A wonderful evening at Gustavino — one of those nights that reminds you why Amsterdam is such a great city for dining. We had a relaxed and very enjoyable dinner with good company, and everything about the experience was spot on. The food was excellent — the Lasagna and Pizza Bianca were both beautifully done, and the Pane e olio was a lovely touch to start. The wine list is impressive; the Franciacorta and Primitivo were both great choices and well recommended. The Espresso Martinis and Sgroppino rounded off the evening perfectly — hard to fault any of it. A special mention to Sophie, who looked after us all evening with warmth, attentiveness and a lovely manner. She made the night feel effortless. Thank you Sophie! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

A very nice experience, next time we’re in Amsterdam, we will for sure visit again. Delicious food, very good wine and very nice service! What a lovely evening we had here! 🤩 The truffle pasta was really *so* delicious, just the right flavor and wonderfully creamy. And the pizzas… truly top-notch! Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, just the way it should be 🍕 But what made it even better was the atmosphere. Gaston and Odilia are super hospitable and make sure you feel at ease right away. You can really tell they do this with passion. We will definitely be coming back here again; what a great spot in the Zuidas, you have to go here for the pizza!

We had dinner here for a sisters' night. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, exactly what you want for an evening together. The service was good and attentive, without being intrusive, which made it even nicer. And the food… really delicious. During a three-hour layover in Amsterdam South on our way to Ostend, we met a very nice lady who served us. And the restaurant, of course. Of course, I ordered a much-too-large pizza, and best of all, I ordered a sgroppino a tavola. It turned out to be a delicious variation on a coupe colonel, perfectly prepared at the table! Absolutely worth it, though it's a bit far to come back next week. But we'll definitely remember this place. Greetings from Ostend

We're on vacation in Amsterdam visiting my son, who works at Gustavino, and we decided to surprise him with a meal there. What can I say? We immediately noticed a festive and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, and the ingredients were excellent, enhanced by the experience of those who truly love cooking.

Excellent restaurant with an Italian twist, suitable for medium-sized groups. A bit pricey, though. A special recommendation: Sgroppino, which is lovingly prepared tableside.

Lured by the promise of delicious Italian food and matching wines. The welcome was cool, the service friendly. The tablecloth was already dirty before we were seated. Remarkable. We opted for Pinot Grigio, and it was delicious. The trofie we ordered (a type of pasta from Liguria) was a disappointment. First, the plates were thrown on the table instead of being elegantly presented. Never experienced anything like it. A sort of Hans Klok act! Then the plate itself: soaking wet, watery, tasteless. Loose ingredients with no cohesion. To make it all worthwhile, we asked for Parmesan cheese. It arrived in a very small container. The café affogato was nicely presented. That was fine. Later that evening, the wait staff left, we received no further attention, and we even had to struggle to pay our bill. Conclusion: Disappointing on many levels.

Good atmosphere but the service took a bit of time to ask for our order but everything else was excellent!

Catastrophic! An hour to be served (4 pizzas and 4 plates of pasta)... and that's not even exceptional!!!

For a business lunch, the atmosphere is pleasant, but the food is nothing special. The entrances are overpriced. The waiter offered bread and olives as an entrée, which we accepted. When we receive the bill, 3 slices of bread are coated at 7 euros, the olives are 5 euros, and some nuts are an additional 5 euros. Also, water costs 7 euros.

We came to this so-called “Italian” restaurant for a birthday, and I can guarantee you that I will never step foot in there again. We arrived at 7:30 PM and left at 10:00 PM — hungry and angry. Our order was taken after 30 minutes, and the starters arrived an hour later, but mine was missing, so I had to wait and eat after everyone else. Then we waited another hour for the main course, and my dish was wrong again. When I asked the manager to change it, he replied with a “funny” joke that was completely unnecessary. When my dish finally arrived, it came without the side I had specifically requested to go with the meat. I never received the side dish, and when I asked the manager again, he answered with another one of his so-called jokes. In the end, I left the restaurant still hungry and deeply offended by the manager’s unprofessional and unpleasant behavior. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay the bill. This place is nowhere near an authentic Italian restaurant. Food and hospitality should be their priorities, but the manager is too busy doing the comedian and can’t handle a table of 4 people on Tuesday. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Gustavino claims to be an Italian owner near Amsterdam station south. So south As. We had made a reservation for a Wednesday 18-6-25, and walked into a virtually empty restaurant while the other businesses in the area were busy. Usually that is not a good sign, if the locals are not queuing. The atmosphere was businesslike and cool. We ordered an antipasti, a vegetarian version and a meat version. A glass of chardonnay. Starter and 3 main courses. Nicely presented but not special was the verdict on the antipasti, which disappeared with 2 or 3 bites. A pasta starter with courgette hidden somewhere, but I could not find it, and completely soggy and tasteless. Melanzane was downright bad. Looked like a schnitzel, quite hard, and by far one of the worst I have ever eaten. Eggplant was not present as a flavoring, and a lot of breadcrumbs. You hope for parmesan cheese or mozzarella or tomato or garlic. None of these things were found in this tough shoe sole. Caramel ice cream was good but you get that from a carton. The price for all this was 230€. Zuid As. But not worth repeating since there are quite a few nice places on the Zuidas with friendly service and good food.

