After a bike ride or hike, you can relax here for a cup of coffee or a beer. It's beautifully situated in the courtyard of Doornenburg Castle.

Very young and friendly staff provide fast and good service. In my opinion, they serve the best Dutch carpaccio ever. Thanks, we'll be back again soon. Afterwards, we visited the small castle. That was also very worth seeing.

Lovely restaurant overlookingthe Kasteel Doornenburg. We had a selection of snacks. They were out of a specific bread on the menu, but were kind enough to bake a fresh bread and serve for us since we just missed lunch time and were very hungry. The drinks were good.

What incredibly friendly, welcoming service. You feel very welcome. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. A delicious lunch before visiting the castle and a wonderful slice of warm apple pie afterward. Fantastic!

We had a private dinner here with 20 people. We had a great evening. In consultation, a delicious dinner was put together with matching wines. Everything was prepared and presented with care. Everything was thought of, the children, allergies but also menus, a brief explanation from the chef for the different courses. Very professional. The space and location were fantastic and the staff very nice and helpful. I really can't think of anything to improve. What a great company! We will definitely come back here.

What a lovely and cozy occasion, and all this in the courtyard of Amerongen Castle. Reservations are recommended.

The food was delicious, the location was great, and the service was extremely friendly. However, there were a lot of noisy people around us, presumably some people from the neighborhood who knew each other. They were sitting at tables far apart, but were still engaged in conversation. Our order hadn't been taken correctly, so the last piece of apple pie went to a customer who ordered later, leaving me without a trace. They did, however, work hard to find a suitable alternative, and the staff politely apologized.

In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious cappuccino and hot chocolate with delicious fresh apple pie. In the afternoon, we had lunch: soup of the day beforehand and burgers for the main course. The soup was nice and hot, really fresh, and delicious. The burgers were a good size, and nachos and chips were included on the plate. The staff were very friendly and regularly checked on us to make sure everything was okay. We also requested a high chair, and one was placed at the table for us.

We had a fantastic meal in a beautiful location for a reasonable price! The stewed beef is amazing. The waitresses are incredibly friendly and efficient. We'll be back.

We were seriously scammed. My nephew and niece and I were planning on asking for a glass of water. As soon as we received these three 200ml cups of water, we were shocked by the price. We had to pay €9 for three cups. I later looked up the price of this water bottle; it was 1.5L for €1.09. My niece had now lost almost half of her holiday money. When a glass of water costs €3, I'm very worried about the economy! We had already paid €12.50 to even be allowed onto the grounds. PS: We went back later to ask if there was a deposit on the cups, but there wasn't one.

Delicious lunch with very nice service

Had a very bad experience! A week before our wedding they canceled our quote! Received an unfriendly and unprofessional email DEFINITELY NOT recommended for parties! They absolutely do NOT keep the agreements, clearly NO experience in the catering industry. Nice location but that was it!

Super mooie locatie. Meest vriendelijke personeel. M’n dochtertje had het koud na het suppen op de Linge en kreeg gelijk een dekentje. Het eten is heerlijk. Carpaccio is mijn favoriete lunch gerecht maar altijd denk ik ; zoals in Italië smaakt ie in Nederland nooit.. tot nu ! Echt de lekkerste carpaccio! Maar sowieso een hele goede kaart met heerlijke gerechten. Wij komen zeker terug. En voor de suppers ; je kan gratis parkeren op de parkeerplaats naast het kasteel. Sup oppompen in het gras. En vlakbij ter water gaan. Mooie route over de Linge

Na een bezoekje aan het kasteel (wat geweldig was!) wilden we een broodje eten in de herberg. Maar de service was bijzonder slecht. Na 10-15 minuten was er nog niemand naar onze tafel gekomen. Er was bovendien maar één serveerster die bestellingen opnam en die nam duidelijk haar tijd; de anderen brachten en haalden enkel borden en keken niet op of om. Uiteindelijk dachten we dat ze naar onze tafel kwam, maar enkel om de menukaart van ons te pakken en die aan een andere tafel (die na ons ging zitten!) te geven, waar ze vol geduld op hun keus ging staan te wachten. Toen zijn we maar vertrokken. Ik snap best dat het wat langer kan duren als het druk is, maar niet dat je je gasten gewoon negeert... Kasteel zelf wel een grote aanrader.

Tolle Burg und ziemlich groß. Wir waren aber nicht in der Ausstellung der Burg Doornenburg, da geschlossen war. Wir haben aber noch einen Kaffee in der Herberg De Doornenburg getrunken. Ein uriges Café und sehr freundliches Personal. :-)

Vriendelijke personeel, gezellige sfeer maar ik vond het eten helaas matig. Bij een 'vega pita met gegrilde groenten en truffelcreme' stel ik me toch iets anders voor dan een ietwat kleffe 'panini' van pita met (truffel)mayonaise...

Lekker gegeten van allemaal kleine gerechten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. En ook niet onbelangrijk, de prijzen waren netjes.

Sfeervol en persoonlijk en een prachtige, unieke locatie

Wij hebben een high tea gehad en dat was geweldig, her eten was meer dan genoeg lekker afwisselend we hebben ervan genoten.

Lekker rustig op het terras bij goed weer. Uitstekende bediening, vrolijk en opgewekt. Lekker biertje, wijn en hapjes.

Gezellig een zware pint gedronken en een broodje kroket.

Beetje armzalige koffie voor zo'n drukbezochte plek..

In een sfeervolle oude kamer met haard( brandt niet maar heeft wel mooie tegeltjes) en schilderijen kan je zalig zitten in comfortabele stoelen. Heerlijk speciale bieren en lekkere borrelhapjes zowel vlees als vegan genoten. Tip: de ruimte is erg stil. Wat muziek zou het veel gezelliger maken!

Super vriendelijke mensen en heel gezellig. In de zomer een prachtig terras. Vlakbij het kasteel Doornenburg.

Zaterdag 13 november het feest van Frans op dit kasteel, wat een vriendelijke bediening,en profesioneel heerlijk slagroomgebak van de echte bakker van Kol,en dan het verrukkelijke buffet van de smaakcateraar uit Gendt. Een topmiddag/en wat een mooie herberg sfeervol en prachtig oud. We komen zeker deze zomer terug.

Vanmiddag een gezellige verjaardag gehad van mijn moeder,91, en haar zussen.Geboren en getogen in Doornenburg vonden zij het geweldig om hier weer eens te zijn. Super locatie, warm welkom, geweldig vriendelijke bediening, heerlijke appeltaart en daarna een lekkere lunch. Dank jullie wel voor deze fijne middag, jullie zien ons zeker weer terug!

Ontzettend leuk, moesten meer mensen weten want wij kenden het niet en heel leuk voor gezinnen want oude spelletjes van vroeger kon je daar doen. Heerlijke koffie en heel ve lekkers en hele vriendelijke en leuke bediening

Goede keuken en zeer vriendelijke bediening. We hadden de koud/warm borrelplank voor 2 personen en die was uitgebreid en ontzettend lekker! Voor de bitterballen kom ik terug! Appelgebak is ook een aanrader smaakt als zelfgemaakt.
