It was very busy on a Saturday and therefore noisy. Orders were served quickly. All in all, it wasn't bad. The waiters were quick and polite.

Great food, good pizza, friendly staff, everything was great. Pascal, nice guy ;) Tomorrow we'll enjoy the doggy bag again.

For a quick plate of pasta, this is a great place to sit. We had a social deal, which meant we were seated a bit separately with a limited menu, but with plenty of choice. It was a shame they weren't able to order everything. But my truffle pasta was delicious, and whatever I couldn't finish, I got to take home in a nice container.

We had dinner at Happy Italy in Breda tonight. We didn't have a reservation, but we easily got a nice table. We had delicious bruschetta and a tasty pizza and risotto. The service was fast and friendly. Excellent!

The food was delicious, drinks were served quickly, but we were only asked once if we wanted anything. It also took over an hour for the main course to arrive after our appetizer. We had to wait over 45 minutes for both the main course and dessert. The food is good, but you have to wait a long time before you get everything. There are also many English-speaking servers.

Tasos was our waiter and served us very quickly and efficiently. We walked in, and he came to help us right away. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and a good location if you want to go to the cinema or go bowling.

I've been coming to this location since 2017, and it's always been good. I saw the latest reviews and paid extra attention to whether it was still a good experience. I really have nothing to complain about; the English staff really goes the extra mile. I ate here tonight with my dad through a social deal! A great price! Both staff members were very friendly, cheerful, and polite. The 4-course pizza was delicious, the pistachio and strawberry ice cream was also very good, and the iced teas were also good with a lemon slice and ice cubes! As a thank you, we left a tip and were greeted with a big smile. Just give them a try and don't always believe the reviews.

Worth repeating, very cozy, very tasty food

The pizzas were delivered very quickly, and the service was excellent. I've had a few disappointing experiences in recent months, but now it's been very positive.

We went out for a birthday dinner with 8 adults and a baby through a Social Deal. The food wasn't too bad, a bit bland, but with a group of 8, it was served quite quickly and neatly. The staff was friendly, even though I could barely hear them (read below). The volume of other guests was incredibly annoying. Young screaming children in the ball pit were unaffected by either parents or staff; we couldn't hear each other at the table. A group of very loud (almost screaming) teenage girls also didn't help the overwhelming noise level. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant anytime soon after this (unfortunately) unpleasant experience.

The food was not that good, the service people brought the wrong food twice, not recommended

Yesterday I ate at Happy Italy Breda for the first time. The atmosphere was great, and the staff and welcome were very customer-focused. I had a delicious pizza and ice cream afterward. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I would have taken pictures, but it looked so delicious that I completely forgot about my phone and enjoyed the wonderful food. There was also a great pizza for the kids, beautifully presented. It rounded off our vacation perfectly. And not to mention, it was a really good price.

Upon arrival, we had to wait a bit, despite having a reservation. The food was excellent, with delicious pizza and pasta. Unfortunately, there weren't enough staff for the many guests. We had to wait at least half an hour for just a main course, which we could live with. Unfortunately, there was no one around to order drinks from, so due to the time constraints, we decided to walk to pay and get ice cream elsewhere.

How this Happy Italy has deteriorated. Drinks took a very long time to arrive, not surprising with just one bartender in a crowded restaurant. I received a different type of pasta than I ordered, and it didn't seem like I had a choice whether to accept it or not (I like them all, but still). The mushrooms were very tough. The menu said it contained Parmesan, but we didn't taste any. The only response I got was "yes, that's a binding agent." Luckily, we did get two containers of Parmesan free of charge. The sauce was good, though! Afterward, I ordered another drink and received the wrong one. This was quickly resolved. It was best not to use the restroom, as one was flooded and closed, and the other was about to break. For the price you pay these days, I think it's really gone downhill.

Happy? More like sad Italy. Being greeted at the door isn't with a "good evening" but with a RESERVATION?!?!?! Good day too... The last time we were there, the staff didn't have the decency to clear a table of (half-)empty pizza plates. No, they were piled up, and then quickly dumped the desserts on the table. Delicious, nibbling away at your tiramisu among the cold pizza remains. Never again sad Italy for me. That you even dare to call this Italian is a disgrace. Tables aren't cleared; it's a complete mess. The pasta itself (I had carbonara, or something resembling it?) was so bad it was worth flushing down the toilet. Tasteless. Reservations aren't necessary either. The line is there anyway, and it's first come, first served.

