Fast, good portion, and fresh homemade fries.

Ordered chicken and regular gyros dishes. And I got the same. The frying oil is old, you can taste it in the fries. Not worth repeating. Kapsalon is overrated. Pita gyros was okay.

The website is not working; the site indicates that you should call. When you call, you are told to order via the site. Eventually, they just hung up…

Ordered food via their own website; after waiting an hour, still no food. Then called the phone number several times but no one answered... a bit disappointing!

Scoundrels, never order here! If you call you get an answering machine saying we are too busy! The order was supposed to have been delivered but nothing was delivered. After 1.5 hours it was delivered to my home, I contacted them and got my money back. After 2 hours someone called asking “HEY MADAM do you still want your order?” What a company, they really ruined my evening!

Delicious food! The gyros and the souvlaki were really tasty! The garlic sauce was delicious and homemade, and the chachiki was super!

I called 5 times because something was forgotten with the order. I called quickly but they didn't answer because they were busy. Very disappointing.

This kapsalon is the best of the best. If you are hungry in Alkmaar this is the place to be! I always come here and it's tasty every time.

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd and delivered within half an hour. My brother and I both ordered the Club Gyros and it certainly met our expectations. It offered good value for money and we are very satisfied; we had a delicious meal! Definitely worth repeating.

first order from them, the chicken was burnt, I didn't ask for a refund, the second time the chicken was undercooked, the third time I tried to order, they keep canceling my orders, I think this is the reason why they cancel my orders, why do I have to wait 5 days for my money, because they can't honor online orders, I don't recommend

Delicious food. I often go there with a good friend; they're usually very sweet people. They sometimes even give us a Coke on the house. Although the place might not look very inviting, the food certainly is. The pita gyros is highly recommended, and the pita gyros with chicken is my personal favorite. Delicious.

Delicious pita gyros! Despite the Dutch weather, they took me right back to Parga and Dimitsana, Greece.

Very poorly organized, everything is extremely dissatisfied. If you've ever eaten there, you know they can cook well!! Truly fantastic!! But when it comes to ordering, delivery, and/or calling... don't even bother, because this is beyond all frustration!!! Trying to order properly online because we don't want to work through Thuisbezorgt due to the restaurant's rates. Not everything works in English/Dutch (as if a Polish or Russian person created the site). Then, after finding everything, entering an address won't allow you to order because the system indicates you haven't added a delivery address or delivery option... Crossing out the entire site, nothing... It turns out you can call them, but they don't answer the phone. So, this won't work for me anymore... Look, if you don't have delivery staff, just say so instead of this nonsense... I personally think you shouldn't be allowed to call yourself a company in that case.

I've been ordering pita gyros from here for months now, and I love them! Always delivered quickly. I had an incorrect delivery once, but it was resolved quickly!

Ordered gyros from here yesterday. I got the kapsalon gyros XL. The only thing on the kapsalon was fries and gyros. No salad or anything like what was advertised on the website. I've already had to use the restroom twice. Not recommended.

I didn't receive the extra items I ordered. They're unreachable. The phone recording is unreachable. There's no email on the website. I'll call again tomorrow.

Wow, we enjoyed this delicious Greek food 🥰😋 Yum yum yum. We all had a Gyros pita and then we had a Greek Farmer's Salad and a Pita with Tzatziki and of course a delicious Frappe and I had a shot of Ouzo. To really top it off. Yes, these lovely people and cozy eatery get all the stars you can give from the three of us!

Too bad! We thought we were ordering delicious bifteki. The site says it contains feta, but there really wasn't any. We also thought we would get fries with a dish, but that wasn't there either. Really too bad!

Very frugal portions for a lot of money. In addition, they forget half of it and then react very unreasonably on the phone. If you treat your customers like this, karma will come around the corner, friend.

Never order there again it was very bad meat stinks instead of tzatziki they just had mayo on it, fries were not even from the fryer but just on the pan, the whole thing went straight into the trash instead of in the stomach NEVER ORDER THERE AGAIN!!!!

