El servicio de camareros le pongo un 1 en general y un 0 en particular al camarero que nos cobró que se quedó con la vuelta y tuvimos que reclamársela, y no se le había olvidado porque no había más clientes. Cuando se la reclamamos nos lo dió si justificar nada, de hecho al pagarle, rompió el ticket y guardó el dinero, ya que pagamos en efectivo. Para tener propina hay que ganársela y el servicio no fue para propina y mucho menos quedársela sin preguntar

After working at the very busy Ibiza Market on 21-06 on the square in front of the restaurant Hart van Sluis we sat down on the terrace with friends to recover from this great day. We got a drink from Sophie to toast to the great day and what a nice friendly hostess she is. The service was great, nice friendly young ladies who brought the orders quickly and neatly, the tapas we ordered were delicious. We will definitely come back!

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience. At first, the three waiters ignored us. Guests who arrived after us received their drinks quickly and efficiently. So we drew attention to ourselves and were able to order our two drinks. After another 15 minutes, we politely asked for more. But it seemed like it would take a while. When a new guest sitting directly in front of us also received their drink, that was enough, and we left. I'm annoyed by such indifference, incompetence, or was it perhaps even intentional?

For the first time in all those years very disappointed. My husband called miss can you come here none of the 2 ladies answered whereupon I turned around and called miss and at that moment I saw that she was holding a high chair. She came to our table before we could order she first shared her displeasure and how rude I was. I was rooted to the spot and wanted to leave immediately but my husband made a sign of leave it. I have never seen the waitress there. It was also not busy we were alone in the shop.

We had 3 pieces of meat that were all supposed to be medium cooked. However, they all differed greatly in color on the inside. Had to send one back because it was very rare. Service was very good and there was a nice atmosphere.

Beautiful location in the heart of the cozy Sluis. We have been here before. The service was always impeccable and friendly. There is an extensive menu with almost exclusively top dishes. We will come here again.

We had dinner. Food was great and service very friendly. Had to wait for a long time, looked like there wasn’t enough personnel for the tables booked. Still, would recommend it since the food is very good and wine combination very tasty.

Op de website staat er " ruime keuze voor veganisten en vegetarieers"!!! Op hun menu ter plaatse vind he enkel een tapasplankje...echt groot bedrog , en voor iemand die geen lactose mag moet he daar zeker al niet zijn...een simpele salade zonder vlees , vis of kip mag je vergeten...een groot verschil bij 9 jaar terug...voor ons is het hier afgesloten.

Very tasty food, but unfortunately I had to eat it with my aperitif (picon vin blanc). However, we explicitly asked the waitress about this, she assured us that this dish would wait some time, so that we could enjoy our aperitif. However, I had barely drunk 4 sips of my picon when the food was already on the table. We had the chance to send it back, but what do you get, food that is kept warm, .... You therefore missed out on a spa fizz and a bottle of white wine. We weren't actually asked this anymore. Desserts were requested, but we no longer wanted this on principle. The waitress apologized and said that she was only new and THOUGHT that the food would take some time.... Too bad, eating out already costs quite a bit of money and people get frustrated if this is not pleasant, if you get the feeling that people want you out as quickly as possible. Btw, this is the first time I am writing a review, despite eating out a lot and being 51 years old.

I ordered the veggie croque (€12.75) with a cappuccino (€3,75). The portion size was generous, and the price-to-value ratio was great. It came with four slices, each filled with a generous amount of cheese and tomato, along with a side of salad and tapenade. However, the toast became a bit soggy due to the filling over time.

Nice place in the center of Sluis. I appreciated the decor, reasonable prices, varied menu (fish, meat, tapas, some veggie dishes, etc.). Food ok but nothing more for me. My veggie burger was a little burnt. It’s true that I didn’t tell the staff. We received our dish at the same time as the starter, 45 minutes after our arrival. A little long waiting time with a child.

What a super good restaurant. Tastefully decorated. Staff very friendly. Food was great. The dog is allowed inside. We ate there twice and chose something different from the menu twice, but both were very good. You can taste that they work with quality products

Lekker menu gegeten , Het mocht alleen iets sneller achter elkaar komen en iets warmere borden . Maar dit heeft ons niet weerhouden om te genieten . We hadden een vlotte goedlachs , joviaal met een klein pittig kantje dame in de bediening staan , zeer mondig , maar ideaal om alles goed in t oog te houden . Wij waren er zeer blij mee . We komen terug !

