HarTeluk restaurant Natuurpark Lelystad in Buitengebied

We ordered hot chocolate. I'm always used to quality at Harteluk. This hot chocolate was just powder with water. Very watery, even with whipped cream. A real shame.

Yesterday, chocolate milk was chocolate powder mixed with hot water: it shouldn't be called 'chocolate MILK'!

A modern lunch menu, fast, courteous service, and a lovely, cozy outdoor terrace. The dishes are nicely presented, but quite expensive. A croquette sandwich (albeit with too much bread, some dry lettuce, no dressing, mustard sauce, or vegetable chips) for €9.85 could be cheaper in my opinion, and without any unnecessary decorations.

We stumbled upon Har Teluk Restaurant while visiting the Natuurpark, and it was a wonderful discovery. It's more than just a snack bar: beautifully presented dishes, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The setting is pleasant, perfect for a break after a walk. Quick and friendly service. A place to remember for a simple yet high-quality meal!

It's great that they're serving at the table again! It's still a lovely spot for a cup of coffee with a delicious apple pie or a tasty lunch.

The sandwiches were a huge disappointment and we got the last small fries...all for a hefty price.

What a terrible company. HAJE owns it. How can a restaurant run so poorly? Most customers complain about everything: service, food, billing, etc. Unfortunately, Restaurant Barends has closed down. That was great. I'm even considering staying a member of Natuurpark. They should never have hired you. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IS BAD. The customer suffers. Never again with your organization.

Had lunch here between two walks. Friendly and quick service. The sandwich I ordered was reasonable considering the price.

Very friendly staff. The sandwiches, pulled chicken, etc. are highly recommended. Great value for money!

Terrible cuisine and poor service. The croquette sandwich was served with an unappetizing bun. The bun was ice cold (probably from the refrigerator). The cheese sandwich was made with a similar bun. The cheese had melted next to it, leaving a cheeseless, disgusting bun. No apology or discount for complaints.

We had a lovely afternoon walking in Lelystad Nature Park with our lovely family. Afterwards, we enjoyed sandwiches, coffee, and cake on the terrace with a beautiful view. We will definitely do this again. Our dog loved it too.

Avoid this place. It was good a year ago, but since it changed owners its all gone downhill. Higher prices and bad quality food. Sandwiches you order used to have fresh white or dark bread, now you get a factory made dry chunk of tasteless crap. And all that for 12 euros. Was €8 with the previous owner and better quality. I don't mind to pay a little more but expected the quality to remain the same. Such a shame.

Achteruit gegaan. Mooi terras, maar regelmatig kletsnatte tafels en stoelen zodat mensen maar binnen gaan zitten. Je kunt een doekje vragen en dan mag je zelf aan de slag. Terwijl er 5 man personeel rondloopt en er weinig gasten zijn. Er wordt veel over geklaagd.

A real improvement after the renovation. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Comfort is high. Cappuccino is very weak. Coffee is very strong.

Such a shame. I've been coming here for almost 30 years, and I see it deteriorating. After the renovation, they opted for a McDonald's-style setup, with a limited menu and a similar kitchen. They've since reversed this approach, resulting in the kitchen no longer being able to cope when it gets busier. Furthermore, the price-quality ratio is extremely poor. The food is still McDonald's-level, but unfortunately, the prices aren't. Furthermore, the staff is unprofessional. In the past year, my order has gone wrong four times. These included charging for a bottle of wine instead of a glass, waiting an hour for my order and insisting it was on its way when I asked, charging for my bill twice, and today charging for bitterballen (meatballs) that never arrived, despite repeated inquiries. I think if I ever return, I'll limit my order to a drink or ice cream. Again: such a shame.

Yesterday I tried to grab a bite to eat and a drink here after a walk in the park. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I placed my order, and then it was time to wait. After 20 minutes, nothing had been served, not even drinks. A waitress even came by to ask if we'd ordered yet. After half an hour, the food arrived, but still no drinks. I really don't understand how that's possible, even when it's busy. How hard can it be to serve two drinks within 10 minutes? At that point, I was completely done with it. I told them they could cancel the entire order and left. This was the first and last time. Good Luck for me.

