Beautiful location on the boulevard. The service was super friendly and attentive, but the mussels were really not good, much too small and not tender. Such a shame!

Had lunch. It was excellent, reasonably priced, nice location, and friendly service.

The only good things about this place are the very friendly staff and the beautiful view. It's a shame no one spoke Dutch. The food is truly subpar.

Cozy tent with friendly service

Location is super nice with terrace overlooking the beach. Service was very friendly and helpful but not all spoke Dutch. The poke bowl was very tasty and fresh. The 12 o'clock was a nice soup but the bread, cheese and ham seem to be a remnant of the hotel breakfast. Simple thin slice of bread that is already a bit dried out. The prices are reasonable considering the location but our choice for lunch will not be at this location in the future.

Loud Hoempapa music while no one is sitting on the terrace. Simple bouncer that should not bear the name. Everything very mediocre. Beautiful location. Too bad this is not exploited ...

The view is beautiful, that's why only two stars. Not worth saying much about it.

Soup and sushi were tasty. Service man, was drinking beer all the time so was drunk and made strange antics, continuously dropped dishes. I had loud music by Paul de Leeuw on all the time and sang along at the top of my lungs. And to top it all off, at checkout, he had to sort out the first new pictures online 10 minutes before I could finally pay.

Location is perfect, but the food is ... well mediocre, flattened. I would absolutely not recommend the hamburger, duck in hoisin sauce and veal were tasty. The staff tries to make something of it, but for example ordering was difficult, glasses from people in front of us remained on the table for a long time, while it was not even busy, part of the order was missing. Enjoying the view with a drink is fine. But I really wouldn't eat here again.

In short: - service takes a long time - snack board is a wooden board with bread, ham, nuts, bread and bitterballen (without mustard!!!) and that says more than everything. Oh yes, and cubes of dry cheese, which is supposed to be old cheese (even without something for dipping) - dragon roll = scanty pieces of sushi roll containing only a shrimp, a spring onion stem and stray pieces of avocado. Nice view. Yes!

Food is okay, not bad but not good. Had both lunch and evening meal here and both times it was okay, cane quickly and wasn't bad. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Atmosphere was great and the setup of the place is really nice. Would recommend going with friends, family or dates. Food has potential but a little bland, burger was okay but lacked flavour, sushi was good quality and tasty, udon noodle had no flavour and I struggled to eat them. Prices were reasonable on both food and drinks. Overall would recommend as the setup here is really good.

Had a lovely sit here for lunch. The table was already set for dinner (at 11:00) and a spider had built a nest in the wine glass. This was seen and the glass was removed. The dishes were very tasty! The service could have been a little better. When glasses are empty on the table, they don't ask if you want anything else. So just raise your hand! The service is friendly.

The food was ok, but not very tasty in terms of taste. The location is very nice and you can also take your dog with you. The service was really very bad. The waiters were inattentive and only concerned with themselves. We had to wait a long time for the food and no one came by to ask us if we would like something else to drink or to clear the plates. We had reserved a table on Tuesday October 22 which was confirmed to us by the reservation site The Fork. And when we arrive, the restaurant is closed. No information, no excuses. Unprofessional. But we decided to return there on Thursday October 25 because the restaurant was open until 11 p.m. Well, restaurant also closed when we arrived

Very nice restaurant with a great view of the river Beach, great atmosphere and cozy.

Strange unpleasant music. Food was just too salty. Service is excellent and helpful. All in all a classic tourist trap. As a local you don't eat here.

Not recommended! Service was poor and rushed. All orders were mixed up. The chicken karagee was really dirty, not what we expected. In addition, the people next to us had to wait half an hour for their drinks. The toilets were filthy at most and the staff felt fed up and started shouting and running. Not recommended!

Great atmosphere right on the beach

Food: 2- Food is wack, chicken is wack, bread is extra wack. Literally low quality, no oil, white bread slices for the katsu sandwich. Also the katsu is bone dry. Food was poor quality overall. 6.50 euro for 4 pieces of gyoza bought at the local Lidl. Wack. Service: Just plain slow and inattentive. Mediocre at best. Atmosphere: Pretty when you sit near the main fireplace. Good views of the ships passing. Easy 4 stars here.

Beautiful terrace, friendly staff, delicious apple pie, the coffee was also on the saucer, so the cookie, milk and sugar were wet with the coffee, but the waitress did her best.

Beautiful location for a drink or lunch

We came to the Grand Cafe Next at short notice and were thrilled by the beautiful ambience, the nice service and the very good food!

The Fletcher Saté at the Next Grand Café in Vlissingen offers a true feast for the senses. The juicy, marinated chicken thigh fillets are grilled on skewers, giving them a wonderfully smoky flavor and delicate texture. The rich satay sauce that coats the meat is creamy and nutty, perfectly complemented by the crispy fried onions sprinkled on top. The crispy shrimp crackers and golden brown fries complement the dish perfectly, while the fresh side salad and crunchy pickles provide a refreshing balance. The dollop of mayonnaise, served in a small bowl, adds an extra creaminess that completes the taste experience. This dish is a perfect combination of savory and fresh elements that make every bite a delight. The Fletcher Saté is definitely a reason to return to Next Grand Café again and again. Ate a cheese sandwich, ordered young cheese, they first came with old.... Lukewarm lettuce and a very spicy tomato salsa. Service is reasonable, but English is spoken straight away.

Nice place to sit in the evening with a fire at the table which makes it very pleasant. Friendly and helpful and we had a really delicious poke bowl!

