Last week I celebrated my birthday at Grand Café Cascada. We were a group of about 20 people, and it was a fantastic experience! Emel was incredibly helpful beforehand, and on the day itself, everything was taken care of as planned. My guests and I had a delicious meal and a great time. Highly recommended!

We ate here with a group of 17. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is very comfortable with beautiful lighting and decors inside. The manager is very friendly and social. I had the chocolate cheese cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of passion fruit sauce. It was delightful. I can describe the taste as smooth cheese cake with a swirl of dark chocolate that is balanced by the passion fruit drizzle and red currant berries. I some what wish there was more of the passionate fruit sauce but it's definetly a recommended place to stop by and try new things out!

Last Saturday, thanks to the warm welcome and some magic by "The Wizard" 🪄, six of us managed to find a lovely spot. We had a truly delicious meal, and the staff created a wonderful atmosphere. This is an absolute must-visit if you love delicious Surinamese food.

The food is really good, and for the price you pay, you get really generous portions. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is good, and they played some great old-school music. However, I'm really not impressed with the service and its speed. If you walk in and then have to wait longer than fifteen minutes before being helped, that's really not good or customer-friendly. It's actually reason enough to leave. Therefore, I hope Restaurant Cascada will incorporate this feedback.

Delicious food...nice atmosphere...beautiful interior

The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was great. Parking is available right outside the door. You'll need to go to a garage for that.

I drove all the way from Utrecht to enjoy their delicious food, but they were already closed at 10 PM instead of 11 PM. The reason was because it had been dead quiet since 8 PM. What business is this of mine? This isn't business. You can send staff home, but not everyone. As an established business owner, you're supposed to stay open until the very last minute. Disgraceful!

Food, ambiance and atmosphere are top!

This wasn't the first time I went to eat at Cascada. But it was the last time, because what happened last Mother's Day was really not okay. We had a reservation at 6:00 PM. When we arrived there, there were only 3 things you could choose from as a main. Namely Bami, Nasi and Chowmin. When I saw that, I thought oh, we'll get our food soon, since these are all dishes that you can prepare very well in advance. Well, nothing could be further from the truth, we had to wait more than 1.5 hours for our food. My mother almost had a hypo, my 2-year-old daughter started crying from hunger. What should have been a nice Mother's Day dinner, was a disaster. Now, anything can go wrong in the kitchen, but the service never came by to ask if we wanted something to drink, management never came by to apologize or simply explain what was going on. Usually when I eat somewhere and something goes wrong, you get a complimentary drink or discount, but that was not the case either. That is also the reason for me not to go back.

The food is quite good, though they only serve about 5 dishes.

What a delicious and fun place to eat. Delicious Surinamese dishes, there are classics such as noodles and nasi, but also different types of (tropical) fish and daily specials such as salmon moksi alesi. The telo special is recommended! The ambiance is cozy and cozy and the staff is very attentive and friendly. There was a very nice surprise for our table companion who was celebrating his birthday and retiring. Parking is closest in P6. I will definitely come back here again!

Once and never again! Very bad food! We had to wait an hour for our food at first. People who came in much later than us even received their orders earlier. We didn't have any big meals (bites/snacks), so it shouldn't take that long. Just ask an employee how long it will take because I see people who came in later are already eating (large portions, larger group) It is indicated... yes, we are understaffed for another 4 minutes. And that is something that can happen, we don't mind. But in the meantime, no one will come to you to indicate why it is taking so long, etc. or whether everything is to your satisfaction. You have to ask yourself what the situation is, and then I think it's a problem. After an hour, a number of items from our order arrived, including a herheri (€21.50), which was TERRIBLE! Banana was hard and super dry (gray in color), the cassava… don't even know if I can call it that… looked like a sponge. You couldn't even cut it in half, completely tough, inedible. The potatoes were also heavily undercooked, which was clearly visible on the inside, they still had that whitish color. Afterwards I mentioned it to an employee that the reheri was simply not done properly. We are Surinamese so we know what a herheri should look like. Employee indicates I will pass it on to the kitchen. A little later he comes back with the bill, but says nothing at all about what I just indicated. So I ask, have they said anything about it? And then you get told plainly. Yes the herheri was NOT well prepared (while it was a special) he says the bananas were already made yesterday. Then I really thought, what kind of nonsense is this TERRIBLE! I indicate “so this is what you put for people to eat”. And then you are told... apologies from the kitchen. Your excuses can be ruined in no time! Leave dry banana, under-boiled potato and sponge cassava. This kind of poorly made food makes people sick. So people pay attention!

