I really do like the all-you-can-eat concept, but this one is actually a bit disappointing. There are better options in the area with friendlier service.

We went to Happy Italy for a surprise birthday dinner. But unfortunately, it wasn't such a good experience. The service was poor; we weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink and had to ask for it ourselves every time. Empty glasses were not cleared. For dessert, we eventually had to go and ask ourselves if we could order something because they didn't come to the table to take our order. We had asked for fireworks with the main course because of the birthday boy, but this was forgotten too.. The food was tasty, though!

We visit Happy Italy Breda regularly, as the pizzas are simply delicious. In recent years, the pizzas have become much more expensive; the drinks are also pricey, and smaller (cola) bottles are served. The Breda branch is going downhill a bit; the restaurant is almost empty, and then you have to wait another 30 minutes for pizzas that are subsequently cold. The staff is also unmotivated, speaks only English, and is not friendly. The outdoor area is also poorly maintained, with broken tiles and paving that is coming up, posing a tripping hazard. It is a good thing my kids like the food, but it hasn't been "Happy" Italy for a long time.

It took a very long time before we got our drinks. At some point we got our food, which was tasty, but then we still had to ask for our drinks and had to wait a bit longer. It was quite quiet, that wasn't the problem, but they found chatting amongst themselves more important than bringing the drinks.

We made an attempt to eat here today. Upon entering, there were about 80 tables available; the waitstaff then directed us to the queue, where several grumbling people were already standing, having apparently been waiting there for 20 minutes. The waitstaff paid no attention to the queue; no one was escorted to a table. When the queue reached approximately 30 people and no one could enter or leave anymore because the hall was also full, we approached the staff for the third time to ask if people could be taken to a table. After this, we and another couple were finally escorted to a table. Here too, we waited a long time; no one came to take our drinks or food orders. The staff was busy with all sorts of things, but not with the guests or the long queue. Eventually, we left again, without having had anything to drink or eat.

Had a delicious lunch, nice atmosphere, and the pizzas tasted delicious.

Never again, reheated pasta with watery tomato sauce and grilled vegetables from the warming tray... zero atmosphere. Candles on the table dirty and not used, asked if one could be lit but nothing was done about it. This was the third time and never again. Doesn't live up to the name.

I had a delicious meal. Super salmon and spinach pasta. The staff really deserve a pat on the back too. They were all so friendly. A bowl of water for IZZI was placed on the table without me even asking. It is a friendly mix of all kinds of European nationalities. 👍🏼 Great, and now time to relax at home.

My wife, three children, and I had a fantastic meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, and our little one was able to play in a ball pit while we waited for our food. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful evening and the excellent service.

LOTS OF CHOICE AND FRIENDLY STAFF

Very busy and noisy, lots of screaming and crying children. The food was good but not great. I was still finishing my pasta when someone was already at the table asking if we wanted dessert. Happy Italy is nice for quickly wolfing down a pizza or pasta and being back outside within half an hour.

I have been here before, but yesterday was really bad. You were only allowed to come with a reservation, but he didn't suggest that I could reserve immediately. I checked the website myself and placed a reservation. I had to wait 30 minutes until it was time, which wasn't a problem, by the way. Upon arrival, I received the wrong order twice. They don't check properly, even though I showed my table number. Then I had to wait a long time for dessert. I won't be coming here again.

The food tasted good; I missed truffle mayonnaise on my carpaccio salad, whereas my husband did have it on the carpaccio pizza. It was very busy, but even so, we didn't have to wait long for our food.

We had made a reservation for 6:30 PM but stood in line (outside) until 7:00 PM before we got a table. The waitresses were really super friendly. They basically earned the 5 euro tip between the two of them. We had to wait half an hour before we got the pizza. We had the vegan pizza, and I understand that for many that won't be the tastiest, but I've had quite a few good vegan pizzas and this wasn't one of them! It had a crust that was too hard with cold tomato sauce, and stray bell peppers and arugula. It turned out you had to order the plant-based cheese separately, so even that wasn't on it. Blech

The worst pizza doner I have ever eaten. There was no doner to be seen; the chicken doner must have flown right through it. The pizza tasted like nothing. Coke Zero was unavailable. Never again.

