Slow but polite service. We ordered a truffle burger and a pulled pork burger. The meat in the truffle burger was terribly stale. The pulled pork burger was completely ordinary—just bread, pork, and lettuce. The french fries tasted of old oil. The sweet potato fries were completely burnt.

TERRIBLE. I ordered a schnitzel. The menu stated, "Schnitzel served with vegetable topping." When the food arrived, there was also a huge amount of sauce on it. This sauce was very spicy. I indicated that this was not an option for me due to sensitive stomachs and that this was not indicated on the menu either. So I asked for a new schnitzel WITHOUT sauce. The waitress took my food away and went back with it. Subsequently, my entire party had already finished eating when my new schnitzel arrived. She put the schnitzel down and no, not without sauce as requested, but drenched in pepper sauce. When I pointed this out again, the staff reacted extremely irritably. As compensation, I received a free drink, but otherwise, the atmosphere was ruined for us. So we left hungry. No more Wildeman for us!

For lunch, I had the corn ribs and calamari. I find this to be the most tasteless food ever. A sauce was simply thrown on the corn ribs, and absolutely no seasoning was used. Not even salt. The same goes for the calamari. There is *always* a lemon slice with it, but not here. This cost €19, so it was a waste of money. I also didn't get a napkin to wipe my mouth. Furthermore, there were large holes in the parasols, causing everything to get wet even faster. The only good thing I have to say is that the staff were customer-friendly. I will never come back here.

Nice place and definitely worth stopping by for drinks. We spent a Sunday afternoon having drinks and stayed for dinner. I found dinner relatively pricey, but it was very tasty, so just go for it. The only downside is parking in Eindhoven (Heuvel, was very expensive).

I just left this place, "De Wildemen" (Eindhoven), where I felt discriminated against and morally offended by one of the employees. "I simply raised my hand to place an order, and the person taking it arrogantly shouted several times, 'I'm coming, I'm coming,' and then walked past several tables ignoring me, looking at me in a literally intimidating way." I had to get up and go talk to him, and in the end, he apologized, acknowledging that he had acted badly. Just the fact that he acknowledged it and apologized is enough for me to say nothing more. And in the end, it was the owner himself who was acting as if he were dealing with his children when he misbehaves or with one of his employees, speaking very rudely and thinking he was superior. I found out that he was the owner himself through one of the bar workers. Sad episode. *

Not recommended!! The food was cold, and we received the wrong portion of bitterballen. When we pointed this out, we were not offered a new portion because we had already eaten some. Poor service. Do not go there!!

I ordered a ham and cheese toastie, but the ham and cheese were nowhere to be found; scandalous for this price. The waitress took it back and said she would bring another one, but I declined. Then she offered the drinks for free. The waitress was great and couldn't be blamed for this. She handled it properly.

The pub quiz on Tuesday and Wednesday is highly recommended!

The food was fine, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired; it was incredibly slow even though it wasn't busy. They barely asked if we wanted anything else to drink and kept forgetting to put down the cutlery. After we had ordered our starter and main course, they only came to ask if we wanted anything else after the starter, even though we had obviously already ordered. The service did not feel welcoming, and the staff even walked across the seating area where guests were sitting, which was very unhygienic. The atmosphere was also not very cozy; it was very dark, and although there were candles on the table, they were not lit, which made the whole thing feel a bit cold. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Last week we dined at your restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience was primarily an exercise in managing expectations. We ordered the Surf & Turf for €33.50. At the word "surf," we had secretly hoped for something more than two lonely prawns likely still looking for the rest of their family. For a dish called Surf & Turf, the surfing part felt more like paddling in a children's pool. Then there was the beef tenderloin. Normally, with a nice piece of meat, you expect something tender and flavorful. In terms of texture, what we received resembled a piece of rubber from a hardware store. Additionally, the portion consisted of about five small slices, making us wonder if the rest had perhaps accidentally ended up at the neighbors' table. The beer also failed to fully convince us. By the time we took our first sip, the foam had already disappeared, as if it had to go home early. Surely a freshly tapped beer should have a bit more life. Of course, we understand that things can sometimes go wrong, but for the price charged, we honestly expected better quality and a larger portion. We hope you take this feedback to heart, so that future guests get a slightly larger wave at the "surf" and a slightly less elastic "turf". Kind regards

Cozy place with very tasty burgers.

