Haley's Comet Breakfastclub in Wijk 22 Zeeheldenkwartier

We came to visit on Friday morning, unfortunately already then they didn’t have chicken tenders for the waffle meal that we wanted to order. The second meal we got was a bun with scrambled eggs, it had a hair in it, literally in the egg so it probably fell in while cooking. We showed it to the waitress and she got us a new one which was of course nice but I think it should’ve been taken off the check because it’s just unacceptable, while my partner ate I had to wait for my second portion and already lost appetite after seeing this hair in my food. Overall interesting concept but food wasn’t the best.

Excellent brunch spot in the Hague, right in a cute shopping street and central neighborhood. Go for the waffles n chicken, and a french toast. Coffee was perfect too, and service was friendly.

A tourist view- its my second time here My first was 2 years ago and it was a great place, so i visited again, but every server looks very tired and out. The food came very late.

Nice place to have lunch. A lot of options, both food and drink wise. Prices are OK. Food was good but not special.

I ordered the chicken & waffles and Came here for brunch and while the interior is nice, I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. I got the chicken and waffles and waited quite a while for the food to arrive after ordering. I’m not sure if they changed their waffles recently but the one I got looked very different from the other photos I’ve seen, it was just a limp eggo waffle drenched in barbeque sauce, and the fried chicken was not fried it was breaded and quite dry. It tasted and looked suspiciously similar to supermarket chicken tenders… it didn’t taste like a single thing on the plate was actually made fresh :( However I did like their coffee, I had the iced bounty latte and it was nice and coconutty, although it could do with some chocolate to make it more like a bounty 😅 Unfortunately, considering the food, I don’t think I’ll be back soon.

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We were in a bit of a rush and they helped us pick some quick to make things. much appreciated!

Nice atmosphere and fun cafe to spend a bit of time. They have vibrant decor and cool music and a bunch of nostalgic games and comic books to play with (or buy). There are also plenty of toys for kids to play with while you sit. We came for brunch and had coffees and the pancake stacks. The food was good but a bit rich, it would have been nice to have some simple items on the menu. A small gripe is that the plates are really small for the portions so it made it a bit difficult to eat. Overall a cute place, good experience and nice for a chilled coffee

Expensive for what you get. The baba bagel was literally 2 slices of bagel bread, a very thin layer of baba ganoush and ru cola with 3 slices of cucumber . And we waited 20min! For the cost of 14.2 euros. I find this outrageous. There are much better brunch places in The Hague than this one. Avoid!

Very friendly staff and great atmosphere

Cozy coffee shop with very friendly baristas, you immediately feel welcome here.

Was one of my fav places. Nowadays very expensive for what you get and only recently after I got my ordered drink I was told that they would close a lot earlier that day, within half an hour, while I came to sit there with my laptop. Otherwise normally also a great workplace in the sun, I will come back for that.

Very cool experience. First of all, it's delicious! Filter coffee, which I haven't tasted in a long time, just a buzz. Secondly, the atmosphere ... First you look around, and then you dissolve in this mood. This is a top!

Fantastic queer place in The Hague! We had the croissant French toast both flavors were tasty. I had the almond peach flavor. The one I was with was red fruit. Elderflower Blonde beer to really enjoy.

The food was nice and delicious but the drink felt like a rip-off; Half of the cup was filled with whip cream! And it was not that warm as much as you expect for a hot drink. Disappointed with the drinks 😕

Lovely place if a bit cramped when full. Food is good but not outstanding, drinks are great though.

Nice concept but the kitchen closed at 4pm which is one hour earlier than their closing time and the ventilation in the place is terrible. You enter and you smell a very strong old oil smell (if it smells like that, I don't think that oil is fresh at all, I wouldn't order deep fried food) and the worst part is that your clothes and hair will smell like frying oil when you get home. It's very gross. Also the toilet was disgusting.

The kitchen closes over an hour before the listed closing time. Not sure why that is. In the future it would be good to have that listed somewhere on their website or adjust the opening hours accordingly.

We came hear for brunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were excellent and the staff were super friendly. They even put a birthday candle in the bagel! Can’t wait to come back again

Live love love the aesthetics of this place. It's inspired by the 60s and 70s, and the menu is totally american style. I Def wanna go there again and recommend this to my friends too.

What a delightful place, definitely one to stop by. The space is really nicely decorated and the menu has some very unique dishes. We greatly enjoyed what we ordered, found the staff extremely nice and welcoming. When in The Hague, give this place a go.

Had breakfast twice here in two days! The crack egg was delicious and the chicken and waffles very filling. Excellent coffee and fab service.

Interesting little place with vhs tapes on the wall and comic book tables. Its has various nooks with couches to chill. The atmosphere is very relaxed and bohemianish if there is such a word. There is a small book case with board games etc. Not what I expected based on the reviews but i suppose im not the target market here. The place was full the entire time we were there.

A quiet corner to pamper yourself

Super hospitable people with a nice retro atmosphere. They have a very nice extensive menu and everything is recommended, so you should definitely come back more often for all the delicacies and fun.