Very busy, which meant no service was possible. It wasn't the staff's fault, but everything took a very long time. Ordering via QR code apparently didn't work, despite a confirmation. We discovered this when, after sitting for half an hour, we understood from the waitress who came to take our order that our order hadn't gone through at all... The pizzas finally arrived after an hour; they were fine (unfortunately not very warm). The crowds and staff shortage were really a shame. You don't pay much less here than in a "normal" pizzeria with atmosphere; next time we'll just go somewhere else. In earlier reviews from a week ago, we read that the Cola Zero was out of stock, and that was still the case. That shouldn't be possible.

Had a reservation for 4 people at 5:00 PM. First, I had to wait 20 minutes outside the door before we were shown to the nearest table. Very unnecessary. We were given the menu for one minute before we could order drinks and food right away. We were going to the cinema at 6:30 PM, so we thought we would have enough time; clearly a miscalculation. The host takes the order for 3 people and then asks if we have everything; no, clearly not, because there are 4 people at the table. There was one lady who was actually working, a tall girl with brown hair. The rest of the staff clearly had no interest in their work. I have been to Happy Italy several times before and have never had a positive experience. Will not be coming back.

You know that a restaurant like that is a big gluttony factory where you only go for a quick and affordable bite that isn't deep-fried. And even then, it can turn out to be a nasty disappointment. If the service can't handle it when the restaurant isn't even half full, I don't want to know what happens when it actually is busy. How long do you have to wait for your main course then? But anyway, the food is pretty good.

The location is fine. We were there a few days earlier as well, and even then there was no diet/zero cola. On August 15th, there was no Italian Mess left even around 6:00 PM. Very unusual and very disappointing that there was no diet cola or Italian Mess. Besides the fact that no alternative to the diet cola was offered (even though there were cans in the fridge a few days earlier when we were also dining there!!) and that we only received 2 scoops of ice cream instead of Italian Mess (which doesn't exactly demonstrate hospitality), the lady who served us wasn't the friendliest. The food was fine, but otherwise disappointing. This means we will not be visiting this branch again.

The pizza arrived at the table already cold, and several drinks were no longer available. One was still added to the bill, though. Fortunately, the employee noticed this when settling the bill.

I was really looking forward to having a nice meal here, but it was a huge disappointment. There wasn't even Coke Zero. Was it out of stock?!! And there was only a minimal choice of desserts too, because you guessed it. Everything was gone. And we were there on time, because we had the 6:45 PM movie.

Breda Branch. Last night, we visited Happy Italy for the umpteenth time. This time in Breda. A few years ago, we were negatively surprised by the quality and service (read: we were treated really rudely and even ridiculed), and this time it wasn't much better. It started right away with taking our seats at the table. A waitress came to take our drink order. When we asked if there was sugar-free soda available because of a person with diabetes, we were told quite bluntly and quickly that the Coke Zero was out of stock. When we asked if there were other zero drinks, we were told there weren't. After we had ordered the drinks, we felt it took quite a long time for them to arrive. It turned out, when taking the food order (21 minutes later), that the drink order had been cancelled by the waitress. So we had to do it all over again. When the drinks were brought, it suddenly turned out that zero soda WAS available after all. When we asked if we could then swap the water for the Zero Sprite, the answer was short and irritable. Since I don't want to make the story too long, I will briefly summarize how the rest of our outing went. - Partially incorrect food order (a completely different meal for one person), meaning three-quarters of the party was practically finished when the meal for the fourth person was finally delivered. - We had to ask for extra cheese three times. - We were not asked if everything was to our liking. Had they done so, we could have indicated that two of the three meals were not to our liking. - We were not asked if we wanted anything to drink during the hour we were there. When we waved to the waitress, we were ignored. Our entire section was not visited (but the young men at the entrance to our section were visited more than enough). When my party walked out without me so I could briefly discuss something with the manager, that conversation was rudely and bluntly interrupted by the waitress, who said that my table had walked out without paying. She said to the manager, and I quote: "I'll just go get them." When I told her I was still there to pay, she didn't even recognize me. That says something about the service. The manager told me that this was a new employee. It is very strange that this is always the case. I have actually heard from others that this is the reason for a bad experience. All in all, this was a very unpleasant experience, and we have decided not to go back to Happy Italy. We therefore advise everyone against it. The quality of the food had also deteriorated significantly compared to the past.