After a very long wait we were able to place an order; this was coffee with an apple pie, which turned out to be a combination deal. After another long wait we got our coffee, without the cake. The cake arrived when the coffee was lukewarm and almost finished, the cake had been warmed up, but was now lukewarm again. The change took so long to arrive that we just left. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming.

Nice restaurant, but bad service. Do not want to think along and takes a very long time. Unfriendly help! Wife is pregnant, so asked if they wanted to bake the salmon, but they “only have raw salmon” and it cannot be baked. It's not busy at all and it's no extra effort.

Nice terrace, you have a nice view. But I wouldn't go here for the food. Everything tasted sour. The beef did not come off the grill, was well done and therefore tough. The noodles were sour and were supposed to be served with vegetables, these were not included and I could go on and on. The girl at the counter couldn't do much about it and as compensation took the noodles off the bill and offered 2 drinks. So in conclusion, you're in the right place for a drink. For dinner, my advice is to walk on to the next restaurant where there is a chef who can cook.

We encountered a very arrogant waitress. It was beyond imagination! I couldn't believe this possible. This isn't worth a visit.

I have been at this place many times but it has gone down hill. Horrible service, dirty at every corner you look around. Not worth it and menu is not fresh items, most is frozen and even prepared poorly. Waste of time and money

Well, it looks nice. Until you sit down, you will be spoken to in English. Not even a smile can come from it. Not a nut on the table. No ashtray to be found. No music to be heard. Decoration and hygiene is seriously deteriorating. So you no longer have to be here for a terrace on the boulevard. Terrible ball joint!

Just had a drink here, but the ambience is excellent and the drinks are ice cold... perfect for me as a bike trip destination for a short rest!

Aperol Spritz and Limoncello Spritz were good on the outside patio. Unfortunately the location is unclean, there is dirt on the floor everywhere, but I wouldn't eat here.

Service was slow, the glasses of coke are very small for the price, and the quality of the food was also disappointing.

Niemand te bekennen in het restaurant maar tafels vies. 2 x moeten vragen of ze hem af kunnen poetsen. Toen kregen uiteindelijk het drinken na lang wachten. We wilde hapje eten maar werd niet eens gevraagd. Volgens mij ook beter zo aangezien alles vies was.

Dinner started off badly after ordering a Tom Ka Kai (Thai Chicken Soup). After some stirring I found 2 small slices of Shiitake and a mini piece of chicken. The waiter and the cook did not speak Dutch. Finally the cook pointed to two pieces in a pan and claimed they were chicken pieces. Unfortunately, those were pieces of shiitake. I stuck to my guns and eventually the cook said I would get a new soup. The second version was much better. Unfortunately not as I am used to at Sauna de Heuvelrug... If I hadn't said anything, I would have paid almost 10 euros for a bowl of coconut juice. And of course I left with a bad feeling.

Cold coffee, very poor service, a good morning couldn't be said, there was no way to ask if we wanted something to eat, so we quickly left after 15 minutes. The host clearly didn't feel like it. At checkout the only sentences were, Pay? Pin? Receipt?

The Irish coffee was bad because of the ditch water that is added to it. I also like being able to place my order in Dutch.

Fantastic scenery, no matter what time of year.

We waited inside for 25 minutes when the waiter came. We placed our order and then we were told that the chocolate milk could not be heated (via the waiter behind the bar). We left because that was too crazy for words!!!

Yesterday I ordered mulled wine, not for drinking, the waitress made it herself from red wine, I put it on the bar and left.

What a nice surprise as an alternative to the neighbors (which are closed). Delicious sushi.

Had dinner at NEXT on Thursday evening during the autumn holidays. Went in with some doubts because there were only a few others there, but in the end the meal was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were especially delicious! Good sushi and poke bowls. The children's menu as it appears on the website does not exist. There was an option to order some fries with a snack. The choice of desserts is somewhat limited, but you got a large amount of food that there was actually no room for anymore.

Welcoming was poor and they did not found our reservation in the system. I had the confirmation received. We ordered first our drinks takes a long time so we left as quick as we can. So no drinks and diner... Maybe the need some training. It is a beautiful place but poor service.

Nice place to have a drink, prices are a bit on the high side, but you have the view for that, but I think the food is a bit limited, the menu could be a bit richer.

Extremely friendly atmosphere and very friendly service.

Delicious food in a beautiful spot on the boulevard with a sea view. The menu is varied, something for everyone. The Beef Chimichurri was wonderfully tender and served with delicious grilled vegetables. The Yakitori was tasty, but there was nothing else with it, which was a shame. A side dish such as truffle fries or Kimchi rice makes it complete. Service is friendly and the price is fine. The iced coffee was also very tasty.

The terrace is great with a beautiful panoramic view over the Western Scheldt. The menu is very extensive and affordable compared to many other Zeeland restaurants. The staff is friendly.

Nice view, unfortunately dirty tables (been several times) and only on-call workers seem to work here who do not feel like their (temporary) job.

Beautiful terrace on the boulevard. With a small group around a table with a table fireplace. For people with physical disabilities it is somewhat more difficult to reach (stairs), the toilet is also somewhat difficult to reach due to... to kick. So you still have to be able to walk. But they have a good map. The food is good but not really special. The service is very friendly.

Food itself was good. Management and service were really bad. Many beers on the menu were out of stock. Brought a bock beer while it was 24 degrees outside. Which was also not what we ordered. Beer in the wrong glasses. The fish & chips for the children were sold out. They only had the spaghetti. They were also almost turned away because it was so busy and they could use the table again. Definitely won't come here again. It is much easier to find on the boulevard.