Not such a good experience at Haley's today. We sat outside on the terrace for half an hour and service walked past us several times. We were mainly busy bringing coffee and change to the greengrocer on the corner. When we stopped a very bored looking girl to ask if we could order something, she looked at us as if we were asking if we could order a poop sandwich. When she took our order very aggrieved, she then said that we should have ordered inside. Tip: pass this on if you pass your guests several times or put it on a sign outside. They should also really do something about the ventilation inside because your clothes smell really bad after you've been there. Too bad, because the menu and atmosphere at Haley is generally good

Great spot with a nice vibe and atmosphere. We had the bacon pancakes and fried chicken waffles – both homemade and super tasty. The breading on the chicken had this awesome peppery pepper kick. The drinks were solid, but the espresso was way too sour – probably the wrong beans and definitely needed more brew time. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, it's a cool place for a fancy breakfast – delicious and welcoming!

Very nice interior, real 70's/80's vibe. Food is tasty, especially the breakfast buns/bagels. The London's fog is also nice to drink. Pleasant staff!

Every now and then I crave the crack egg and peaches and cream bowl from Haley’s. We share these two dishes to have the best of both worlds. They have nice inside and outside seating areas. The peaches and bowl is on the spring menu but could still order in summer so keeping my fingers crossed it will remain on the menu….. 🤞 The berries and coconut nicecream bowl is not my fav, it missed the thick nicecream consistency and the smooth taste of coconut I would expect

When visiting that hague and u want to have an awesome and wholesome breakfast, Hailey’s is the place to be! Hailey is a landmark when it comes to breakfast. The ‘Cracked egg’ with extra scrambled eggs on the side is A MUST!! Their seasonal apple cider tea is just 😍😍. Try this place you will NOT be disappointed (updated) Went after 8 months again and STILL hits the spot. Added new pictures.

Today was my first time here, although it immediately felt as familiar as if we come here every week. The interior decoration is from the 80s and there is plenty to see. There are several seating areas outside the restaurant. If you don't come very early you will also have sun there (we didn't today). Now I never go to a restaurant just for the decoration, but more for the food and believe me it is good here! Because there are too many goodies on the menu, we had to call a helpline. This gave us the following: 1. Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles. The name says it all, but these are waffles with BBQ sauce, maple syrup and chicken. The waffle was the way I like it, hard on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken was GBD (golden brown delicious) on the outside and super tender on the inside. The BBQ sauce was perfect, present but not overpowering. 2. Crack Egg. Bad stuff, because this is really addictive. Scrambled egg, Cheddar and bacon on a brioche bun topped with Sriracha Mayonnaise. We just managed to share this without any arguments. 3. Better Than French Toast My description doesn't do this justice. A container with croissant dough, red fruit and something else. The sweet finisher and the last piece of comfort food on this morning. What we didn't need help with: 1. Coffee The coffee, double espresso for us, is VERY tasty here! 2. Lemonade Home made, sweet, cold and delicious! The owner is super friendly and enthusiastic about the items on the menu! Coffee 10/10 Food 10/10 Staff 10/10 Price vs quality 10/10 Highly recommended!

Food: ordered the crack egg and it was OK - nothing special. Brioche bun was quite dry and stale. Price to quality ratio: subpar - ~€10 for a simple bun with only scrambled eggs, and then +€2 for a few thin slices of avocado is ridiculous. Service: also subpar. I went there around lunchtime and most of the place was empty. For some reason my order took around half an hour. I could spot my order sitting on the kitchen island for sometime while the staff were messing around and chatting. Asked them about my order and they told me it will be ready soon - then saw one grab the plate I spotted and walked over to my table. It feels like the kitchen is run by a bunch of teenagers doing the bare minimum and not really wanting to be there. All and all would not recommend - especially considering there are better options in the area.

I've now visited Haley's Comet twice for coffee and breakfast or snacks. It has been absolutely lovely both times. A really fun and trendy place with a great atmosphere! As a foreigner/tourist (and someone generally anxious haha) I was nervous to be going on my own, but the staff were incredibly kind and didn't make me feel silly haha! Would absolutely recommend!

Food was over cooked and we waited a long time for food. We were sat by the kitchen and it looked like the staff were just messing around giving each other hugs and joking around. They didn’t seem too bothered by looking after their customers. We waited 30mins for air fryer chicken nuggets and toaster waffles I could have made at home in 10mins. This place has potential to be a tourist hotspot but the service needs to be improved 100%.

Fantastic 80s themed joint with lovely cafe food. As a cassette lover, the vintage radio and tape styling decor was a treasure chest. Highly recommended 🌟✴️🌟✴️🌟

It's a good restaurant but the wait is a bit long.

We came in with good expectations, but when we had to wait 45 minutes for some nachos and pancakes, we quickly had enough. We only heard the staff complaining about having to work and wanting a siesta. When meals passed by, we thought it didn't look very appetizing. That turned out to be true. It was dry and after that long wait we were already grumpy anyway. The icing on the cake was that the toilet smelled terribly and the machine was broken, so you had to pay in cash. We didn't have that, so we also had to go to the ATM. Not to be repeated. Far from.

