Had a delicious meal at Buurman/Centraal Breskens. Nice and relaxed, friendly service. Yesterday at the Philippine mussel bank, today invited by my neighbor in Breskens.... fantastic!

If you like things authentic, this is the place for you. The owner is a real character and serves delicious apple pie. You'll pass this café on your way from the ferry into town, just before the touristy area begins. The interior is cozy and rustic, and I saw a pool table in the back room. We sat outside because we could park our pedal car there.

Very friendly service, good conversation, delicious food, great beers, and a unique, wonderful atmosphere. I always loved going there, but unfortunately, due to time constraints and the distance, I haven't been back in a long time. I wish we had a café like that near us.

Frozen apple pie for over 8 euros. Expensive coffee. Treated very unkindly by the owner, among others.