August 7, 2022, 7:15 PM You can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the belfry or the shopping street. We sat inside and were amazed by the beautiful interior with wood, green tiles and inside the terraces with iron and gold. Beautifully made, we asked the waiter what the building was in front of it, he said that there was nothing here and it was completely made that way. We ordered a tonic and a red wine (Merlot), lots of choice of different wines in a glass. After this, Roman ordered a steak with mushroom sauce, fries and the arugula salad with parmesan. Because this is their flagpole, I ordered the famous Black Angus Burger (B.A.B. as they abbreviate it). After 13 minutes everything was coming our way, you could immediately taste the fries, nicely fried in clean oil, the steak cooked perfectly to point (I'm still looking for a good tavern or bistro where they can do this) with good seasoning. The mushroom sauce was served separately in a jar on his plate and was heavenly (even with the gravy from the pan mixed in). On his plate a stripe of paprika sauce (extremely delicious), a warm tomato, a peeled potato (no added value for us due to the requested fries). For Roman, the arugula salad lacked some vinaigrette, was a bit dry, but fresh and even the few pine nuts were roasted. The B.A.B. (black angus burger) the bun was nice and crispy, the burger had a mini piece of bacon, a mini piece of cheese, 8 small strings of onion, 1 lettuce leaf and the poop of a tomato in it, with no sauce in between, we think it was because of the pure taste of the well-fried (almost too far) black angus burger. Maybe offer ketchup/mayo/mustard with the burger or just a meat gravy (gravy) in a separate jar that you can dip into. With the fries we did get a small tube of Zaanse mayonnaise per person, which was nice and you immediately knew that the jars are not reused. After this, Roman had a port and Hans a latte machiatto. We will come back here because they had other tasty things on it.

Very friendly service from the start till the end. They managed to find a spot so out dog could join. Two of us picked the 3-course menu that has sufficient choices and we took different options. We were both happy with the choices - well prepared and sufficient portions. We did not feel rushed although it was rather busy, so we were able to enjoy a nice evening.

We have been coming to Hart van Sluis for several years. Today the service was unfortunately below par... When we entered we were asked without greetings 'food or drink?' A good afternoon is a good start... I ordered a Tonissteiner fruit basket for my daughter, to which the response was 'lemon or orange?'. I replied that I would like to order a fruit basket, to which I said 'lemon or orange?' again, with a big eye roll. I replied that I saw on the menu that there was also a fruit basket. The answer was blunt; I have already asked for lemon or orange twice because there is no fruit basket. I understand that you are out of stock for certain items, but you can indicate this in a different, more customer-friendly way. A shame, but next time we'll just pass by. I don't want to sit somewhere where I don't feel welcome and where I'm so rudely snapped at.

Wij komen al enkele jaren in Hart van Sluis. Vandaag was de bediening helaas beneden alle peil … Bij t binnen komen werden we zonder groeten gevraagd ‘eten of drinken?. Een goeiemiddag is een mooie begin… Ik bestelde een tonissteiner vruchtenkorf voor mijn dochter, waarop werd geantwoord ‘citroen of orange?’. Ik antwoorde dat ik graag vruchtenkorf wou bestellen, waarop nogmaals ‘citroen of orange?’, met een grote oogrol erbij. Ik antwoorde dat ik op de kaart zag staan dat er ook vruchtenkorf was. Bot werd geantwoord; ik vraag al twee keer citroen of orange want er is geen vruchtenkorf. Ik snap dat je out of stock zit van bepaalde artikelen, maar je kan dit op een andere, klantvriendelijkere, manier aangeven. Jammer voorval, maar volgende keer lopen wij gewoon voorbij. Ik wil niet ergens zitten waar ik me niet welkom voel en zo ontzettend bot toegesnauwt word.

I had dinner here yesterday (12/15) with my boyfriend for my 19th birthday. It was very tasty and we both enjoyed it. Despite an almost full restaurant, it was still so quiet at the same time. The atmosphere was good, the interior is all different styles but somehow everything fits together so well. We will definitely come back!

I have been coming to this catering business for about 30 years. I even celebrated my wedding there. But what happened today.... We wanted to have something to drink after a walk. It was quite busy and we looked for a seat. A lady came to us. She was not recognizable as working there because she was not wearing the clothes that the rest of the staff were wearing. She asked if we wanted to eat or just have a drink. We indicated that we wanted something to drink. There was no room for that. To eat... Surprise on my part. I understand that people want to make money, but is my hard-earned euro worth less than that of someone else who does eat something? Is it just me that I don't find this customer friendly? In the meantime, a table became available where we could have a drink.... we did this, but I didn't feel welcome at all.... I think that after 30 years I will look for another catering business in Sluis that also serves local citizens. welcomes those who "just" come and have a drink.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside but a really cool restaurant from the inside. The food tastes very good, the service is friendly and attentive. There is a large selection of tapas, so very good if you want a drink and a bite to eat. A reservation is recommended.

