Frozen apple pie for over 8 euros. Expensive coffee. Treated very unkindly by the owner, among others.

What a disappointment! Ordered 2 cappuccinos and 1 apple pie with whipped cream from a grumpy owner/manager. Received the apple pie 5 minutes after the coffee: apple pie with whipped cream and ICE CREAM? I had simply ordered apple pie with whipped cream; I didn't mention the word ice cream. I received a new piece of pie, with only whipped cream. The pie was downright disgusting. Lukewarm from the microwave, clearly a thawed factory pie. The bill: 16 euros! The apple pie cost 7.50 euros; nothing was deducted from the price even though I had ordered apple pie without the scoop of ice cream. The owner was rude, curt, and not customer-friendly at all. It should be clear that I will never come here again.

This is gradually becoming our go-to spot whenever we visit Sluis. Tasty and certainly plenty of food, great service, pleasant atmosphere, and clean. I think there are a few reviews here from people who have the wrong address in mind or are giving one or two stars maliciously. And rest assured, if I go back somewhere, it’s delicious. Congratulations guys, keep it up your way. Just straightforward.

I will never go in there again. Very rude service, zero, certainly from the (owner). Your waffle or pancake, which wasn't quite finished and were still cold, and your coffee half-emptied, get everything taken away. They come to take our order as quickly as possible and get back outside as quickly as possible; no chance to order anything else. We were a party of 9, even though. Hopefully, for the owner's sake, his business will last a long time. We also saw other customers looking at him very surprised.

Yesterday's lunch was honestly not worth the money. Croquettes with bread were utterly dismal, two slices of bread and what I presume was a supermarket type of bread. And the Westland fried egg sandwich was also easy, just a quick buy.

Wow, it's been a long time since we've stepped into a restaurant where the staff was so friendly and helpful. My mother is lactose intolerant, and they were immediately helpful. The service is super fast, keeping an eye on everything, even though the place was packed. Our drinks were served within 5 minutes. Our sandwiches were delicious and served quickly. Tables are cleared immediately after people leave. Between meals, they asked if we needed anything else. All this attentiveness is something you don't see very often these days. But at T. Belfort, they think of everything. A great place with top-notch service!

Not a good price/quality ratio. The service wasn't very professional. The scampi tasted more like soup. The pasta carbonara wasn't made according to the traditional recipe. The grilled mix was okay overall, but the fries had a lot of plugs. The dining area wasn't clean due to dust and food scraps behind radiators. The restroom didn't smell very fresh. I wonder how clean the inaccessible areas like the kitchen are. The reserved tables turned out to be reserved for customers who still needed to book...a bit misleading and false information. The request to have a starter as a main course wasn't appreciated either. We eventually agreed, somewhat reluctantly. This was our first time, but definitely our last. There are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Excellent meal, beautifully presented steak, perfectly cooked and elegantly plated. The staff were very friendly. My only minor complaint, given the quality of the dish and the accompanying sides, is that the fries weren't homemade, but it's a small detail as we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A place to remember and discover.

On a drizzly autumn day, I walked into an empty restaurant and was greeted with friendly service. The service was attentive and good. The food was sublime for Sluis, and the portions were enormous. Gradually, the crowds grew, and the positive comments kept growing. I had to decline the coffee I was offered due to the parking fines. I'll be back.

Beautiful location and super friendly and nice service staff. The food is fine, no frills, just tasty. The owner really should invest in the building itself, though.... The ceiling, toilets, and terrace are outdated.

It was reasonably busy when we arrived. We ordered 2 cups of coffee with a small apple pie; there was no other choice! The coffee was delivered fairly quickly, i.e., after 10 minutes... Then we waited fifteen minutes for the 2 pieces of apple pie. By then, we had finished the coffee cold. We asked again: yes, it's on its way. Waited another 10 minutes! So we just walked to the cashier, cancelled the 2 pieces of apple pie, and paid for the coffee. They can't handle the crowds, and the demeanor of the serving staff? Zero, zero. Bad place. Shame.

On sait bien qu'il est difficile de manger correctement aux Pays-Bas, en tout cas à prix raisonnable, mais c'était la pire carbonade que j'aie jamais mangée : quelques débris de bœuf dans une sauce insipide. Cadre triste. Le service est efficace et agréable.

Very friendly and fast service! A very extensive menu. The food was also beautifully presented. The shrimp croquettes (€21) had a completely different taste than I am used to and that pleasantly surprised me. Tasted very Dutch! The salad was also delicious. The mussels (€24.50) were a lot. Not a big deal if you are very hungry. But unfortunately they were a bit dry. For the rest absolutely great! If we are in Sluis again, we will definitely come back.

When we arrived, the host was a bit grumpy, but then relaxed and became very friendly, and we had a chat. We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, two Belfort burgers, and two vol-au-vents. They were all deliciously prepared and the portions were generous. Highly recommended for a delicious lunch! Greetings from Eindhoven!

Nice and central restaurant, a bit more expensive. The shrimp salad and the white wine moule were great.

