepaalde plekken voor ijs eten, drinken of eten. Staat nergens aangegeven maar bedienen ho maar. Pas bij navragen waarom je niet geholpen wordt buiten in het gedeelte direct bij de ingang zijn we naar het andere gedeelte gegaan. We wilden een ijscoupe bestellen namelijk maar dan moest je in het gedeelte zitten waar je drankjes mag bestellen. Als je wil dineren dan moet je naar het gedeelte aan het water.

Heerlijk gegeten. Mooie smakelijk, verse gerechten met veel smaak. Het ging wel wat mis met de bestelde drankjes, maar dat werd keurig opgelost.

Mensen kennen dit vooral al ijssalon, maar het restaurantgedeelte is erg goed vanwege de hoge kwaliteit producten waar ze hier mee werken. Bediening is vlot en vriendelijk. Prijs kwaliteitverhouding erg goed. prachtig terras ook aan het water (haven) Sinds kort kan je ook nog een hele mooie sloep huren met hapjes en drankjes desgewenst. een aanrader!

Große Auswahl an Eissorten, sehr lecker im Geschmack. Die Plätze vor dem Restaurant sind besonders idyllisch.

Uit eten gaan moet een feestje zijn...Helaas. Bediening wist niet wat voor soort witte wijn er in huis was. Verder zeer kleine maaltijd. Vooraf geen brood, tapenade of iets dergelijks aangeboden. Wel goed van smaak. Lang wachten tussen de maaltijden. Jammer.. Bediening netjes maar niet echt geïnteresseerd.

Gewoon bolletjes halen, weet ik niet. Maar als je op het terras gaat zitten om een coupe te bestellen, komt niemand een bestelling opnemen. Als je dan in de rij gaat staan voor de toonbank en je bent na 10 minuten eindelijk aan de beurt, duurt het nog bijna 10 minuten voor die coupe gebracht wordt. De meiden staan intussen achter gezellig met elkaar te chillen en laten de klanten wachten. Jaar later De procedure is verbeterd. Eerst in de rij om bij een aparte counter je bestelling te doen. Daar krijg je een bonnetje. Daarmee kan je aan de ijsbar je ijs halen. Gaat iets sneller. We hebben maar niet op het terras een bestelling afgewacht. We vonden het ijs niet bijzonder lekker van smaak. Jammer. 2 maanden later Weer eens geprobeerd, vanwege de mooie locatie. Bij de aparte counter was niemand. Aan de ijsbar werd ik als enige klant genegeerd. Al het bedienend personeel stond met elkaar te kletsen. Na 1 minuut verwaardigde zich er een om naar de counter te gaan waar ik eindelijk kon bestellen. Weinig klantgerichtheid dus. De twee ijsjes met elk 3 bolletjes werden in een te klein bekertje gedaan. In de winter geen probleem. Maar nu was het warm, dus na korte tijd klotste het gesmolten ijs over de rand. De minieme servetjes waren onvoldoende om de troep te bedwingen.

Beste Cesar salad in tijden !!! Ik kende de zaak van het overheerlijke ijs. Op aanraden van een familielid hier komen lunchen. Wat een zeer aangename verrassing in ons dorp :) het restaurant gedeelte oogt zeer verzorgd en stijlvol. Bediening vlot en vriendelijk. Goede kaart van ontbijt, lunch tot diner. Voor elke liefhebber van de Italiaanse keuken een aanrader !!

Ff een ijsje eten. Met deze temperatuur van 30C. Lekker afkoelen. Respect voor de meiden die op deze dag staan te scheppen.

De koffie is hier héérlijk! Ook het ijs en de pasta's (!) mag je niet missen.

Edit in response to business reply: Yes of course I am reviewing the right business. The point is that you do not display your ice-cream prices where your queuing customers can see them. This is very unhelpful and is not something I have encountered before. I can try to make this easier for you to understand with an example. A family is standing in the queue and the children are thinking about the ice-cream and ask their parents how many scoops they can have. Before the parents answer it would be nice if they could quickly glance at the prices so they have an idea of how much it is going to cost. This is how it works in every other ice-cream place I have ever visited but not in yours it seems. I have been a customer of yours on many occasions over a number of years and I know that you did display your prices before but this has now changed. Like I said, I don’t think this is very helpful especially at a time of price inflation when many customers are trying to keep an eye on what they are spending. The ice-cream prices are not displayed so when they are about to order, customers have no idea what their order is going to cost. Come on, it really is normal to display the prices on the wall above the ice-cream counter so your customers know what they are about to spend.

Hele lekkere ijsjes. Zoveel smaken om uit te kiezen

I was very well served at this location today in the late afternoon. Even though my son changed his mind about ice cream flavors several times, the owner never failed to serve us well. I will definitely return to the restaurant which, by the way, is very beautiful.

Ik kan niet anders zeggen, het is heerlijk om hier te eten. Inmiddels een paar maal hier geweest en Esplanade bewijst maar weer eens dat de Italiaanse keuken zo veel meer is dan spaghetti en pizza. Aanrader.

Lekker gegeten bij Due Tempi. Ben verbaasd hoe de kok in zijn kleine keuken zo geruisloos lekkere gerechten op tafel tovert! Heel goed. Mijn zwaardvis en de gegrilde groenten waren heerlijk. Stoofvlees van mijn man ook. Bediening vriendelijk, maar...... wel een beetje teveel aandacht voor de telefoon ipv de gasten... Moest af en toe zwaaien om hun aandacht te vangen omdat ze over telefoon gebogen aan de bar zat. Gezellige entourage!!

Wij komen hier wel eens vaker eten en het is echt zo’n aanrader. Heerlijk eten en fantastische sfeer, super vriendelijk personeel. De kwaliteit is te proeven, eten is verrukkelijk. Wij komen snel weer dineren. En ook de ijsjes zijn echt heeeerlijk en er is zoveel keuze.

Hier ist es sehr gemütlich und man wird freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Die Sandwiches sind sehr lecker. Gerne wieder.
