We ate here yesterday. A very nice restaurant and great service, but the food was very disappointing and not what you expect from a tapas restaurant. It didn't seem freshly prepared but reheated. I'm used to the smells from the kitchen filling my mouth; you really didn't smell anything at all. Pimba pil pil are supposed to be served bubbling in hot oil with lots of garlic and fresh chilies, but they were lukewarm and not in oil. The meatballs had a strange texture (like meatballs in a can of soup). The tenderloin, melon, and crème brûlée were very tasty. A real shame because we love tapas, but all in all, we had a pleasant evening.

Delicious tapas, great service, and excellent value. Highly recommended in Uithoorn! We'll definitely be back.

Last week I had delicious tapas on the terrace. Friendly service, delicious dishes. I've eaten here before, the fine dining concept was also great. In short, a place I love to go!

Great experience on our first visit to this restaurant last night! We were not disappointed. The sharing dishes are varied and delicious, and the service is very attentive. I mentioned that I like asparagus, and they added some to my rib-eye steak, which I really appreciated. In addition, the prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes offered. Finally, contrary to other comments I've read, the wait time between dishes was perfect for digestion, so no complaints!

It started as a nice evening. We went to try the unlimited tapas menu. First 2 courses went well. Then had to order the next course 3 times and when it finally arrived after 45 minutes it was still wrong (4 dishes how difficult can it be there is only 18 to choose from) The menu was also inconsistent. Our patatas braves (yummy!) was apparently gone so other tables got fries. The chimi churi of the diamond hare was delicious but with the second order it was apparently gone because then it was only green oil. Last course also had to be ordered 2 times. Never arrived. Everyone got food, including ours, except us. The worst thing was that it was taken from another table after a few minutes and given to us, that is really not acceptable. Then we were done with it and asked for the bill. Apologies and coffee on the house came too late for us. Vadevi the idea was nice, but they won't see us anymore. Missed opportunity!

We visited this restaurant on a busy Wednesday evening. We were helped very well by a very sweet girl who really did her best. ‘Unlimited tapas’, but after 1.5 hours we had only had our starters. It took a bit longer than expected and the food was just fine. Pan con Aioli & diamanrhaas were delicious. Redmul was a bit tough and the prawns pil pil were also disappointing unfortunately. There is still some improvement 😊🥘

Nice and innovative concept with tapas, where you choose two dishes per person per round and therefore ideal for sharing and trying many different flavors. The menu offers enough choice and everything is clearly explained. As always, the atmosphere is great: warm, stylish and inviting. For €34 you get quality on your plate. We enjoyed it and will definitely come back soon!

We were at VadeVi Da Loca on the first evening that the adjusted concept was applicable. We had a great meal with excellent service in a good atmosphere. Everything was right and nice to see that even all the tableware was adjusted to the concept. Highly recommended.

Yesterday we had tapas at the new summer concept of VadeVi. We ate very well, nice snacks, nice menu and delicious mocktails, PLUS budget friendly! Started on the terrace, very cozy and lovely sitting on the Amstel. Eventually we continued eating inside, the atmosphere was good, nice Spanish music in the background to get into the tapas mood. The whole experience was great! Really enjoyed it. Also nice for families with children, menu very accessible.

Yesterday evening was the first evening of the summer concept of VadeVi 'da Loca'☀️. Of course we had to be there. We started on their lovely terrace in the sun with the Sangria🍹 and the first tapas dishes. You immediately feel like you're in a Spanish atmosphere. When it got a bit chilly we could go inside. Nothing is too much for the team. After all, almost everyone wanted to go inside. It was really nice to be able to sit at the back of the kitchen. We ate almost all the dishes and they were delicious. We also drank two flavours of sangria, which were also great. Everything goes so well together again. I 'fear' that we will be there again next summer, even if we have to drive an hour for it, we would love to do that. Team thanks again for a great evening🤩

Had another bite to eat at Vadevi. Lovely terrace, partly covered with white table linen. Served by one of the owners, it was quiet 3 tables at that time. Nice menu with interesting dishes, also fun to share. Salad was great as was the pasta, the recommended pulpo also very good. It all looks very nice too. It's actually a shame that this terrace is not full, I'd say give it a try