Unaware that Haje was no longer in charge, we wanted to treat a couple of friends to lunch. We had already praised Haje's lunches quite a bit. But what an incredible disappointment awaited us. It started with the extremely meager menu. A handful of sandwiches and two soups (tomato and vegetable soup) and a few desserts. Everything was charged at shockingly high prices. No hamburgers, no satay, no fried eggs, no salads, etc. Anyway, we had a farmer's omelette sandwich (serves 3) and a lunch platter (serves 1). The lunch platter consisted of a cup of soup, an unfolded brown roll with a croquette on one half and a few slices of cheese on the other, cucumber, some dry lettuce without dressing, and three slices of tomato and a few slices of egg (which was supposed to be a healthy sandwich). The omelette sandwich consisted of a good-quality brown roll without butter and two strips of omelette. No folded round omelet as usual, but two bars (the shape and thickness of chocolate bars, but made with egg and vegetables; I can't describe it any better). Apparently, heated up in pre-packaged containers straight from the microwave. Incidentally, they were still cold. Then on to dessert. You could choose from soft serve ice cream in a radar tower, a wafer cone, or a sundae with sauce, sprinkles, or other child-friendly decorations. The wafer cone turned out to be a cookie tower filled with soft serve, and the sundae turned out to be a cookie cup filled with soft serve. The soft serve ice cream and the cookie were, however, of excellent quality. The whole thing cost me €68. The service consisted of a couple of extremely friendly and attentive young ladies, so I only left a €4 tip. But they won't be seeing me for lunch there again. They will, however, be there for the coffee on the lovely terrace, which is excellent.

Unfortunately, since Haje left, the food here has been really bad. We ordered two sandwiches, both quite expensive. The warm goat cheese sandwich was literally cold, and the healthy sandwich (10 euros) had poor filling and very dry bread. We won't be coming back.

The staff was very friendly. It was great to sit outside. We were pleased that they served large Cokes (0.33). The usual 0.2 is quite small.

I agree with previous reviews. Unfortunately, after Hajé left, everything went downhill, except for the price. Drinks are ordered first, but arrive later than the food. When asking about dietary requirements (in this case, lactose-free), there's nothing on the menu. Therefore, don't mention on the menu that dietary requirements can be accommodated. There was only one coconut "cake" available, even though it was gluten-free and lactose-free. A huge disappointment for the second time, so we thank HarTeluk for a third try. The park remains beautiful for walking, and the restaurant is also beautifully located, so it was a missed opportunity. We will definitely come back for the walks, also because this park is so accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Plenty of spots for a delicious picnic to enjoy the peace and quiet and the wildlife. A missed opportunity for the restaurant!

Very nice location, not expensive at all, but food was mediocre. We ordered a goat cheese sandwich (the strange thing was that the menu only said "goat cheese sandwich" but not what was included). We think it was a ready-made sandwich that was heated in the microwave. The sandwich was a bit sticky and the goat cheese had little taste. Next time we will try something else (second chance).

Beautiful surroundings, nothing to complain about in the park. The restaurant HarTeluk however. A lot of service is walking around, yet you can wait a long time for the order or it doesn't come at all. When addressed there is denial and the blame is placed on the customer. A terrible shame for this restaurant with a bit of good management it is a beautiful park and a nice place to stay for a bite to eat and a drink. HarTeluk, take this to heart and do something about the service, own areas to serve etc.

Good food and price was also reasonable. Nice view too. There were a lot of staff walking around. It is a pity that you have to pay €4 to park even if you are only there for a short while. Also the ceiling is strange. All in all definitely recommended.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the reviews after the renovation. Something like that should improve things, but unfortunately the opposite is true. Admittedly, the interior has improved, but that's about it. The quality of the food and even the drinks (and I'm talking about the wine) has clearly deteriorated and at the same time has become a lot more expensive. The service (which was always excellent) is completely gone, there is now no longer any form of service. And despite the new interior, the friendly atmosphere that always existed has now completely disappeared. Too bad about this. I understand that in these times when everything is becoming more expensive, prices are going up. But in any case, make sure that you maintain or even improve your quality and do not suddenly sell bad wine, scanty sandwiches and halve the total offering for more money.

