We enjoyed our stay there because the food was delicious and the service was nice and friendly, but also the location in the center of Egmond and the best view…

Oh well! The skewer wasn't cooked through despite what was specified in the order. Mussels came with bread instead of fries (also ordered twice). It was OK, but nothing more.

Based on the good reviews, I made a reservation for three people on a Tuesday evening. Two of us opted for the farmer's chicken. The food looked good. However, the chicken was completely bloody when we cut into it!!! When I immediately complained, the owner replied that the chicken had supposedly been undercooked for hours! I countered that the chicken should have been cooked thoroughly. The food was sent back to the kitchen for €10 to be recooked! After 10 minutes, the food came back, and of course, the chicken was still not cooked thoroughly! The fries that had been delivered separately at the beginning were, of course, cold by then and had not been recooked! A waitress then asked if the food was okay! I again complained about the still bloody chicken, and the waitress said that the chicken in her restaurant is always bloody! We were not charged for the drinks when we paid! However, we had to pay for the two bloody chickens, which cost over €60. We cannot recommend this restaurant at all!

We ate here on a busy summer evening and had lunch a few days later. Friendly and efficient service. Extensive menu. The food is truly excellent, and you get more than enough. Absolutely recommended. Tip: the piri-piri prawns... DELICIOUS!

Delicious food with attentive service. Prices are reasonable, although beer over €6/0.5 liter is always excessive for me... Kitchen overwhelmed... after a small appetizer, the main course wasn't served for an hour (after repeated requests). Neighboring tables were given priority, and there was no apology in the form of a drink or a small ice cream (for our son), just a "sorry" (which isn't enough for the standards the place exudes).

From the cozy terrace you can enjoy a drink and watch the busy life unfold before you; it's a good place to be.

Went to Egmond aan Zee midweek. Stopped here for a quick bite and a snack. The service was great and the onion soup was delicious. The crispy chicken nuggets are also delicious!

The service on the terrace was mediocre; the piri pri prawns weren't tasty. We reported them to the staff, but nothing was done about it, so... We won't be back... what a shame!

At Het Wapen, the food is always good, the service is fantastic, always attentive and helpful. Lovely patio and a great atmosphere inside! My favorite!

Great restaurant. It was very crowded, and we couldn't get a seat outside the first time we went. We had better luck when we came back. But the wait was worth it. Very attentive and friendly staff. Delicious smoothies, and the food was also delicious.

As always, when we visit Wapen, it was very good again this year. Whether you're sitting outside or inside the restaurant, the staff are always friendly, and the chef is always up for a laugh. The food was once again very good. The Black Angus burgers, spare ribs, and dessert were all delicious. We've known Wapen since 2000, even before the renovations. We always look forward to coming to Egmoond, whether it's for a quick snack or a big dinner. It's not exactly cheap, but we think it's worth every cent. We're already looking forward to 2025 and are already considering whether to try out the apartments Wapen offers under its Four Seasons package. Update 2025: Nothing has changed. As always, we were thrilled.

Never had such good food and the staff was very nice

Today, like every year, we went out for a delicious meal! But unfortunately we were really disappointed. The two of us chose the dish of the day!!! Surf and Turf, 27.50 euros per person! The meat was served with a small bowl of French fries (a portion definitely only for one person) and apple compote, also only a small bowl! For two people!!! So if you eat normally you won't get full from it!!! When I asked, I was told that was the way it was. A second portion of fries was then charged at 4 euros!! What a shame! No matter what food came out of the kitchen afterwards and we had a large group sitting next to us, everyone had their own portion of fries. I feel like I've been ripped off and will not eat there for 32 euros again!!! I go to Egmond very often and this has never happened to me before.

I've been going to Het Wapen every year for years, but I've never experienced such terrible service. The waitresses weren't really interested in serving us and were always reluctant, even after repeated requests. Het Wapen has lost me as a regular customer.

Day at Egmond by the sea. After a nice walk we found a table and had a nice lunch. I noticed that the prices are not touristy, which is very nice. Staff also friendly. My carpaccio sandwich was well filled. Very happy with it

Ein tolles Essen! Nettes Personal. Die Ente war super!! Die Speisekarte bietet Abwechslung. Vom Vorgericht bis zum Dessert war alles tadellos. Wir haben mehrmals dort gegessen, weil es so lecker war.

