Heel gezellig restaurant lieve mensen komen er al jaren eten is heel goed je krijgt genoeg fijn dat ze een keuze menu hebben met vlees vis of vegetarisch en je er dingen apart bij kan bestellen, voor mij is dat echt fijn kan ik gewoon bestellen wat ik wil en heb dan nog ruimte voor een lekker toetje (ijs met witte bol chocolade en daar gaat warme chocolade overheen ) echt zo lekker.

Reservamos una mesa para dos en una noche de sábado. Llegué a un restaurante ruidoso y estaba sentado justo al lado de la entrada. Tardó más de 15 minutos en recibir menús y el mismo tiempo de nuevo antes de que se tomaran los pedidos. Aconsejé a nuestro servidor sobre una alergia que tuve dos veces (en holandés y en inglés). Eventualmente llegó comida con alérgeno que consumí y sentí los efectos casi inmediatamente y me puse mal. Huelga decir que la experiencia se estropeó. El servidor se disculpó, pero no parecía reconocer la gravedad del error. Estos problemas aparte de la comida estaba bien, pero no muy auténtico. El servicio fue muy lento.

Reservatie gemaakt voor mijn verjaardag. Was echt verzorgd, lekker gegeten en allemaal in orde. Ik eet zelf vegetarisch en er was een ruim aanbod aan originele gerechten. Ik kom hier zeker nog terug!

In terms of food it is a really good restaurant! Instead of a dish where you get all kinds of mess on your plate that you don't want, you have a choice here. If you have a delicious bifteki, you can choose between rice or fries or nothing. Make it as crazy as you want. Everything went well! Choosing desserts was difficult because everything seemed super tasty! But I do have a tip for the service: if you see empty glasses and want to earn money, you should ask if they want something to drink. You may often get a 'no', but you earn from the people who do say 'yes'. Furthermore, everyone is super friendly.

A labyrinth of offerings here in the mythical Knossos. And of course with such a name, I had to have the beef 👌 This is a treasure in Den Haag as among the beauty it is a special place in itself. The staff were very friendly and the food selection was varied to suit many. I choose the beef tacos and some Greek style fries. Everything was delicious and well presented. After I was tempted to try the Baklawas and of course a Greek Coffee to finish. A definite must visit if you discover yourself searching for something special.

Reserved a spot inside more than a week ago, so as not to have to sit among the smoking guests on the covered outdoor terrace. Upon arrival we were offered a place on the covered terrace, but there turned out to be no room for our reservation inside… Our reservation was expressly indicated, but unfortunately it was ignored. Bad service... never come here again!

Food was delicious ! 🤤 we ordered mixed grill which was delicious . We also took tzatziki, greek salade and fries. Meat could be little bit less salty but I would still visit this place again ! Stuff it’s also very nice and friendly 🫶🏼

Deze plek is niet aan te raden op zaterdagavond. Heel erg druk en keiharde muziek. Door die harde muziek konden wij elkaar nauwelijks verstaan.

Delicious food and friendly service. The mixed grill and the Tzaziki were super tasty and you get quite a lot. The fries were also very good.

Mousska era perfecto, parrilla mixta para el Sr. H y su amigo eran muy buenos, un poco defraudado en que el Sr. H pensó que podría haber tenido un poco más de verduras, pero el estándar de la carne y la cocina era muy bueno. Mis brochetas de pollo también estaban un poco faltantes simplemente porque pensaba que eran pequeñas y poco condimentadas y la salsa de chile dulce era demasiado pegajosa dulce para mí. Pero en general muy fresco, bien cocinado y un excelente servicio

Amazing place, polite people and pure asty Greek food. Highly recommended for both lunch and dinner

This place is very VERY understaffed. We had a reservation but when we came in, they did not have an available table. We had to wait around some time and they just made the table in front of the door for us. They are very understaffed, for a restaurant with indoor, closed and open terras, they have very few waiters. You can see all the time the waiters running around trying to keep up with the orders. And of course they cannot, physically. We ordered some food and some starter bites (tatziki and pita) together with the main course so that we can start eating until the main course comes. Asked 2 times to waitress about our starters and she responded rudely both times (most probably she was overwhelmed as well) that she will bring it once it is ready. And justifying it that the pitas are freshly made that is why it is late. The tables around us were also pissed off due to orders being late. Long story short, our orders: starters and main course both came at the same time, after 45-50 mins. Maybe that is their practice to bring everything together. Food was okay, nothing special, it was average. Mixed grill plate lacked a little bit flavor. Moussaka was nice. Pita bread was good. Overall atmosphere was not good at all, the place is so noisy and waiters running around, you feel like you are in the middle of a race.

