Gesha Coffee Bar in Wijk 03 Nijmegen-Oud-West

Maybe i am a bit biased because I just come back from an Italy trip, but sadly I was a bit underwhelmed. Really did not like the cake (taste, consistency) and also the coffee was not exceptional. The staff was friendly and prices were good. The smell of the Empanadas was good.

The best coffee, delicious food (try the empanadas!) and a nice respite from busy downtown. My favorite place in the city!

Love this Caffè. In a nice place on the coast of the river in Nijmegen. Super nice view and energy. Nijmegen has a few nice places, but this one is really lovely. Service is good, they have a good coffee and lovely cakes. Gluten-free and vegan options. Just 10 min from the very centre of Nimma. P.S.. New pistachio ice coffee is amazing

A wonderful restaurant for a delicious breakfast, excellent coffee, and lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Located on the Waalhaven, just outside the city center, it's an oasis of tranquility (especially around the Four Days Marches).

The two of us had lunch here on Sunday afternoon. Nothing to complain about the food or the drinks, but the service could be a lot better in my opinion! We regularly eat out but as far as I know we have never had to wait so long for 2 drinks and then the food. And with me many other guests. People even left after waiting quite a while for the service to come and take their order. It really wasn't busy, so that can't have been the problem. Understaffing? Maybe, but serving a small terrace with 3 people shouldn't be rocket science. A shame, paying a little more attention to the terrace and the guests would definitely do you good. Hopefully better next time!

Super chill bar on the quay, very atmospheric inside, very relaxed terrace. Delicious lemonade and empanadas in the sun by the water, what more could you want?

As a Turk I can definitely approve of Turkish Eggs and I can say with full conviction that you can find the most delicious empanadas here! 👍😋 I really enjoyed the food! Thank you Christina! 🙏❤️

Great coffee place, good beans, nice crowd and good spot at the harbor. Like their pastries and the offer some original dishes and choices rather than the plain old simple things everyone offers. Recommend the cortado or the long black

Enjoyed the coffee and brownie with Dulce de Leche. The place has an argentinian influence offering empanadas and desserts. Fantastic location with views to the harbour, perfect for a sunny day. Also cozy inside with modern decoration. The service was not the most smooth. At some point they had 5 people working, but it seemed like they were reaching capacity even though the place was not full. Bit difficult to order and the waiters seemed stressed.

Had a lovely lunch. Tasty empanadas. Chicken was nice and spicy and I loved the beef. The goat cheese was also very tasty. In short, a lovely meal and a lovely seat.

Went for a cappuccino together with a friend who is a barista and coffee roaster and it was delicious. Always nice to have a coffee connoisseur who wants to try these types of coffee bars :)

I had a nice meal and drinks there with my group. However, I didn't think the tent itself was very clean, a bit dusty. I thought I would use the toilet before I left, the toilet seat in the ladies' toilet was broken and had a crack in it and there was a kind of caked layer of urine on the inside of the seat. This means that it has not been cleaned for a long time. 2 stars for the food but for me this was the last time.

It was a very cozy Latin coffee bar. Geat coffee and the cakes were lovely. We are making plans to try the lunch here.

What a nice place! Come to taste sweet or savory dishes, everything is delicious. Sit comfortably in an armchair or around a small table and let yourself be inspired by the place and the smile of the waitress.

Nice and cosy place with a view on a small bay. It is rather small inside, more places outside if weather allows. You may need to wait until waitress comes, but they do compensate that with very nice coffee and delicious pastries!

For a breakfast appointment I was looking for a nice place where you could possibly sit outside. That's how I found Gesha. Nice cozy place with a view of the harbor of Nijmegen and the new-build flats. Delicious breakfast with warm rolls, cheese, jam, tomatoes, avocado, orange juice and yogurt with granola 🥰

Gesha is the kind of place where you get great coffee and you relax after or during work. I can imagine people getting all sorts of awesome business ideas while at Gesha. The people there were lovely and shared a couple of local spots that we ended up enjoying.

