Ordered the platter tonight, it wasn't very tasty, they changed it. Shame about the wine, that was always good. The appetizers were less tasty, I hear from other people that the food has gone downhill too, no more platter.

Wijntje is my favorite restaurant. I ate here yesterday with my husband. The food is really delicious; the tournedos is highly recommended. It is also a very cozy place, and the prices are good too. The staff is also extremely friendly.

Grand Café Wijntje looks like a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys quality food in a cozy setting. The menu offers something for every taste, from fresh salads and delicious meat dishes to homemade cakes and carefully prepared lunch and dinner options. The High Tea with sandwiches, brownies and cakes sounds especially tempting. I also love the focus on fresh and, where possible, local ingredients. Overall, Wijntje seems like a great spot to enjoy flavorful food, good drinks and a relaxed dining experience.

Unfortunately, I had to return the salmon because it was raw inside. I mentioned this and they reheated it. After that, it didn't taste good anymore. Still, I paid the full price. A shame.

We have eaten here twice now and every time it was delicious. The fish of the day was sea bass, perfect! The burger was also a hit. The homemade Monchou cake was also super tasty! Very cozy terrace and friendly service. We will definitely come back on our next visit to the Veluwe.

We visit this café-restaurant in Voorthuizen all year round. We enjoy delicious sandwiches and tasty Monchou pastry there. Today, however, we had a very negative experience. We ordered a glass of Aperol Spritz. The price was €8.25! But it was the contents that mattered. The original Aperol glass was filled with 11 ice cubes and two slices of lemon. The rest of the glass was filled with a standard mix of Aperol, Prosecco, and sparkling water, insofar as there was still room for it. All in all, it turned out to be a weak drink for a relatively high price. The price-quality ratio was completely lacking here. The manager I spoke to also thought 11 ice cubes was a lot but didn't apologize at all. The answer I received was that the prescribed amount of drink had been filled. The question, of course, is how much the owner actually prescribed. Not a good showing at Grand Café Wijntje in Voorthuizen.

Had coffee and cake. Good, large slices of cake. And homemade for a reasonable price!!!

Since June 12th, my wife and I (Jan/Wim) have visited Wijntje regularly. We had delicious lunches and dinners. The wait staff deserves praise. We had a nice chat with Sophier. He is very customer-friendly and is definitely in his element at Wijntje.

We dined with 11 people. We sat at a cozy high table. The service was top-notch! Very friendly and professional. The food and drinks were delicious. And every adjustment we requested was served well. The value for money was excellent. A truly good grand cafe.

Friendly and good dishes. However, if you order mint tea and say you don't want honey with it, and they add it anyway and then charge you for it, I don't think that's polite. It's not about the price. I've heard this from several people. It isn't asked; it's added, and it's not stated anywhere that there's a charge for it, especially if you specify it yourself: mint tea WITHOUT honey.

Today, I dined with six people at restaurant Wijntje in Voorthuizen. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. I ordered the lamb racks as the main course. After my food was served, the lamb racks turned out to be raw, tough, and the meat was inedible. After taking a small bite, I immediately returned my food. The waiter barely reacted, if at all. After a few minutes, I received the same lamb racks back. These turned out to still be very raw. Inedible. I pointed this out to the waiter again, after which he told me that this was their normal preparation method and that it was supposed to be like that. He said nothing else, only that I could have a cup of coffee. The atmosphere and our evening were completely ruined. When settling the bill, it turned out that my lamb racks had simply been listed on the bill, after which a heated discussion ensued with the waiter. He told me that I had eaten my food, which was not true. Fortunately, I had taken a photo showing the returned lamb racks. I have never encountered such an arrogant waiter. I told him that as a customer I was king, to which he told me that he was the emperor!!!!! After the intervention of a colleague, whom I suspect was a manager, the waiter was sent away and the amount for the lamb racks was deducted. Our evening, and mine, was ruined. I will never eat here again. Oh yes, as consolation I got a free cup of coffee. The other 5 people just had to pay for their coffee. It is scandalous how I was treated.