Unfortunately, I am of the opinion that the quality at Happy Italy is declining. The pizza size is still generous, but the toppings are limited, apart from the tomato sauce and cheese. For dessert, the children had a kids' ice cream in a cup, which was fine. But the waffle with mascarpone and strawberries for €6.95 was just a supermarket sugar waffle with a smear of mascarpone (not a good one) and, moreover, poor quality strawberries. Happy Italy, don't do this!

Due to the staff shortage, we were not allowed to sit outside (this has been the case all summer). The staff was friendly, though. Coke Zero was sold out on Thursday and still wasn't available on Saturday. We were there today at 5:00 PM and the Italian Mess dessert was already sold out... all very strange. It's a shame; we expect bankruptcy soon. P.S.: You won't get in without a reservation.

Unfortunately, I cannot leave a review because I did not eat at Happy Italy. I had made a reservation, but when I arrived at the restaurant, I simply had to join the long line outside the door. That doesn't seem right to me; if you make a reservation, I assume the table is available and you don't have to wait half an hour to get in. I went somewhere else to grab a bite to eat. This is a real shame.

The lady at reception was very friendly. The rest of the staff clearly weren't in the mood. I then remembered that it was the same last time. Drinks are just plunked down on the table. When dessert was cleared away, I had to ask if they would take away the plates and cutlery from the pizzas that we had finished well over half an hour earlier. The reaction was, "Oh, do you want me to take those?" Only then did he come walking back. It wasn't busy, by the way; two-thirds of the customers had already left.

Unfortunately, the quality of a few years ago is gone. More and more dishes that have nothing to do with Italian cuisine. For dessert, I had Panna Cotta; on top of it was jam from a jar instead of 'red fruit compote'.

The base of the pizza was even tougher than cardboard.

We had a delicious meal. But it seemed like they were actually already closing up. We couldn't choose from several items (waffles and sweet pizza). And while our dessert hadn't arrived yet, another waiter came by our table to tell us that it was the last round of drinks. When the chairs behind us were being placed on the tables, I went to ask if they were closing already, because oh, the website says until 21:30. We arrived between 19:15 and 20:50. I understand it's the holiday season, but guests shouldn't feel like they are being put on shaky ground.

Pasta was lukewarm; after returning it, it came back lukewarm from the kitchen again. Happy Italy is no longer what it used to be.

Pizzas tasty. But service still needs work. Staff ignore you. Mistakes in our order. 2 out of 3 pizzas served incorrectly, and 1 out of 3 pizzas simply forgotten.

The food was fine, the service too, nice girl! Otherwise, the atmosphere was mediocre and the toilets were bad. And if you can't even get spaghetti anymore in a pasta/pizza restaurant before the weekend rush, that is definitely a missed opportunity.

Waiting, waiting, waiting. First upon arrival: no one at reception and it took quite a while. Then no one to take our order, waiting, waiting for the drinks. When the order turns out to be wrong, then number 2 comes. Instead of a mix-and-match, there were 2 pizzas. Next, they argued with us that we had supposedly ordered incorrectly. We got what we wanted twice and that was okay, but apparently not. Pizzas gone, another 4 (!) employees in consultation (with the pizzas getting cold in their hands). If we weren't in a hurry, it was a soap opera: lots of staff but no one knew what to do, running around, and the chef... he must have been on vacation.

It was so bad. We have come to eat at your place often. But this time it was really that bad. At the 🍕, you had to search for the chicken and such. The staff wasn't friendly either. You had to wait a very long time for everything. The bubble tea wasn't how it was supposed to be either. It was supposed to have mint, and neither lemon was in it. I thought it was really bad. And if you said anything about it, you got annoyed. I do think we should get some kind of voucher. Or that the three of us can eat at your expense. I thought it was really bad and the staff was bad.