Ordered 2x pita chicken gyros last Friday. The chicken was not cooked properly and the pita was very chewy. Gyrosstraat didn't answer, I tried calling again a few times yesterday and then I decided to contact Thuisbezorgd. They did have contact with Gyrosstraat. The conclusion was that Gyrosstraat could mean nothing and could not think along with me. Pretty bad of the company if you order food for more than €20. Deeply disappointed in Gyrosstraat. I certainly don't advise against ordering here, but I hope that Gyrosstraat will work on this, from now on I will be more likely to get a sandwich from them instead of ordering online.

Food is tasty, however, when I arrive at 8:15 PM I am turned away because they are “closed”. This guy turns away several people, even though it says online that it was open until 9:00 PM. Please speak to this boy about closing early or adjusting the opening hours, because I have sometimes stood in front of closed doors when the business should be open. My favorite Greek food, but it's always 50/50 whether the place is open.

Subject: Complaint about order and customer treatment Dear owner, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience with my order with you. On September 6, 2024 I ordered more than €28, including 2x chicken gyros and 2x garlic tray. However, one chicken gyro and both garlic containers were missing upon delivery. I immediately called to ask if I could still receive the missing items. It was initially indicated that there was only 1 chicken gyros on the receipt, but after explanation from my side it was confirmed that I was right and that the chicken gyros was gone. It was suggested that I send a chicken thigh fillet gyros sandwich as a replacement, which I accepted. When the sandwich arrived it was in very poor condition: the inside and outside were literally wet, there were only two small pieces of chicken inside, along with large chunks of tomato and a few fries. This was definitely not what I expected, especially for the amount I paid. I called again to express my dissatisfaction and requested a refund. This was promised, but when I asked for an order number to ensure that the amount would be transferred to the correct account number, the connection was disconnected. After calling back several times, during which communication was repeatedly cut off, a delivery person was finally sent to collect the sandwich. This delivery person confirmed that the amount would be refunded to the correct account number. To my surprise, the delivery person told me that the owner had decided to block me as a customer, under the guise that I would "always complain and whine," which is absolutely not true. I have only reported a minor error twice before and always politely sought a solution. The fact that the delivery person acknowledged that the delivered sandwich did not meet the expected standard confirmed for me that my complaint is justified. This entire experience was disappointing and certainly not what I expected from a service for which I pay over €28. A Greek takeaway was exactly what we needed (again) in Alkmaar. The food is always tasty and always fast.

The best gyros in North Holland

Ordered Mixed Grill and delivery was fine and on time, but that's about all. When ordering digitally you are asked if you want 'extra' fries, but you get rice.... Vegetables were odorless and tasteless and that also applied to the over-cooked rice. In terms of taste, the Mixed Grill was monotonous, all types of meat had the same bland taste, with the tzatziki not being a solution. Finally I tried to season 'the whole lot' somewhat with my own Yildriz garlic sauce from the supermarket. Price/quality is completely out of proportion and I will therefore no longer order food here. Too bad, missed opportunity.

Sometimes a bit unpredictable in terms of delivery, but the food is delicious!

If you are going to make a traditional gyros and want to be different from the shawarma, make real tzatziki with thick Greek yogurt and no mayonnaise and also add more than two small pieces of tomato. If customers like us want a real gyros, we will pay a little more for the real dish. I expected more.

Delicious chicken gyros, just like you eat in Greece. I usually eat on site. When the weather is nice you can sit outside the door. Cozy tent and friendly staff.

It was delivered more than half an hour earlier without any consultation. They were lucky we were home. Despite this, the food was not warm, the chicken thigh satay was even cold. Fries were limp, pitas were extremely stiff and chewy. Instead of rice and farmer's salad, I asked for extra fries and gyros and tsatchiki sauce. We had some fries and 3 containers of tchachiki sauce. So the relationship was completely illogical.

I ordered 3 pita gyros, a loose pita, loose gyros and tzatziki. Delivered on time, very friendly delivery person. The food was really 10/10!! Pita, YUM!! Meat, YUM!! Tzatziki: YUM!! Thank you for the delicious food. Will be ordering again soon!

Just takes ONE HOUR longer than stated. And then you still don't have it. If you call to ask how long it will take... you get a message saying they are too busy. Not alright.

We really DO NOT understand the 5 star reviews from some people! Very long waiting time, really cold fries. Tasteless food. The whole thing had a very sad appearance. Please believe the other people who give 1 star. Do not order here. Waste of our money.