Satisfied.The waiters were very polite and the atmosphere relaxing .I ordered 2glasses of red wine ,tagliatella al ragu and tiramisu.The tagliatelle al Ragu seems like spaghetti bolognaise and tiramisu was not the most impressive but I can’t complaint the overall experience was very pleasant .The prices were ok if we take in consideration the location and service.

Bad service and scam. It took +/- 10 minutes before we were even asked for a drink. Anti pasta scam, for 5 people 1 plank the size of a dinner plate with a tartate the size of the base of a wine glass, paid €100 for this. Retarded. Only at the end of the main course was another drink asked, not out of spontaneity. Not worthy of a single star. If you are looking for fun, I would look further.

The food wasn't really amazing, the the atmosphere and the staff compensate it.

A simply perfect experience. The place immediately strikes you with its warm atmosphere and attention to detail, but it is once you are seated that the real show begins. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the beef fillet: impeccably cooked, very tender when cut and tasty in every bite. Such well-treated meat is rare to find, and here it was enhanced by a light sauce that did not cover, but enhanced the full flavor of the fillet. A special applause also goes to the service, in particular to the girl who took care of our table: kind, smiling and professional. Always present but never intrusive, she was able to make the experience even more pleasant with spot-on advice and sincere attention. I will definitely be back.

The food is good but the service is not very efficient, if you go at lunchtime you need at least one hour and a half.

An absolute show load with no substance. Tiramisu frozen with glasses...service card the menu not correct. So it's optics and being seen instead of quality when it comes to food.

Mientras que la acústica fue desafiada por un grupo particularmente animado, el personal manejó esto profesionalmente y con cortesía. Muy recomendable!

Had a really great dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was quiet, although not empty. Service was a tiny slow with the pizza, but the starter arrived really fast and it was quite good arancini (I'm Italian and I was positively impressed). For the pizza (Diavola & Margherita), yes it was not perfect, but also not bad at all. Lovely cocktails, amazing double chocolate cake and general ambience. Plus, we stayed chatting till almost 23 and were not kicked out, which can happen in other places in the city. Would definitely recommend for a pleasant evening and nice food.

The menu may be that of an Italian restaurant, but the quality is definitely not. It took them more than an hour to serve a carpaccio and a bruschetta... both "raw", so why make us wait so long? Not bad, but still mediocre, considering the price. The pizzas were terrible. Can you ever call a pizza “Burrata” and not put burrata on it? And don't tell me that that white water placed so randomly on top is butter because I really feel cheated. You can also tell me "eh but it's a touch of class": no, it's not. The environment is classy (even if too noisy, it was impossible to communicate without raising your voice, hence the 3 stars), the food is not, and it's a great shame. The staff is really kind and professional, impeccable. I gave 3 stars and not 1 to the service only for the dining room staff. Having said that, I'm sorry, but there are other "Italian" restaurants here in Amsterdam that are definitely more worth it.

Me animé con un tiramisú que era cremoso, fresco y bueno, aunque carecía de riqueza.

I had made a reservation for 8 people a week ago (work lunch). Getting there, we are first told that we must sit outside, despite the fact that it's a very warm day. I insist that we want to sit inside (the restaurant is basically empty inside), and eventually they let us sit inside but I had to insist. Once we are sitting, I am told that for 8 people they can only serve the executive menu, we can't order a la carte. I complained, as this was never communicated to me when I made the reservation. (I could not find the information on the website, I looked it up just now.) So we were basically cornered into ordering the menu. I said we were all vegetarians, and at least this could be accommodated. The food was ok but not great, service not very smooth, and in the end we paid 35 pp for a starter and a main course, which was really overpriced given what we got.

What a pity that the restaurant has to continously delete reviews and still have low rating! This restaurant has the worst service you could possibly imagine. I went here to grab dinner with two friends on a weekday. Food was unimpressive and not worth the cost. We were ready to leave and I asked one of the servers if we can get our coats back. He did not make any facial expression or nod and continued strutting towards us. I assumed that he didn't hear me and asked again, then he started bitching at me. "I have ears, I can hear you. Stop asking for the same thing twice." Afterwards he continued giving attitude when we were paying for our food. I asked him to split the bill. Then he started yelling at us on why we have to split the bill. I asked if he has never split the bill for other customers and he said that he never had to do this (LOL) and threw mints with the receipt. He kept aggressively yelling that he's not that old, although none of us were showing any emotion to prevent further violence from him. This was a horrendous service and experience. I hope others don't waste your own money being treated like this.

The Zuidas atmosphere is not my atmosphere, but here it was ok. The service from the ladies and young gentleman was fine, but the older gentleman showed little respect. The food was good venison. But the lemon cheesecake was frozen in the middle. Please put it in the refrigerator a little earlier.

Fantastische Apero Bar bei der zum Aperol noch ein halbes Menü dazukommt plus ist der Service sehr nett plus die Sicht aufs Meer und die Musik sehr attraktiv. Höchste Empfehlung!

Food was good, but a white wine Pinot at 9.50 per glass was a bit of a shock for a wine that was not selected. It was my son's birthday so I let it go but I won't be back for this reason.