In een stijlvolle omgeving wacht je een warm welkom. Informeel, maar wel gepast neemt een gastvrije crew je mee op een smakelijke trip. Ons 4 gangen men was werkelijk klasse ( de ingemaakte kabeljauw met Amsterdamse uien als hemelse kickstarter!) , met een super wijnarrangement ( o.a. Les Vignes viognier ) voor een uiterst schappelijke prijs. Ja, hier klopt alles, vooral het hart van de mensen die je een perfecte avond bezorgen

Pleasant and delicious food, will definitely come again

Onlangs heb ik een vijfgangen diner gehad in Restaurant Vadevi in Uithoorn. Op internet eindigt een promotiekst van dit restaurant met de tekst: ‘Een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding, die gepaard gaat met top service en een gezellige sfeer. Wat wil je nog meer?’ De vraag stellen is hem beantwoorden... Bij deze een opsomming van mijn wensenlijst, die opgevat mag worden als een verbeterlijst: Allereerst zou het fijn zijn als het in de zaak wat warmer was. Het is er veel te koud. Ook zou het prettig zijn als de - op zich aardige gerechtjes – aanzienlijk ruimer waren. Ze waren nu zo minuscuul dat ik in plaats van een 5-gangen diner eerder het idee had dat ik een ‘5-amuses diner’ kreeg opgediend. Vervolgens zou ik willen dat de wachttijden tussen de gangen veel korter waren. Van de 2,5 uur die ik in het restaurant heb doorgebracht heb ik 1,5 uur nodeloos zitten wachten. Dat is absurd lang! Tot slot zou het prettig als een van de eigenaren in plaats van een licht hooghartige houding een iets grotere klantvriendelijkheid zou tonen. Het zou de gastvrijheid ten goede komen. Resumerend kan ik stellen dat, hoewel het lovenswaardig is dat in een van origine boerendorp als Uithoorn sommige restaurants een poging doen met de vaart der volkeren mee te gaan, mijn bezoek aan Vadevi toch een prijzige tegenvaller was.

Of the 2.5 hours I spent in the restaurant, I spent 1.5 hours waiting unnecessarily. That's absurdly long! Finally, it would be nice if one of the owners would show a little more customer friendliness instead of a slightly haughty attitude. It would improve hospitality. In summary, I can say that although it is commendable that in an originally farming village like Uithoorn some restaurants are trying to keep up with the pace of the people, my visit to Vadevi was still a pricey disappointment.

We ordered the Christmas box for Christmas Eve. Perfectly positioned and cleverly packaged so you can clearly see what belongs to which dish. Clear explanation with videos from the site. Very surprising dishes that could be put on the table in no time. And the taste? Delicious! We know what we will do next time we have guests again for Christmas. Thank you and happy holidays!

Had dinner at VadeVi for the first time last night. I think we have found our new favorite restaurant! We opted for the 5-course seasonal menu. One dish was even more beautiful and tastier than the other. It is a fun and enthusiastic team who know what they are doing, know their stuff and really pamper you. We had a wonderful evening. Had a lovely dinner with my daughter last night. Beforehand we had freshly baked pita with humus, crayfish croquettes and oysters. We shared the main course, which consisted of salmon, prawn carpaccio and steak tartare. It was delicious. Highly recommended. Will definitely eat there again. Good atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful decor. Friendly service with 2 nice ladies. Shared several dishes with my friend. All delicious, with the sea bass tartare being a real surprise, so tasty. But the homemade croquettes, duck confit from the menu and the redfish with eel beurre blanc were also a hit. Oh yes, I almost forgot the smoked salmon from the Japanese style menu. Nice cocktail and wine list.

Finally a restaurant in the area where cooking is done at a very high level. Where you can talk quietly to each other instead of having the cafe feeling. What a delicious meal we had and what a great team. From the amuse to the dessert, everything was prepared with great care and was a joy to eat. The matching wines were great. It is not inferior to a Bib Gourmand or Gault Millau. As I heard: very good from Uithoorns.

