Delicious food. Fantastic atmosphere. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal for two. A nice spot by the window. The food was served quickly, and the appetizer, main course, and dessert were delicious! The service was good. The acoustics are a bit noisy, making it a bit noisy for quiet conversation. Otherwise, it was well-maintained.

Last night we sat at the De Stoomfabriek restaurant after watching the wonderful documentary "80 Years of Freedom in Dalfsen" by Pien van Huet. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, exceptionally friendly staff, and a delicious cheese and sausage platter. It was fantastic. Thank you, De Stoomfabriek!

I had a delicious salmon sandwich here today with a cup of coffee. The sandwich was super fresh, perfectly topped with fresh salmon and vegetables. The service was friendly and fast.

This industrial-style restaurant is beautifully situated in a former factory, with a riverside terrace. It's truly fantastic! They also occasionally host live performances.

Beautiful building and stunning views. We weren't entirely impressed with the food, but it wasn't "bad." I did think, however, that the wine poured in the glass was too small for the price (1/5 of the glass). Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were excellent.

We had lunch here this afternoon, and there was only one major problem: we'll have to come back many times to try everything on the menu :) The bread is wonderfully soft and fresh, and the portions are generous. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and both the terrace and the restaurant interior look inviting. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view. 😊 And of course, we enjoyed a delicious meal. We had nachos and fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise. Truly delicious, and enough for 3, but I think it would have been enough for 4 or 5. 🤣 The service was truly excellent. We didn't have to wait long for service, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great place! Beautiful location on the Vecht River in charming Dalfsen. The cappuccino is excellent – a nice balance between strong coffee and smooth milk. A delicious fresh cookie to go with it. And I always ask for a cup of whipped cream; that's a treat! Lunch was excellent, the service was quick and the staff were friendly – we come here often, but not too often. My favorite spot during a holiday in Ommen.

A lovely terrace for some tables overlooking the Vecht River. The service was good, although I wasn't asked if I liked it or had enjoyed it, but the answer was positive. I was also pleasantly surprised by the local beer on the beer menu.

Nice place and great staff. We go there quite often. Relatively low-salt options are available.

Not what we expected. Really high prices for what you get. There was only 1 bowl of salad and 1 cone of fries with 4 main courses (all adults) That is really too little! When it was served, I immediately ordered another portion of fries, but that only comes when you have actually finished your plate. The beef bavette (33) is served in 2 pieces (?) with 1 spoon of mashed potatoes and 3 uncooked haricots verts. The veal rib-eye (30) had that too. The red port jus was only dripped over a little. The salmon (30) was on some risotto and here too a few pieces of vegetables. With the few fries per person and 1 spoon of salad, this is really below par. We skipped dessert. Inside, the music was also a bit too loud and air conditioning water dripped just on the edge of the table. Outside, you can sit comfortably by the water. Service is friendly.

Very nice place to sit. The pizza was delicious. The staff was friendly, but we had to ask 3 times to clean the table. Took a long time to take the order and the communication between the staff was not always that good.

Nice restaurant on the water. Nice and cozy outdoor terrace in good weather with a view of the Vecht. Sufficient and friendly service, did not have to wait long, quality and price of the food is fine. No haute cuisine but fine dishes and sufficient choice. Can't add much more. Would like to come back here again.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Table setting not in order, no cutlery and napkins, waitress did not know what she was serving. Almost raw meat with tendons. Waiting times too long. We wish you strength with an approach that may lead to a better result.

For a surprise menu, indeed a surprise, well-filled plates of great quality, definitely something to go to again when we are in the area.

The restaurant in our hotel Mooirivier was already fully booked; but we got the tip about De Fabriek. Fortunately, they still had a table available on this King's Day! We ate delicious asparagus with delicious oysters and a glass of bubbles. Extremely friendly staff and a delicious warm sandwich with oil and salt beforehand. We will definitely come back again. Beautiful Grand Café in the old Cichorei factory. Nice and atmospheric interior. Located on the water and you can sit on the terrace. They serve a real latte macchiato here. We didn't eat there, so I can't say anything about that. An asset to Dalfen.

Food was tasty and the atmosphere was cozy. Had a delicious meal with our partner. Difference in staff, one is more experienced and 'smoother' and more concrete than the other, but that is an observation, not a negative for the business. Food was good and tasty, for an okay price today.

Delicious bread in advance, on-site service. Pizza was not very richly topped, but tasty. Had a delicious dessert with amarene cherry and pistachio ice cream, superb. Drank a nice sweet white wine.

