Grand Café Le Verre in Schijndel

A nice place. The food was delicious. And friendly staff.

We had a great meal at this nice restaurant in the center of Schijndel. You can order à la carte or choose a five-course tasting menu. It was indicated beforehand that the dishes in the tasting menu are slightly larger than tapas but smaller than standard dishes. The choice within the tasting menu is huge: meat, fish, or vegetarian. Really many different options. Furthermore, the dishes we ordered were very tasty. The service is relaxed and there is sufficient attention paid to the guests. They also always ask when the next course could be served. The restaurant looks neat inside, but I missed some atmosphere. Perhaps because I was seated with my back to the "aisle." As a result, there was some movement of the staff. Outside, there is also a beautiful covered terrace.

Good atmosphere and good staff. The kitchen did close at 10:30, though. I also got a nice coloring page.

We had a delicious meal prior to Schijndel aan Zee. The service was friendly and professional, and the temperature in the restaurant was also very pleasant. The only minor point for improvement was that the tables were cleaned with a cloth that left a somewhat unpleasant odor. Otherwise, we had a very nice experience.

The two of us enjoyed the 5-course tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very tasty, a bit more refined, and beautifully presented. The service was also very friendly and enthusiastic! We will definitely be back!

The food and drinks are good, but why give the service a 3? Because I find it annoying that they're closed on Mondays.

We had a wonderful Christmas Day meal at Le Verre, the 5-course tasting menu! Highly recommended, super delicious, and you won't go home hungry!

We had another delicious meal. We're very happy with their concept of 5 small meals for the reasonable price of 45 euros. We'll definitely be back when we have something to celebrate or just because we feel like it.

We came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. A lovely restaurant, warm weather, a large terrace, and lots of customers: all the ingredients for a great day in the hospitality industry, you'd think! Apparently not at Le Verre. The waitresses seemed as if they'd had a marital argument the night before and gone to bed angry. They couldn't crack a smile, and communication and spontaneity were practically nonexistent. They also walked at about the pace you'd expect if they had to apologize to the partner they were angry with yesterday. Of course, it can happen that it's very busy and guests have to wait a bit longer, but let them know. Waiting fifty minutes for your sandwich is quite a long time, but by communicating beforehand, you avoid the frustration of people asking where their food is. The food itself, however, tasted great. In the meantime, we had to keep asking for drinks, empty glasses were passed over four times, and at one point, we were playing bowling with all the empty bottles we'd collected on the table that weren't being taken away. I was also shocked when they asked if my husband still needed his ashtray, only to then leave it dirty on the tables of other guests. Surely they'd at least empty it?! Anyway, maybe I sound like a whiner who had a marital dispute yesterday, but I think this all goes against all the basic principles of hospitality. After all this, we still received a good tip, and even then, we didn't get a thank you. We'll definitely come back for dinner, but I think we'll wait until the marital storm has calmed down for the ladies at Le Verre.

Geweldige kerriesoep en Tomaten soep een cijfer een 10. Echt een aanrader, komen zeker nog terug op deze plek, goede ontvangst.

Very nice place with a good concept and affordable. They have a 5-course tasting where you can choose the courses yourself. With a wide choice of fish and meat. We had gravad lax, prawn, mackerel, beef steak, duck breast, pulled beef, venison steak and a delicious dessert. The wine was good and affordable. Where else can you find that? Delicious food and the atmosphere and location are great.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, just a pity there is no toilet downstairs... but I enjoyed it.

I think the prices are high....you don't get much. For the money...paid dearly Shame .......

The cod was bone dry, proteins came out. The hamburger was raw on the inside. Nice for once but not recommended

Neergestreken, zonder reservering, onder de grote parasols. Leuke en attente bediening. Lekkere lunch gehad die snel geserveerd werd.

Delicious food, definitely recommended.

The pork rib was dry and tasteless. There were raw pieces on it. The sauce was too thin and did not fit well. The steak was poorly cooked, it looked like it was cooked. The cup of vegetables made no sense. The only thing that was good was the fries. And all that for 25 euros! We will never come here again!

