Friendly Turkish man and a delicious Turkish pizza to take home! He also sells many other things like pistachios and yogurt drinks! This place is very convenient and nice!

We got 25 euros worth of food here, and both of us (my wife and I) had diarrhea. We ate nothing else that day but this. We also had diarrhea multiple times. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill very badly since the new owner(s) took over. Before this, we never had problems with the food, but since there are new people here... It's a shame; we will never get food here again. We aren't the only ones either; several friends of ours have had the same experience since the new owners took over.

The food was good, but the price has increased by 50% since the new owner. I find that quite expensive, which is a shame.

I have been coming to Gulcan Bakery for about 9 years and have always been a satisfied customer. Recently, the previous owners left, and I met the new owners. He is a very sweet man who clearly does his best for the customers. Since the takeover, many new items have been added to the assortment, which makes coming here even more enjoyable. The Turkish pizzas have become even tastier than before. The portions on my sandwiches are also very good: I get a thin roll that is very well filled with tender meat, which really makes me feel full. In addition, the quality of the shop has visibly improved. Everything looks better presented, and the products taste excellent. I will continue to come here with pleasure and definitely recommend this bakery.

I ordered a kapsalon; firstly, it took a very long time and was well-filled, but it was truly inedible. The spices and salt they put on the fries were really disgusting.

Nothing but good things to say about this Turkish bakery (with a small supermarket), which was recently taken over by a new owner. I knew that the previous owner was a couple where the husband did all the baking himself and the wife helped the customers, so after a takeover, it is always a matter of waiting to see if the quality and service remain the same. But that is absolutely the case here. Also nice: The assortment has remained the same, so all the bread from before is still being sold. What a delicious kapsalon! Crispy fries, well-seasoned, generous portions of meat, and lots of vegetables. The sauce was tasty and clearly labeled. The portion was also very generous (a hefty "head" on the container) and all that for just €10, which is really good. I had ordered by phone and it was ready exactly after the agreed 10 minutes when I arrived. In addition, I was helped in a friendly manner and was even offered a cup of coffee. Very hospitable. My compliments to this establishment. It is always good to support a local entrepreneur, and here you also get great quality for a fair price.

Wow, what delicious sandwiches! Really well-filled and bursting with flavor. Since the new owner took over, this place has really improved enormously. Everything is fresher, tastier, and of much higher quality. Moreover, the owner is incredibly friendly, respectful, and takes really good care of his customers. You feel welcome here immediately! I am really happy that he is here and I recommend this place to everyone; you really have to try it for yourself!

It used to be very tasty, but now after the takeover, there is less meat on the bread and the bread is thicker. As a result, you don't feel full after a sandwich anymore. We were always regular customers for Gulcan with the weekly company lunch for 12 people, but we are considering switching anyway. We are giving it two more chances and hoping for improvement.

Ever since the new owners stepped in, the breads have less meat and vegetables. Which is sad because they used to be stuffed well. I hope they improve on that.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and now that I'm in college, this place is still just as good and delicious. Not only because of the nostalgia, but also because of the customer service and freshness of the food. The staff/family who work here are incredibly friendly and always work with love and passion. If you live or are in Leiden, you have to go.

Today I got the kapsalon here again; best in Leiden! Went here for the first time a few years ago because it was the closest. Nowadays we live a bit further away, with other bakers closer, but I always prefer to cycle a bit further to get here:-) Good and tasty meat, fries are also well fried and also attention to the lettuce on it; nice variation of lettuce, sliced ​​cabbage, peppers, onion etc. makes it complete! The other products are also very good. And friendly people :-)

The best turkish dishes seller, i often buy durum doner and baklava here. The doner are more spicious (compared to other 4 shops that i visited) and the baklava are not too sweet. Nice owner too. Halal food. Recommended