If I want to make a reservation for a group larger than 7 people, I am redirected to the contact page... no response is given by email or telephone, no response to emails and phone calls have not been answered for days. Partly because of this, I have already crossed this restaurant off my list

Delicious Surinamese food! The saoto was good, nothing to complain about, I really wanted another one! The dinners that followed were also really great. Beautifully laid out, truly a feast for the eyes. The flavors were intense and surprising, especially from the various meats. The noodles, nasi and chowmin were excellent. Service was great, very nice staff too. Everyone was given enough containers to take home all the food that was too much for us. The bojo at the end was okay, but a bit too firm for me. I prefer it soft and creamy, but I did eat it. ;-) I also received help to feed my baby with a bottle, they were all really attentive and helpful, I can't do anything else! The toilet was also clean, and I found the atmosphere pleasant. My niece who turned 20 felt at ease, music was put on for her and a female visitor (unknown) came to dance with her! The atmosphere was also inviting and everyone felt free. Even my younger nieces danced freely and somewhat uncontrollably as the waiters walked around. The waiters were all top notch at their jobs, no one complained or looked stressed. The only 'downside' I can think of is that there is not really parking in front of the door. It is a bit of a walk from the parking garage at Pathé (which does not have an elevator). This is what you need to know if you have a baby stroller with you... So I was stressed about getting there, but once inside I was warmly welcomed and I enjoyed it immensely!

Fair prices, friendly people. Some still need a bit of training but super friendly. Easy to work there with your laptop. Really a top location if you want to relax close to the railway.

Very bad service when we entered it started, we didn't get any menu cards. A little later I asked the man who walked past if we could have a menu card and he just kept walking while looking at me. I walked to the bar and he immediately said you're welcome. I can get a menu card there and I asked if I should get it myself, I said, I'm just busy, it's scandalous after waiting 1.5 minutes for our food, we left without eating, paid for the drinks and left, the manager Asian man had no friendliness at all. the employees were super sweet and said sorry but they are nothing more like his slaves, the way he spoke to his employees is a ridiculously horrible tent while it is beautifully decorated

Very well received, sweet and helpful staff. There was a lot of food, but it was no problem to take it with you. 1 tip for the truffle fries is to serve the truffle mayo separately and not mix it with it. Now the fries were very soggy. The marcusa juice was AMAZING. Even my daughter who only drinks apple juice or water loved it.

I'm 20 minutes in to hear that meals and snacks are sold out. My order itself didn't come until around 30 minutes and by that I mean the drinks.

We came for dinner with 8 people to celebrate my mother's birthday. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to leave early due to poor service and very customer unfriendly behavior. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food, my food was already cold when it was served. The music was too loud and was not turned down even though we asked 5 times to different staff. I have permanent tinnitus (ringing in the ears), so I have to be careful with loud noise so that it doesn't get worse. With a db sound meter app I was able to check how loud the sound was. The volume was too loud and is therefore very harmful to the ears. You wouldn't expect such a loud noise in a restaurant. We couldn't hear each other through it, so we couldn't talk to each other during dinner. I had to eat my dinner with earplugs in. That was very unpleasant. Very sorry that this happened. We will never come back here again. One way to lose a large group of customers, 8 people have a large network…