On Sunday afternoon 6-4-25 we spent a day in the nature park with a friend and our 2 dogs and ended up in the restaurant for something to eat. The map is simple. Fries with snacks and some other things. You won't find things like schnitzel or satay, but despite that there was still quite a choice. Ordering is done via a QR code. This way you can easily browse through the map, adjust it and immediately see what you have lost. We opted for fries, croquettes and the chicken things with chili sauce. And how delicious it was. Especially the fries. In skin with lots of salt. The snacks were delicious too. The same with the soft ice cream. And the fact that they even arrived with dog treats was really nice. We were also asked if we wanted a bowl of water for them. It is definitely recommended to eat here after a day in the nature park.

For the first time after the renovation, we had lunch at Harteluk, formerly Hajé, after a walk. What a disappointment. Prices have gone up but the quality of food and service have gone down. Little choice on the digital menu and several sandwiches are also sold out. The location remains great, but it is better to have lunch somewhere else. Tip to the operator: take a look at the Test Lab in the Waterloopbos and you will see how it can be done.

Looking for a nice table on a Sunday afternoon. Placed an order via the table QR code. Sandwiches were expensive, but we wanted to treat ourselves to a tasty, healthy sandwich. We come to HarTeluk regularly – or well, we came regularly. Since the renovation, the place looks nicer and the acoustics have improved, but otherwise it is mainly a metamorphosis in the wrong direction. The food? Downsized. The service? Disappeared. The experience? Well, let's call it 'nature experience', because you now have to hunt for your order yourself. Where you used to be able to get a tasty salad or sandwich, the choice is now so limited that you almost feel the urge to eat a sandwich at home. And if you order a sandwich, you happily pay ten euros for it - without the luxury of choosing between white or brown. But don't worry, you will get Doritos chips with it! Well, 'chips'... the last time there was mainly some orange crumb dust on our plate, because apparently the bag was almost empty. Dipping in the sauce? Forget it. And then the self-service... what do you mean, atmosphere? You will be given a beeper and you can wait until it goes off. Exactly like the chip shop in the zoo. A hot lunch experience? Not really. Although I have to admit: if they also let animals run free, it might become a bit more fun. In short, a shame about what once was a nice lunch spot after a long walk! Not the price. €4.95 for a regular cup of coffee is high, even with the current price of coffee. As loyal visitors to the Lelystad Nature Park, this was the last time at Hartuluk.

After the renovation, prices are sky high, ridiculously high even. €12.45 for 2 croquettes. With nasty chips and no greenery. Fries too salty. For this price, there isn't even any controls included. My mother-in-law wanted a treat, but we couldn't let her pay for it. Ridiculous, I will never come here again. The restaurant itself looks neat. But the toilets are filthy. The toilets were last cleaned last night at 3 p.m. today.

I understand that charging almost €11 euros for a double-folded farmer's omelette sandwich... well, you don't want people to see that in advance, but better only when paying... I have been walking here with my wife for many years, so I have been able to experience a change a few times. However, I must conclude that the latest renovation is not for the better. - it has suddenly become self-service. But the prices have not decreased. - the renovation has made it a bit more spacious, it seems, but the atmosphere is less. - the gluten-free pastries are gone, so my wife can no longer eat anything here. Very unfortunate, as allergies were initially taken into account. - the same with my apple strudel. It seems like everything that was a little different had to go. As standard as possible, finishing people as quickly as possible. The only positive thing I can actually report is the hygiene. Everything is clean, and the toilets also receive the necessary attention. Even after a busy Sunday like today, these still look relatively neat. Nowadays I feel like I'm in a roadside restaurant when I'm here, but for a higher price. While there are simply better alternatives within a short distance. From now on I will get my final coffee and pastry at Van der Valk.

The 2 stars are definitely for the location. The service also did its best and was friendly. The prices are incredibly high. Of course, you pay for the location. But the sandwiches were child-sized and too sparsely filled. We are not big eaters but we were still hungry. You don't expect that when you spend over 30 euros for 2 sandwiches and a drink. Parking costs are additional. For these amounts you should expect larger portions, or add a salad next to it. Or at least put the sauce in a nice container instead of a bag. That's fine if you're going to be in this price range, but raise the level a bit. Then the price, in combination with the location, is in proportion.

