If you don't have very high expectations, this restaurant is okay. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere has more of an old-fashioned feel and is cozy. The food is not my favorite; too salty and the beef not tender enough.

We were very satisfied! The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The baked bananas for dessert were especially wonderful – a perfect end to the meal. We were also delighted with the service. The lady who served us was exceptionally kind, friendly, and attentive. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant!

Best authentic Cantonese Chinese in Amsterdam. Prices aren't as crazy as in the city center either. Normally I travel all the way to The Hague for authentic Chinese, but I can come here!

Unfortunately, I ate here for the second time and it was very disappointing. The wonton soup was truly tasteless. For the main course, we had nasi sil jan fan. Normally that is rice mixed with meat; the meat came separately. The nasi was reasonable, but the rest was very dry. In short, unfortunately, it is not worth a repeat visit.

What used to be a typical "Dutch Chinese" with mediocre quality has now become an authentic Chinese restaurant. The quality of the food has improved enormously compared to before, and the menu has been greatly expanded; a much larger selection of dim sum (of much better quality), tasty Cantonese dishes, tender chai siu (which could sometimes be dry before), and good Peking duck. I no longer need to go to Sea Palace for good, authentic Chinese food. Highly recommended!

As a Chinese person this restaurant came as a huge surprise. Food tastes authentic (Cantonese), absolutely delicious, and generous portions! Beautiful Chinese style interiors too. Genuinely better than many Chinese restaurants in the city center. Definitely will come back many times again. 非常好吃地道的粤菜💖分量很足

Authentic Cantonese dishes have also recently started appearing on the menu. Very tasty, and it's great that this is now available on IJburg as well. You don't have to go all the way into the city anymore.

No. 49 Pffff old Moksi Meti Pfff old Poor Quality Rice regarding Nasi I was last here in 2016 and the taste etc. was still good enough. Disappointing to spend money on this again in 2026!

I was craving for chinese dimsum and found an excellent place to order from! I ordered via phone and the food was just as tasty as it should be. Large Ha Kauws, tasty Hor fun. Will definitely try the rest of the menu next time.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing! I ordered food over the phone, and after about 45 minutes I went to pick it up. The ladies indicated the cook was a bit behind. I was offered mini spring rolls. When I got home, I got a call saying they forgot to send me the satay. I quickly turned it around and picked up the satay. When I got home, I forgot the portion of nasi! The satay was one disgusting batch of caked-on satay sauce! I ordered koe loe, yup! They sent me pork (it didn't look very inviting with the bell peppers and pineapple)—completely different. Babi pangang, a single container full of roasted pork. Without any tasty sauce, nothing... I called them, but suddenly they didn't quite understand it anymore. I had to explain everything I don't know how many times. While I just had a conversation with the ladies in the store? Finally, I got my money back for the satay and nasi delivery. Well, ladies, you mentioned in the store that there's a new cook and that he doesn't understand you well. But you all don't get it. You paid a fair amount of money for terrible food. Hopefully, you'll do something with this, because we all want to make money!

It's a shame everything has gone downhill. I found it strange that my order tasted different than before. No more large chicken spring rolls, the chicken satay tasted awful, and the noodles and nasi aren't what we're used to. In short, everything is different. It's inedible! My €85 order went straight down the drain. When I called them about it, it became clear that the business had been taken over and they had a new owner. Such a shame, the food has become absolutely tasteless! I'll never order from here again.

Hidden gem I didn't know there was a Cantonese restaurant in IJburg. I saw it on TikTok and wanted to try it. The good dim sum places are mostly in the center of Amsterdam, difficult to reach, and parking is expensive. But this one is very easy to get to, and there's an affordable parking garage underneath the restaurant. From the outside, it doesn't look like a Chinese restaurant. Very friendly staff. Nice and extensive menu. If you're in the mood for delicious Cantonese food, you should definitely try this place. Dim sum dishes are delicious. A must-order is the sieuw mai.