Way understaffed at lunchtime so waited for a very long time until someone took our order….was about to leave out of frustration and should have. Food was just ok.

This restaurant has a lovely location in downtown Eindhoven, with a pleasant outdoor seating area and very friendly service. The food was good, but the price-performance ratio wasn't quite good enough for five stars. The "loaded fries with pulled pork" consisted of rather dry, small pieces of pork instead of juicy pulled pork. The steak on top of the Philly cheesesteak was good, but there was way too much sauce. But that's a matter of personal taste, of course. It's a great place to sit and enjoy your time.

The chicken was lukewarm, and the correct alcohol percentage is not listed on the menu. That's a 3% difference.

Unfortunately, we didn't have such a good experience. We went to Wildeman on the recommendation of my friend, who had a good experience a few times at dinner. Unfortunately, ours at lunch was less so. The asparagus soup was incredibly thin, like a bouillon, which was a real letdown. The taste was good, though. The chicken on the salad was so salty it was barely edible, and they had forgotten the dressing on the tuna salad, which we had to go get ourselves. Fortunately, the service was nice and the atmosphere was good. Another tip: when you lower the blinds, the music gets even louder, making it impossible for people who are hard of hearing (and honestly, even for people with normal hearing) to understand each other. Perhaps you could take this into account by turning the music down a little at that moment.

Cozy terrace for a cold afternoon, great coffee and nice staff

It has always been our favorite terrace, but unfortunately, they are not solution-oriented at all. We were sitting on the terrace on Friday and we had a birthday boy or girl with us. We had ordered 2 tequila shots, but they brought 7 shots: 5 limoncello and 2 tequila, and we got fireworks for the birthday boy or girl. We said that we hadn't ordered the limoncello, but we were told that they were giving it to us. Then, at home, I saw 17.50 on the bill for the limoncello. The next day we were also in town at a terrace there, and I explained the story to 3 employees. Each time they said they were going to discuss it with the boss, and then no one came back. I don't think this is fair of them.

If I sit down anywhere on the market in Eindhoven, it is always at De Wildeman. The service here is really good and super friendly! You do have to wait a bit for drinks occasionally, but given the size of the terrace, that is not surprising. The lunch is always good!

We thought we'd have a nice quick lunch; all three of us had chicken club sandwiches, stale bread, a few pieces of bacon, half an egg, lettuce, and one slice of chicken breast. Super dry, definitely not recommended for 14 euros a sandwich! We sat on the terrace with our dog and asked for water, but that didn't work either… no, we won't be coming back here.

I wanted to sit on the terrace because it said until 3:00, and suddenly it was closed when I arrived at 1:30. I don't like that.

Average value for money. The service is quite fast. When I come to Eindhoven, I often stop here for a drink with friends thanks to the large outdoor seating area.

Went for lunch for two. Both dishes came with white bread instead of the brown bread we ordered. The ordered fried egg dish was cold after the first bite (we were sitting outside, but still). The croquettes arrived without the mustard we ordered (just like last time). It tasted good enough in the end. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she defended herself by showing that she had rung up for brown bread. Very nice, but just arrange with the kitchen that brown bread is served next time.

I got food poisoning from the hamburger. Everything seemed fine, but after a while my stomach started hurting and I felt sick all night. I know it was the hamburger because it was the only thing that I ate . Be careful.

February 27th: First time, a super warm welcome and pleasant, efficient service. We sat there for a few hours, had a nice drink, and then the XL snack platter, which was really great. There were four of us there and we didn't need a meal afterward. February 28th: ​​We went back early in the afternoon. The service was stiff and unfriendly. We only got a container of grandma's apple pie, which was straight out of the freezer and looked like supermarket apple pie. March 1st: We went back for a drink and a snack. We sat inside, and as we were invisible, we had to ask at the bar to order something, and they said no. We sent a colleague. The colleague was certainly not cheerful. Long story short. It's a shame for such a beautiful location. The management needs to improve the management and experience of the young staff. We don't know if we'll come back next year.

