Grand Café Audrey's in Wijk 03 Brummen

The food was exceptionally bad. We ordered the beef burger with mayonnaise instead of BBQ sauce, but we just got BBQ sauce. The lettuce on the beef burger was cooked through, and the tomatoes were old. The mayonnaise also had a yellow edge on the plate, indicating it was dried out and not fresh. The pork tenderloin with red wine sauce was delivered raw, even though we ordered rosé and without red wine sauce. It was sent back to the kitchen. The slices of pork tenderloin were lightly fried on one side, but the other side was just as raw, still without red wine sauce. Furthermore, we were infested with fungus gnats above the table, landing in our wine or beer. A real shame, but we were still charged full price. We certainly won't be returning. A truly terrible chef.

We waited more than 30 minutes on the patio. The staff said, "I'll be right there," and then helped several newcomers, leaving us at a dirty table. Then we left. What terrible, rude service.

This is clearly a case of the location being excellent, but the rest being mediocre. Today I settled down on the beautiful terrace in the heart of the village of Brummen at Restaurant Kromhout. It's a truly lovely spot and a very comfortable terrace for lunch or dinner... but oh well! The staff is friendly, but not very attentive and often chatter amongst themselves while empty plates, glasses, and so on are scattered across various tables. After my otherwise excellent double espresso, I ordered a Tuna Melt for lunch, advertised on the menu as tuna salad with melted cheese. It turned out to be two slices of brown bread, one with a thin layer of tuna salad and a layer of melted cheese, and the other with nothing but melted cheese. And that cheese had melted a while ago, in other words: it had been sitting at the counter for too long and had gone cold, so the second sandwich had become a kind of tough shoe sole made of bread and cold, congealed cheese. Only the slice with the tuna salad was still somewhat edible... but also clearly had been prepared a while ago. When the young waitress finally came to clear the table and asked if everything had been to your liking, I pointed to the "shoe sole" slice and pointed out that the chef had clearly forgotten something. There was no reaction whatsoever. When I again indicated that this couldn't be right, she said she would "check with the kitchen," which, of course, didn't happen. There was no reaction, no feedback, nothing! After this disappointment, I decided to leave and this time not to tip when paying, even though I normally always do, and generously, because I know that's what hospitality staff rely on. But it certainly wouldn't have been deserved. A huge disappointment; next time, I'll go to a real restaurant.

Beautiful building, friendly staff. It's surprising, though, that when you order a mixed grill for €31, which, according to the menu, comes with vegetables and fries, a container of fries appears, but the "vegetables" are hidden among the meat. The vegetables consist of 16 carrot strips, probably two whole carrots, and several tiny pieces of runner beans, probably two or three whole runner beans. A very small amount of vegetables. A very tasty sweet potato sauce, however, was served over the meat. It's a shame that it was also very small.

Best terrace in the evening sun. Friendly staff. For a full 5 stars, I still need to discover the rest of the ambiance. Definitely worth it.

Steak on the menu was 26, on the bill it was 32, "Daily price sir", it was not mentioned on the menu that the steak is based on daily price. Also 0.50 extra on the bill for the whipped cream with the Italian Coffee, which is standard with whipped cream of course. Eating out costs money, no problem with that, but that the bill is different from what is stated on the menu is very mediocre!

We sat for at least 15 minutes when we approached someone to order something to drink. Also immediately ordered lunch. Croquettes were not warm. The salad well. The checkout was a disinterested intention. As a customer, I also don't need to hear a manager's unfriendly approach to people.

What beautiful people. Pastries and coffee highly recommended. Pastries are fresh, the coffee is good and nice and hot. Nice and new furniture.

Nice place where you are seen. Affordable and delicious. Service with humor, when you enter for the second time you are already greeted as if you were an acquaintance.

We had to wait quite a while for the lunch we ordered. Expected more quality based on the price. The interior is beautiful and can be very atmospheric.

Beautiful terrace on an incredibly boring square. Service was a bit inexperienced but friendly. Unfortunately, the price of a 200(!)ml bottle of cola €3.40 is the new normal.

Cozy environment, warm, atmospheric. Service male service a bit too. But correct. Food is at restaurant level. Just a shame about the chilly draft on the legs.

Ate here last night, on Valentine's Day. We had reserved a "Valentine Sharing Dinner" for two people. We really liked that! Wonderful taste sensation, friendly staff and good atmosphere. In short, a beautiful experience! I do have two small points of criticism: The main course was not for sharing, which I personally thought was a shame. And the time between courses could be a little longer. Do not serve too quickly in succession. For us, this visit is definitely worth repeating!

We had dinner here last Saturday, and that was a real experience! Received a very friendly welcome by the staff and then a really special meal, the two young chefs are very creative and skilled. The wait staff was also very friendly, in short: they will definitely see us again here!

Very friendly and attentive service. We were in a place with a lot of draft from the entrance where smokers were constantly walking in and out for their much-needed nicotine addiction. A curtain doesn't help. But price-quality ratio was also disappointing. Although dishes were quite okay, but certainly not very exciting, the portions are on the small side. Something will change soon, renovation of the facility. Who knows, maybe there will be more balance in the experience of eating out.

Very unfortunate. They have cameras hanging "in" the restaurant. We felt very watched. No privacy.

Service was very fast, a bit abrupt but polite, everything was a bit overdone and for a grand cafe on the one hand chic/culinary, but the loudness of the guests was disappointing. The bar is also located in the middle of the restaurant, so there are a bit of mixed feelings about this. The portions were sufficient as long as you ordered extra. No idea if the fries were standard and little mayo, but without salad they were sparse with vegetables, steak almost raw and little seasoned, so a small seven from me.

