Nice, clean restaurant, clean kitchen, fresh meals. Good food. Only the staff that day was less enthusiastic.

Not a terrible sandwich per se, but 7.50 for a regular baguette with a slice of ham seems ridiculous. Furthermore, the place was dirty and messy.

Always a huge variety of delicious, fresh, and healthy options! The staff is not friendly at all! The restaurant is very noisy; you practically sit on each other's laps! But then you just accept it!

I've eaten at various La Place locations before, and here before. But the quality of the food and how it's prepared leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a wok with prawns, which is usually always excellent. But I couldn't understand what I was getting. Everything seemed to have been cooked separately and thrown together, and the flavor was lacking. I couldn't eat a single bite. Such a shame; please employ staff who actually know what they're doing.

Spontaneously ordered a social deal. It was pretty good and good value for the price. (Just a little too little chicken in the wok.)

I went there around dinner time, but the staff were already cleaning up at 6:00 PM. So I left. It wasn't a very inviting atmosphere.

Had a fantastic ham sandwich. It's self-service and has a model food court. The cashier was very friendly.

The price/quality ratio is completely out of whack. A nearly €7 herb cheese sandwich is only half-filled, and three half-slices of cucumber are placed on the front of the sandwich to make it look like a well-filled sandwich. Very disappointing!

The staff was a bit unfriendly, and if your sandwich wasn't filled properly, they just laughed. Maybe it was because it was quite busy.

Bataviastad... Even more expensive than any other La Place. I saw over 9 euros for a chicken leg without any garnish. The sandwiches were also more expensive... almost 7 euros. I'm willing to pay for it, but I don't think the quality is anything special. I actually found it rather unfair. It's all about making a quick buck and not providing any service.

Way too busy, they can't handle it at all. At this price, delivering this kind of quality is simply not possible these days.

Way too expensive! Unbelievable, €4.20 for a small bottle of chocolate milk, a whopping €3 for a croissant (which costs €0.15). We spent €50 for breakfast with 5 people (2 adults and 3 kids), and we each had one sandwich and a glass or bottle of drink. It's absolutely outrageous!

Serving a raw chicken must forbidden! You can poison your customers.

Located in the Bataviastad outlet, I had a bite to eat for lunch. A wide selection of different food options, including hot and cold sandwiches and smoothies. You have to pick up your own lunch from the various stalls with your own tray. The service at the coffee shop wasn't very friendly. Clean restrooms are free. The food is fine, but the prices are very high and not in proportion to the quality. I wouldn't return. The terrace does have a nice view of the water.

At 6:30 PM we wanted something to eat, but the selection was very limited. So we had pizza... that choice was also limited... so we had two Quattro Stationi. It took 12 minutes for us to pick it up. The staff was already busy "closing up" and cleaning, even though they're only open until 8:00 PM! We picked up the pizzas; something had gone wrong, and we had to wait a while longer. (I think the staff in the cooking and baking department didn't have any hospitality background.) We ended up getting the wrong one: a margarita instead of the Quattro Stationi. It turned out the oven was already off. The manager gave us the option... to order something else, which took 10 minutes. We ended up with a hamburger because the selection was limited. Extremely soggy, old, and wrinkled bun with wilted lettuce and a "bottom" tomato... no onion or pickle to be found with a mountain of fries. A significant disappointment for a lot of money.

Shame!! La Place Bataviastad is truly unbelievably rude! Today I had a lovely time at Bataviastad with my kids, only to be harassed in La Place by the manager and his staff because I asked for an exit. The manager rushed over to me and began explaining in an antisocial tone that the restaurant doesn't have an exit door until 11:30, and that this had been the case for years, he added condescendingly. I asked if this was indicated anywhere because I saw the exit door for sale on the sign. The manager was so rude that I asked him for his name to write a bad review, but he refused to give it to me. Immediately, my kids and I were told to leave, threatening to do it ourselves! We were surrounded by several employees, one of whom started pushing me! I think I'm going to report this incident! Be warned!

It is really big there and the coffee and pastries were delicious.

I love the marinated chicken sandwich with sandwich spread from La Place. Unfortunately, the bread was quite dry this time. But luckily it was quiet, and we had a delicious lunch.

La Place in Batavia city, unfortunately no outlet prices

We were the first in at 10:00; I think this is my second time at La Place. Everything looked grand and elaborate, and it's a large restaurant after all. I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of food and had to search for exactly what to order. We wanted to keep it simple: coffee, some yogurt, a croissant, and a ham sandwich. The food certainly wasn't disappointing, but I was genuinely shocked by the price. I felt it wasn't commensurate with the quality; I won't be back anytime soon.

All meals were out of bread. This was on a holiday and during a time when Bataviastad is supposed to be busy. Perhaps this was to reduce waste. A shame if you're hungry.

