Had a lovely time sitting by the water in the sun today.

Ordered a steak and oops, fries aren't included in this EXPENSIVE menu. If you want fries, you have to order them separately: €3.75 for a small bowl with maybe 20 fries in it. The steak was cut in half. WHY? All the juices on the plate. As for the vegetables, that was some bell pepper and zucchini, that was it. I'll go to Van der Valk instead, it's even cheaper.

The food was bad. The steak tartare was way too coarse and I left it after one bite. The spare ribs were undercooked. Everything was simply listed on the bill. We will never come back.

Delicious food. Little to no disturbance from other guests talking. Friendly service. Very good value for money.

We stopped here during our Rhine bike tour because it started to rain. We only had a beer, so I can't comment on the food. The menu seems large and comprehensive, though! The restrooms were clean and the staff very friendly 🙂 We would definitely come back, also because of the great location!

Hi, we ate there a few months ago with 7 people. The steak was sold out, so we eventually went for the tuna. Once served, it looked like one portion of tuna had been split in two and was overcooked. Since I was the host, I gave my share to someone else, and I ended up getting steak anyway. When paying, a dish was also taken away due to chaos in the kitchen, and even though it wasn't great, everything was handled properly, it can happen. We just celebrated my birthday with 9 people with my father as host. I only managed to eat half of the tuna; I really couldn't manage the rest, which I consider an insult to the host. And even though I don't think it was polite, fortunately, no one asked why I hadn't eaten it. Otherwise, we were served very properly, but I really think they should take the tuna off the menu. P

In good weather. Buiten Taras is highly recommended. You have a direct view of the water. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

What a super cozy restaurant! The staff is nice, helpful, and friendly. You can really tell they are enjoying themselves. We had lunch with 3 people. 2 people chose the fish salad and 1 person the satay. The salad was really big with lots of fish. You don't see that very often. It was beautifully presented and flavorful. The satay was also delicious and generous. In short, we will definitely go here again.

We wanted to have a quick drink at this little restaurant, but we were immediately told that there was only room in the sun, which doesn't bother us, but it doesn't give you a welcome feeling, so to speak. We sat outside to have a drink, but no service came, so we just left. When we were standing by the scooter to leave, the staff looked at us really strangely; it's a shame because I just wanted to have a quick drink and get back on the road. And then a childish reaction on top of that, even though you knew I was sitting there. I wouldn't even want to have a drink at this little restaurant anymore because they didn't walk me to the table, and I had indicated that I only wanted a drink. They didn't even say good afternoon, but immediately said "you have a reservation," and leaving the tables reserved at 3:00 PM is also weird, but oh well, that's your choice, and we didn't feel welcome at all....

This was my first time at this location! Both the food and enjoying the lovely Waterweg Movement on the terrace are definitely a plus.

What a lovely terrace by the water! You can sit in the sun under the parasol, or on the outside of the windbreaks for a bit more breeze. We enjoyed a delicious lunch there. Well-presented and freshly made in the kitchen. The kibbeling was a beautiful piece of cod, really worth it. Regarding the service: young, but very attentive. Just keep it up, 't Hoofd!

I have been there several times for both lunch and dinner. The service is top-notch. The people are friendly and anything is possible. When the weather is nice, there is a lovely terrace by the water. The food is also very tasty. I love going there.

We visited this restaurant today, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Because we were with children, we really wanted to sit on the terrace by the water. There were already people sitting there, so it seemed open. However, we first had to have an annoying and totally unnecessary discussion with a waitress when we asked for cushions for the benches — without those cushions, you really can't sit there normally because of the Velcro on the wood. At first, she didn't want to give them to us because she had just put them away. When I asked if the terrace was open, she said it was, but that they were closing it “later.” She didn't know exactly what that meant herself. After a long discussion, we eventually got the cushions. After that, it also took a long time before we could even order, because she was mostly busy with her phone. When I walked over to her myself to ask if we could order, she responded with a sigh as if she wasn't in the mood. Her attitude was truly unprofessional and uninterested. Part of our family had been there before and had exactly the same experience: a long wait to order and also a long wait for the food. When asked about the menu, she only gave short, unclear answers. It was especially difficult for people who do not speak Dutch. Even simple things like "thank you" or "enjoy your meal" were not forthcoming. The only positive thing was that the other staff members who brought the food were friendly and professional. In short: poor service and an unpleasant atmosphere. A shame.

Spent €40 pp inclusive tip. Service was efficient & friendly. Food was fine & location of the restaurant is attractive. Parking was in surrounding streets was a challenge, but free of charge.

It is always super cozy, the food is exquisite, only the Irish coffee is served in such a wrong glass! It just isn't supposed to be there!! We went out for dinner with friends again, it really was exquisite again, so delicious, and this time the owner had real Irish coffee glasses, truly 10 stars for the atmosphere, the food, and the coziness!

We ate for four. Everything was fine, but while I was looking forward to a delicious piece of stew, I found two pieces on my plate, one of which still contained a chunk of tough fat. My wife, on the other hand, had a really nice, large piece. I felt like I had the last of what was left. I also didn't notice the mixed mushrooms, though I did see a few sliced ​​mushrooms in the accompanying sauce. Unfortunately, I didn't.