Terrible. We waited 75 minutes for our food. And we still hadn't received anything. We spoke to various staff members. "It will be here soon," was the answer.

The pastas were inedible and the pizzas were burnt, the pasta bolognese was full of hairs, and the pasta pesto was too sour.

The dishes were very tasty and the staff worked hard, despite the crowds. Unfortunately, we had to wait more than half an hour for our ice cream. When I went to check, five of the six ice creams were already ready on a tray. Next, the employee went to operate the coffee machine first, causing the ice creams to sit there for a few minutes, start to melt, and fruit flies to land on them. Only then was the last ice cream made. When the order was finally served, the scoops were already soft and partially melted. Tip: Finish your ice cream order completely before moving on to other orders.

Unfortunately, Happy Italy is much worse than we are used to. First, they forgot to bring drinks to half the table. Finally, after waiting for an hour, they brought the food. Unfortunately, they forgot to make two pizzas, so everyone at the table had finished eating before the pizzas arrived. The staff is unfriendly and just laughs it all off. We experienced the same problems at this Happy Italy last year. But unfortunately, nothing has changed.

I rarely post a bad review, but I am doing so now. If you have to wait 2 hours for a 2-course meal even though you have a reservation, then your organization is not in order. I asked for water in between and even that took half an hour. Overcrowded restaurant, noise, staff who say yes and do no. Stay away from here.

The sweet girl who helped us didn't write down the order correctly, I think. Anyway, no extra mozzarella was delivered to either pizza, and it turned out it wasn't noted either. We asked a staff member who took the two plates, but they just brought them back because everything had gone well in the kitchen, since they said it hadn't been ordered. We asked another staff member for Affinity, but she didn't understand. Another staff member came over and we explained everything again... end of story: our mood was ruined! Such a shame!!!

The pizza was cold.... had to wait a very long time for the food.. no cushion on the couch to sit on. If you ask for one, you get a snap. The ice cubes in your glass were a puddle of water, not ice.

Ordered online today for 18:30. A pizza and a pasta. We walked in at 18:05, the pizza was already ready. At 18:20 the pasta arrived, but unfortunately the pizza was cold and not fresh, which is what you expect when you specify a time. We pointed this out to the employee, his reaction: "it's just warm anyway," and he walked to the kitchen where the pizza went back into the oven for 1 minute. The result was grease dripping off and the pizza didn't get any fresher. Normally I understand this when it's busy, but there were at most 50 people in the restaurant. Terrible service, a shame...

There is a ball pit for the children, and they are quite noisy. But not really disruptive. Cutting my pizza with a regular knife and fork was like sawing through the base. But it all tasted fine.

Liked -easy parking, no wait on Friday night, industrial decor in a large bright space, quick service, friendly staff. Dislike - the food. Pizza dough was below Dominos grade, but toppings were fresh. However, pasta was overcooked, flavorless and lacked quality ingredients (my shrimp was clearly over frozen).

The food was just meh. Not very tasty. The risotto lacked flavor and looked like it was mixed with potting soil. The pizza was tough, tasteless, too greasy, and dry. The crust was soggy in the middle and rock hard on the outside. Parts of the outside were even completely charred. It took AGES before we were assigned to a table (even though we had a reservation). Waiting for the orders also took a super long time. I think we spent twice as long waiting for the food as we did actually eating it. Also, our plates just weren't cleared; the desserts were served while the entire table was full of plates and glasses. We literally had to ask them to take the plates away to get anything done. The tiramisu either had no ladyfingers at all or only ladyfingers. It was just poorly made, and the spoons we were given were made of wood that literally broke and splintered. The bartender was goated though. Drink was forgotten and he came to bring it personally PLEASE JUST DON'T COME HERE!!!!! it is not worth your money

Worthless experience. The place was practically empty, but we couldn't get a table because we didn't have a reservation. People in front of us *did* get a table without a reservation, with a different employee. The employee who served us insisted that this wasn't possible. Fine, I'm not going to beg to be allowed to eat pizza; we'll just go eat somewhere else. By the way, I saw on the website that I could still make a reservation and thus get in, but after this experience, I didn't feel like doing that anymore. So, we won't be going here again after a movie, a visit to Decathlon, or a day playing at Kabonk.

