Grandcafé Wijntje in Wijk 55 Voorthuizen

Het eten was prima. De bediening ook. Maar ga nooit op het terras zitten. Wij waren voor een feestelijke lunch met 8 broers en zussen. De lunch was goed, maar werd gedeeltelijk verziekt door rokers op het terras. 2 zware shag rokers naast ons en toen die weg waren een smerige pijp roker. Het personeel wilde/kon niet ingrijpen, wij vonden dat onbegrijpelijk. Maak een rokers terras, maar die rook stank willen wij nooit meer meemaken.

We arrived for breakfast a little short on options, but we were very surprised to find an apple pie ready and waiting for us: delicious, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed drinks. I was hesitant between two wines, so I got to taste both. Excellent! Quick service.

We received a recommendation from our hosts at Happyness Hoeve on Wolsbergerweg. The hosts drove us there. Unfortunately, a taxi back wasn't available, but Rianne, a dedicated and enthusiastic employee, took us back in her private car. Hats off! What excellent service! Thank you. Went here for dinner unexpectedly. What a lovely place, and the weather was perfect for dining on the terrace. I had the lamb tenderloin. I even had a salad with it, which was also delicious. They have wonderful wine. It was a really lovely experience to eat there, highly recommended.

Gezellig en betaalbaar, zeer goede service. Zowel binnen als buiten zit je hier prima. Veel personeel dus ze vullen je drankjes steeds aan.

Nice staff! Also ordered nachos and the cheese was delicious also placed in between, but there was so much sweet chili (not chili sauce as stated on the menu) in it, that it was way too sweet. Unfortunately it was everywhere and that made it not tasty

Nice beautiful place, friendly staff, only the music is terrible. Very depressing music like white flag by dido and other very old inappropriate music. What kind of atmosphere does that put on a terrace? Nice in the sun, and then that unsociable vague music.

I like the service and price, only one thing irritates me: the music. It is a terrace and not a construction site, sometimes very dramatic depressive music like mad world, or old 90s Céline Dion and more of that kind of nonsense. A bit of a skyradio idea. Sometimes the idea that I am sitting near a construction radio. Totally not suitable for a smooth and cozy terrace and ruins the vibe. Do something about it….

Of course it is a grandcafe, not a restaurant, so on Saturday night you take the risk of ending up in a jolly atmosphere with many exuberant local youth, who dine together after a week of hard work. A warning in advance had us book a table elsewhere, good 'restaurants' enough in Voorthuizen and surroundings. Excellent food by the way and more than excellent service!

Everything is right. Generous portions, fair prices, no misplaced thriftiness, great food, beautiful decor. We do this more often.

The website indicated that it was 'full' on Saturday night. A phone call taught me that we were still welcome but had to sit on a high chair. Well that was no punishment. The food was good, the young man who served us was very enthusiastic. If it had been up to him we would have ordered 2 different starters, main courses and desserts and we would have left a bit tipsy ;) But we didn't go along with that, because we wanted to walk back and arrive safely at our campsite at 22:30.

Probably the best coffee we've seen in the Netherlands, and at more than reasonable prices for this country: €2.25 a coffee. We were delighted.

The capuchino gets a 10 from me. The wine was also delicious. Nice atmosphere and friendly and kind service. The meat was good with delicious sauce, but little vegetable garnish. It was busy, but the acoustics are good so you can still have a conversation.

Fun and tasty food for young and old. Friendly service. When the weather is nice there is a spacious terrace on the square. Parking in the area, within certain times with a parking disc.

Had lunch. Toasti and a few raatlers. Were on the road with our motorcycle, so we had lunch here. Nice, busy, nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Don't wait long. Large terrace and heating outside for the cold days. I would also like to give Sabine a nice bite to eat here. Until next time.

Large dining tent. Cozy furnishings. Delicious leek-scallion soup with lunch. After this, a 'heavenly' tasting home-made 'cheese cake'. Only minus point, slow service.

Just an update. I thought it was a nice place, last time less. Staff is very present. And asking if everything is okay is nice, but every 5 minutes is slightly exaggerated.

De spa blauw was iets te nat en het had totaal geen smaak beetje waterig vind ik. Het water was verder wel goed kom zeker nog is terug!

A cozy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Full every weekend so reservations are a must. Due to the crowds we had to wait a long time for our main course, but that was no problem for us. Lots of attention from the staff; do you like it, would you like to drink something else, etc.

Altijd een keurige bediening, vriendelijke medewerkers en meer dan lekker eten. Ook op het gebied van glutenvrij (ivm Coeliakie) kan er veel.

Mushrooms with a lot of fried casing. Mixed game dish not ok. Desert lacked flavors that were on the menu. The restaurant felt cramped. Not going there again.

Supergezellig gelunched op het terras, met " 'n wijntje" en 'n speciaalbiertje. lekkere hamburger met frietjes simpel op 't bord geserveerd. Vriendelijke bediening.

The tables outside with the fire are very cozy. Nice service and also flexible with the menu. We like that. Warm goat cheese with bacon, nuts and honey: always delicious. Unfortunately, the bun was not fresh and the arugula was a bit wilted. Maybe we should have said. We'll try it again.

We waren hier om daarna door te gaan naar 40-45 de Musical. Het is echt heerlijk eten, super knus restaurant met super leuk personeel! Heerlijk in het centrum met parkeren dichtbij, echt een aanrader al zit je in de buurt op een camping in de zomer!

Iedere keer als we bij het Wijntje gaan drinken of eten is het top! Lekkerste appeltaart ooit gegeten met een berg stevige slagroom, koffie met standaard een borrelglaasje advocast met slagroom. Gisteren een heerlijk diner gegeten. De bediening is altijd zeer vriendelijk en supersnel. Top,top, top.!!!

Centrally located restaurant in Voorthuizen with typical Dutch cuisine and very fair prices. The staff was friendly and competent at all times, even during busy periods. First place if you get hungry in Voorthuizen.

Voorthuizen (or Voorthuuz'n, as they pronounce it there) was of course only known from Struik and C-Jay (the famous DJ/producer). But... now also because of Wijntje. Had a lovely lunch there, good atmosphere, friendly service. Definitely a place to go again! We now had lunch there, but it is also ideal for dinner or just a nice glass of wine!
