This is the nicest cafe I’ve ever been in my entire life. Shoutout to Paulo, warmest and friendliest guy ever, this guy is such a spongebob. Planned to get a coffee takeaway but stayed for him (and the kroket sandwich). Place is so cozy and the coffee is a banger. Hope yall experience the same!

Please close this place. You have rats peeing everywhere and poisoning your food. These Dutchies want to make money in any way, but this in my country I would have called the food security authority and would have shut this place down for good within the hour. Staff found this funny somehow! Apart from that, staff is too young and inexperienced, leaving you for 15min or more upon arrival without talking to you and taking your order. The place is too dark, not really cozy, and the only thing they do well is the cakes and coffee blends. Heart breaking!

The chicken baguette is amazing

We ate the chicken baguette and were not disappointed! A beautiful blend of flavors and just the right amount of spice. We were on the terrace, and it was peaceful and pleasant.

Sat there this morning 10 mins. Completely ignored. Walked out, and beer in different bar. Will not return.

The best coffee in Rotterdam (truly!), but they still need to practice on matcha. Matcha from a syrup bottle is simply not good and a waste of money. Anyway, luckily they always have a delicious lunch and super friendly service. Always love Heilige Boontjes!

Still drinking the best coffee in Rotterdam here every time. Fantastic beans and brewing skills, perfect proportions. And the staff works here with a smile. Also, that croissant is sublime. Great spot on Eendrachtsplein. Don't miss out on this one.

One of the places where I had the best matcha latte. It's also nice that they have a broad selection of Whisky's (for a coffee place). The location is good and the staff are nice. Also love they are socially involved.

My family loves this place. We’ve eaten here a few times. The coffee is delicious, and the food is fresh & delicious. We enjoy the toasties & eggs Benedict served on fresh baked bread. We are staying nearby for the week & have eaten here almost every day. So much cheaper & tastier than the hotel’s breakfast 🤤 The service is attentive & they speak English. The place is styled beautifully (eclectic recycled industrial), with plenty of tables; we’ve never had to wait.

We were guests at a networking event. Had a great social story from owner Rodney and a nice beer Hertog Jan very good catering business.

Honestly we had a really weird experience! The food was nice but we were asked to pay 5 euros for tap water. I have to say this has never happened to me before. Since when do you have to pay for water that comes from the tap? It’s more expensive than ordering coffee! Absolutely ridiculous! So yeah good place, just order an actual drink instead. It’ll be more worth your money.

Great location just outside the metro, good music there and cosy atmosphere, the food is nice and you can have combinations, I had a coffee+ cake for 7.50€, but what's amazing in this place is the service, the people there are very nice and helpful, they even suggest you less costier combos for your cravings ! And the concept of the place is great, you feel like when you pay them you actually help the youth

Visited in Oct 2024. Sat outside, very slow service - no menu brought out. Asked for menu. After 10 min no staff came out to scout around to take our orders. Asked a waiter who was serving another table's drinks and we finally ordered. Took a long while (15min) for order to be served. The interior was not full at all as it was 4-5pm and we saw the inside when we went to the toilet. Then they forgot our tea order. Another 10min till tea came. Utterly messy. Latte was average 3/5.

Thought it was a mediocre experience. Coffee was nothing special either, food was fine, nothing extremely positive or negative. The atmosphere was also monotonous, like some kind of dementia care, tables crowded together and nothing exciting/interesting to look at in terms of theme or decoration

A special place in the heart of the nicest part of Rotterdam. The young people who work here have all come into contact with the law at some point. As far as I'm concerned, the justice department should also visit the owner of Heilige Boontjes and arrest him for that nasty ditch water he calls coffee. As long as you order something else to drink here, it's fine.

Already 5 stars just because of the concept of helping young people get it back together. Food was great and fairly priced, service decently quick and very friendly. I'm not a vegetarian myself, but my girlfriend is, and the menu for her was fairly limited compared to other comparable places, but that's the only downside I could point out. Overall definitely a place I'd go back to, and would recommend others to visit

Food great, atmosphere is a vibe - service sadly sucked! Ordered a bunch of food and drinks, asked for a glass of water and some sauce - had to ask 3 times and wait 30 minutes just to be told to get it myself. Other than that, worth a visit.

the espresso taste good but it's watery, then the spoon was dirty, opened my laptop to check the email and got a "sorry sr you cannot use a laptop in that table" with the place almost empty and paid 7+ € for the espresso and a piece of banana bread. might update the rating next time but this is not even a 4

Heilige Boontjes employs young people who, for whatever reason, need a (new) opportunity to (re)discover their role in society. For that reason alone you should go for a cup of coffee. But the coffee (Cook and Boon in your own bag) is beautifully prepared by a barista and is of excellent taste.... In short, 2 reasons to have a cup of coffee in this former well-known police station in the center.....

Heilige Boontjes in Rotterdam is a spacious bar with a nice vibe, featuring Curious Rotterdam lingo on the menu. However, service was lacking as we were seated behind a pillar and forgotten by the waiter, leading to a 15-minute wait before we had to order at the counter. Seemed like an honest mistake. Kitchen is open and vent into the dining area but pleasantly did not have too much cooking fumes. The iced latte was decent, the overall atmosphere made up for the service hiccup.

The coffee tastes bitter, the service is rude and aggressive. Not a good co-working space, it’s very loud and the staff prioritises the quick service over the co-working concept. You’re better off crossing to the coffee company if you prefer to work at a nice cafe.

Give the boy who cleaned the tables today a promotion. He had long realized that I had been waiting for a while to order and therefore came to help. What a nice, competent guy. Good service, nice place. I arrived at a time when the entire place was empty, which was not very pleasant. The coffee was also not to my taste, I am used to light roasted Specialty coffee, and this was a very dark Ethiopian to my taste. Not really my place, but still nice.

Come there several times a week for the tastiest cup of coffee. Also a great initiative ❤️