We came here spontaneously for dinner and had a table on the terrace with heating. Absolutely perfect. The friendly waitress then brought us the spareribs we ordered with baguette and melon spritzer. Both absolutely recommended.

Man sitzt sehr schön. Eigentlich ist das alles. Essen sehr teuer, aber nicht unbedingt gut. Eigentlich überteuert. Service war auch nicht so toll. Suppe stand ewig auf dem Tisch aber kein Besteck etc 🤣Fleischspieß kam fast roh auf den Tisch. Ärgerlich...also unserer Meinung nicht empfehlenswert.

Sitting here under the heaters. And enjoy the fun. The Latte Macchiato Caramel with whipped cream is highly recommended. Real old-fashioned whipped cream with caramel sauce and pieces.

We went there spontaneously for dinner. I had the spare ribs, my wife had the satay skewer. Unfortunately, the fries weren't really warm, and the portions were quite small. The food tasted good. At just under €25 for the spare ribs, I would have expected a bit more, at least for the side dishes.

Zoals jullie zien gaf ik 4 jaar geleden 5 sterren. Maar vandaag geef ik de service 1 ster. Er was een medewerkster erg onvriendelijk het was een jonge dame blond haar, ietsje flink en ze had waarschijnlijk last van haar been want ze liep een beetje mank. Eerst hoorde ik haar al tegen een klant snauwde. "Daar kan ik toch niets aan doen". Heb niet gehoord wat de klant vroeg (maar toch). Toen wij om de rekening vroegen snauwde ze ook naar ons door te zeggen " ja zometeen ik heb mijn handen vol" als ze dit op een andere toon had gezegd was dit een normaal antwoord geweest. Toen ik zei " nou dat mag je wel wat vriendelijker zeggen " maakte ze een sissend geluid zo van tsssss. Dus deze dame is geen aanwinst voor de zaak

Nice weather yesterday, so we went to Egmond. Sit on the Wapen van Egmond terrace. Ordered pancakes. Was busy, but you can expect your order within 45 minutes. Reported that it takes a long time. 10 minutes later on the table. warning, plate warm. Plate yes, pancake not, so from microwave. Cheese was very greasy and undercooked and apple cinnamon was too cold. We are too tidy so we ate something. Staff friendly. When paying, you will be asked to pass this on. She would do it and see you later. So I say, I don't think so. See you again, I don't think so again. Next time just go to the beach at N.

Binnen gestapt voor de lunch en het restaurant zat behoorlijk vol. Niets vermoedend gingen aan een leeg tafeltje zitten. Blijkbaar was de rafel gereserveerd en dat maakte een soort van leidinggevende ons duidelijk op een nogal directieve wijze, we kregen de indruk dat wij iets heel ergs hadden gedaan. Opstaan en naar een ander tafel was wel de bedoeling !! Terecht want wij zaten aan een verkeerde tafel. Alleen de manier waarop deze ‘chef’ het zei was behoorlijk ongelukkig. Vervangende tafel maar niet gedaan en naar de buren gegaan ‘Vis aan zee’ daar waren wij oprecht welkom. Daar heerlijk geluncht !

Hebben heerlijk gegeten. We hadden verschillende gerechten zoals eend, sukade, entrecote en tonijn. Ook voor onze kleindochter stond een kinderstoel met kleurplaat klaar. Prima bier (Sancti Adalberti Tripel van de tap) en heerlijk wijn. De vriendelijke bediening maakte ons avond tot een super succes. Tot de volgende keer!!

Das Essen ist ein Traum - waren schon mehrfach dort!! Vor allem die SpareRibs sind ein Gedicht! Die Kellnerin wirkte jedoch leider etwas genervt, daher einen Punkt Abzug.

I was in Egmond at the weekend and we had a long breakfast at Cafe Het Wappen van Egmond. It was very nice, everything was perfect, the Herzog Jan beer was super tasty. We'd love to come back.

Wij komen er vaak en het is altijd prima geregeld. Lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel, leuke ongedwongen sfeer. Valt zeker aan te raden.

Whenever we are in Egmond we also go to the coat of arms... Always friendly staff and the food and drinks are very good. We like to sit outside and enjoy the warmth of the heaters in October. We are already looking forward to the next visit.
