Hap Wat in Centrum

I thought I'd just have a quiet portion of fries, but it didn't look like that at all.. Two employees were swearing at each other fiercely and loudly while a friend and I were just eating.. At some point, it started getting even more unfriendly and ended in a fight.. Truly scandalous behavior.. This is simply unacceptable when you have customers!

Scandalously small portions! We paid €4.25 for this portion.😡 Since there were hardly any fries in the container, the mayonnaise was enough for us... Additionally, a frikadel was missing and the phone was NOT answered. Scandalous place!😠 Unfortunately not the first bad experience, but definitely the last!😉

I ordered food online, waited 1.5 hours, then they cancelled my order... I called 8 times, but nobody answers?

We grabbed a few snacks from the vending machines to satisfy our hunger. It wasn't until we sat down at the table that we noticed how dirty the floor and everything else was. Compared to other fast-food chains, the food wasn't very good either, although we were also concerned about hygiene.

Don't buy food here! The hygiene is truly appalling. Deep-fried spring rolls that are ice cold on the inside. The food is also incredibly greasy.

Waited 2 hours for my food and then cancelled my order, when I call I get no answer or the call is cut off, bad business, if I could I would have given 0 stars, bad service definitely won't order there again a waste of my time and still ended up hungry 👍🏽

Tasty snacks - no cozy seating area

I used to come here for years. Definitely every week. Super nice owner and friendly staff. I personally thought they had the very best fries here. Now that there is a new owner, I’ve been there twice and I didn't like it anymore. My fries tasted like old frying oil. Plus, you couldn't use the toilet anymore, which is apparently out of order all the time. Children were also walking in and out of the kitchen, probably family. Which made it very messy and noisy. It's such a shame and a pity because I really liked coming here often.

I ordered something... And it was wrong AND incomplete. When I called, they were extremely rude and disinterested. They just hung up and didn't answer again. How hard is it to deliver a simple burger, cheese sticks, and a Coke?

We went on a Sunday arround noon. It was extremely dirty. Bins over overloaded from the day before. Floor, bathroom and tables not cleaned in a long time. My wife sat down and immediately gotbher sleeves dirty - the stuff was informed but he didn't care. No apologies and he didn't clean the tables.

Only one man just went outside, even though a customer could have come at any moment.

The food is still really good. I've been coming here since I was a kid, so a very long time. It's clear that ownership has changed again. It's also unclear who exactly works there now; a man in a DHL jacket walks behind the counter with two other men. Walking past the food and eating... A strange sight. There was also little to no communication when taking the order, which was a struggle. The furniture is mostly worn out. The benches are hard; the padding is worn out after 25+ years. Nevertheless, the food was delicious.

Ridiculous service! Ordered a portion of 8 chicken pieces for €8 (4 for €5). Instead of charging the standard portion of 8, the staff charged twice the portion of 4 and so we had to pay €10. After much discussion, we finally got our portion of 8 for €8. Pure fraud. That's completely out of line, isn't it? We were always loyal customers after going out, but we will never come back.

The fries were black and had lots of small pieces. The frikadel was tasteless and only had one small stripe of fries sauce on it. The Aldi frikadel tastes better. The restaurant's interior is worn.

The food was so delicious. It's been a long time since I've had such delicious fries. Super fresh and perfectly fried. A very nice man behind the counter. I also had a vegetable croquette sandwich. Also delicious. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, otherwise I would come here often. It's a shame I can only give them five stars. Otherwise, they'd get more.

Terrible place to order food, the personell is more interested in fooling around and forget the orders. Then they serve you hard fried fries that you can break. The onions coming out of the fridge and are not fresh. After complain about the quality they give you then a half portion Disgusting treatment. They have no idea ho pays there salary. It are the paying guest!!!!!

Specially ordered satay croquette and fries, first got a regular croquette and then a goulash croquette, and peanut fries. Disinterested staff, a bit giggly and not even able to process an order normally.