This was bad in many ways. Beer was not close to full to the mark on the glass. Drinks were slammed down on the table like “whatever”. And then the vegetarian nasi. It was a big pile of dry rice with a table spoon of veggies out of a glass jar while was inquiring if there were to be be plenty of veggies. The tempeh was dry, like crisps, and they were charged extra. I am not a food snob but this was horrible. Ten times better food at easi or doner company just around the corner.

lazy staff who are concerned with everything except customers. After sitting for 15 minutes we still hadn't received a card. After we said something about it, someone arrived with a map. 15 minutes later he did not return to take our order. In the end we went to the owner who quickly took care of our order. 2/3 of the tables were empty, how does a place like that run when it's full of such lazy staff who don't have time to take orders? The owner was very friendly but I would quickly kick out the redundant staff before they kill your business. they just sit at the bar doing nothing and staring at the ceiling. plus point, the food was very tasty and the portions are large so if you are hungry you are in the right place.

Had a delicious lunch and a chat at this Surinamese grand cafe close to Bijlmer Arena station.

Unfortunately, many things were gone. We then ordered another dish, but unfortunately it never came to the table. The positive thing is that we didn't even notice it because the portions are good. The things we ordered that were finished or not served were on the receipt. Neatly resolved and removed. Nicely decorated restaurant!

Nice restaurant, good size and tasty portions of food. Service ok. One table of restaurant visitors was told what was not on the menu but what could be ordered that evening if it involved fish dishes. Yet another group of visitors were told about different drinks that were not on the menu but could be ordered. My group was not told either of these 2 options...quite a shame!

I almost didn't go here because of the low Google reviews. There was also no information available on their website or Instagram about the memu. I finally made a reservation here thanks to an Insta Reel in which I could see the ambience and the food, and largely because of a cousin who had recently been there and was very positive about the food. So I dared to take the risk. I'm glad I went there. It is a cozy place to enjoy delicious Surinamese food. possibly a cocktail. The main course menu is not very large, but that is made up for by the delicious taste of what is on it and the changing daily menu that has more exciting options. The portions of the main courses are large, so you won't go home hungry. Everyone at the table was satisfied with the food (we were 9 people). Small points of attention: the chicken could be a little more tender - fried a little less dry. Plus the cod could use a little less salt. Apart from this, it is definitely worth repeating. If I lived around the corner, I would have stopped by again the next day! *Be careful when wearing heels: parking is a problem. You have to walk a bit from the parking spot. By the way, it is paid parking. It is around the corner from Bijlmer Poort station, so easier to get there by public transport.

The tjauwmin moksi is highly recommended. Also had a drink here. I'll definitely return.

Delicious lunch at this beautiful restaurant with my Sisters. The people are very friendly and makes you feel welcome by taking the time to have conversations. The snesi tayer soup was made traditional. That' s how I like it. It was soft, flavord with great texture. Not to thick and not to thin. My other Sisters had cassave and soato soup. They Also experienced the perfect tast sensations. What also was Optional is the Cappucino with oatmeal. That tasted soft creamy and flavord. With beautiful music on the background. Love the attention that is also given in the details of the interior and tableware . ThAnk you See you next times

So much to work on. It’s either the food was overly salty or lacked seasoning. Let’s start with the salty bits. The appetizers (cheeseballs), the fries and the fried cassava were too salty. U could literally scrape the salt off it. The yellow rice and steak were under seasoned. Do not let the beautiful presentation deceive you. It had no taste what so ever!!! Had they paired it with like a chimichuri or any other worthy steak sauce, I’d have gladly finished it. The only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is cause of the grilled platter and creativity. That platter was really good! The chicken was moist, the shrimp was tender and the vegetables were delicious. Whoever prepared that meal took their time with it. Thank you for not completely ruining our experience here.