Slow service, we got our drinks 30 minutes after finishing our food? (2 cola zero’s) with almost fully melted ice… food was ok but I’m not coming back

Unfortunately, my experience here was terrible! The service was terrible, the food was absolutely inedible, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. We won't be back.

Eating salty food has been like this for years

Huge pizzas, generously topped with excellent flavor. Ordered through SocialDeal for a great price. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

I come here regularly and it's always good. The pizzas are delicious and the prices are fair.

The food itself was fine. The service was absolutely terrible. The food was practically thrown on the table. Most of the staff looked like they were in a state of panic. This is a real shame for the guests, because you want a pleasant, relaxed meal, not to end up in a nasty atmosphere where staff are constantly scolding each other and you can't even say "enjoy your meal" or anything like that. Definitely no more Happy Italy for us, because that makes you anything but HAPPY 🥲

Delicious pasta and pizza. I've been there several times with Kinepolis.

Rayani is completely unprofessional. We waited an hour for our order, and she came back angry with an unacceptable attitude towards customers. She yells at staff. This isn't the first time. With an assistant like that, you're losing customers.

I tried again, but I was instantly cured for life. Not only were the pasta dishes absolutely inedible, but we didn't even get our drinks until the pasta was already gone. The staff was completely understaffed and incompetent (though friendly otherwise). Absolutely not recommended. I'm not the most demanding person, and I'm used to it, but they'll never see me again.

What a disaster! We were greeted by a young man who asked if we could speak English. That wasn't such a problem, mind you. So we were taken to the table and ordered drinks and food: Pasta tonno and Pizza 4 formaggi. When the food arrived, I was given a pizza with 4 stagioni. The same young man, Roberto from Estonia, had the nerve to claim I'd ordered a stagioni. But in the end, I received a 4 formaggi. My husband's pasta was, in a word, simply disgusting. Onions hadn't been chopped, and the tuna was nowhere to be found. When we indicated our dissatisfaction at the checkout, we were treated downright rudely by our Roberto. This person should find another job, but never work in a restaurant again. Unfortunately, 0 stars isn't an option, otherwise that would have been the result of pizza and pasta at Happy Italy. Never, ever again in Breda!!!!!

Disastrous. What terrible service. After placing an order, the waiter brought the wrong dish. He started arguing about what was ordered. No apology or anything, just insisting it wasn't his fault. The tuna pasta I ordered was by far the worst pasta I've ever had. Almost no tuna, onions barely chopped, peppers chopped too coarsely, tasted like nothing. The only positive was the beer flavor, thankfully they have little control over that.

Today I ordered three pizzas for pickup. I arrived five minutes before the agreed-upon time. After waiting two minutes, a friendly young woman approached me and asked what I'd ordered. She then walked to the pizza counter and returned with two of the three pizzas. One of the two had already been moved from a plate into a box. I then waited at least five minutes for the third pizza. Luckily, I was able to watch an overheated pasta chef throwing plates and pans around. The third pizza was also placed first on a plate and then in a box. When I saw the boxes there, I approached someone who then walked over to the wrapped pizzas, and luckily, one of the two was in front of me. Then I could go home with two lukewarm pizzas and one warm one. The conclusion is that logistically, it's a nightmare here; everyone's running fast but doesn't really know what they're doing.

They forgot a lot. Someone got a completely different type of pasta than they'd requested, and one person received a much lower quality meal. So everyone was almost finished eating by the time that person received theirs.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Plates aren't cleared when desserts are brought. Drinks sit on the bar for 15 minutes before being brought. Fortunately, we did receive new glasses because the ice cubes had already melted.

Delicious vegan spicy meatballs and tiramisu. Friendly staff. While they have plenty of vegetarian and vegan menu options, I'd like to see more. The Future is plant-based.

