It's great to still have a genuine Chinese-Indonesian restaurant with traditional dishes. Time seems to have stood still here, as it should be. But the service isn't slowing down. My goodness, it's so fast-paced! If you're not careful, you'll be out the door in forty-five minutes after a three-course meal.

We often get babi pangang. We got takeout again tonight, but it's never been this bad. It feels like the meat was boiled in water without any seasoning, and the sauce was just sloshed over it in the container. Very disappointing!

Delicious food and friendly service. Old-school Chinese restaurant with lots of choices, including traditional dishes. I love it here.

No interest in the customer, and I think the bami pangang was prepared souse-vide. Absolutely no love in the food.

I'd never been here before, but it just had to happen! And what a lovely restaurant this is! It's lovely and small, and the staff is incredibly friendly! The nasi goreng with satay is highly recommended, and it's prepared with love! The price is perfect, and afterward, you even get a warm towel to wipe your hands with! The restrooms are also spotlessly clean, and I'll definitely be back. Everyone who works here: thanks for a wonderful evening!

After reading the reviews, we were a bit skeptical, but the opposite was true: the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and professional. My neighbor, who is now 95 and has eaten there twice a week for 25 years of her working life, was very satisfied.

We ate there last Thursday. The food was excellent. The nasi is highly recommended! It wasn't busy, but reservations are recommended.

Got dinner tonight, incredibly bad, the babi pangang had a watery sauce. The spicy beef was dry and, in our opinion, had been reheated before. The chicken had soy sauce, which was there, but the chicken had flown past it. The old noodles were grainy and unbearable. For 48 euros, it went straight in the trash. It's a shame, I've been coming here for 25 years, never had any problems with the previous owner. I'll never go back.

The food is SUPER nice and the boss is very friendly and welcoming. You can enjoy all kinds of authentic Asian/Chinese food here. The decoration has a nice cozy vibe. Will definitely recommend to other friends!

Bought food for €37 and it all ended up in the trash, this was really the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten, it didn't smell good and the taste was nothing, yuck.

This is my go to spot when visiting family around the Diemen area. Cozy restaurant and diverse Chinese menu. They have roast and Peking duck, crispy pork, friend shrimp, beef and chicken dishes along with other seafood. Lots to order from the menu to get everyone their favorite Chinese dish. We enjoy coming here. One of the better Chinese and overall Asian restaurant in the area. Service is always quick when ordering or asking for extra items.

Had a really bad dinner at Happy China. We sat down with our group at 5:30 PM, and our mains didn’t come out until 7 PM. We are not ones to complain, but we finally asked our waiter why it was taking so long. All he said was that he didn’t know - no explanation, no apology, and he was honestly rude about it, like they didn’t care we were waiting for another hour. We were looking forward to the meal, but this service ruined our experience entirely. Would not recommend.

Nice people work at happy China. But the food is so bad. Knor world dishes are still delicious. Middle of the road flavors. Then we don't agree on the price. Really expensive for what you get in terms of taste and quality. Really a shame. This can be better happy china!! I'll never go there again.

Prima gerechten geserveerd gekregen en de bediening was perfect en zeer snel. Zeer vriendelijke mensen die zeer snel de heerlijke gerechten op je tafel zetten! De inrichting is wel enigszins gedateerd en zou best gemoderniseerd mogen worden.

We enjoyed the delicious food at Happy China tonight. We had the Peking (Beijing) menu, it was delicious! Our daughter had the large shrimps on prawn crackers and with noodles. Dessert only our son ordered, he loved it. It's a nice place to sit, nice atmosphere and the service is friendly!

Good services, the food is really good, wide choice and the staff and owner are hardworking but customer-friendly people. And more people think so. Because if you come around dinner time, don't be surprised if you have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for a table to become available, but it is 100% worth every minute you have to wait!

I'm not so happy with happy China anymore. No idea who the cook is at the moment but the food was really tasteless. I also got the feeling that the meat had been left outside too long or something like that. Service was ok, the lady who helped us was friendly but not knowledgeable. They are also on the pricey side, which isn't a problem if the food is worth it. That is not the case. The last time for me. Faded glory.

I've honestly never experienced this before. The food was very average, only the chicken was good. The tenderloin was tasteless and it looked like it was old. When we pointed this out, the owner became aggressive. That we shouldn't bullshit and he started shouting. Really too rude for words. Bad food, bad service and arrogant attitude of the owner. Not worth stars.

Slecht ,familie heeft etentjes gegeven ,buffet ,ben er vaak geweest.laatst een bami gehaald en ik zei ham en prei niet tussen de bami,alleen ei maar ham kan er op.toen kwam ze met een bami met 2 spiegelei erop, die ham had ze vergeten erop te doen, pakte die bami terug,werd er flinterdunne ham op gedaan en 1 spiegelei weggehaald(wat krenterig)ik vroeg waar is die andere ei toen zei die vrouw je betaalt voor 1 ei (erg lachwekkend ) voor een ei ga ik echt niks zeggen,krerterig en zielig.terwijl mijn fam.duizendend euro heeft uitgegeven en goeie fooi gegeven.krenterige eigenaar. Bami was eens niet lekker en eten ook niet ,het is dat mij fam daar buffet gaf,maar hoop van harte niet meer. Plus als eigenaar jou ziet doordeweeks doet hij of hij je niet kent(arrogant)ben ik met fam in de restaurant doet hij aardig.ja want de kassa gaat rinkelen!!!cashen!