Last Friday we had dinner at Vadevi, having reserved in advance. To our dismay, we had to wait 2 hours until the main course was finally served, after asking where the food was. While the restaurant was not even half full with guests. The food was also disappointing, the sauce with the meat was very salty and cold, with 2 dried out thin carrots. We will definitely not come back here again. Not the address for good food and good service.

I doubted whether or not I should write this review, but I did so in the hope that this does not happen to other guests. Last Friday we wanted to celebrate the holidays at Vavedi. Nice spot on the boulevard at De Amstel. We arrived at 6:30 PM and were able to quickly order a drink. Then it took way too long for our order to be taken. At 7:30 PM we finally had our starter. Ordering an extra drink was also difficult. And all this while the staff and the owner were at tables near us. Rarely have I seen such blinder-wearing staff. People next to us at a table also had to wait a long time before they could place their orders. At 8:15 PM we asked where the main course was, it would arrive shortly. We were done at 8:40 PM and my husband went inside to ask for the bill. The main course was of course then brought (it still had to be prepared at 8:15 PM), but I sent it back. Owner admitted he messed up, even though he knew everything had gone wrong before. One of those times we even told him about it. No discount, we obviously didn't have to pay for the main course and ok, we got a bottle of rosé. However, a missed opportunity and a hangover, not caused by the alcohol, from this evening. Not the relaxing start to a well-deserved holiday.

We ate here with 4 people, the menu was difficult for us to read what you could choose from. The service was very nice, but the 3-course menu took 2.5 hours. If we hadn't ordered the bill, we would still be waiting for our dessert. Recommendation to the kitchen. The wooden boards for the meat are unsuitable if the juice from the meat runs onto the table.

Had a lovely sit on the terrace with colleagues. Delicious food and nice, attentive service. Tasty dishes as a surprise from the chef. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

My partner and I dine out often and beyond that, are huge fans of tasting menus/course meals. I had the three course and he had the four. We did like our drinks, the atmosphere they were going for (mainly in the front) and the pleasantness of the staff. They seemed knowledgeable about the dishes and did their best explaining things! That said, we were in that restaurant for about 2.5 hours. It took us just over an hour to get our drinks, first and second course. That was frustrating. There was no pacing and not any attention by our waitress for when we are near finished/ finished to get our next course in a timely manner. I’ll be honest that I don’t really remember what I ate because it wasn’t memorable or what I feel to be worth the cost. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. In general, I don’t think that tables should be placed near bathrooms (where I can hear anything) and too in the path of frequent staff comings and goings (into the kitchen, etc.) but I get that sometimes I must happen. That said, there was another table available when we were seated here and I feel that that should be offered to guests first before the option of our location. While we were in the back RIGHT near the kitchen, it truly felt that the few tables in the back were not as a priority as those in the front. I think it best that one person be assigned to that area than split with up front because upfront commands the most attention and it was felt. The table near us waited almost 20 minutes just to get their bill! Attentiveness to us only happened near the very end then it was obvious we were tired and not pleased. When they brought the desert, that we waited 20 minutes for (and saw sitting in the kitchen to be served) and had started melting by the time it got to us, we immediately asked for our bill as to not cause anymore delay. I truly don’t want to appear to be negative but we really felt that this restaurant was too highly priced, didn’t have their pacing down and we felt largely forgotten in the back. I hope they can read reviews like this and try to improve.

Terras with river view, just busy road in between. Traffic from bikes and scooters with high speed, amazing that it’s allowed there. Restaurant shape is long, with cozy high seats and couch, also bar seats available wich are comfortable to sit. We choose from the small dishes and quality and presentation was nice. Taste also good, we drank several varieties of wine, not aiming on partying with food but just to enjoy wine, all good and glasses well filled. First time experience was satisfying, let’s see how next time will be.

Alles duidelijk huisgemaakt en van hoge kwaliteit. - prijs - kwaliteit : meer dan correct! Heel betaalbaar voor ongelooflijk lekkere bordjes. En last but not least : - service : perfect. Extreem vriendelijke bediening, flexibel, niet te snel, niet te traag, uitleg en tips bij vragen over menu,... Ik kan dit alleen maar aanraden aan iedereen. Als ik niet in België woonde zou ik hier wekelijks komen. *Applaus*

VadeVi pretends to a higher standard. Unfortunately, this can only be seen in the prices. The service is bad. The waitress doesn't know what is on the plate? There is no Malt Whiskey available to order. The tongue ordered in particular is of poor quality and size. The waitress does not ask if there should be any products (such as fries, for example) so you have to order later. The drinks are served in pairs for our group??!! In short, I am terribly ashamed of my English guests. In short, no recommendation from me.