Very unfortunate... actually we have lost a bit of the north of it. Our story, dinner this afternoon, aperitif lunch, bottle of wine and more than excellent service. A Flemish girl served us, knew what she was selling and was very friendly. Later she said that she worked here 1 day a week but she really enjoyed her job and you noticed that. After our meal we closed to enjoy our wine and another drink outside on the terrace. We settled with the friendly girl but closed afterwards to have something extra to eat. After all, we were in a nice place during our holiday. When we wanted to pay for this, inside, of course, because my partner immediately went to the toilet, he heard tell, by 2 servers other than the friendly girl, that those 2 gays brrrrr haven't paid yet..... Excuse me???? In fact, we are 2 gays, a respectable couple who like to eat and drink well...we do not want to be spoken to like that and certainly not after an afternoon of heavy consumption. Too bad for the beautiful place, the chef who cooked excellently and the friendly girl, but next time we will pass by with a detour.

Whenever we are in Sluis we have lunch here, over the years, because it has always been good here. This time we both had a sandwich. The veggie and the Hawaii. You get enough, there are 2 on your plate. Plate is neatly laid out with sauce and salad. You would say the price is also there. Thick white, half-cooked slices of bread with scant toppings. Both sandwiches soggy from old fat or what they were fried in? Both suffered from acid reflux all afternoon. The Hawaiian had 1 slice of pineapple on top intended for the 4 half parts? The veggie was 20% invested, not worth mentioning. When we asked whether we had liked it, we indicated the above, only about the veggie and the answer was: Oh yes, I have never had this myself, I will ask in the kitchen. We didn't see her again and paid at the bar. Shame.

Excellent welcome and service in this magnificent restaurant. The setting is truly unique with an industrial style given by the large glass windows on the ceiling. You can eat tapas or more classic dishes (vol-au-vent seems to be a specialty). We were served quickly with a smile. We only ate croques madame with a portion of mayonnaise fries 😋

Hier met vrienden de verjaardag van Brijan gevierd. Kozen voor het gemak het keuze menu van € 39. Keuze uit 5 voorgerechten 5 hoofdgerechten en 5 nagerechten. Alle gerechten vond iedereen voortreffelijk. Hadden carpacio, gewokte mosselen, vissoep vooraf. Varkenshaasje, scampies en kabeljouw als hoofdgerecht. Als dessert panacotta en Irisch koffie. Als afsluiting nog een lekkere koffie. De gerechten waren allemaal goed warm. Vriendelijke en ondanks de plaatselijke modeshow vlotte bediening. Kunnen de slechte recensies niet begrijpen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

After a cycle ride out from Bruges, my son and I had lunch here. One of the best Stoofvlees I have ever had. Period. His burger was also great. Service was friendly and fast. A really cool place to eat and drink.

We regularly come to the Hart van Sluis. Two years ago I gave a very good 5 star review, but the last few times we found the quality of the food to be very poor. The stew was horrible and the salad was also not tasty. Last time I found the hamburger really unappetizing and my wife also said that she no longer liked it at all. For that price we obviously expect better food than in the chip shop. The location, the building and the atmosphere are great, the service is also good. It has been the custom for our friends to eat with us in the Hart van Sluis for years and we have nice memories there, but we really don't feel like going there anymore because of the food. If it were up to us, we wouldn't come back. However, if our friends do choose to come back, I hope they can convince us again, then I will be happy to adjust my review.

Normally our go-to restaurant, especially the Tapas is a great midday snack but unfortunately the food has gotten worse. The fries were wobbly and not really seasoned and the Spaghetti with shrimp and tomatoes was bland, tasteless. On the upside the tatar, burger and stoveflees were delicious so its hard to judge.

39 euro set menu was exceptional. The service and atmosphere was also exceptional. Thank you so much. We highly recommend.

Had dinner at Hart van Sluis yesterday. I had a vegetarian burger, the bun was cold and unfortunately the burger was only lukewarm. There is still room for improvement in terms of taste. The fries were very soggy as if they had been prepared for a long time. It's a shame I had hoped for more at a price of 20 euros. The service was quite ok.

We werden zeer onvriendelijk geholpen rond het middaguur. 2 kale kroketten met paar stokbroodjes voor €18. Kleine meid die zin had in een pannenkoek die werd zonder pardon afgeserveerd, want het was nog geen 14:00 uur!! Eten was wel prima, qua kwaliteit weinig op aan te merken. De bediening kan wel een cursus klantvriendelijkheid gebruiken.

Heel onvriendelijk personeel, 2 kaaskroketten voor 17 euro gewoon op het bord zonder meer. In een frituur word je vriendelijker behandeld voor veel minder geld. Toiletten stonken verschrikkelijk