Tonight's meal was so disgusting that a few bites were enough to make me nauseous and eventually sick 🤮. The salmon pasta still smelled, but after a few bites, it was inedible. The other pasta, with chicken and mushrooms, I don't know how much oil, salt, and Peter we added, and it still tasted like nothing. We're a few pounds lighter after eating at Happy Italy Breda tonight. No Happy Italy for the next 20 years for me...not for the world!

Na de bestelling opgegeven te hebben ontzettend lang op ons drinken moeten wachten. Daarna volgde er ook nog eens een verkeerde bestelling. waardoor ons zoontje nog langer op de juiste pizza moest wachten. Het personeel is druk en soms onbereikbaar. Ook de rekening een kwartier met onze vinger onhoog gezeten. De pizza's zijn echter wel oké.

Ik heb bij Happy Italy in Breda gegeten en helaas was dit een heel slechte ervaring. Ik bestelde de pasta met zalm, maar al na een paar happen gegeten te hebben begon ik me ziek te voelen. De zalm rook erg onaangenaam en kort daarna kreeg ik last van diarree en moest ik overgeven. Dit wijst duidelijk op bedorven of slecht bereide vis. Daarnaast viel ook op: • Slechte service: het personeel oogt ongeïnteresseerd en onvriendelijk. • Stressvolle werkomgeving: dit lijkt door te werken in de sfeer en de manier waarop gasten behandeld worden.

The food is fine, but it's a big family-friendly place. Screaming kids everywhere. It also took ages to take our order, and we only asked for another drink after we'd already finished eating.

Crowd = cashier. The food was good, but the plastic plates were a real letdown.

The main course was fine; we had the more expensive pizzas and pastas. These were sufficiently filling and tasty. The service was mediocre. It took a long time for them to come by to take our drink orders, but when they did, we immediately ordered the main course. They didn't ask again if we wanted another drink or dessert. A nice young woman was working, however, and at the end of the meal, when we had finished, she came to ask if we had enjoyed the desserts (which were delicious, by the way) and that if we wanted anything else, we could call her. After we had paid and shortly after got up to leave, we heard an older man/colleague loudly ask ahead of us if we had paid. We found this rather unfriendly.

What a racket from children's parties going on! Nothing was said about the enormous screams. Several children were getting annoyed. Frustrated, I wolfed down my food and quickly left.

It doesn't have much in common with a real Italian restaurant – to me, it's more of an Italian fast food experience 😀 The pizza was okay, the bruschetta too, it's just a shame the baguette wasn't warm. It's hard for me to say anything more because it's neither a bad nor a good restaurant; it all depends on your expectations. If you want a quick Italian meal, it's okay, but if you're looking for a truly rich flavor, unfortunately, this isn't the place for you. Regardless, I'd visit again 😉

It should actually be minus 1. Never smoke a cigarette because the staff will take your food and drinks off the table. And if you point this out, they won't budge on anything. Only when you have to make it perfectly clear to them that it's their fault did they manage to get rid of two to-go containers with great difficulty.

Happy Italy Breda? More like Grumpy Italy... What was supposed to be a party quickly turned into an exercise in patience (and frustration). We thought we'd grab a quick bite, but ended up in what sounded like a live performance of "Waiting for Godot"—only with empty glasses and growling stomachs. We waited 45 minutes before anyone even noticed us. And then someone finally showed up… with an expression as if we were the one table that ruined their entire day. No smile, no hello, just a sigh and a grumpy "just tell me." The pasta ultimately tasted like it had been wasting its time in the kitchen, too. Nothing special, but by the time it was on the table, I'd already eaten three imaginary pizzas. In short: unfriendly service, endless waits, and an atmosphere like you'd accidentally walked into someone's family feud. Happy Italy? I've rarely seen such an ironic name. Next time, just get a frozen pizza at home—faster, more fun, and no one will look at you like you ruined their weekend.

I really don't recommend this pizzeria – a complete waste of time and money. The food is of very low quality, practically inedible, and the staff who served us didn't speak the language. My request for an extra plate was met with no response at all, probably due to a lack of understanding. This was my first and certainly last time.

Happy Italy didn't disappoint. The staff was very friendly, but quite busy, with everyone crammed into one seat. As it got later, things improved. The cinema menu is highly recommended, very inexpensive. The food is also good! Better than expected.