Vadevi is een gezellig plek waar je kan eten of cocktails kan drinken. Ik kan niet wachten om langs te komen met een bootje en hier lekker 5-gangen te eten.

Zeer mooie zaak, heel gezellig zitten! Vriendelijk ontvangst, je merkt echt dat de bediening plezier in hun werk heeft. Heerlijk gegeten, alles klopte! Goede smaken, afwisselende gerechten. Fijn dat er rekening is gehouden met dieetwens.

Was eten met vriendinnen, hadden een tafeltje wat een kleine blik in de keuken gaf, erg leuk! We hadden een 4 gangen menu met bijpassende wijnen en alles was erg lekker! Dat mijn vriendin iets niet lustte was van te voren rekening mee gehouden. Borden waren mooi opgemaakt, en de wijnen werden op een leuke manier toegelicht. Na het eten zijn we nog even lekker in de cocktail bar gaan zitten, en de cocktails zijn ook echt een aanrader. Super mooi om te zien en heel erg lekker!

Wonderfully pampered last Friday! We opted for the 6-course menu and that was certainly no punishment. Delicious food. Everything well balanced and a nice transition in the dishes. Very nice that the request to decorate the table for a birthday was also responded to. That really gave that extra something, thank you very much!

Had a delicious meal at Vadevi again tonight. A surprising menu with a cigar from your own box for dessert. Matching wines that complimented the dishes fantastically. Dietary requirements were also well met. A party to be pampered. The dishes were also explained in perfect English by Estelle. We have been wonderfully pampered again and will come back soon for a festive evening!

We hadden het 4-gangen verrassingsmenu met een wijnarrangement. Service was goed maar in combinatie met het eten was de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding niet in balans, echt veel te duur (90-100 pp) voor wat je qua kwaliteit en hoeveelheid eten krijgt. Wij gaan hier iig niet meer eten

Laats hier wezen eten, bijna een jaar open nu. Heerlijk gegeten, goeie bediening, super lekkere cocktails en ze hadden die avond ook nog een DJ. Kortom echt een feestje!

Mooi restaurant, fijne bediening. Eten was oke. We begonnen met blini's met gerookte zalm en crème fraiche. Dit was letterlijk alsof ik t bij de Albert Heijn had gekocht. Maar het meest bizarre was dat de blini's niet opgewarmd en fluffy waren (dit los je op door 15 seconde in de magnetron te gooien zoals op de verpakking staat). Hierdoor waren de blini's hard en taai. En dat voor maar liefst 14 euro!!!! Erg jammer. Ook de Argentijnse beef vooraf was het net niet. Alle ingrediënten waren aanwezig maar er had net wat meer liefde in gestopt mogen worden en dan was het een lekker voorgerecht geweest. Het leek net alsof het niet helemaal afgemaakt was. Als hoofd namen we de heilbot, deze was erg lekker! Toetje was oke. Lichtelijk aangebrande crème brulee. Wachttijden waren netjes, maar er waren maar 2 andere tafels (avond vóór kerstavond). Cocktails waren erg goed! Ik vond het een prima avond met redelijk eten. Ik vond het alleen net te duur voor wat het was. Ik zou niet zo snel teruggaan of het restaurant aan mensen aanraden.

Gezellige avond gehad. Leuk restaurant qua aankleding en locatie. Vriendelijke vlotte bediening. Wel prijzig. Onze gerechten smaakten erg goed.