English-speaking staff... The table is not cleared. The chicken in the pasta is small scraps, whereas earlier there were chunks of chicken.

We had a delicious meal for a birthday. It was a very hot day, but the staff remained friendly and attentive, no matter how busy it was. We will definitely come back here again (or more).

Tasty pizza; the Quatro Stagioni was sufficiently topped and nicely baked. The spicy chicken pizza could have used more chicken; there was hardly any chicken to be seen. The lemonades were also tasty, a full glass. The service was friendly and quite quick. However, it was still early after opening. So, overall a positive experience, especially with children present.

I must say I was very satisfied with my restaurant visit. Making a reservation online for 10 people was incredibly quick. We were greeted very warmly at the door and shown to our table. The drinks (5 minutes) and the food arrived after about 30 minutes, which we thought was great. All the food was piping hot. The restaurant was quite full, so it was a bit noisy, but it was still easy to have a conversation. Finding someone to pay was a little difficult at the end, and I didn't like that we couldn't split the bill. All in all, a nice visit.

The food was fine, the service, on the other hand, was downright bad. We had to wait well over an hour for our food. We pointed this out to the wait staff several times, but they just laughed it off. Only when the manager went to inquire did they start preparing the food. When the wait staff comes to the table, you can't hear what they're saying because they speak so softly, and they just place the food and drinks on the table. You have to figure out for yourself who ordered what. It could have been a bad day, or we might just have been that one table where everything went wrong. In any case, it certainly wasn't good. In any event, we didn't feel like having dessert anymore.

Way too long wait times, disorganized service, poor pizza. This has nothing to do with Italy, and you certainly won't be happy here. No wonder they have to lure customers via Social Deal. To the manager: read all the reviews below and do something about it.

Great food and fast service, but the real star of the evening was our waiter Appie. Incredibly friendly, funny, and he made sure we felt truly welcome. You don't experience service like that very often. Give that man a raise! We will definitely be back!

The pizzas have no taste, are overcooked, and the service is bizarrely slow! It wasn't busy at all; 3 or 4 tables were occupied, and we still had to wait almost 45 minutes.... It doesn't make me happy, and it has nothing to do with Italy....

We hadn't made a reservation, but after waiting for 5 minutes, we were able to sit all the way at the back of the restaurant where the sun was shining through the window and was unbearable. With an outside temperature of 33 degrees, you can imagine how hot it was behind the glass. It made us feel unwell. The pizzas were very poorly topped; I had a smoked salmon pizza, but the salmon was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was a bag of arugula with Parmesan cheese on top, and you really pay 17.45 euros for that – truly pathetic. The Mix Match pizza was a Margarita, and the other half was tuna with onion. Now, the pizza from the supermarket freezer is even worse. Ordering in English isn't clear either, because the bread rolls were forgotten to be served; we just had to go get them ourselves. Because we were feeling unwell from the heat, we wanted to leave and decided to pay and take the pizzas to go; you have to pay for that too, which is bizarre, such bad service. Never again for us. You really should respond better to the reviews, because it would be better if there was compensation for the complaints; only then would you actually provide service. People really don't go back on a reply from you! Absolutely never again for us!!

I have never seen such a bad pizza in my life. The cheese was of very low quality, probably the cheapest one can find on the market. The dough seemed to be made with cheap flour that might be easy to use, but has absolutely no taste. If you want to regret your money, come to this place. For me, this was the first and last time. Too bad, because you have a great reputation in the Netherlands. I hope that those in charge finally hire a real pizza baker who understands what pizza means. €13 for a Margherita? Truly unbelievable 😮‍💨😮‍💨 The person responsible for this place should be ashamed.