We had chicken waffles and brioche with scrambled egg and plant-based bacon and they were very delicious! 🤤 Matcha and kombucha were amazing too. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and design, as well as a very lovely owner and super friendly waiter. 📻📀 10 out of 10!

A unique place with nice design, food was also quite nice. Service can be improved a little though, it was unclear if it is self service and the table was dirty.

Great and enthusiastic staff. Good drinks and also just a very cosy vibe with the overal setdressing. Come over on a Sunday to try and win with sjoelen (a classic dutch game).

Went during the week around 9:30am. It was only myself and one other person there. I stayed for about 3.5 hours, working and ordering drinks. The cracked egg was delicious. The drinks were also really great. Service is good and the interior is different from what you find in other cafes in The Hague. Would highly recommended!

One of my favorite coffee and lunch places in my area! I regularly come here to study (nice seats by the window), the coffee is always great and the vegetarian BLT and crack egg are especially delicious. Recommended!!

We were warmly welcomed by Haley in this cool place, filled with colors and boardgames. We ate really nice sandwiches and drank good coffee. Would 200% come again when coming back to Den Haag.

We were served by Haley herself and it was a really great experience. The food is delicious, even for the vegetarians because of the large range of dishes choices we have. The place is great and colourful, you can even play boardgames while drinking a good coffee, matcha latte, spice latte… We will come again !

I'm a FAN of the crack egg! The food is always good, fresh and prepared with love. The owner is a real catering woman with a heart of gold! It is a nice and relaxed place... good atmosphere and a nice team.

This is our favourite brunch spot in Den Haag. It has an American/70's-90's/LGBT theme. They are one of the few places that makes milkshakes properly American style with iced cream rather than ice and cream. The staff are super friendly and there is a lot of seating, though it does get all-but-overfull often. It is very dog friendly. There are comic books, an arcade game, and a 70's themed room. The "Better Than French Toast" is perhaps their best menu item, and comes in 2 standard and 1 seasonal version. There is a rotating seasonal supplementary menu. They also have the best lemonade variety, including boozy lemonades, I have seen in the Netherlands.

Great food, lovely place and super service. The only thing I could mention at improvement is to serve fresh beans coffee instead of filter.

Very nice place to have a great and delicious breakfast! The interior and design is amazing. Check out the different available dishes and drinks. There are a lot of different possibilities to top up a dish.

I came here because of a recommendation and I must say it was a truly nice place to visit!! The place itself is cute and cozy, having both chairs and couches and a lot of games! The service was also great, with people sweeter than their most sweet food. The food was also super good, and the coffee was quite nice! I'd recommend this place to anyone :)

Sehr nettes Café, das wir aufgrund einen Empfehlung von den Locals besucht haben. Das Café ist unglaublich geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Essen ist auch auf Veganer und Vegetarier angepasst. Die Bedingungen sind unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen ist einfach genial gewesen. 5/5 !

My number 1 recommendation for a brunch in the Hague! The food is delicious, and they make an effort putting unique (seasonal) food and drinks on the menu - all worth a try. Service and atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place where I always look forward to the next time going there.

Always my favourite breakfast spot

The huevoburgesa (crack egg) is wonderful. Its bread was puffy and soft. Great flavour and was eaten so quickly I was unable to snap a picture! The pumpkin spice latte was meh. The croissant french toast was good.

OMG their interpretation of French Toast was mind blowing. Service was great and people were super friendly.

We just left this lovely place. You are very welcomed and the service is nice. They come immediatly with water and we ordered coffee. We took toasted bananabread and later a breakfast bowl with espresso and homemade granola. ♥️ it was a nice experience with lovely people, perfect service. You get a lot of vegan options. If we come back to The Hague,we will come back to this place ♥️ cause you get affection and attention ♥️

Coffee was cold. Food was okay but it took long to make. At home I saw on the bill that they charged us for one of our refill coffees (which was supposed to be half price) at the normal rate. Disappointing..

Amazing place with great food and coffee

Gezellige sfeer met veel spelletjes! De smoothies zijn heerlijk en smaken vers. Het eten valt tegen. De pannenkoekjes en wafel smaken alsof het uit een verpakking komt en snel is opgewarmd in de magnetron. Het smaakt droog. De bediening is vriendelijk maar het duurt lang voordat zij een bestelling op komen nemen en waren zij bij ons de helft van de bestelling vergeten aan te slaan en te brengen. Jammer, want er zaten in totaal 4 andere tafeltjes.

Wat een fijn plekje is dit! We zijn hier nu 2 keer geweest en beide keren super vriendelijk geholpen. De sfeer is super, heel open en welkom. Het eten is veel en lekker. Een plek waar iedereen welkom is.

Toffe inrichting, veels te lekker eten en leuke bediening! Zal 'helaas' vaker terug moeten komem om de hele kaart te proberen. Aanrader!