After waiting more than 45 minutes and asking three times, our lunch for 4 people finally arrived. Forgotten by the kitchen…. Many people who came after us had already had their food. It was because we were with the grandchildren, otherwise we certainly wouldn't have kept waiting!

A restaurant in a beautiful place, nice to sit there after a walk in the Nature Park. When we were there it was quite busy. It soon became apparent that they could not handle the crowds well. Employees came to ask several times if you wanted to order something, even if you had already done so. We had to wait quite a long time for our food. People who arrived much later than us also received their food a lot earlier. Next to us was an older couple who had already waited half an hour and when they went to inquire where their food was, it turned out that the order had not gone through. This in combination with a waitress who kept sighing, rolling her eyes and clearly showing her irritation (which was not made clear), made us not feel completely at ease here and we felt the name HarTeluk was a bit misplaced. found. The food was delicious, this made up for a lot :) You can buy an exit ticket for the parking lot for €2.75 instead of the €3 you normally pay.

Happy? They better call it Krentegen! Ordered beef sausage sandwich with egg and pickle. Served without egg and with two thick slices of bread with three wafer-thin slices of beef sausage. Just walked to the counter and made a friendly comment about it. I get it back again, this time with egg, but just as sparsely topped. Too bad about the beautiful location, where we used to regularly go for a nice walk and a nice bite to eat. But unfortunately that's over with this miserly chef. What a pathetic sandwich for almost 12 euros...

Tegenwoordig is het geen Haje meer, maar Harteluk. Ze kunnen het beter Krenterug noemen. Broodje ossenworst besteld, met ei en augurk. Wordt geserveerd zonder ei en met twee dikke boterhammen met drie flinterdunne plakjes ossenworst. Even naar de balie gelopen om er vriendelijk een opmerking over te maken. Krijg ik het weer terug, deze keer mèt ei, maar nog net zo karig belegd. Jammer van deze mooie locatie, waar we vroeger regelmatig kwamen om lekker te wandelen en een gezellig een hapje te eten. Maar met deze krenterige kok is dat wel over helaas. Wat een zielig broodje …

Excellent gluten-free bread available. Humus with grilled vegetables is a safe option without gluten or dairy.

We weren't allowed to order food at 1:30 PM because it was too busy while half the tables were empty. Also had to wait a long time for drinks.

Just had lunch, had 3 children's pancakes for grandson, they looked like they were made of rubber, even the child didn't like them, together with a ham/cheese sandwich for myself was actually just bread that had been baked, cut way too thick and almost no ham and cheese in between, all in all not worth the money! Bediening vriendelijk. Regelmatig een soepje en panini gegeten,was altijd een lekkere gevulde panini. Vandaag Panini gegeten, buiten de enorme prijsverhoging was de Panini een stuk kleiner en klef en matig gevuld. Conclusie te duur geworden en kwaliteit fors achteruit.

The truffle burger was delicious. Tasty meat, fresh bun and well topped. The young staff is fast and friendly.

Previously our favorite lunch place, today was the first time since the name change, it hasn't gotten any better, sandwich for almost 7 euros that tastes like croma and dry tuna sandwich on a 3cm thick piece of cardboard (previously you could opt for nice crispy Turkish bread ) for 11 euros, was the last time.

6 euros for a sandwich and 7 euros for a plate of fries. I don't know what kind of monkey herb the owner smoked here, but he started using the doubler. Many festivals are cheaper

Until now, this was one of my favorite places to visit with cycling and walking groups. The name Hajé restaurant has been changed to HarTeluk and apparently so has the policy. The separate payment service has been abolished. Something that had never caused any problems before. Very difficult if you come with groups and have to collect cash and/or work with tags.

After you have had a lovely walk in the nature park, you can enjoy lunch here or enjoy a coffee/tea with cake. Good price, good food and you can bring your dog inside!

Of the various Haje restaurants, this one is perhaps the least attractive in terms of design. It is a bit reminiscent of a sports canteen. But your attention is still focused on the view and that is beautiful. The food came quickly and was very tasty. Despite the full store, everything ran smoothly. We had a carpaccio without bread and the extended carpaccio with farmland bread. All very tasty.