Very nice terrace with a view of the water. Lunch was also very tasty and the coffee was of good quality! I think a major disadvantage (for non-smokers) is that smoking is allowed on the terrace. Really out of date these days.

The food was very tasty and the service was good. A few negatives: our table was right at the bottom of a busy staircase leading to the first floor. Constantly a lot of walking. The table next to us was occupied by "working people". 4 men in their work clothes with their company jackets hung over the chairs. We thought that was not appropriate for an evening out for which you have to pay a considerable amount.

After a short visit to Dalfsen, we had a bite to eat here for lunch. Nice tent, nicely set up, excellent food. The service was good, but it took a while before we were seen to take the order.

Ate deer stew here for the first time. Delicious! A bit messy decor, but I like it.

Super nice location, friendly and atmospheric. Former steam factory. Delicious food. The menu is limited but still enough choice. I don't know what it costs because the prices were not listed behind the menu. And we were surprised with this dinner. Nice staff who were up for a joke. Free parking nearby at the town hall. All in all we had a pleasant evening and I will definitely come back.

Excellent food in great surroundings. My wife had the 4-course surprise menu and every single course was terrific! I ordered à la carte and wasn't disappointed either, quite the opposite! The staff was very friendly, attentive and in a good mood. We had a wonderful evening and want to come back!

A nice and atmospheric place on the river, to drink coffee, have lunch or dinner. This is a great thing with cozy seating both downstairs and upstairs. It is important to make a reservation for dinner.

Been to the theater... Beautiful hall, 120 places... Beautiful grand cafe... allure, rare beautiful tent with a great terrace on the Vecht... Only... In today's good, civil Dalfsen... The bar closes at 12 o'clock and you are expected to leave... Such a shame....

Besides the beautiful decor and tasty food, what stood out was the service. You didn't have to do jumping jacks to try to get a waitress's attention. In fact, before you could think of anything, they came and asked if you would like something to drink. Quite a relief to not come home dehydrated from dinner for once.

Terrace looked very nice so the young lady asked if we could take a table. That was fine. After more than fifteen minutes still no help. The fact that several surrounding tables tried to attract the waiters' attention with both arms waving did not give us much confidence, so we left. Perhaps understaffed on a particularly beautiful Friday in October?

Asking for 2 coffees and 1 rivella on the terrace after a music performance on Saturday afternoon is too much of a good thing. The rivella took 5 minutes and then I was asked again 3 times about the coffee, but unfortunately after 30 minutes there was only that one rivella. Complaining indoors to the manager resulted in no apology and no coffee. There were many staff present who were chatting happily behind the bar and were busy doing nothing. The only solution (?) that came from the manager was that the coffee would be free... but... we didn't receive it, did we? And no, it was not extremely busy, half of the tables were occupied, there were a lot of staff walking around... but walking around and serving coffee is a bridge too far at the Fabriek aan de Vecht.

Great coffee and really friendly.

Despite a reservation 2 days before, we were not allowed to sit at a seat near the water, but people arriving 20 minutes after us were able to take a seat. Bread ordered was not served. The dishes on the menu on the internet menu were "long" (uhmmm) no longer available. And the service indicated that the manager was making a mess of it....... All very special. Because we have eaten there many times with great pleasure and always very well.

Spagetti Carbonara lacks finesse, somewhat lackluster in taste. Furthermore, the portion size is insufficient, too little to be satisfying. The complaint was not picked up and the standard response is “I will pass it on.” Stupid as a restaurant to serve a very small portion of a relatively cheap dish. Basic plate without garnish or frills, no attachment, just a plate you get from the Isala industrial kitchen. No compliment and this resident of Dalfsen will not return here anytime soon.

The food was really excellent! There was a large bread basket in advance and fries and salad were also served with the meal. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service was also very friendly and quick. Gladly again!!

This restaurant is rightly called "Factory", but not in the negative sense of the word. The space is huge, over two floors, and is clearly a former factory. It is a busy restaurant, with many tables, where you should make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends. There are a lot of staff around, who are very friendly and attentive, but not pushy. For me, as a hearing-impaired person, the noise in the crowds was disturbing. Checking out was a bit messy: you have to go to the cash register yourself and there is a line of eight people in front of you. The menu is quite extensive and the range varies from French to Italian and also plenty of choice for vegetarians. The dishes are imaginatively prepared, with many seasonal products. The portions are more than sufficient and the prices not too high. As a starter we had a fantasy of the chef (we will keep that a secret for now) and asparagus with salmon as a main course. Everything was very nicely prepared and definitely fresh.