Was great food, imo some of the best ever, i wanted to give a 5/5 star too but the pannecotta was not very good, it tasted like the layer on top missed sugar... and I dont even think there was supposed to be a layer on top and also the rabarber jam was a tad bit too sweet. But all in all very very good

On a sunny day, we stopped by this restaurant again for lunch. Together with friends, we ordered a small dinner dish instead of lunch, consisting of chicken satay with a sauce, etc. All four of us concluded that the meat was very dry and the satay sauce on top wasn't really tasty (a Knorr packet or similar); a shame, of course. The next time we had lunch together, it consisted of a Turkish roll topped with a chicken fillet, etc. It was a pity that the fillet consisted of meat (sliced ​​wafer-thin) and not really a chicken fillet. Furthermore, the roll had unfortunately been in the oven too long; it was very dry, making it difficult to eat and cut without unnecessarily soiling the table with crumbs that came loose with every bite. We brought this to the waiter's attention. Our conclusion is that it was resolved well and amicably; as for the roll, well, it was a shame, of course. But we were offered a drink as an apology; that's fine, but of course it remains a shame about what could have been a tasty sandwich. Note: the service is always correct and friendly. We will certainly keep coming back; it is almost our weekly Sunday lunch moment.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. The service is amazing. The food is delicious. We were seated at a high table, though, which I find less comfortable than a low table. But despite that, I'm giving them the full score because they deserve it.

They accommodated our specific food requests (which isn't something you experience very often), and it was delicious and well-prepared. Generous portions. The crème brûlée was fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent, but what I don't understand (and this is true almost everywhere in the restaurant industry) is that the peanut sauce on the satay comes from a wholesaler. If I want that sticky, sweet stuff from Wijko, I'll go to Albert Heijn. It's precisely on things like that that you can score points as a chef! I'll definitely go back to Wijntje; my criticism is meant to be constructive.

Service, very friendly ladies. I don't really understand yet when it's okay to disturb someone during dinner. (You don't have to ask three times if it's okay if you see someone deep in conversation.) The plates were beautifully presented, but the appetizers weren't great (they lacked flavor). But it's a cozy place for a bite to eat.

What a surprise in Voorthuizen! A lovely, cozy place with a warm conservatory, very friendly staff, and a great (lunch) menu. We had a delicious meal with, of course, a nice glass of wine. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommended. The food was delicious. With two children who were just a bit too hungry for a children's menu, we had a bit of trouble choosing something. But they encouraged us to be adventurous. No regrets! Spring onion soup was delicious, the stew was superb, and the tournedos was perfectly cooked exactly as ordered. The combination of flavors was excellent, even the dessert! According to the website, reservations are no longer accepted, but a quick phone call and it was no problem.

Overall, a really great place, nothing to complain about! Only today was a bit disappointing. Around noon, two employees were having lunch next to my girlfriend and me, and we could tell we were being laughed at. Whenever we said something, they looked at each other and started laughing out of nowhere—even when they were quiet. They also stared at us. It's a real shame to see these people walking around here too. I hope this doesn't happen to other guests, otherwise they might ruin it for their colleagues as well. That would be unfair, because the rest of the staff were incredibly hospitable!

The only drawback is that there's very little space between the tables. Two people can't pass each other.

Great restaurant, with amazing food. The service is above and beyond. So far the best place in Netherlands we’ve visited. We’ve been here for a five times already and every time the experience is for 5 stars! We had a few waiters serving us so far, all of them did great job. Very fast and efficient. Iva, Dian, Sophier and Mars did amazing. 100% recommended.

We had a lovely lunch, the staff were friendly, but we felt we had to leave as quickly as possible to make room for the next guests, and we were back outside within 35 minutes.

During our week-long vacation in Putten, we even had two delicious lunches there, we loved it so much... on the outdoor terrace in the glorious sunshine, what more could you want?... definitely recommended.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat, even though there were a lot of waiters. We sat down after two in the afternoon, there weren't many guests in the restaurant, I wouldn't say they were loitering, but compared to the number of servers, there weren't many. They took a long time to take our drink order, we didn't even wait for the food. I'm sorry, but lately I've seen the attitude that if a guest leaves, it's okay, another one comes. This is not the right direction!!!

The service was super friendly and attentive, just what you'd hope for during a relaxing afternoon. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Het eten was prima. De bediening ook. Maar ga nooit op het terras zitten. Wij waren voor een feestelijke lunch met 8 broers en zussen. De lunch was goed, maar werd gedeeltelijk verziekt door rokers op het terras. 2 zware shag rokers naast ons en toen die weg waren een smerige pijp roker. Het personeel wilde/kon niet ingrijpen, wij vonden dat onbegrijpelijk. Maak een rokers terras, maar die rook stank willen wij nooit meer meemaken.

Went here for dinner unexpectedly. What a lovely place, and the weather was perfect for dining on the terrace. I had the lamb tenderloin. I even had a salad with it, which was also delicious. They have wonderful wine. It was a really lovely experience to eat there, highly recommended.