We had a great evening here until we had to pay! We'd paid for our rounds, and a bottle of wine was placed incorrectly. We enjoyed it, and after paying my bill, I said, "Oh, this bottle wasn't for us." Then the waiter admitted it had been placed incorrectly. I had to sign for it, but that's ridiculous if we didn't order something!

A very cozy location. Tastefully decorated and super-motivated staff. Delicious food and an extensive lunch menu. A top-notch establishment.

Excellent place in the square near the central station. Beautifully decorated and refined, the staff were helpful and the service was quick (despite it being a busy Friday), plus good food and beer! Special thanks to Luana, who was friendly and kind. If we ever return, we'll definitely stop by!

The atmosphere was good, but the food took a long time to arrive. Finally, it arrived, but it was still very cold.

Despite booking well in advance, we were placed at a table that was far too small, and the new table was only for four people. Tables were constantly being shuffled, making it impossible to get through. It's a shame we were participating in a pub quiz, otherwise we would have left immediately. We ordered a PSV dinner, and it seems like you'd want to eat reasonably early because of the match. We ended up waiting a little under an hour for our food, so we had to rush to the stadium. We were told that due to unforeseen circumstances, the chef wasn't available. That's really annoying! A tip would be to share that information beforehand instead of including it with the bill, so everyone can decide for themselves whether to stay for dinner or not. Currently, (several) groups are looking around restlessly. If one decides to leave, you'll have sold beer and then have more capacity to feed the rest on time. The fries weren't quite cooked through, and apparently my friend's hamburger wasn't quite cooked either. Hopefully, yesterday was an exception, because I'm always very satisfied with this grand café!

We ate here for lunch today. The place is beautifully decorated, and that was the only positive. It was way too cold in there, and so was my teriyaki chicken sandwich. Brrrrr. The staff said it was supposed to be that way. My table companion had an Asian omelet. Also very disappointing. The food was absolutely terrible. We paid €33 for two cups of coffee. We really regret that. Tip: Turn on the heating and, for the slightly older waitress, turn down the heat a bit. We won't be back.

De Wildeman is a cozy café where you can also grab a bite to eat. There's always a pub quiz on Wednesdays, but it's always busy and crowded. On weekends, it's mainly a crowd of twenty-somethings. It has a very cozy atmosphere, and you can even watch football there on weekends.

Bitterballen were half-filled, so I paid full price! €1.25 per ball! Couldn't get a free drink. We were offered a fresh portion, but since we were going out for dinner, we didn't use it. And it was from the same supplier... too bad they don't strive for a positive customer experience.

We made a reservation in advance for dinner for four people. Upon arrival, it took fifteen minutes for someone to come take our order. Then it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. No, we were told, that applied for the entire evening. So, a restaurant where we had already made a reservation for lunch... He himself thought it was ridiculous and apologized for the whole place. So we went to the Belgisch Biercafe on Stratumseind. They have a great meal. Highly recommended! Skip De Wildeman right away.

Cozy cafe/brasserie Pub quiz super fun

Ordered something during the marathon, left after 75 minutes, and still hadn't seen the order despite repeated inquiries. They weren't prepared for the rush. They were very understanding, though, and not reluctant.

Pure discrimination. Security only cares about women. They only let women through. Then, when questions are raised, they react negatively to the door policy. Security has a preference for women. Very annoying.

I had a delicious vegetarian satay, and compliments! The prawn crackers were made with cassava, so also vegetarian! Hats off for the attention to detail!