Taste-wise fine. Only the fries are delivered cold. Owner says he can't do anything because it is too far away. Then why do you deliver there? On Thuisbezorgd you can't see where it comes from. Only that you deliver.

What a mockery. The food was delivered half an hour later than agreed and was lukewarm. Limp fries were thrown over the pita bread, the whole thing looked as if it had already been eaten, had not been eaten and had been eaten again. Little taste to the bifteki. The gyros also came with a lot of limp fries. Fries should be served separately and should be crispy, golden yellow. The gyros themselves tasted nice. Paid more than €46 for very bad food. Not for us anymore.

I've been ordering from here for months and this is the only Greek in the area that can make a good pita. Pita gyros really tastes like you're on Crete. Good meat, well seasoned and the right amounts of herbs and tzatziki. Best Greek around! Order the Pita Gyros. ENJOY! :)

What good and delicious food, stop for a tasty snack or to take away, but you can also have it delivered. TIP: the pita chicken gyros, what a delicious treat, but the Greek version of the hair salon is also highly recommended, enjoy it.

Yesterday I got dinner with my girlfriend and in the evening we vomited! The meat smelled, the work environment was very bad and unhygienic, not customer friendly at all! People don't get food there!

As a lover of Greek cuisine, I just ate 2 gyros sandwiches, but unfortunately not a good experience. Soggy and unappetizing pitta bread, fries were soggy because they were packed between the meat, onions and sauce. The meat was quite salty. Unfortunately, not a second time for us.

Keftedakia is really inedible. Looks like a very bad warm-up meal from Lidl. But that tastes even better. The rice... I have never had such disgusting Greek rice in my life... Very simple to make, do it regularly.... Fries crackle hard. Only the meat and the tzatziki were good.

Excellent food and delivered on time. Unfortunately I forgot the fries, but they were delivered shortly afterwards, even with a piece of baklava.

I don't quickly post a review but this restaurant is downright bad!!! Staff and boss extremely rude. We were very sick from eating here. We had telephone contact about this and the boss scolded us for things that made our jaws drop. I don't recommend anyone to eat here!

The meat was inedible and it seems to have come from a soup kitchen You cannot call about this, as no one speaks the Dutch language and if you call at a later time, as requested, a band has been set and they can no longer be reached. Thuisbezorgd.nl should remove this restaurant from the list. Very very bad both the food and the service

The very best gyros sandwich you can ever eat, this is really the place to be for gyros. Definitely go!

Fries limp and soggy (you pay extra for that too), bland rice, bland coleslaw, gyros was tasty but that was about it. We don't order here anymore.

Mixed grill is recommended. Really super tasty. Delivery was there in 30 minutes, so that's completely fine. You also get a decent amount of meat. So it will be more than worth your money. Everyone tastes different. So I will order from here much more often.

With an order, the delivery person did not receive a refund of 50 euros because I had not reported that I would pay 50 euros. As a result, I gave the delivery person the 50 euros and asked him if he could report that I had paid 30 euros too much. This was resolved within two orders, so thank you! We were on the beach and delivery time was ok. But the food itself was really inedible, Kapsalon was cold cheese was not melted, There will be all the grease in the container. I have never felt so bad the next day stomach pain was not normal. First and last time.

We order regularly and it is always hot, delicious meat and good delivery. Definitely recommended if you like Greek food.

We have already ordered something from this snack bar several times. The first two times it was ok. There were some things missing, but it was delivered very neatly. For what you get hmmm well price quality not fantastic. I thought let's order something “Greek” again. Wonderfully looking forward to it! Received an extremely friendly young man on the phone. I only ordered gyros and two LARGE TZAZIKI. unfortunately when the order finally came, the food was cold, the containers were not full and there were fries crushed in it. The containers were therefore half filled, probably to save costs. I have never experienced this. The three portions of gyros without the fries (which I had emphatically NOT asked for) could easily be put in 1 container and all this for almost €40. I also called to say that I was not satisfied and wanted my money back. A woman who spoke little Dutch answered the phone and eventually said ok, you will get your money back. However, no one came to pick up the food again. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING HERE!!
