Terrible manager who did nothing about the fact that my pizza wasn't a pizza but prawn crackers, just because I had carpaccio on it he said the base only went in the oven yeah so not in there long or anything then it really doesn't need to be that hard My friend asked for a discount we didn't get it and it wasn't even well filled First time for me going to a Happy Italy but once and never again there I'll go to Dordrecht instead

I have never seen such a bad pizza in my life. The cheese was of very low quality, probably the cheapest one can find on the market. The dough seemed to be made with cheap flour that might be easy to use, but has absolutely no taste. If you want to regret your money, come to this place. For me, this was the first and last time. Too bad, because you have a great reputation in the Netherlands. I hope that those in charge finally hire a real pizza baker who understands what pizza means. €13 for a Margherita? Truly unbelievable 😮💨😮💨 The person responsible for this place should be ashamed.

Service has been abysmal for years, and tonight was no exception, and we weren't the only ones who experienced this. The manager was nowhere to be seen all evening, while meanwhile nearly 20 staff members were on the floor for fewer than 50 tables. 18 too many in my opinion. During my years in the hospitality industry, I did this with just one other colleague and no one was left wanting. Here, they walk past rows of tables full of empty plates and glasses one after another like dumb sheep with handheld devices in hand, as if they are working very hard, and then you still have to raise your hand from behind your obviously empty plate and glass to get service. That service, which you also have to ask for in English, is then cheerfully forgotten, because they are all too busy looking right over the rows of tables full of empty plates and glasses. The table behind us was so fed up that they called the manager over, who actually understands the problem and apologizes, which makes you think: hey, the manager is on the floor, he’ll show his staff how it *should* be done. But no, less than 2 minutes after the neighbors’ complaint, he’s standing outside quietly smoking a cigarette; after all, he’s earned his break after that performance. There is really nothing left of the golden concept that Happy Italy was 10+ years ago; it’s a shame, though the food was pretty good this time. Edit for the owner: if your service at the office were just as skilled and fast as you respond to all these reviews, the problem would have been largely resolved. Good luck!

Upon entering, the man at the door was very curt and unfriendly. It is a pity that the waitress only spoke English. She was friendly, though. The Pizza Quattro Stagioni was very disappointing. The pizza was divided into four sections. One side had salami, one side ham, one side mushrooms, and on one side I was just eating artichokes. Seriously, surely this isn't a quattro stagioni??? On top of that, the crust was very hard, impossible to cut through with a knife. The truffle risotto, however, was very tasty. If I come back, it will be for the risotto, but I won't dare try the pizzas again.

The pomodore pasta was so blend, the crust for the pizza was kind of burnt, not enjoyable. The pizza was ok ok nothing great taste of Happy Italy "Epic Taste". The Virgin Mojito taste like sour sparking water with sad munt leaves... What to say about the service... The waiter is in hurry like to catch a train, probably because we came 1hour before kitchen closing time... They were more focused on closing cleaning than customer oriented. The restaurant location is great, its huge but thats it... Disappointed 😞

We came with a big group of teenies, kids and adults probably around 70 people.. our server Kheena ( I hope I spelled the name correctly) managed the 2 super long tables..we had to pay all per family and she took the orders smoothly...with the separate tables and commotion! She is truly an asset to this restaurant and we just want to mention it .we were a big group of foreigners coming for a sports event in Breda. The ambiance is great, the portions big, the drinks were yummy and it has a good variety of dishes to choose from.

We ate pizza. It can be summed up in one word: SALT. There was too much salt in the batter, too much in the sauce, and on top of that, there was a substantial amount in the slices of salami. I gave a 5-star review last time, but I am just so disappointed now! It is heartbreaking that Social Deal has changed to “from 2 people”. This happened shortly after I visited, so I feel truly personally attacked. I called and they said that Social Deal was responsible for this, but that is absolutely not true! And if it were true, you could call Social Deal and tell them it needs to go back to 1 person!! I am a person working on my self-love, and solo dates are just part of the process. We had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks; the pasta and pizza only arrived after almost an hour. We wanted to order a second drink, the waitress said a colleague was coming, but after sitting inside for 2.5 hours, we were never asked a second time for an extra drink. We asked for the bill three times and only managed to do so after walking over to the lady ourselves to pay. We told her we had a problem, but she told us that wasn't her problem. After 2.5 hours we got our ice cream, so we walked to the car and ate the ice cream. First and last time.