I highly recommend steering clear of this restaurant. We truly had a horrible experience. The man who runs this restaurant is rude. He called us dumb Americans after his card machine wouldn’t run our card. We use this card for every purchase when we are traveling and have never had an issue with it. It is the only card we use to avoid transaction fees. We told him we just used the card an hour ago and he didn’t believe us. He interrogated us about where we used the card. He yelled at us when we explained that there is no issue with our card and he did not care at all. He did not have another card machine so he was forcing us to go to an ATM which charges really high fees and interest rates. He was completely out of line and treated us with no respect.

As a Cantonese, I can taste the taste of Cantonese in the Netherlands👍👍

I remembered that a long time ago I had an excellent meal at a Chinese restaurant in the Diemen shopping center. The restaurant turned out to still exist and indeed, it was very tasty and the service was correct and friendly. Recommended.

Not sure. The food itself is tasty, but you quickly get a very dry mouth and it's not that tasty. This has happened to me before, also at other restaurants due to the use of a lot of vetsin (seasoning). I can't tolerate this well. Shame!

Some truly unique and authentic dishes. I especially recommend the Foe Dim (nr. 238). It's simply amazing. It's stuffed trout. Yes, stuffed. I read it in the menu and thought it was some mistranslation, but it wasn't. I was curious to see what it would be like. It was amazing. It's an actual trout, but stuffed. You have to see it to believe it. It's like something out of an imperial kitchen. It's rare for a chef to be able to make this. Yes, I had to wait quite a while, but it's a lot of work to make it and it certainly is well worth the wait. I'm certainly going back to try something else from the menu. The staff is very friendly and professional and the interior decoration is also quite stylish. They have a big fish tank and a sumptuous ceiling decoration.

Chinese restaurants like this are becoming increasingly rare. Actually everything is okay here.

Food was completely tasteless and the meat extremely dry, service was okay.

Was inmiddels alweer een tijdje geleden dat wij hier waren maar de hoge kwaliteit van het eten was gelukkig nog steeds hetzelfde. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en ook de vegetariër in ons gezelschap kon goed uit de voeten met het menu.

Daar goed gegeten en het was goed genoeg. Top.

Lekker eten en een goede sfeer.

Weet niet wie er tegenwoordig in de keuken staat, maar eten is absoluut niet meer lekker. Loempia echt smakeloos, tomatensoep redeIijk, tjap tjoi met bamie volkomen smakeloos en alles wekt de indruk te zijn gebakken in oud frituurvet. Ben er zelfs licht onpasselijk van. Jammer, was in het verleden absoluut beter. Vervang een keer olie en gebruik wat kruiden in het eten.

Gezellige zweer en erg lekker eten

Een aantal keren loempia's-speciaal gehaald. Op mijn verzoek, lekker doorbakken (krokante korst) met verse knapperige taugé, groenten met verse kip stukjes. Absoluut NIET vet, goed warm gepresenteerd. TOPPERTJE!! 🤗

vandaag voor het eerst gegeten en ik moet je zeggen dat ik voor geen tijden zo lekker gegeten hebt ,en wij komen zeker terug een aanrader goede bediening top restaurant

heerlijk chinees eten. zeker goed om eens te proberen als je van authentiek Chinese gerechten houdt.

De eerste keer bij dit Chinese restaurant. Om af te halen. En …. het is heel erg goed bevallen. Ik heb een standaard gerecht gekocht. Het combinatiegerecht met babi pangang en Foeyonghai met witte rijst. Echte traditionele Nederlandse Chinese smaken. Fris en vers. Geen bijsmaakjes. Geen “ongewenst naeffect” gewoon erg lekker. Knapperige babi. Mooie smaak in de saus. Misschien wat te veel kip in de Foeyonghai en (dus) te weinig ei. En uiteraard ruim voldoende. Ik heb er twee dagen verrukkelijk van gegeten. Tot snel!

Dit is echt een toppertje. Het eten is echt heerlijk en smaakvol. En wij komen zeker terug 👍🏼👍🏼

Vroeger was dit echt de lekkerste Chinees in heel Nederland. Maar laatst is die overgenomen door stel andere. Vreselijk Het eten was super droog. Kwam niet tegelijk aan. Iemand aan me tafel kreeg ze eten 10 minuten later dan de rest. En dat is gewoon verschrikkelijk. Kom op hé Echt een vreselijke ervaring, vroeger was het veel beter. Ook kwa personeel, meneer is wel aardig, maar zegt tegen je kinderen dat ze geen patat mogen. Natuurlijk bij de Chinees eet je geen patat, maar kinderen kun je niet veel aan doen. Dan gaf die iets anders en zegt die van 'Ja, krijg je VAN MIJ'. En bij de rekening kon je gewoon zien dat die extra 20 euro voor dat gerecht had toegevoegd Enige positieve ding is dat de decoratie gebleven is, dus dat is nog supermooi

I ordered a simple chicken dish. And it was supposed to be delivered after 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, they changed it with another hour and so on. Called to cancel, but no one understood english. Never going to order from here again.