This restaurant really has everything! Extremely delicious food, top service and in a beautiful building with an attractive interior. It is a family restaurant where mother, daughter and granddaughter, together with grandson and father, create a super cozy atmosphere. You immediately feel at home! It is not without reason that we have been eating here for 24 years. Last night we celebrated my father-in-law's birthday here. He was 95 years old. It was a fantastic evening because of the hospitality, top service and incredibly delicious food. Extra guests arrived unexpectedly and that was no problem at all.

Had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal. A real family restaurant with mother and daughter in charge. Pleasantly busy, but that does not come at the expense of speed.

Food was absolutely amazing, as I was living 7 years in Greece my expectations regarding Greek food are high and the restaurant didn't disappoint me. Saganaki,Kolokithokeftedes, Dolmades and everything else was perfect. There were just some small issues, we waited a lot for the food (as restaurant was fully booked that was expected) and that they have only Mytos beer (the worst Greek beer). Also it would be nice when you are in Greek restaurant to have Greek music.

My girlfriend and I went for lunch at this apparently empty and closed place. At the entrance they welcomed us and we chose the table. From the menu we chose a club sandwich and chicken soup. The chicken soup tasted bad and sour, definitely not recommended. I really liked the club sandwich, I was surprised by the curry mayonnaise and it was served with some much appreciated chips. As I finished eating the chips I found a small piece of sharp plastic, I think it was the residue of some packaging. I pointed this out to the owner who apologised. We also ordered some french fries which came with a homemade mayonnaise, which was recommended. At the end we paid the bill, in cash and were asked if we wanted to receive the change, to which we said yes. We expected some sort of apology for the piece of plastic found, but instead they implicitly even asked for a tip. I appreciated the club sandwich but the rest, between pieces of plastic, unpleasant soup and further demands, we do not recommend this place

Always delicious food. Lots of choice in dishes. The service is always very friendly and pleasant! I've been coming here for years and Knossos feels a bit like family to me!

Very nice family Greek restaurant. The grilled plate we've ordered, all the meat was soft and tasty. Fried mussels are delicious and the sauce the dish is accompanied with is very nice. For dessert we've ordered Chocolate Fantasia: a truly fantastic dessert for chocolate lovers! It was a nice evening and a nice date. Thanks a lot! P.S. 1.5 years later, this is my favorite restaurant in Den Haag. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. We like to visit it again and again. It's never a miss.

The Greek restaurant Knossos is located in a beautiful building in the heart of The Hague. In the summer you can sit on the spacious terrace, in the winter you can sit cozy and warm inside. The restaurant is run by a Greek family, including grandmother, daughter and granddaughter walking around diligently, making everyone happy. The welcome is always warm and friendly and because I have been coming there for a long time, they know what I drink. I've only just sat down and my glass of rosé is already on the table! The menu is very extensive and offers something for everyone, you have a wide choice of meat and vegetarian dishes. You never have to wait long and the food never disappoints. Excellent food. Friendly and hospitable service. I was able to eat gluten-free myself, and they also thought along with me about what was and was not possible. Top.

Let me start with the positives. The food was really nice. The meat delivered. So if you want a good place for greek meat, this is a good adress to visit. Here are the negatives unfortunately: (Do consider it was really packed, but it should not have been an excuse.) When it was ready to sit down, it took quite a while before someone came over to order. After we placed our food and drinks order the waiting game began. Our drinks came swiftly, but our starters took quite a while. No problem, it was really busy. After a wait 4 out of 5 got our starters. The fifth one was "on his way". After a 15 minutes, we asked a staff member if they could check. After checking we got our 5th starter after 2 minutes. Weird. Starters were done. We started to order a second round of drinks. But after a good 15 minutes, we started to wonder where our drinks were. So again, we asked. We found out it didnt go through somehow. Can happen. After another good wait we got our mains. All except one, again. But this time our fifth only waited 10 minutes. Do note that our mixed grill platter meat was tasty, but really cold. After the mains we went to order 2 more drink. Again, waiting long and not getting them. Ask someone in the staff and eventually 2 minutes later we got our two drinks. They ask us if we wanted some desserts, but we did not want to sit any longer than we already did. The service was not to our liking, as well as the waiting time and communication towards us. We did not leave a tip (first time in a very long while).