I'll start by saying that Happy Italy usually makes me happy, but my last three visits to this restaurant have been anything but. I'll start with the first visit (0.1 star): there were fewer than 10 guests, we had a lot of trouble placing an order. There were only two of us in the restaurant, it was practically empty, and the staff were more focused on each other than on the guests. We ended up ordering a pizza and a spicy pasta. The pizza was overcooked and had enough tuna for three pizzas, so we sent more than half back to the kitchen. The spicy pasta (just a side note; I love spicy food, but this was absolutely ridiculous) was so spicy that the other ingredients were unrecognizable. Washing it down with drinks wasn't easy either. Since the staff were having such a good time together in the kitchen and on their phones, we couldn't order drinks until everything had cooled down, more than 30 minutes after we received our food. The food at the McDonald's in the same location tasted better and was better organized. Well, this was our first visit, and we were quite shocked, but we wanted to give it another chance. Our second visit to "happy" Italy: We decided to eat here again. Although the chef seemed to be in good spirits again on our second visit, and the food was of slightly better quality, the two pizzas had better toppings and were less burnt, I unfortunately can't compliment the service again. Another experience that wasn't "happy." We arrived a bit later in the evening, but ordering drinks was also difficult this time, and we didn't always get what we ordered. We went a bit later than the first time, and by 9:00 PM, we were already asked to place our last order. Fine, we thought. We'll have two more drinks and two desserts, but to our surprise, we were given the desserts in a doggy bag to take home. The chairs around us were already put on the table more than half an hour before closing time. The only thing that went quickly this time was paying. The service was again very unfriendly, and we felt rushed and had to leave quickly. The dessert, which came from a cardboard container at home, tasted like a third and final chance. Well, on our third visit, we thought, "Come on, Happy Italy, third time's the charm, you can do it." But unfortunately, the concept for this location, in my opinion, is completely rubbish. The food was mediocre again, and this is definitely not what we're used to from "Happy Italy." This time, by far the most staff were present, and we had a good feeling. Ordering went smoothly at first, as the food and drinks arrived quickly. The appetizer (the bruschetta) was so overcooked that it flaked apart when cutting it. Believe me, even the birds wouldn't eat a crumb of it. When we received our main course (pizza and pasta), the pizza was practically cold. We received one drink instead of two (as ordered), which happens every time we visit. We had added extra ingredients to the pasta, but the mushrooms were anything but fresh. When we tried to order dessert after the main course, the staff ignored us. We also noticed that other guests were already complaining to the staff. We were also fed up with standing at the cash register for 20 minutes to pay. The three staff members were taking a break and completely ignored the other guests. Walking out without paying probably wouldn't have been noticed, but we don't think that's polite either. When it was time to pay, we saw the chef, standing over the pasta dishes ready to be brought to the table, blow his nose and then continue without washing his hands. A pasta with extra bite is delicious. As Rob Geus would say: "This doesn't make me happy." For us, Breda is a "HORROR ITALY"...

Happy Italy isn't what it once was. I used to love going there, and the food and service were really good. Over the past few years (I think since Happy Italy expanded in terms of locations), the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The pasta sauce isn't good anymore, the pizzas have gotten much smaller, and the flavor has deteriorated. Those pizzas used to be large, and the crust and base were nice and thin. Now, they've become a lump of dough. The service has also deteriorated significantly. I always thought Breda was the best Happy Italy location to go to, partly because of the parking. I even happily queued outside for 30 minutes. Now the service is terrible: you receive unfriendly service and have to wait a long time to order and pay. By the way, not all the wait staff are unfriendly, but they are very rare these days... In short: I think it's a real shame that the quality of the food has deteriorated so much. If this place was as good as it used to be, I wouldn't care how unfriendly or uncustomer-oriented the staff were.