Coffee with apple pie for eur. 10 is really too much. Especially if the coffee has already been delivered and finished before the apple pie has been heated and served. Apple pie looked like it came out of the freezer. Atmosphere wasn't really great.

Great discovery. The staff is very pleasant and the food delicious. There were 4 of us and we all had a different dish. The mussel casserole was well served and the mussels were quality, the mussel pasta was a good surprise, a treat. The chicken skewer is hearty and also very good, to finish, the devilish scampi pasta is delicious and very spicy, although avoid it if you are sensitive to spicy dishes. We will come back

It was just really bad. Staff hardly spoke Dutch. Iced coffee was literally coffee with ice cream in it🤣🤣. Soda was warm. Could only think of extra ice cubes. Not recommended. Not even a sip of drink and she already came with the bill. Never coming here again.

Man kann zwar schön draußen sitzen und die farbige Bedienung ist echt Spitze, schnell und freundliche. Aber da hört es schon auf mit der Positiven Seite. Man muss sich auf kein schlechte, aber recht durchschnittliche Küche gefasst machen. Zum Beispiel ist es echt Schwer die Fischsuppe als solche am Geschmack zu erkennen.

There was a nice guy working as a waitress. The owner himself was an unfriendly man. Smells really bad of cigarettes. It was not a fresh tent and the toilet was also dirty.

Very beautiful and nice discovery in this "small" restaurant near the main square of Sluis and facing the Belfort Tower. The welcome is correct and the staff friendly. We had a homemade vol au vent and a chicken burger. Both dishes were generously served with decent value for money. We will return with pleasure!

Specifically asked a steak, and if the fries are baked seperatly from other products, as I have celiac disease and need to eat glutenfree. When asking the waiter rolled his eyes, and apparently got glutened badly, (symptoms) with what was supposed to be gluten free sauce(bearnaise), fries and steak...

Very friendly welcome from the waiter who speaks French (it's very practical!), we each had an excellent and hearty croque-monsieur accompanied by a small, varied and well-seasoned salad. We “stumbled upon” the Grand Café Belfort by chance (while stopping in Sluis on our way back from Zeeland to Bruges) and we will happily return there if we have the opportunity to return to Sluis/L’Écluse.

Eten was niet slecht en de prijs was normaal.

Ich habe den Salade Brie für 17,50€ gegessen. Leider war ich sehr enttäuscht. Eine fertige Salatblattmischung, zwei halbierte Cocktailtomaten, den gut zerlaufenen Brie, der dann aber leider einem fertigen Sellerie/Karotten Salat verschmolzen war. Als Topping gab es Studentenfutter und einen Hauch von Dressing.

Veel te dure rekening ....mosselen was a volonte niemand die ook maar kwam vragen of er nog een portie moest komen daarnaast waren ze bijna allemaal nog toe en niet gaar , mijn partner had een steak apart frietjes apart saus waardoor de prijs heel hoog oploopt de reclame buiten is dus misleidend en niet juist . Ook het personeel kon vriendelijker . Het interieur is wel top.

Vergeten boodschappen dag nadien nog kunnen oppikken. Eerlijkheid geapprecieerd 🙏

Wir haben einen Shoppingtag bei schlechten Wetter eingelegt. Wie es so ist….es kam der Hunger. Nett wurden wir empfangen. Die Bedienung hat uns die komplette Speisekarte erklärt. Dann kam das Essen…. Und es war sehr lecker. Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Besonders Kass Kroketten und Garnelen Kroketten. Wir finden: Macht weiter so!

€77 euro dames en heren voor 2 personen mossels met een karaf wijn die beschimmeld was . Op het einde kon je pas zien dat er schimmel was wegens deze vast aangeplakt was in de karaf . Hebben de volle pot moeten betalen omdat wij het niet eerder opgemerkt hadden . Schandalig ! De oudere persoon wou dit van de rekening halen maar niet volgens de jongere persoon . Ons maag keert hiervan . Foto’s zijn hiervan ook genomen . Na vele keren hier te komen eten was dit onze laatste maal geweest . Niet omwille van de schimmel maar hoe de eigenaar dit heeft aangepakt . Puur geld dat bij hem telt .

Lieu chaleureux. Serveur trilingue et charmant magnant l'humour avec joie. Les burgers sont excellents. Les ingrédients sont sains la sauce est équilibrée, le poulet reste juteux. Les gaufres sont craquantes dehors et un peu douces dedans. Une adresse à recommander dans la charmante ville de sluis aux Pays Bas.

We hebben onszelf hier vergast op een mixed grill en een Cote â l'os. De sfeer, bediening, prijs, hoeveelheid, gaartijd en kwaliteit vh vlees is buitengewoon van kwaliteit en zéér lekker. Bedankt en tot ons volgend bezoek aan Sluis 🌟⁵

Zeer trage bediening. Meisje stond er tegen haar zin met een zuur gezicht. De jongere man was wel heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Gelukkig was het eten heel lekker. Alleen hadden we mayonaise en zout gevraagd aan het meisje en deze niet meer gekregen.