I have been coming to Knossos for years and always receive a warm welcome. The food has never disappointed, enough variety on the menu so there is plenty of choice for everyone. A beautiful terrace and a beautiful interior space.

If you're used to German Greeks, you'll probably find it here. disappointed. If you order two souflaki skewers, you only get two (small) skewers for €14.50 and you also have to order a side dish (e.g. fries for €5). No salad on the plate, no tomato rice or anything like that. The taste was okay, but nothing special either. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio was a bit disappointing for me. (as of 8/29/24)

Yesterday we had dinner with the two of us, what a disappointment. Carpaccio on bread. Received a dry toasted sandwich with iceberg lettuce with the stumps in between and very little meat... I said and showed something about this. One girl said: oh! And walked away... when paying, a lady asked: and did you enjoy it? I said: look at all the stumps and no, not nice with such a dry sandwich underneath. Then she said: Don't you like to be upset? Then I was done with it... I often hear negative reactions about this case. Experience it yourself now! Never come there again. How rude to do that! Instead of looking and saying: yes, you are right, this is in no way tasteful and this is not how you present it! Never again!

Thought I would eat a delicious sandwich here with a dear friend. A slice of casino bread that turned into muck under the toppings... Lettuce with the bottom stalks still in it. No, not anymore.

The food was very tasty. The service was very good. It took a very long time before we got our drinks and food. The dishes are without attachment, I found out too late, so no salad or rice/fries, order these separately. We got there at 6:30 PM and didn't get dessert until 9:15 PM. Moreover, we were not served all the drinks, and picking them up at the bar ourselves was not an option. 2 people fell because of the step, the owner was not very impressed. It was also quite busy so it was very noisy and there was no music or it couldn't be heard.

This Greek restaurant in the city center is a true gem! The food is delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The charming terrace is perfect for a relaxed meal, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for such a prime location. Highly recommended!

I was there on May 25, 2024 in the afternoon with a companion. Unfortunately, the reception was very cold and gave us a rude impression. The menu is rather small, but that doesn't have to be a disadvantage. I had a Gyros Pan and my companion had a Mousaka. The food was OK, but not great. The portion size is large, but I would have liked a larger portion of meat. The side dishes have to be ordered and paid for separately, which means the prices for a main course are too high for me. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Modern location with large outdoor area. Friendly staff and nice boss! This was one of the best Greek platters I've ever eaten! Such delicious, juicy and properly seasoned meat! The fries were also a dream. I can really recommend it to everyone!

Visited here for the first time after seven years. Seven years ago, the food was delicious and the service and atmosphere great. Unfortunately, everything is now overpriced. No ouzo offered when you arrive, fries and salad are side dishes that you need to order because the main dishes are not big enough. Food was also meh. I didn't enjoy it that much. The worst thing I found however was that the owner was gossiping about a guest while we were sitting there. I could hear her talking about one of her guests and that something was off about him. In addition, a couple sat at a table near ours and she suddenly pointed at a different table telling them to go there, without words. Mind you, the restaurant was almost empty. This was the strangest experience in a restaurant. Honestly I was very disappointed and will not come back again. Nothing against the servers by the way, they were very friendly and I am sorry they have to work for someone like this. She is extremely unprofessional and rude. Shame on her.

Nicely decorated, staff is okay, owner is grumpy and the food is on the expensive side. Ordered 2 mix grill menus, you don't get rice/fries. What you get as standard at other restaurants (fries, tzatiki) you have to pay extra for. The meat was on the salty side. Certainly not worth repeating.

Another delicious authentic Greek meal at Knossos. Nice menu, wonderfully spiced dishes, very different from the average Greek restaurant in the Netherlands. If I am in The Hague again, I would like to go here again. Knowledgeable and friendly service.

For dozens of years this used to be my favorite Greek restaurant in The Hague, but this time I was disappointed. The welcome Ouzo wasn’t offered any more and prices had gone up, while you now have to pay extra for very expensive side dishes like salad, rice, chips and tzatziki that used to be included in the menu. When I asked the waitress why the menu was downsized, she told me that there used to be a lot of waste and food thrown out. Fair enough, but than the price off just the meat on the plate should have gone down, not up. The food is still great. But in the past this used to be a family restaurant with the female owner walking around enquiring about your comfort and the quality of the food. Not any more, now it has become another place for maximizing profits. So, after thirty years of loyal visits, I am now saying goodbye.