We were immediately shown to a table, which was nice. However, I didn't think the service was good. I knew I was going to "fast Italian," but that doesn't mean the plates should literally be thrown on the table. We had to figure out what it was ourselves and give it to the right person. Then my daughter got the wrong pizza, but before we could point it out, the guy was gone. When we mentioned it to a girl who walked by, her response was, "I'm a drinker," and she just kept going. Ultimately, my daughter got the right pizza (without an apology). I understand that staffing is hard to come by, so perhaps that's a balancing act for the manager: hire everyone versus hire friendly people and/or give them proper customer service training.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING – PHOTO PROOF I picked up some pasta from Happy Italy and, to my horror, found a large clump of dark hair in my food (see photo). Not just a single hair, but a lump that literally makes you sick. This is simply unsanitary, disgusting, and completely unacceptable. You trust a restaurant to provide clean and safe meals—what I found here is something you wouldn't expect from even the worst fast food place. I will never order or buy food from here again, and I advise everyone to do the same. This kind of thing shouldn't happen. Happy Italy? Delicious food in a beautiful place and friendly staff

The food was cold, took a long time, was slow, and the staff was rude and inexperienced. I had to put my own food in a container.

We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 PM. There were few staff available, and those who were there could barely keep up. We waited a while for a table and asked for a quiet spot if possible, preferably by the window, where the seating is more spacious. This wasn't possible, but we were told quite bluntly. First, the empty tables in the middle had to be filled. But did the people after us get assigned to this spot? Then we ordered via QR code, which was a bit less personal. The food arrived quickly and was excellent. It took a while to pay. The food was great, the service less so.

😭 what a drama, way too few staff. Waiting twenty minutes despite having made a reservation, ordering drinks immediately, then waiting way too long to pass on your food, which came super fast by the way. But those drinks, ask once, no response. Ask twice, yes it's busy at the bar sir, ask 3 times yes the drinks are for the bar sir not for me. Eventually finished eating, no drinks, get up to pay slightly irritated, what do you think they want to bring.... Exactly. Thank you kindly, just get them ready for the next time, although I don't expect that to come soon

Is a bit of an Italian food court. No atmosphere very busy and pizzas were not really tasty and dry. More value for your money go to another pizzeria.

We arrived at 20:20 and asked the boy (blond, a bit plump) if we could still eat. He went to ask and came back with the news that we could only order pizza. We did this and I asked, among other things, if we could also get ice in our drinks. I decided to pay immediately instead of after eating. A little later the man came back and our pizzas were ready. We got them in a box with 2 cans of Pepsi and a paper round container full of ice cubes. After this we were told to leave the place and eat the food outside. On top of that they were also rude. We eventually sat down at a table because the restaurant was still quite full with people who were still eating. When we sat down at the table we were looked at askance by the employee who helped us. I heard from another colleague that he is the manager. That is not how you treat customers! We are not dogs. Never come here again! What a disgrace.

Bad experience at Happy Italy – beware of group reservations! I recently made a reservation at Happy Italy for a group of 21 people. We had made clear agreements in advance about a special group menu with fixed prices – a proposal that came from Happy Italy itself. In the end, there were 15 of us on the evening itself. I had clearly indicated in advance that some people would not be coming, and that we therefore wanted to order for fewer than 21 people. The staff also noticed this: they counted themselves and knew exactly how many people were at the table. Nevertheless, at the end of the evening, we simply paid for 21 people including drinks. The payment was quick and messy, without a receipt – supposedly due to a malfunction in the system. When I objected to this to manager Rayani, she behaved downright annoying. Instead of apologizing, she started with nonsense stories: that everything was on camera, that “paid is paid”, and that I had confirmed things that I never said. She kept talking, without really listening to us, and tried to talk the problem away instead of solving it. While the staff themselves had seen that there were fewer of us and I had reported it in advance. After much insistence, we finally received a receipt via an assistant. Fortunately, customer service did take our complaint seriously and quickly refunded the overpaid amount. The other staff were also friendly and helpful – the problem really only lay with this manager. Finally, some pizzas were also burnt, which made it even more disappointing. In short: are you going to Happy Italy with a large group? Make sure you record everything in writing, report changes in time, count carefully yourself and always ask for a receipt. And don't let yourself be fobbed off by a manager who refuses to take responsibility. Fortunately, customer service eventually resolved it well, but this experience should never have been so unpleasant.