Arrived on Saturday July 6, 2024 around 1:40 PM. The terrace was not full, so luckily we still had a seat under the large parasols. A very friendly boy asked if it was for food and immediately brought a few extra menus and asked for something to drink. SiSi Sinas, Cola Zero, Latte Macchiato, Ice Tea immediately arrived at the table. We ordered: - Burgundian croquettes with bread Unfortunately, these didn't have much flavor and there was a curly hair on the lettuce and tomato. - Toasti with mushrooms The mushrooms were poor in taste, no salt or pepper to be found in the dish. - 12 hours of meat Tomato soup was Dutch-style, so quite sweet. The croquettes had no taste. The cheese was young and stiff, the ham was dry, the egg was not seasoned and not fried (still too runny yellow). The salad also had curly hair in it. Fries were way too greasy, fried in the wrong fat so they had no taste. - Chili Chicken The chili was missing, so it was more like spicy chicken without spicy. Zaterdag 6 juli 2024 omstreeks 13:40 uur aangekomen. Het terras was niet vol dus gelukkig nog een plaatsje onder de grote parasols. Een zeer vriendelijke jongen vroeg of het om te eten was en bracht meteen enkele menukaarten extra aan en vroeg wat voor te drinken. SiSi Sinas, Cola Zero, Latte Macchiato, Ice Tea kwamen meteen aan tafel. We bestelden: - Bourgondische kroketten met brood Deze hadden niet zo veel smaak spijtig genoeg en er zat een krulhaar in aan de sla en tomaat. - Tosti met champignons De champignons waren pover van smaak, geen zout of peper in het gerecht te vinden. - 12 uurtje vlees Tomatensoepje was op z’n Hollands, dus vrij zoet. De kroketten hadden geen smaak. De kaas was jong en stond stijf, het ham was droog, het ei was niet gekruid en juist niet gebakken (geel nog te lopend). Slaatje erbij zat ook krulhaar in. Frietjes waren veel te vettig gebakken in het verkeerde vet dus geen smaak aan. - Chili Kip De chili was ver zoek dus eerder pittige kip zonder pittig. Always nice here. Atmosphere, service top. This is the place for lunch, dinner, drinks or just a cup of coffee! Our favorite place in Schijndel.

Had a great evening. Nice concept of small dishes. Smooth operation. Delicious dishes that are also a feast for the eyes.

We hadden wel geluk dat het prachtig weer was en we lekker buiten konden eten. Ik ging voor het 12 uurtje vis. Juist voldoende. De gerechtjes waren o.a. een bisque: lekker warm, fijne vissmaak met stukjes vis en knapperige lente-ui. Daarnaast een boterham met heksenkaas met zalm en een boterham met heerlijke tonijnsalade met ei en salade. Als laatste een lekker klein kroketje. Vriendelijk personeel.

Een prachtige locatie en mooie inrichting. Zeer attente bediening en heerlijk gegeten. Proeverij is een aanrader. Alle gerechten waren een lust voor het oog en smaakten fantastisch. Een top avond. Wij komen zeker terug.

Had dinner, what was disappointing were the fried fries, they were so hard. Curious about the new menu, just simple I hope. Lunch is always perfect, but unfortunately I think dinner is less so. Staff is friendly, nice place, now the dinner menu.

Beautifully located restaurant on the market in Schijndel. The glass farm makes the atmosphere and appearance particularly pleasant. The food is of a good quality. The service is friendly, cheerful and jovial towards customers, you get a homely feeling. The dishes are of good quality and plates are prepared with care. We enjoyed the tasting, definitely recommended. All in all a good choice for a pleasant culinary evening.

We hebben hier geluncht. Je kan er leuk zitten, mooi ingericht en vriendelijke bediening. Lekker gegeten. Uitgebreide allergenenvermelding; de reden voor mijn tafelgenoot om hier naartoe te gaan. Wel jammer dat er geen plantaardige melkkeuze is voor de verschillende koffies.