Titel: Geweldige culinaire ervaring! Ik had het genoegen om onlangs te dineren in [cascada] en ik kan eerlijk zeggen dat het een onvergetelijke ervaring was. Vanaf het moment dat ik binnenkwam, werd ik begroet door een warme en uitnodigende sfeer. Het interieur was prachtig ingericht en creëerde meteen een gevoel van elegantie. Het menu bood een indrukwekkende variëteit aan gerechten, van klassieke favorieten tot gedurfde nieuwe smaakcombinaties. Mijn tafelgenoten en ik kozen voor het proeverijmenu, en het stelde absoluut niet teleur. Elk gerecht was prachtig gepresenteerd en de smaken waren verfijnd en uitgebalanceerd. De chef-kok heeft duidelijk veel aandacht besteed aan de details. Wat de service betreft, was het personeel attent en vriendelijk zonder opdringerig te zijn. Ze waren goed geïnformeerd over de gerechten en konden aanbevelingen doen op basis van onze voorkeuren. De timing tussen de gangen was perfect en gaf ons de tijd om te genieten van elk gerecht zonder gehaast te voelen. Ik wil ook graag de wijnkaart benadrukken, die een uitgebreide selectie bood die perfect aansloot bij de maaltijd. De sommelier was deskundig en behulpzaam bij het kiezen van de juiste wijn bij elke gang. Kortom, [cadcada] biedt een fantastische culinaire ervaring die zowel de smaakpapillen als de zintuigen verwent. Als je op zoek bent naar een onvergetelijke avond vol heerlijk eten en uitstekende service, dan is dit absoluut een restaurant dat je moet proberen. Ik kijk er al naar uit om terug te keren en meer te ontdekken van wat dit geweldige restaurant te bieden heeft!

Titel: Een Culinaire Hemel! Ik had het genoegen om onlangs te dineren in dit fantastische restaurant en ik kan met volle overtuiging zeggen dat het een buitengewone ervaring was. Vanaf het moment dat ik binnenkwam, werd ik begroet met een warme en gastvrije sfeer. Het interieur was elegant en sfeervol, waardoor de perfecte setting werd gecreëerd voor een heerlijke avond. Het menu was een ware culinaire reis, met een uitgebreide selectie van gerechten die zowel de smaakpapillen als de zintuigen prikkelden. Elk gerecht was een kunstwerk op zich, prachtig gepresenteerd en bereid met verse, hoogwaardige ingrediënten. De smaken waren verrassend en harmonieus, en elke hap bracht een explosie van genot.

Afgelopen donderdag wezen lunchen met collega. Lekker gegeten. Mooie en nette aankleding. Jammer dat het voor de rest helemaal leeg was. Ligt wellicht aan de locatie. Misschien een beetje prijzig, maar gelijkwaardig aan overige lunch gelegenheden in de buurt. Lunch kaart had wat uitgebreider gemogen. Ze hebben verschillende menu's per dagdeel.

De bediening was erg traag, we moesten bijna een uur op ons hoofdgerecht wachten terwijl mensen die later besteld hadden hun hoofdgerecht al op hadden. Helaas waren er meerdere hoofd- en voorgerechten al uitverkocht en konden de cocktails die we wilden bestellen niet meer gemaakt worden omdat dat ook op was. Het voorgerecht (broodje en burrata) was erg lekker maar op verhouding duur voor de hoeveelheid. Als hoofdgerecht hadden we tenderlion (was doorgebakken terwijl we medium besteld hadden, verder wel lekker), ravioli (was al afgekoeld maar verder wel lekker) en een vegetarische burger. De patat die we er los bij moesten bestellen was wel lekker maar de mayonaise smaakte absoluut niet naar mayonaise. Tijdens het eten, het afruimen en bij het afrekenen werd niet eens gevraagd of het gesmaakt had. De service was traag en het eten was niet erg bijzonder, ook waren de porties erg klein.