Prima plek om ff aan te sterken tijden een tocht over de snelweg. Hondse behandeling door een jongeman vandaag. Extra betalen voor toilet ok, omdat ik het terugkrijg als ik wat koop. Wij lunchen en bestellen en betalen online (helpen ze dus). Vraag ik later om de vouchers in te leveren kan dit niet omdat ik al betaald heb. Het gaat wel even duren voor ik hier weer kom! Wat een slechte service, gadver!

We hebben heerlijk gezeten. We vroegen een ice koffie. Dit stond niet op de kaart maar werd persoonlijk voor ons gemaakt. We hebben er nog wat lekkernijen bij besteld en deden nog een rondje om het af te leren. De rekening was een verrassing. Nog geen 20 euro. Dat met het uitzicht over het water maakte het een heerlijk uurtje genieten.

What a lovely place to visit, in a forest with waking routes to see all the fauna. The cafe has a simple menu but closed at 6, it would do well to open later in the summer for those looking for awesome sunset views, but I digress. Nice food and atmosphere for a price you may expect to pay to support the area. Staff were attentive until an order was placed but I guess that’s also par for the course. Will continue to go again and I recommend the tuna salad sandwich.

Op weg naar Friesland dachten we vooraf hier even koffie te drinken. Blijkt het dat om een kopje te koffie te kunnen drinken je € 3.- moet betalen om te parkeren. Kennelijk omdat het een locatie is bestaande uit een bezoekerscentrum bij een natuurgebied en dit restaurant. Kom je normaal bij een Hajé restaurant dan hoef je niet te betalen om te parkeren. Overigens deed dit niets af aan de smaak van de koffie of aan de bediening.

Lekker bakkie. prachtig uitzicht vanaf het terras. Zeer aardige bediening.

Ik kom een of twee keer per week bij haje. Tot een paar weken terug was de bediening uitstekend, snel en vriendelijk. Nu moet je veel langer wachten op de bediening en dan leverde die vandaag ook nog het verkeerde. Teleurstelling na de eerdere ervaringen. Ligt het aan het vakantiepersoneel ?

Super vriendelijke bediening, dachten goed mee en alles was mogelijk voor ons groepje. Snelle service en lekkere lunch en gebak. Daarnaast zit het natuurlijk op een prachtige locatie.

Ik het cappusino gedronken maar schrok wel van de prijs vorige week was het nog 1 euro 90 maar moet nu 3 euro 20 betalen dat is wel 30 euro cent meer als vorige, week. Dus kom ik niet meer koffie drinken echt schandalig als u zo door gaat met de prijs verhogingen dan zal u het wel merken dat er minder gasten komen. Wij zijn ontevreden gasten.

Heerlijk eten na lange tijd wachten. Maar het was heerlijk.

We hebben geluncht en dat was goed. Bediening is vriendelijk. Ze hanteren het systeem iedere medewerker die voorbij komt kun je aanspreken voor een bestelling en dat is prettig. Prettig in die zin dat je niet moet zoeken naar je vaste serveerster voordat je iets kunt bestellen. De buitenterrassen zijn goed. De stoeltjes hadden iets luxer gekund of een kussentje erin maar dat is dan ook het enige 'minpunt'.

Prachtig terras aan het water, heerlijk verkoelend tijdens hete dagen! Bediening was vriendelijk, schoonmaak kan iets beter. Tafel nog erg vies en plakkerig en dat werd helaas niet schoongemaakt. Maar de locatie maakte het allemaal goed!

Awesome restaurant with great terrace and the food is super tasty. I love it and visit every time I come to the park!

Hier kun je prima uitrusten na een wandeling. Koffie met taart van het seizoen is een aanrader. Ook kan je heerlijk lunchen. Pluspunt: niet standaard bij de koffie een zakje suiker of melk geven. Maar ze vragen of je dat wil. Dan krijg je van beiden een flesje. Tegen verspilling.

Locatie is prachtig vlak aan het water in een natuurpark, eten is goed en de service is geweldig.