Super Surprised! Via Social Deal 2 courses: pizza and pasta were good: pizza huge portion and super tasty! Service also great. Nice quick bite to eat.

On Ascension Day we went to eat at a quarter to nine. Online it says they are open until 10 on Ascension Day. (Specifically on Ascension Day) and then we are arrogantly spoken to as ‘the kitchen is already closed’. We won’t be coming here again.

In contrast to the good service, the friendly staff and the delicious food and drinks that we were able to enjoy a while ago, it was considerably less today. There was no greeting upon arrival and even after paying, there was no greeting. The pasta dishes were good, but unfortunately the pizza bases were burnt in several places and the crust was rock hard. The service also left much to be desired: with only three tables occupied, it took more than fifteen minutes before we could order a drink, then after 20 minutes we ordered the food (without the smile that Happy Italy used to adorn us with in the past). When asked if part of the pizza could be wrapped, a box was thrown on the table and we could sort it out ourselves (after all, we had just paid almost 70 euros, so I suspect that no more service was needed). I still have to think very hard about whether there will ever be a next visit. For now, only 2 stars instead of 5 as before. Update after 7 months Yet another visit to Happy Italy Breda despite the fact that our previous visit was not really a success. Unfortunately not much better now although the waitress was very friendly. Upon entering we were led to a small table and it took quite a while before the ordered coffee was brought. Although only a few tables were occupied, there was clearly understaffing. We noticed that this is at the expense of the service (long wait for order). Products were good except for the Italian Mess (lemon lemonade syrup is not lemon curd which made this dessert very disappointing). Conclusion: I still can't make more than 2 stars and a compliment for the service that went out of their way. The chance of a next visit is getting smaller and I will not recommend Happy Italy to others any time soon.

Delicious Fast Really nice staff

We love to go here with our kid. It's as quick as the mc Donalds but you get a simple pasta or pizza. But the best thing is the enormous playground Inside!

The food is not good at all, the service is very bad, it takes a long time to bring your food. It is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at!

Great for a quick pasta and pizza, always busy

We had ordered take away. We would pick it up at half past five, neatly reported at the counter. At a quarter to six we still had nothing. Had to place our order again on the spot, half of our order was sold out which is NOT indicated online. Finally we left with our order at 18:10.

Happy Italy Breda has been going backwards for years. The "fast Italian" has been very slow for quite some time due to poor management and staff shortages. After waiting 25 minutes (with a reservation) we were finally assigned a table. Then we could hardly open the drinks menu because of the large amount of grease stuck to it. Finally, after 20 minutes, the first pastas were delivered, but they were disappointing because half of the ingredients were missing. After asking the waiter for explanation, it turned out that half of the ingredients were unfortunately gone. Apparently it was too much trouble to say this in advance or to offer an alternative. I can't say how the pizzas tasted because after waiting another 25 minutes while enjoying screaming and screeching children, we just went home after paying for the food we had eaten so far. If you really want to eat cheap Italian food, go to Happy Italy Tilburg, or just eat locally.

May 25: After 3 months I try again. Food was fine but not great. Service was downright bad. After waiting 20 minutes after our main course had finished, we still couldn't order anything. Even after asking several times. We had to wait a while. The same applied to getting the bill. Finally we went to the MC for dessert. February 25: The website states that you cannot make reservations during the weekend. After waiting outside for fifteen minutes it turns out that you have to make a reservation and there is no room. There were a lot of people who had not made reservations and left disappointed.

Not a second time at this restaurant for me. Upon arrival I was politely escorted to my table, but from that moment on I had to sort everything out myself. Even though it was clearly visible that I was with two young children, I was told that I had to pick up high chairs myself from the other side of the restaurant. While waiting I was completely ignored. Others were helped, while I sat with two crying children. Finally I decided to order at the counter myself. Unfortunately, half of my order was forgotten, causing me to wait unnecessarily long. When I walked in to ask what was going on, I was just pointed to a table where the food was now sitting—without any explanation or friendliness. The attitude of the staff was downright indifferent and unfriendly. There was not an ounce of hospitality, which made the visit with young children particularly unpleasant.