I ordered chicken satay with fries and it said that satay sauce would be included, but it wasn't there, the satay sticks were completely fried black, hard and dry, and I got fries for 5 people while I was on my own, which is a shame because I now have to throw half of it away # food waste 😫

Got raw fries. If you're busy, I think you can just bake your fries until they're ready. People don't wait for raw fries.

I ordered something and I got something else. And it was unclear the price, I saw other price on the menu and I paid more than that. There was no place to wash hands or a toilet to use. The guys working there looked nice but they should concentrate more on their jobs and with little things they can be better.

Ordered food here and it was really good. Turkish pizza döner was gigantic, lots of satay sauce with the fries, kep tasted good, everything delivered quickly, on time and hot.

Wait minutes for your spicy peanut, which they simply take from the vending machine. I didn't want that, because it is against the glass and is therefore cold. So I took it back and I got a new one. Staff simply grab food that is put into the vending machine with their hands. Next time I'll check out Kroky

There has recently been a new owner, who wants to put Hap Wat back on the map. Things have really looked better since then! And friendly staff I'll definitely return!

Bad listening, requested a special hot dog with curry, got it on a regular roll, got it with peanut sauce, instead of mayonnaise, curry and onion. We won't be coming back here.

Very bad !!! Staff rude, toilet very dirty. We didn't dare eat after we saw the hygienic conditions. Rarely have I experienced such a bad snack. They also asked for 1 euro, but it says nothing, no sign, just rude employees, my wife gave them 2 euros, but didn't get the rest of the money back. When we asked, we were insulted.

They don't listen well, they don't eat well. Ask for chicken salad and get salad with fried fish pieces. There was a layer of water under the salad. Order small fries and satay but get fries with satay sauce. It turns out that you cannot order individual satay, but only a combination (fries with satay). They could have told me anyway. We won't be back.

Came here occasionally, but never again after today, tinted comments were made to my girlfriend, the Belgian mayo had yellow lumps in it from a sauce pump that had clearly not been cleaned, the fries were prepared in almost black oil, which was therefore clearly not recent. They also charged me too little for a portion of fries, and instead of politely asking if I would like to pay more, I was charged more without context for the milkshakes I ordered afterwards. Yesterday, October 8, we wanted to get a quick bite here. There was a long line for fries and pizzas, so we chose to get something from the snack wall. Somehow there was a glitch and it took a 2,- euro coin. Behind the snack wall, a number of men were replenishing some snacks, so my girlfriend tapped the window to indicate that the door would not open, etc. etc. At the same time, this problem also arose with another person. Apparently this became too much for the staff. We were shouted at in a degrading manner and they did not come up with a solution. I immediately took my girlfriend with me, I didn't take anything out of the wall after that. Such companies don't deserve me to get a grilled burger from them. Plenty of other fun ones Companies that offer you the right service.

After our walk we got something at Hap Wat. My friend has a delicious roll, I have a hot chocolate. Friend paid for us together. Then my friend immediately gets that tasty roll from the vending machine, and I had to wait about 10 minutes for that chocolate, because other customers were served first. I thought that was a bit strange and I said something about it. You ensure that a group or duo receives the orders placed at the same time, right? So that they can eat/drink at the same time? Or am I seeing that wrong?

Nice owners, but the fries seem to be fried in very old oil. I know what fries are supposed to be like, and they're not! 'Crime, bad looking fries'. Not to mention that this is unhealthy for you. You should notice this even after taking a sip. This is also where your frikandel and croquette are baked. The interior was already dated when the current owner took over the tent (5 years ago), had been in need of replacement for years, and is now seriously overdue. In my opinion it is better to go to Croky, for example the fries are much better there and look normal. Nice people there too, with a clean display, baking and workshop at Croky. The policy of the owners of Hap Wat seems to be aimed at milking the place financially as much as possible and not investing. Not to mention that this is already more difficult these days, given that there is already a decline in turnover. The bad fries and dirty-looking environment are on top of that. The atmosphere around midnight is indeed often sultry, as a previous reviewer wrote. In short, I won't go here again!