The kids had to use the restroom (a single-seat men's restroom for such a large restaurant is ridiculous!). When I was there with the kids, the waiter had been by our table, my wife had told me I'd gone to the restroom, and he said he'd be back in a few minutes. After trying to get his attention for 20 minutes, I ordered via the QR code because he'd simply forgotten about us. Then we had to wait another 35 minutes for our food. The pasta and pizza were fine. The happy pizza for the kids looked nice. But it was a bit of a shame that the peppers were raw and cold. After eating, I physically went to the waiter after 10 minutes of trying to get his attention to pay. Getting outside was also a challenge with the large group of people waiting! We were told goodbye. But I think that's very unlikely!

Arriving at the restaurant to grab a nice meal before the movie... we thought. As other reviews have mentioned, the welcome wasn't exactly welcoming. We had to wait 20 minutes to get to our table. Finally, we got a table and ordered our food and drinks. Everything went well until we got our appetizer. A small container of pesto fell from our appetizer tray onto the floor. It happens, of course, but some of our clothes were stained with it. The person walked away to get a new container... no "sorry or apologies, I'm going to get a cloth." No! He returned with the container and sprinted off again. We ended up asking for napkins and a dishcloth ourselves. They gave us a dry dishcloth and told us to go to the toilet if we wanted to get it wet. How hospitable?! Then came the main course. There were four of us, and three of us got our food. "Maybe your dish will arrive a bit later..." It didn't. They "forgot" it. Ridiculous! Our waitress had even cancelled our order before sending it to the kitchen. Because of all this awkwardness, we finally decided to ask the manager how we could resolve this. Perhaps some compensation? "Drinks are on us," meaning you'd be ordering four drinks that weren't included in the terms and conditions. WHICH DRINKS WERE THEY? In short: the food is fine, the service is EXTREMELY BAD.

I was looking at the reviews, and apparently it's been going on for a while, and the management isn't doing anything with the reviews to improve it. So I just accept one star. It's the management who handles the reviews and doesn't resolve the complaints. I see many reviews with the same complaints, so if the management isn't good, it's not the ground staff's fault.

The food is excellent, just like any other Happy Italy. The staff, like other Happy Italy restaurants, aren't exactly a calling card. They're friendly until you get your food. Then you often get a look, like, "Are you still here?" But that doesn't stop me from enjoying a delicious pizza and/or pasta.

Wanted to order a drink After a long time trying to get in touch, I could only order a soft drink. Even though the place was still open for half an hour. You can make more money on cocktails, but oh well.

We had a delicious meal tonight! Unfortunately, the food wasn't very hot. Because it was busy due to an event, we had to wait a bit longer, but the staff kept their cool! We'll definitely be back.

We had dinner at Happy Italy in Breda tonight. We didn't have a reservation, but we easily got a nice table. We had delicious bruschetta and a tasty pizza and risotto. The service was fast and friendly. Excellent!

For a quick plate of pasta, this is a great place to sit. We had a social deal, which meant we were seated a bit separately with a limited menu, but with plenty of choice. It was a shame they weren't able to order everything. But my truffle pasta was delicious, and whatever I couldn't finish, I got to take home in a nice container.

Previously always excellent value for money. To my surprise, the prices have gone up dramatically. The combo deal with 24 chicken pieces was €20, now you pay €21 for the combo deal with 16 pieces. On top of that, you only have the disadvantage of being able to choose two flavors instead of three. Such a shame.

I ordered an hour and a half in advance and it was supposed to arrive at 6:30, but nothing. At 7:00, when I called, they were there within 10 minutes. The food was still cold, and then you pay 15 euros for cold food. It was truly disgusting.