In mei 2022 heerlijk gegeten bij deze parel van Uithoorn!! Omdat wij helemaal tot het gaatje gingen (4 gangen a la carte met wijn, nog meer wijn en dessertwijn) was het niet goedkoop, maar het was de moeite waard! Mooie ambiance, heerlijk eten. Alleen de jus bij de diamanthaas was veel te zout. Verder niets dan lof!! (Prettige bediening.) In november 2022 was ik er weer. Nu met een vriendin en nu ben ik wat minder enthousiast. Zou nu 3 sterren geven. Geen broodje vooraf als service, geen amuse. De entrecote was perfect gebakken, maar er zat bijna geen jus bij (die wel apart genoemd werd op de kaart). Op onze vraag om wat extra jus kregen we heel snel en extra kannetje. Fijn! Maar ooh, wat was de jus weer zout. Vond ik, mijn vriendin vond dit helemaal niet. Wat ik echt het minste vond was dat de puree lauw was en de groenten van het seizoen kon je met een loep nog nauwelijks vinden. Half plakje biet, ienemie stukje broccoli en nog iets. Tesamen niet meer dan een koffielepel. Maar alla, bediening was vriendelijk en mooie entourage. Lekkere, maar heel dure huiswijn.

Vanavond gezellig met vrienden en onze zoon van 11 gegeten bij Va De Vi. Enorm naar uitgekeken want hun vorige onderneming was enorm goed. Vanavond hebben wij lekker gegeten, maar jeetje wat duurde alles lang en we moesten meerdere malen vragen voor drinken. De 6 gangen verrassing menu was best lekker, maar de panna cotta was helaas niet een panna cotta, maar jelly. De meloen bolletjes in rum, waren van een hele hoge alcohol percentage, deze waren niet geschikt voor een jongetje van 11. De bediening wist eigenlijk ook niet wat ze aan het serveren waren, “ja een kaas uit de Beemster met een broodje”. Jammer want het eten is goed en met wat puntjes op de i, kan het een fantastische ervaring zijn. Wij zaten achterin en tegen het einde van de avond zat ik verkleumd op de stoel, ik had het zo enorm koud. Kon niet wachten om mijn jas aan te trekken. Reserveer een tafel voorin.

De goede recensies maakten ons nieuwsgierig. Helaas zijn de verwachtingen niet waargemaakt. We hadden wat moeite met de onverschillige, kauwgumkauwende ober die ons niet een echt warm welkom gaf. De jonge mensen die er ook werkten waren alleraardigst, maar zouden iets attenter kunnen zijn op lege glazen etc. Het eten was lekker van smaak, maar de porties te klein. En we moesten lang wachten.

While the restaurant was not busy we had to wait a long time for service and between courses. The portions are quite small, and while the food is nice we didn’t think it was real value for money. There were a few very noisy (drunk?) guests in the restaurant and this really disturbed our evening, while it seemed to entertain the staff, it bothered us a lot. I think the restaurant has great potential but there’s a bit te learn regarding looking after the guests.

Excellent food and wine. A treasure for people seeking finer dining options. We celebrated a family member’s birthday at their October 5, 2022 wine tasting event with paired Spanish wines and courses in a joyful and fun atmosphere. On a rainy October night, the view from our table offered a look into the chef’s working kitchen creating more coziness. There’s happy energy of teamwork among the attentive staff and owners for authentic hospitality. It’s a welcoming and fun atmosphere for your dining experience. The splurge is worth it. Werkelijk fantastisch gegeten bij Vadevi. Een verrassingsmenu is echt met iedere gang een aangename verrassing. Heerlijke en verrassende combinaties van eten en wijn. Top eten en drinken op een heerlijke locatie.

Op Een mooie plaats met heel goeden bediening en het eten was ook heerlijk aanraden de burger.

Warm welkom! Heerlijk gegeten! Top gerechten. Toch zijn er ook wel enige min puntjes. De logistiek van de kok is niet top de gerechten kwamen met een tussen pose van een uur veel te lang!! Ook had ik een vissoep die met garnalen op de kaart stond en kreeg met mosselen en kokkels met de boodschap dat de garnalen niet te gebruiken waren. Beetje slordig dat het niet is gemeld stel dat ik niet van mosselen houd! Wij hoorde wel meer tafels waar het mis ging te zoute gerecht. Verder zou ik het personeel willen vragen de borden iets sneller uit te halen wij zaten ruim een half uur met vuile borden voor ons. Hoop dat jullie van leren dan geven wij jullie nog graag een nieuwe kans.