It's a real shame that the chicken spring roll has been removed from the menu. Their replacement, smaller spring rolls with a bit of chicken, are absolutely not a good substitute, they're just plain bad. The mini spring rolls were also tasteless. So, it was clearly not tasty, and went straight into the bin along with the smaller and mini spring rolls. The satay and mini spring roll sauces were both grainy/lumpy and also went straight to the trash bin. I don't know what it is, but the noodles and nasi goreng didn't live up to the taste I used to get from them. But the mistakes are piling up. I also didn't get what I ordered with my previous order. The chicken spring roll was still there, and I got a Chinese spring roll. Chinese food is Chinese food, but I don't like this. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

We were surprised to find a familiar taste of home in an unassuming restaurant on the island, complete with the familiar local accent. The waiters served us warmly in Cantonese. The shrimp dumplings, rice noodle rolls, honeycomb tripe, and rice noodle rolls were authentic. The roast duck had crispy skin and tender meat, and the lamb stew was especially delicious!

A wonderful surprise in Amsterdam! We accidently ran into this restaurant by chance while exploring Amsterdam, and what a fantastic find it was! The food was absolutely delicious—we tried the Peking crispy duck, pork siu mai, roasted pork, and rice noodle rolls with shimp. Everything was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

What used to be a great place has now completely lost its appeal. It's gotten expensive, and the portions are getting smaller. The bowls are filled to the brim with sauce, only to find a few pieces of meat in them. And that's not even mentioning the prices of a (small) bowl of nasi or bami. Price-quality ratio isn't recommended.

Terrible, I ordered chowmin with chicken, the vegetables in the chowmin was smelling. I was also charged €4.50 more than the price mentioned in the menu card since I dined in the restaurant. So be aware and careful.

Today we ate in this restaurant for the first time. The food was good and the staff very friendly. We had the 5 course menu for 4 people where all flavors were served. The interior was chic and neat. We will definitely come back😍

Nous avons décidé de mettre 5/5 etoiles car la nourriture servie dans ce restaurant est vraiment très bonne, les légumes sont savoureux et croquant, le bœuf étais très bon et pas d’un aspect caoutchouteux comme dans d’autres restaurants asiatiques, lors de la commande des nouilles au poulet nous avions le choix entre larges nouilles et fines nouilles ce qui n’est pas dans tous les restaurants. Pour 88€ nous avons commandé : 1x soupe de poulet 2x croquettes de porc 1x bœuf tipan sauce à l’ail 1x nouilles au poulet 1x 1 litre d’eau plate (chaudfontaine) 1 bière shing tao 1x coca 1x pisang orange Je ne peux qu encourager cette établissement à continuer dans la même voie, leur prix sont correcte et la nourriture est très bonne. Félicitation à eux et à bientôt 💪👌🙏🚀

We regularly order food from De Gouden Kom and are very satisfied. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you'd like something a little different. As mentioned in a previous review, this restaurant is underrated, which is a shame, because if you want good Chinese food anywhere, it's De Gouden Kom.

An excellent Chinese restaurant that is a bit anonymously tucked away next to the entrance to the parking garage, but very worth going to for a meal.

We were too hungry and cold and looking for a decent place. That’s when we found this underrated place. The flavours were so good, that we ordered everything twice. Amazing food quality, quick service and very polite and warm people. Loved it.

Got two spring rolls. Dramatically bad! Actually floated in the frying oil and were completely tasteless. For 12 euros you can expect more. How dare Gouden Kom give this to customers? Never come here again.

Wow go easy on the soy sauce bruh 😳 You almost accidentally gave me a whole teaspoon of it 😂 Very generous. I ordered a takeaway: 4 gyozas and a Shui Kao soup. The gyozas were nice, the flavor of the soup bit too salty, but the shrimp the worst. It was clearly old, if not days old. It was hard to chew and not cleaned properly. Like it was chopped up and maybe even ground together with other meat because it definitely did not smell and taste nor look like it was only shrimp. I think after 3 bites I am even going to have to say it was the worst, I never had shrimp like this anywhere else before and couldn’t finish eating it.

Wir haben das Lokal bei einem unserer Städtetrips nach Amsterdam kennengelernt. Es lag nicht weit weg von unserem Hotel, daher hatten wir uns für eine Abholung entschieden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen innerhalb kurzer Zeit fertig zum mitnehmen. Wir hatten uns für Babi Pangang speciaal mit Reis entschieden. Und zehn Mini Frühlingsrollen hatten wir auch noch mitgenommen. Im Hotel angekommen waren wir positiv überrascht über die Portion. Alleine hätte man das nie geschafft. Für zwei Personen perfekt. Es war super lecker, das Fleisch zart und die Soße hat genau so geschmeckt wie sie schmecken sollte. Wer mal in Ijburg unterwegs ist, sollte da gern mal vorbeischauen. Essen im Lokal ist wohl auch möglich!