We wanted to have a drink together, but the lack of service made us leave before we got anything. The staff was mostly sitting outside smoking and socializing. When we finally ordered, we indicated we already knew what we wanted, but the waiter walked away to smoke again because we asked about the seasonal cocktail. After we had to beckon him again to order, we waited so long that we simply left. The same waiter also looked at our table once, made a surprised face that we still hadn't received anything, and walked inside, so we hoped it would arrive by now. But he simply lit another cigarette. Not a word about it. Yeah, bye. It wasn't like it was that busy either. Just a handful of people on the terrace. He himself had already told other customers that if you want to socialize, you should go next door. So we went somewhere else, but we did have our drinks. We won't be back.

Friday night, a very quiet evening. Hardly anyone inside, and 20 people on both patios. The staff (one even said he was new) were standing outside smoking and socializing. After 10 minutes, no drinks had been ordered. He saw it and went after it. After 20 minutes, still nothing, and he was back to socializing with his colleagues. After not being able to make contact, and after one of the servers walked back in, saw our drinks, and didn't take any action, we left. What a mess.

Disgusting. Never again. What a horror this was. We arrived and had to wait ten minutes, without anyone even looking at us. Finally, a very friendly guy came and took our order: two Baileys with ice and two regular beers. Sounds simple, right? Well, forget it. For 13 euros, we got a so-called double Baileys (which definitely wasn't a double), it was just a small base, and no ice at all. When we pointed this out, a waitress came with an attitude so arrogant and condescending that we were speechless. Instead of politely saying she'd fix it, she snapped at us. A little later, she returned with the ice… and literally threw it on the table. No smile, no "please," just aggressive and disrespectful. My friends saw it too, and we were all completely shocked. We'd never experienced anything like it. When we asked someone to join us, she finally gave us a half-hearted apology, but even then, she was arrogant and disrespectful. I said, "You're the professional, aren't you?" To which she seriously replied, "I'm not professional." Well, we noticed. There were other guests sitting next to us who had also been ignored for far too long. They eventually even walked out. Truly a sad situation. This is without a doubt the worst place I've ever been. Antisocial staff, ridiculous prices, and an attitude that makes no sense. Do NOT go here unless you're happy to pay to be treated disrespectfully.

It's such a shame that our beloved tortilla salad, which I've been enjoying at your place for years, is specifically for that. Unfortunately, it's no longer available. We were also treated incredibly aggressively by the staff and were moved to another table to make room for a group of men. Absolutely rude. That's no way to treat customers; it didn't say anywhere that it was a reservation. And then they make excuses afterward, almost fight with the customer, and are so rude. It's unbelievable!

What a horrible place, arrogant staff and very strange treatment. A tourist information voucher should have been accepted, but they refused because of a personal problem with us. I'm going to the police, this went way too far!

Everyone was super grumpy; then they were ripped off because they said they wouldn't accept the VVV voucher, even though it was LITERALLY stated on the website.

Whenever I'm in Eindhoven, I usually grab a bite to eat at De Wildeman. This time, it felt a bit run-down. I didn't think it was very clean, even worn out, and the service was slow, even though we were practically the only ones inside due to the warm weather. It was a real shame, really.

Been there a few times now. It seems like you are getting less and less food for your money. Going home hungry when you order spareribs can't be good. Cutting back on spareribs which are the cheapest purchase of all the products on the menu. Not doing well here. Or raise the price and put more on the plate. 25,- for 6/7 bones is too expensive!!!

This terrace was a big disappointment. We had to wait ridiculously long for our food, which turned out to be tasteless. The staff was disinterested and downright unfriendly – ​​no sign of hospitality whatsoever. We had to wave constantly to get attention. On top of that, the tables were sticky and the menus dirty, which made the whole atmosphere even more unpleasant. All in all a sloppy affair. Absolutely not recommended – a waste of your time and money.