Nice thing. Real fresh coffee. You can park practically in front of the door and from there you can walk via the water towards the Waalkade and Nijmegen lower city.

Like a sommelier with wine, I find joy in the complexity of coffee flavors – narratives of soil, sun, and rain distilled into a cup. At Gesha, the ritual becomes part of the charm. Presented with a curated selection for my filter coffee beans, I let the aromas lead, and the La Bonita from Colombia by @blommerscoffee spoke to me, its scent a promise of stories to savor. A chat with the barista turned into a lesson in flavor identification. I’m still learning, but I’m beginning to untangle the subtle threads of ‘floral’ notes, thanks to their guidance. As the last drops of La Bonita graced my palate, I indulged in a vegan EMPANADA with jackfruit rendang, complemented by a hint of coconut milk. It’s these moments of discovery, these rich flavors, that make my solo visits to coffee bars not just a habit, but a voyage of taste and learning.

Gesha is the coffee place that I completely fell in love with during the first lockdown in 2020. From that moment on, I always felt welcomed. Rose & Christine give me and my companions a feeling of coming home and Spain every visit. From full coffee beans with a small cake to a glass of wine with empanadas! Me encanta! You can also regularly find me here for breakfast and lunch, and of course coffee to go.

The coffee is always perfect, and the treats in the display case are all delicious. Personal favorite is the brownie with dulce de leche, enjoy! The terrace is located in a wonderfully quiet spot on the Waalhaven, very nice to sit there.

Empanadas are really delicious! Especially the one with jackfruit. I have always experienced service as friendly and pleasant. At busy times it is noisy inside, but the terrace outside is a great alternative :) Recommended!!

After weeks of longing for a brownie, I finally got to taste it. Tasty combination of chocolate and dulce de leche, but rich. The goat cheese empanada was delicious. Despite the tasty snacks, I still left with an unpleasant feeling. The way a barista interacted with his colleague was very uncomfortable and disturbing to experience as a customer. The barista was impatient and disrespectful to his colleague and clearly showed and heard this. Working in a café is stressful but that is no excuse to treat each other like this, especially not to customers!!

Great little place with good quality espresso

Honestly some of the best coffee I've ever had. Extremely knowledgeable staff bring out the best in a changing variety of specialty roasts. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, whether you're getting some work done or taking a break with a loved one.

One of the best, if not thè best coffee place in town. Hipster coffee can be used as a derogatory term, but it can also just mean a place where they take buying, making and serving different kinds of coffee extremely seriously, in a modern and dynamic atmosphere. This is just such a place! The baristas have earned several prizes to prove my claim, the 'coffee workshop' I had here is the best one I've had so far. Add all day (slightly less sweet) cakes, empanadas and a view over a working harbor. A heartfelt recommendation!

I came here with friends out of curiosity after reading that this is the number 1 cafe in Nijmegen. I came again almost a year later. The taste, quality and environment remain the same. The ambience is great because it’s by the River. I personally love the Cafe Mocha here and highly recommend it. It’s the best Cafe Mocha I’ve ever had. Great place and deserves a 5 star fully.

The fruity coffee is tasty, slightly bitter. Of course it is beautifully served. You can also go here for various empanadas. Enough veg(an) options. Very friendly staff, without too much knowledge of beer. So just drink coffee in the coffee bar. 😉

Coffee is good & cakes are also very tasty! Service is quite ok, however the coffee place itself can be a bit dirty which is a bit weird based on the overall quality of the food & drinks!

I regularly come here for a cup of coffee, preferably with something tasty. The decor is really beautiful and the staff is pleasant. They are friendly but not annoyingly overly friendly. The location is a perfect fit for a tour of bridges.

If you just want to drink good coffee then you are in the right place, if you also want something tasty with it then you are even better here. Beautiful location, with a view of the harbor, the Waal and the Honig factory. Still rough now, probably smoothed out in five years.