Helaas kan ik nog geen sterren geven omdat we via een regiodeal hier zouden gaan eten op zondag 16 juli. Echter door een evenement in de Arena waren niet alle gerechten beschikbaar en hetgeen wel beschikbaar was beviel ons niet. De manager (mvr Wolff) heeft ons hierin gelukkig goed geholpen en we kunnen op een andere datum terugkomen. Wellicht voor de toekomst zouden het restaurant en regiodeal beter kunnen communiceren en dit kenbaar maken op de site dat dit op evenementen het geval is. Dit had ons voor deze avond een teleurstelling en onkosten (reis en parkeerkosten) kunnen voorkomen. Nu is het wachten op de mail van de manager om deze deal in te halen. Vriendelijke groet.

Leuke tent, zit een beetje afgelegen. Maar daar keken we maar even doorheen, lekker mocktails besteld wat best lang duurde om te komen, vervolgens gegeten. Het was helaas echt niet lekker, wat erg jammer is want het zag er goed uit. De eggplant steak had gewoon beschuitkruimels als garnituur/decoratie. En toen we vroegen of dit zo was, werd er gezegd “nee dat is rijstenwafel”(wat ik ook een gekke topping vind maar goed) maar dat geloof ik niet eigenlijk want later hoorde ik de bediening het er over hebben. Jammer. De ravioli was OK, maar daar hou ik het dan ook bij. De meiden van de service waren erg lief, dus +1 voor dat.

Het voorgerecht was perfect, daarna ging alles fout. Verbrand bananenbrood, slechte bediening, harde en aparte muziek voor een restaurant en de smaak van zeep bij sommige gerechten. Al met al geen aanrader.

The staff was friendly though didn't speak much English. They also tried to clean our plates asap then asked if we wanted anything else a few times, which felt like they were pressuring us to leave even though the place was super quiet. Food wasn't that good.

Eten is ok niet heel speciaal, wel kleine porties dus minimaal 2 gangen is aan te raden.

Op weg naar het concert van Michael Bublé..hier heerlijk gegeten. Super leuke en vriendelijke bediening. Eten was lekker!!

Leuk het tropische concept en een fijne sfeer. Eten was goed, weliswaar te weinig voor de carnivoor. Tenderloin, geen idee maar geen ossehaas en best prijzig, vergeet geen sides te bestellen, tis hier wel echt aan te raden voor een matige eter. De side salade had een super aangename dressing maar die pitten (granaatappel) zijn onhandig tijdens het eten. Schone en frisse wc's met warm water. Personeel rent zich een slag in de ronde. Vrolijke kok die hielp bij het serveren van de hoofdmaaltijd. Helaas was het bier dood en hebben we best lang moeten wachten. 18:00 gereserveerd en 2045 afgerekend .

Leuke tent maar wat een slechte service. Om iets te bestellen moesten we hopen dat er iemand in de buurt was en er zelf om vragen. Drankje besteld, half uur op wachten. Eten besteld, er werd alleen vlees gebracht (na 1 uur) en geen bestelde bijgerechten, ook hier moesten we om vragen, kregen we uiteindelijk toen het vlees op was. Porties waren erg klein.

5 stars for food! Delish and so well presented. Music outstanding, we enjoyed it so much. Service is sth to improve. Nice but more attention to customers is needed.

Goed gegeten en super aardige en vlotte bediening. Zit een beetje verstopt qua locatie maar ideaal als je een leuk restaurant zoekt in de buurt van de Arena/Ziggo Dome.

Allereerst een super mooi restaurant, echt een aanrader om te gaan eten! Het eten is erg goed en divers ook. Ik vond het personeel heel vriendelijk en ze wilden graag dat wij het naar onze zin hadden. Wij willen snel weer komen eten.

De carpaccio smaakt naar zeep en is zo dun gesneden, muziek wordt steeds veranderd midden in het nummer en staat ook nog eens vet hard komen elkaar nauwelijks verstaan.