The food and service is still good enough, But the restaurant has changed from a family run cosy restaurant where you were felt welcome to a commercial enterprise, with a main goal of making as much profit as possible. So, after more than thirty years of regular visits, I will now sadly be looking for an alternative.

We ate here for the first time yesterday, we didn't expect much, but it was so delicious! Very nice varied menu, something for everyone! As a starter we had: Popcorn shrimps, Calamaris and beef tacos, highly recommended! The cocktails are also freshly made for the enthusiast. We will definitely visit more often!

Samen met mijn dochter van 10 jaar een hapje gegeten. Reviews waren nogal wisselend, maar wij zijn super enthousiast! Meer dan vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk gegeten. Ook werd er goed meegedacht qua hoeveelheid en gerecht voor mijn dochter. We zaten dicht bij de keuken en dan is de interactie tussen het personeel goed te volgen. Deze mensen werken keihard en lopen de zolen onder hun schoenen weg om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Aanrader in hartje Den Haag!

Tzatziki, meats, fries very tasty, greek salad was best they could do in Netherlands (vegetables weren't that great). There is no feel of greek in there, still a very nice place.

Highly recommended Greek restaurant in the center of the Hague, absolutely love the terrace area which makes it extra cosy, not too loud and noisy as it was divided with glass (so it is rainproof!!!) and kinda romantic in the evening. The chicken skewers and fries with truffle mayonaise were fantastic 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 Wonderful place, lovely food and fast, friendly quality service ✨ an extra star for Ohm.

Don't waste your time and choose another restaurant. The staff did their best so I definitely don't want to complain about that. It seems like the owner cares more about the money than the quality of his restaurant. For €23,- you get a small pan with some chicken and vegetables that have clearly been prepared in the afternoon in large containers and are currently quickly heated and poured into a pan. You don't get any bread or rice with it, so it's not even a full-fledged dish. The Greek fries are also a scam. Some potatoes with some cheese on top, no sauce or anything. We are very disappointed even though we normally really like Greek food.

Food is always good, and they prepare so fast. Lamb chops are great, lambshank is my go to (Arn me). The Staff is also super lovely. And I do recommend to get a couple of beef taco plates because one plate is never enough 😋 Highly recommend the place.

Great Greek restaurant in The Hague! We got a table here without a reservation. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! The Artemis grill plate was great! The prices are fair! My tip: The portions of the side dishes are large. You can share fries and tzatziki between two people.

Knossos is quite a good (not very good, but more than average) Greek restaurant in the very city center of The Hague. We went there on a Friday night and it was fully packed, luckily we had a reservation. The ambiance is rather modern and does not have that many cliche / stereotypical Greeks restaurants features, however, you lose some home feeling (you can’t have everything). The menu is ample enough and most of the dishes are well served and presented. However, some dishes were below the par or the cook wanted to do too much with a food style that doesn’t always require it. The best example were the classic Greek salad which was a bit soggy and the moussaka, which was average at best. Nevertheless I enjoyed I ate

Also das Ambiente ist echt schön und die Bedienung ist nett. Das wichtigste beim Essen gehen ist nunmal das Essen!! Wer Hunger hat sollte das Restaurant definitiv meiden. Die Portionen sind unterirdisch.....hier kocht definitiv nicht die alte griechische Küche!!Ein möchtegern modernes kocherlebinis mit minimalen Aufwand!!!Gibt es aufjedenfall bessere Restaurants in den Haag!! Für die geforderten Preise ist dies wirklich eine Frechheit!!

We were guests at the Knossos restaurant with 4 people on February 7th, 2024. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. The food was good, although a little weakly seasoned. However, the only drawback: the main courses were very limited in quantity and could be compared to a starter and side dishes had to be ordered separately.

Delicious food and beautiful restaurant!

Tonight we had dinner for the fourth time with our adult son and wife. Starter and main course per person and three bottles of wine. Bill €215. While eating I reported that the mussels were limp and full of sand. My wife could order a new portion if she wanted. She did not want that, so the complaint was dismissed. We will never visit this Greek demolition again. Its better in town.

It's not the average "Dutch" Greek restaurant, meaning that there's more original taste, more quality on the menu and really things to discover. I loved the lamb stew, I also discovered that the sweet Geek wine is not for me. I could not try more, will have to do that later. I'd like to try again!

We discovered this restaurant by chance and since it was lunchtime, we got a table. The selection of food and drinks is very good and the service is very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it very much and we will definitely come back! It can get crowded in the evenings, so a reservation would be a good idea.