The most beautiful and coziest restaurant in Schijndel. Located in the glass farm. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fine dining. Ps if you like good beer, try a Bully of Eternal Youth, highly recommended.

Mooie zaak , mooie locatie, het ruikt er alleen erg naar frietuur, dat is wel een afknapper, vooraf buikspek, dat was een 6-, niet knapperig, zal ook wel niet de bedoeling zijn geweest , maar wij vonden het niks, stond zeetong op de kaart , maar die hadden ze niet, raar als je zaterdagavond vroeg kom, en het is zeetong tijd, ook een afknapper , zeebaars was oké , ribeye weer een eind minder, geen saus naar keuze, en ze hadden alleen pepersaus dmv bijbetalen, bediening , was aardig, maar erg jong,dat lied te wensen over, geen sla bij hoofdgerecht, bekertje gekookte of gestoomde groenten , was niet te eten, al met al onze ervaring een 6+, maar op deze manier niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Deze keer schoven we aan bij Le Verre in Schijndel. We hadden een prettige tafel, die fijn in de ruimte stond zodat we als groep in een prettige sfeer konden eten. Met 10en zaten we allemaal aan een tafel, super. De bediening is erg vriendelijk, kundig, geduldig en snel. Het ontbrak ons geen enkele keer aan een drankje. Le Verre adviseerde ons de 5 gangen proeverij. Je mag uit de hele kaart 5 gerechten kiezen. Ideaal! De porties zijn voldoende en ik had persoonlijk al genoeg op na ronde 4. Voor een gezellig avondje uit in een ongedwongen sfeer zit je in de Glazen Boerderij goed.

Meer dan tevreden waren we tijdens onze lunch bij Le Verre in Schijndel. Vooraf had mijn vriendin doorgegeven dat ik jarig was en ik werd door de bediening gefeliciteerd. Daarna was er een snelle service, heeeeerlijk eten (de bisque was perfect!) en een goede kop cappuccino na. De gastheer (bedrijfsleider?) was een spontane, hardwerkende, vrolijke man die alles goed onthoud en inspeelde op de verhalen van de gasten. We hebben met plezier zitten genieten. Aanrader!!

Met groep van 6 personen het 5 gangen keuze menu genomen. Veel keus en alle gerechten waren heerlijk. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en attent. De inrichting van het restaurant was gezellig en prijs/kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Wij hadden gekozen voor het 5 gangen menu en hebben serieus genoten van bijzondere en zeer lekkere gerechten. Zeer zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Sfeervolle ambiance, goede bediening en lekker eten

Het was buiten koud en eten ging maar tot 1000 uur vanwege Corona, maar goed was het zeker. Midden in Schijndel staat een glazen boerderij en daarin verstopt achter glas dit restaurant. Niet goedkoop wel goed. Je kunt voor 40 euro een proeverij menu nemen en dat moet je zeker doen. Vervolgens kies je van de gewone menukaart de items die dan ( in kleinere porties) worden geserveerd. Ik vond de carpaccio zo lekker dat ik die 2 maal bestelde ! Dat kon en mocht. Alleen het toetje een soort “mash” was niet te eten. Mierenzoet en smakend naar zoete chemicaliën. De rest was echter zo goed, dat daar de positieve herinneringen maar naar moeten uitgaan.

Heerlijk gegeten, wel wat prijziger dan vergelijkbare alternatieven. Carpaccio was lekker en spare ribs waren super!

Het eten was niet om over naar huis te schrijven, voor die prijs krijg je niet echt veel op je bord en afrekenen was niet mogelijk met een VVV, dinerkaart.

Leuk, mooi terras (wel beetje op elkaar gepropt). Vriendelijke bediening, goede kaart en lekker gegeten. Een vijfde ster als het terras rookvrij zou zijn. Wat een grote ergernis dat slechts enkelen met hun vieze gewalm anderen opzadelen met stank en potentieel kanker oplopen. Doe dat lekker thuis. Die paar klanten kun je wel missen denk ik dan.