Disappointed. The service is mediocre, it takes quite a while for the staff to come, and apparently they see water burning when a German beer is ordered because he had never heard of Weihenstephaner. And then the drinking itself: For a glass of Weisse that costs 9.50 euros!!!! It wasn't even properly filled (See photo, haven't taken a sip yet) I personally find it scandalous, there is clearly a 0.5 marking on the glass. The food is reasonable but really expensive. The asparagus soup tastes great and the spare ribs were also tasty. The fries could have been a bit longer for me. For 15.50!! You really get laughably little beef tataki, (See photo) then try to hide it with a smaller plate. Then a mistake is also made with the bill, apparently we have an old menu and the prices are no longer correct. You check something like that, don't you? The whole place looks messy, apart from the staff who don't know Weihenstephaner, the entire bar is also stacked with dirty empty glasses. Of course I don't mind, but it just doesn't look good. All in all, a lot has to change before I would never come back here. At the moment, you just walk out disappointed when you're done.

Been twice in the past. The 1st time in the afternoon, nothing happened, 1 lady who came across as rather blunt, but the food and drinks were fine. We had a nice drink last night (we thought), firstly we felt very embarrassed by the lady who came to take the order. Then we wanted to order another drink, we raised our hands, no one came, no one came by and the ladies just stood there chatting. Then the person I was with thought I'd walk over, an angry look came from her and 10 minutes later she finally came. Well we wait, but in the meantime a lot of things happened behind us, including a fight. We were sitting right in front of it and I was pushed hard and hit the table hard... I was shaking outside and was shocked, of course you have no control over this. But then we report this to the staff, and there was a lady inside, we wanted to pay immediately and pushed and angrily said that you have to do it outside, at that moment my knee hurt and no one came, are you okay? But no, very rude, not sympathetic and just say they're gone, you can sit down, right? Well, you couldn't have known about that fight in advance, but that the staff acted like that and heard laughter behind us and just said yes, this was a 'sensation' to see. Ridiculous. Very disappointing because this was a permanent spot for 7 years. Very unfortunate. And a bad evening that could have been very pleasant or at least compassion for your guests. Disappointing.

We got there at 19:30 and we ordered right away, we got first our drinks, it was good and after waiting for 1 hour for our food we didn’t receive nothing . We were outside at the rain and wind and didn’t arrive nothing and nobody came to check on us. We decided to leave and the only thing they said was sorry.

Yesterday, March 31, 2025, I went shopping alone in Eindhoven for a day and that included a nice lunch, of course. The sun was shining and the terrace looked inviting to take a seat. You have a terrace in front of the business (I took a seat here), but De Wildeman also has a large terrace in the middle of the market! Before you take a seat you can see what is on the menu on several large plates. But I don't need that for lunch 😉 I sat, looked at the menu and was helped quite quickly. I passed on my choice and they brought it to my table quite quickly. I went for the surf and turf on brown bread (you can choose between white and brown). The sandwich tasted very delicious, the diamond tenderloin was wonderfully tender and with the shrimps it was a delicious combination to enjoy! It was not very busy on the terrace, so I had actually hoped that there would be more time for the guests, but alas. Fortunately the sun made up for a lot!

Nice place, but what a mess on a Saturday afternoon. The entire bar was full of dirty glassware and the staff stood there and looked at it. And just added some more! Maybe it's time for a bit more guidance in that area... A visit to the toilet is also not recommended: a filthy staircase and dirty toilet areas with toilet paper everywhere on the floor, no paper towels and sticky floors. Brrrrr! For us, reason enough not to eat here.

It is understandable that a restaurant can be busy, but that should absolutely not be an excuse for unprofessional behavior. We were served by a young man who looked at us with a dirty face from the moment we entered. Hospitality is the foundation of a good dining experience, and although it can be busy, you can always remain friendly and put a smile on your face. This employee's behavior was downright disgraceful and completely ruined the entire experience. Too bad, because the restaurant itself has a lot of potential, but the service was so bad that we didn't feel welcome. We will certainly not return here in the future.

We sat on the terrace for an hour and it took a very long time before they even came to our table. After signaling several times (which was initially ignored). Someone came to our table. Very grumpy and she didn't seem to feel like it at all. Asked for drinks which took 15 minutes to get there. And food that was fast, but I didn't get what I asked for. So I had to go to the service to find out it wasn't the right thing. She would bring new sauce. It didn't come, so we asked someone else. Ended up asking 3 people and it still didn't come.
