HEMA Hengelo in Wijk 00 Binnenstad

Very disappointed in Hema. Yesterday I bought 8 tompouces at the Hema in Hengelo. What did we get... stale tompouces, with the tops already completely warped, and we had to pay 3.96 for 4 pieces instead of 1.98. Even though the box says 1.98. Scandalous, for old, stale tompouces.

Large HEMA branch, well-organized and clear. They also have a toilet spot for when you really need to go, which is ideal, but the downside is that you have to pay (currently 1 euro). That is a missed opportunity, as some people skip these toilets because of this.

How can you sell clothes in a store without fitting rooms?!

Under difficult economic conditions, Hema is trying to maintain the business. Its a very cosy atmosphere in the store, especially in the café where a cake with a cup of cappuccino always makes me relaxed to watch the world go by.

A nice shop with a wide variety of products and friendly staff.

Not exactly a cheap clothing store. Bargains only during the end-of-season sale. One plus is the small snack bar for a quick bite. Restrooms are located at the back entrance and cost €1 for a perfectly clean toilet.

Doors opened too late. No pastry.

You can always get a good meal there for a reasonable price. There are also sometimes good deals in the store itself.

She finally has good smoked sausage again

Customer service is a foreign concept here – I've rarely experienced such rudeness! My young daughter (6) needed to use the restroom, which is a pay toilet. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash or access to the payment app, so my daughter wasn't allowed to use it – unbelievable and completely incomprehensible for a child.

My compliments on the extensive and very well-maintained Sinterklaas party decorations and the wide selection. It was a pleasure to do your lovely Sinterklaas shopping with you.

It sounds like a disco, the music is so loud. I was in for two minutes and then went somewhere else.

The store is well-organized and has a wide selection, from delicious sandwiches to handy household items. The staff is friendly and helpful, which makes shopping even more enjoyable. I almost always find something here. A familiar place in the city center!

Enjoy a cup of coffee and a sandwich. It's nice to sit close together. It's a shame you can't sit outside, but it's a good place to sit on bad weather days.

I came for a salmon sandwich, which was very tasty and well-filled. Friendly staff and fast service. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quiet and pleasant. I'll definitely be back for a meal.

Despite the lack of good children's clothing stores in Hengelo, we were usually able to find what we needed at HEMA in the center of Hengelo. However, the number is declining, so we almost always have to order online or go to Enschede. The store itself is fine. Not excellent, but certainly not bad either, as others below have stated. The aisles are generally a bit narrower, except for the area where you order/pick up cakes. The decor is outdated. The staff at HEMA are friendly and helpful at the checkout or if you have a question about an item. We can't comment on the food and beverage section; we never eat there. We did get an ice cream once near the main entrance, which was perfectly fine.

If you're in the Netherlands, you have to stop by HEMA. The salespeople are very friendly, and you can get fun things for little money.

Reviews don't say much good about Hema Hengelo. I also have a complaint about the cake; it was old and definitely not from the same day. Such a shame. Please take the feedback on board...

Friendly staff, spacious, good sale items

We had breakfast at the HEMA in Hengelo. While we were eating, we had to use the restroom. Here, even as a customer, you have to pay to use the restroom. There's a really grumpy woman by the restroom, which doesn't exactly improve customer service.

One of your shelves had been knocked over and there was a mug on the floor and I fell over it and I bumped my head against your coworker and we've had a relationship ever since

Hema does not have much in the way of food. The offer in the restaurant is also not very good anymore, not even pans. The smoked sausages are delicious. Hema does have nice glittery stuff on offer during the holidays. It can be make-up, school supplies or decoration items.

Messy and little choice of sandwiches...

I go to Hema in Enschede every week with my son, everything is possible here and you are always treated nicely. In Enschede, the customer is king. I have now been to Hema in Hengelo twice in recent times, both times not a pleasant experience. Staff is not friendly and they don't seem to enjoy their work. An extra portion of poffertjes is only possible with a complete children's menu, I wanted a certain sandwich on white but this was not possible either. It's a shame that there is so much difference here.

They don't have a tompouce protein bar, very bad

Had coffee at 9.13, bad taste, got a free 2nd bargain, also the same. The lady was convinced that it was my fault. I didn't drink either coffee. Apparently cuts are now also being made on coffee at Hema.

A very clean department store with a beautiful restaurant , which visitors enjoy wonderfully . The population gathers inside to shop at their good will , while taking into account the staff , who in my opinion have a good attitude towards their customers .

Leuke moderne artikelen maar ook een goed standaard qua kwaliteit.

Met alle respect dat ze meedenken in de corona tijd met de daarbij behorende regels. Maar de achterdeur is gesloten dus helemaal omlopen en nog meer beweging dus, en contacten. Waarom niet beide deuren open......zo heb je minder mensen bij die ene deur die open. En klantvriendelijk. Ik kwam et voor een dhl pakketje maar dat is ook de laatste

Wacht al bijna 2 weken op mijn bestelling, en nog steeds niks binnen.

Helaas geen etiketten voor de printer aanwezig terwijl het tegendeel op de website staat.

Grote zaak, alles altijd voldoende op voorraad en vriendelijk personeel

Ik heb zelf via zelfscannen betaald, helaas kon ik geen punten meer gebruiken van mijn Hema-kaart. Jammer.

Wij hadden iets online besteld, en dat was er al heel erg snel. Dus ik ben zeer tevreden.

Oke winkel om o.a. foto af te drukken. Ben zelf op een verkeerde dag en tijdstip gegaan dus daarom stond er een te lange rij bij de kassa. Eigen schuld...;-( ga ik anders doen...

Prima Hema filiaal. Het is ook een shortcut door de binnenstad en dat maakt het altijd handig.