Delicious food, fast service, plenty of parking, easy to reach

Because our son loves pizza so much, we went to Happy Italy to celebrate his birthday. The pizza was tasty unfortunately we had to eat separately. This was because a pizza was not prepared properly and contained ingredients that we had indicated when ordering that we did not want it due to an allergy. We thought this was quite a shame, but of course something can always go wrong. Unfortunately, this is a recurring problem at the Happy Italy chain, not only at this fortress but also at others. Received a new pizza and was able to enjoy it. When paying we were only surprised that we had to pay an additional 26 euros. We were here with a social deal voucher. 1 pizza and 2 scoops of ice cream per person for 14 euros. They used the cheapest pizza for this promotion. However, we had already indicated 2 social deals when booking and we are coming with an extra child. Reported again upon arrival, no problem. After a lot of hassle because it could not be adjusted on the receipt. We were finally able to pay for the children's pizza and drinks. Despite this, we had a delicious meal, but left the building with a bored aftertaste.

I stated in my reservation that I was coming with my son who is turning 5. Apparently it was overlooked. I will indicate this again upon arrival. No coloring page. No surprise. Not a nice thing for dessert. It's not a top restaurant, I know. But something would have been nice. The food somewhat ok. Hence the second star.

My visit to Happy Italy was a complete success. The modern, inviting ambience was immediately convincing - the humorous murals and the stylish, open design are particularly eye-catching. A real plus point, especially for families: the indoor playground. While the little ones play happily, the adults can relax and enjoy their food. The pizza was a dream - fresh from the oven, wonderfully cheesy and with a beautifully fluffy edge. The homemade lemonade was also a highlight: super refreshing and served with love. You can immediately tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. A saying on the wall sums it up perfectly: "I never met a pizza like you before." – That’s exactly how it felt. A great place for a relaxed meal with family or friends. I'll definitely come back.

Even more organized after internal redesign. Went for takeaway. Order and pay quickly. Prepared quickly and tasty. In new disposable eco containers. Super and definitely recommended

Very disappointing experience Recently arrived at Happy Italy around a quarter to eight. It was relatively quiet; only four tables were occupied. However, we ultimately had to wait more than 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, while guests who arrived after us had already received their food and had even left. When we finally got our food at 9:05 PM, the waitress joked that we were “on the forgotten table.” Very inappropriate, especially considering the fact that the staff continuously walked past our table without noticing or saying anything. As if that wasn't enough, within one minute of us starting to eat, the staff started putting chairs on the tables around us. That made the atmosphere anything but cozy; on the contrary, it felt like we had to leave as soon as possible. In short: very poor service, poor organization and little attention to the guest. No more Happy Italy for me.

Last time here. Ate here with family. Husband and daughter had pizza and I had pasta. Pizzas arrived at the same time and 10 minutes later I had the pasta. They had already finished their pizza and I still had to start. The only positive thing was the waitress who walked her legs out from under her body. What a deception this is. Pasta sauce was watery and virtually tasteless. Never again.

Too bad they judge ethnically whether the kitchen is open or closed, on the site it says open until 10 p.m., and the kitchen closes at 9.30 p.m. At 9 p.m. upon arrival, I was denied access because the gentleman decided on his own to close the kitchen at 9 p.m., while guests were eating inside. The rest of the food is fine, but it's a shame about this choice

Jammer dat ze etnisch beoordelen of de keuken open of dicht is, op de site staat tot 22.00 geopent, 21,30 sluit de keuken. Om 21.00 bij binnenkomst word mij de toegang geweigert, omdat meneer op eigen houtje heeft besloten om de keuken om 21.00 dicht te gooien, terwijl er gewoon gasten binnen zaten te eten. Voor de rest is het eten prima maar jammer van deze keuze. Dit is trouwens zeker niet de eerste keer bij dit bedrijf, heb dit probleem op meerdere locaties gehad