Have ordered a few different dishes from here and on the whole the quality of food is poor especially for the high prices.

I didn't like the tenderloin with oyster sauce: little flavor and very oily. The omelet was tasty.

Het Gadogado gerecht bestond uit enkel taugé met pindasaus. Alle andere groenten waren weggelaten? Toen ik de dag daarop navraag deed, vertelde de dame achter de counter me dat dit zo hoort. Teleurstellend en ik ga hier nooit meer iets bestellen.

We hebben afgehaald bij het restaurant voor 2 personen. Het eten was echt heerlijk! Het restaurant zelf ziet er gezellig uit.

Vaste prik voor een Chin Ind Spec Rest rijsttafel met alle klassiekers: babi pangang, fu tong hai, loempia, bami/nasi/mihoen, pisang goreng en uiteraard sambal erbij.

Kom hier al jaren als ik trek heb in chinees eten. Het is er vaak rustig. Aardig personeel.

Eten is beter dan gemiddeld. Prijzen ook wel :)

Kwaliteit, prijs, bediening, menukaart is gewoon uitstekend. Kan iedereen in Amsterdam en omgeving aanraden hier naartoe te komen als je chinees buiten de deur wilt eten.

Het ziet er van buiten erg onopvallend uit. Binnen is het een netjes verzorgd, typisch Chinees restaurant. De bediening is heel vriendelijk en snel. De menukaart is redelijk standaard maar het eten is verrassend lekker en zeer betaalbaar. Prima om snel even met de kinderen te eten.

Helaas was het vlees uit weekmenu..koud..nooit eerder gebeurd.

Niet heel erg bijzonders en vrij duur. Maar wel gewoon ouderwets Hollands Chinees. Tot twee keer toe zat er echter iets niet bij de bestelling wat we wel besteld hadden. Hierover bellen was behoorlijk onbeveredigend, alsof wij verzonnen dat de spoeciale saus voor het peking eend gerecht er niet bij zat. De hoeveelheid pekingeend was ook teleurstellend weinig, nog niet eens een kwart bakje vol en dat voor 14 euro. Het was mooi geweest als ze een gebaar hadden gemaakt, gezien wij heel erg vaak bestellen,maar bij deze Chinees is de klant blijkbaar geen koning.

Het eten is goed maar prijzig. De bediening is vriendelijk en attent. Jammer dat er geen uitzicht is, voelde me een beetje opgesloten.

Het eten is "origineel nederlands chinees" lekker voor de nostalgie van de jaren 70 toen alleen nog de chinees in elk dorp zat. Kom hier wel vaker voor de snelle hap. Normaliter kregen we altijd een klein schaaltje met kroepoek voordat het eten geserveerd werd. Gisteren niet.... Toen ik er om vroeg werd mij te verstaan gegeven dat dit een extra 2,00 euro zou kosten voor een desert schaaltje kroepoek. Vind het beetje van het knieperige..... nu hebben ze naar hun fooi kunnen fluiten.

Lekker gegeten, ouderwetse Chinees

Heerlijk pekingeend eten en de lekkere sechuan rijsttafel. Altijd heel vriendelijke bediening

Ben redelijk verwend qua Chinees eten, (getrouwd geweest met één) maar het is wel o.k, dus haal ik er soms wat. Het is er netjes, personeel is vriendelijk.

Altijd fijn om in een tijd waar ineens elk soort eten uit praktisch elk land hip is, gewoon weer het ouderwetse gevoel terug te krijgen van 1x per week naar de Chinees vroeger. Goede verse producten, ook gestoomde hapjes en seizoensgroenten verwerkt in de traditionele Nederlandse Chinees. Lijkt alleen om mee te nemen, maar binnen is zeer veel plaats om te zitten en direct aan tafel te gaan.

Doorsnee Chinees alles smaakt hetzelfde. De afhaal service was niet sympathiek en onverstaanbaar.

A 750ml bottle of water cost €7, which is ridiculous and we got 2 of them. The prawn crackers were dry and some chips were burnt. However, the rest was good. The dishes were quite tasty and staff were helpful. However, the water was very badly priced. Nice setting and vibe but the water really let it down.