A charming restaurant in itself, but price-quality and price-quantity ratios leave much to be desired. E.g. for parfait with rhubarb and red fruit (I took it because I wanted to get some fruit in) I needed a magnifying glass: just a tiny piece of rhubarb and half a strawberry, for no less than €9.50! Mini tournedos are also very expensive and you have to pay for the fries separately. I was a little disappointed.

Relax on the terrace with coffee and a delicious pastry

On 27-07 I sat on the terrace with my girlfriend, it was very quiet and there were a maximum of 4 tables. The two men at the counter walked around us for 10 minutes and made eye contact with us several times, but no one even bothered to take our order. What a bad business with bad service👍🏻. I would avoid this store and sit somewhere else!

Ambience fine, staff fine, food very mediocre (tuna doesn't taste like tuna), everything tastes very bland. Furthermore, the air quality was very oppressive, feeling of little oxygen.

Delicious Van Dobben croquettes on delicious brown bread. Smooth and friendly service. Clean and spacious toilet. In short, nothing wrong with that!

Had a high wine at Audreys today. Very surprised by the 5 different wines, each with a matching dish. Dishes varied and the kitchen staff came to serve the dishes at the table and explained what we had in front of us. Good service, asked several times if everything was still satisfactory. Friendly staff and a nice experience. Definitely recommended!

After a visit to Gallery Aaldering we had a delicious meal here. I followed the waitress's recommendation and certainly don't regret it.

Had a cappuccino here and ate a sandwich during our bike ride. For this perfectly normal sandwich with nothing special and some pickles from a jar, 9 euros is charged, which I think is very expensive.

Soup of the day was Asparagus soup, no asparagus to be seen, that's possible...... special taste, could also have been mushroom soup, so it wasn't eaten. Brie sandwich served without the aforementioned red cabbage. When an extremely friendly lady from the service comes to ask if everything is okay, we pass on the negative points and she promises to taste the soup herself. No response was received, the full amount was paid by a now less friendly lady...........too bad, the sandwich was delicious. This could have been handled differently.

Soup of the day was very little and terribly watery. A lot of money for what you get. They already had this complaint twice earlier in the day, but then nothing was done about it. Too bad because the place is very nice.

Nice place with a well-maintained interior. I have eaten and/or had drinks here a few times now. The quality and range are top notch and the staff is pleasant :) I think the menu could change more often, but maybe I have been there too many times in a short time ;)

Center Brummen, beautiful place. Easy parking. Pleasant people, nice atmosphere, nice menu. I need to explore the Audrey Hepburn connection again.

Mooie entourage perfecte locatie maar wat een prijzen !! 29,- euro voor 150 gram Ribeye kaal bord met wat groente alle side Plates 3,- euro extra. Geschrokken van de menu kaart met heerlijke gerechten erop maar prijzen waar je een beetje gek van word. Service is perfect en de sfeer gemoedelijk.

Super sfeervol ingericht en erg vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. De kaart is niet heel erg uitgebreid en als moeilijke eters hebben we het bij wat te drinken gehouden. Maar als je van traditionele gerechten houd is het aan te raden.

Wat een gezellig restaurant met een fijne sfeer. de bediening is helemaal top en niets is te veel gevraagd. We zijn heerlijk verwend met lekker eten. Zeker tot een volgende keer.

Grand Café Audrey's heeft een gezellige en warme sfeer. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn authentiek, hulpvaardig en betrokken. Het eten is heerlijk en net even anders dan standaard, en een lust voor het oog! Wij hadden een geweldige avond en komen graag terug!

We hebben een fantastische avond gehad, met een groep van 14 personen. Vriendelijk personeel, de bediening was top en het eten was heerlijk. Geen standaard kaart, maar toch toegankelijke gerechten voor ieder wat wils, wij komen zeker weer eens terug!

Absolute aanrader! Gezellige sfeer, goede prijs-kwaliteit en vriendelijke bediening. Ik kom zeker nog eens terug!

Heerlijk gegeten, top bediening. Brummen mag blij zijn met zo’n gezellige plek, om heerlijk te eten.

Bediening was niet geïnteresseerd. Eten was duur en beneden de maat.

We hadden het verrassingsmenu gekozen (3 gangen). Het voorgerecht met zalm was lekker en origineel. Het hoofdgerecht was vooral een grote biefstuk. Prima gebakken en op smaak, maar verder alleen met (ketjap aangemaakte) noodles, een wortel en wat stronkjes kimchi. Tja. Het nagerecht was lekker met meringue, wittechocolademousse, wat fruit en gelei. Op zich niets mis mee. Maar alles bij elkaar toch wat teleurgesteld. Bij een verrassing verwacht je verrast te worden met creativiteit en dat culinaire moeite is gedaan voor het gerecht. Misschien is een gerecht van de kaart bestellen verstandiger en lekkerder.

Eten was prima. Service was goed. Onze hond kreeg netjes water terwijl wij binnen zaten en de bediening was vriendelijk en vlot. Sfeer is goed en de aankleding is een combi van jaren 30 en nu.

Wij kwamen een aantal maanden geleden toevallig langs Audrey's en sindsdien eten we er regelmatig. Het eten is bijzonder goed, de bediening vriendelijk en professioneel en hele uitstraling van het restaurant spreekt ons enorm aan. Een echte aanrader.

Helaas misten we het Brummens blond en de heerlijke vegetarische bitterballen op de kaart. Voorheen bij Kromhout altijd te bestellen. Voor ons zo'n teleurstelling. Echt jammer :-(

Mooie zaak maar vandaag waren we op het terras en na 10 minuten weer weggegaan omdat niemand van de bediening kwam.

Great atmosphere, live jazz music. Only thing lacking is that I arrived at 3.06pm, and lunch was served until 3pm, so I could only order snacks. But these were of great quality nonetheless.