What a hassle here. I've eaten at La Place several times in the past few years. This time, during our visit to the Lelystad fashion outlet, I had lunch here and was very disappointed. The dishes are expensive, and even if you do get something tasty, it's quickly digested. That's where things went wrong. Chicken leg (€15) with fries (€5) was a paltry piece of chicken, not quite warm, and a mediocre portion of fries, even lukewarm. The pizza looked delicious, but the dough was incredibly thin and soft. Another thing I'd never experienced before was ordering your food at one of the "stands," then having to pay first before coming back to sit down for your meal... the result: you're constantly walking back and forth. The staff give the impression of being completely untrained, and no one seemed to care. One colleague was shaking her head disapprovingly while keeping an eye on another (everyone has to learn, but you hope for some support from your employer, right?). We paid almost €100 for 5 people; for that price, you'll definitely find something better in the outlet village. Think twice, is my advice.

Delicious burger and fries. There are tables with a beautiful view of Batavia, the dam and the sea. If you want to eat, I recommend visiting.

We walked in here on Sunday at 3 p.m. and there were only 5 sandwiches; everything seemed to be cleared out. The selection at that time was very limited. Some salad, soup, and nothing else to see. I left.

We had three noodle chicken dishes, and two had the same flavor and vegetables, while the other had different vegetables, sauce, and flavor. That was a bit unusual. Other than that, the food wasn't great, but okay.

The staff itself was quite nice, except for the manager who made no effort to help us order food, as an excuse she said that she did not have enough staff, while there were dozens of employees walking around, we did not really feel welcome.

Nice view of the batavia. Nice to crash for a while. Coffee remains of poor quality at la Place. All locations I have been to. Really a missed opportunity! Please move with the times.... There is so much to gain. Food quality varies per la place.

Food is good to reasonable. Very expensive, and tables are rarely cleaned in between. Order in 1 container where everyone sits with their hands, is not hygienic. Just wrap it in paper with a napkin. You can expect that with these high prices.

Last thursday we ate at la place in bataviastad. We ordered a wok and both mine and my wife's noodles were half cooked and there was a lot of sauce on it which did not taste like sesame/teryaki as mentioned but like tomato and a lot of liquid was almost water. We have eaten better there.

Very nice and good cousine. Can take from counters and pay at billing and find a seat and eat. For order as per our taste,pay and go to the respective counter and get it made,example pizzas and pastas etc. Self service . Lot of inside dining tables and a big terrace dining area too. Food is good and tasty. We liked the pizza, pasta and burgers. It's a good place to have food and relax in Bataviastad fashion outlet. Inside Bataviastad.

Poorly organised for people who want to eat gluten-free.

Just a quick lunch during a visit to Bataviastad. Food is pricey but of good quality.

If you have a sign hanging in the shop that says (we make it especially for you), and you ask for some extra sauce on your sandwich because they are often very dry, and they say that is not allowed by the head office, then take your sign away and say that they are standard sandwiches for 7.50 euros. finished eating again.

Good food but with a canteen flair

Prices are through the roof, and for what - very bad experience. You go order food, only at the Kassa realizing that it costs an arm and a leg for nothing. Food was not that good rather. Would not recommend

La Place used to be one of my favorite spots for a fresh and filling sandwich, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill. The sandwiches are now quite disappointing - barely any filling, mostly just bread. It feels like you're paying more for less. Really hoping they bring back the generous portions they once had.

Nice little canteen restaurant with a view on the harbour. They offer a good range of food for all tastes, from healthy options, to pizza and fresh sandwiches.

This is the worst La Place in the country. Sadness. Poor food offering. Bad atmosphere. You notice that here Every dime is taken into account. Sad stuff. Different “management” and a Freshening up would help here.

The location is beautiful with a view of the harbor, where a beautiful ship is moored. But the food, which you come for anyway, is not even worth 1 star. You pay 12-16 euros per noodle dish that looks great in the photo with broccoli, mushrooms, peppers and other vegetables. You can pick them up after about 10 minutes. Then it becomes clear why you are not allowed to stand there and wait: I ask where the vegetables are, because I only see noodles and the cook says that he has mixed everything and they might be underneath. Maybe? You just prepared them yourself, right? At my table I lift the noodles and a minimal amount of coarsely chopped soup vegetables can be seen and one slice of mushroom, but no trace of the broccoli in the photo. The sickly sweet sauce is also unbearable, so three quarters of the noodles were ultimately thrown away. Waste of money, waste of food. Lesson learned for the third time now; never again at La Place, because the heyday of the V&D era, when you could get a good meal there for relatively little money, is clearly long behind us.

As always for us the go to place for something to eat in BataviaStad. Everyone thought the latte macchiato tasted like beer.

It's a pity that La Place diminishes every time

For the price you pay, I think you can expect more. The quality of the tomato soup and the filet American sandwich was really not good. The employees were not all very customer friendly and the toilet, floor and tables were dirty, even though we came there at the beginning of lunch. Fine for this time, but we will try a different place next time.

Delicious food but certainly not cheap

I give a low rating because of the prices!! Very expensive for what it is. The ham and honey mustard in bread was delicious.

The view of the la place is great. But i can not say the same for the food. I ordered pizza and it was over cooked.

A La Place on the first floor accessible by an escalator. Quite a massive space. Food is fine, al-a La Place. Service is not really there, staff is friendly and nice, but there is no service at a self-service restaurant. I personally find food expensive.

2 sandwiches & some drinks, almost €25,- really not normal how expensive...it is that it tasted but coming back soon will not be an option. A large restaurant, with many seats and nice toilets.
