Herberg "In de Rimboe" in Wijk 00 Ermelo

The old menu was 100 times better; unfortunately, the skewers and mussels were not mentioned as they are not on the menu. I will not be coming back for this menu; the portions are too small and it is too expensive. The atmosphere is still the same. Perhaps it would be an option to combine elements from both menus.

What a great surprise! I came here for some drinks and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The interior has so much character—warm lighting, vintage furniture, vinyl records, cozy lounge corners, and even a small stage for live music. It feels like a place where you can easily spend an entire evening. The outdoor area with the swimming pool is beautiful as well and gives the whole place a relaxed holiday vibe. It’s honestly something you don’t expect to find around Ermelo. The staff were friendly, the drinks were great, and the overall vibe was fantastic. Whether you’re meeting friends for a drink or looking for a nice place to take your partner on a date, this is definitely worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back!

It was nice to be able to eat at the campsite. The staff is very friendly. However, we found the price-quality ratio to be insufficient. Small portions for quite high prices, and the quality of the food was not fantastic either. Still, 3 stars thanks to the friendly staff.

Picked up fries. WOW. Really tasty, tastier than, for example, the Frietzaak in Ermelo. That's tasty too, but this one is really better. The croquettes are also absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

We had a super delicious meal at Herberg in de Rimboe! The tacos, in particular, are highly recommended. You can tell from everything that there is a fresh, youthful energy in the restaurant, which creates a super cozy atmosphere that you won't easily find anywhere else. The staff is friendly, personal, and really takes the time for you. Compliments to the chef, because the tacos, game stew, and salmon were all delicious. We will definitely be back!

We ate here tonight. In the past, we had good meals here with the family; back then, there was simply a traditional menu with substantial dishes. Tonight's concept was shared dining. You might think that would be nice, but the bites were extremely small or just not special: spinach with a few chunks of feta, a hamburger quartered on white bread, or mediocre game meatballs that lacked the taste of game, and all of this not for a shared dining rate (price, quality vs. portion size). All in all, a mediocre experience, as if the cook had quit. The place is run by students, and portions had to be kept as small as possible at the maximum rate just to keep things going. Absolutely not recommended (at the moment), but apparently, the time (or season) when you come to eat here can make a world of difference. The question is, do you dare to gamble that ending your day here will be a success? It's a shame, because it is a nice spot, with play facilities for small children and a kids' menu available, but it is a campsite restaurant with someone in the kitchen who probably hasn't been trained, at a price equivalent to what you would expect at more expensive shared dining restaurants.

This is truly my favorite restaurant in Ermelo! The food is always super tasty, and that is why I am extra happy with the new shared dining menu so I can taste a bit of everything. My favorites: the jalapeno poppers and the black tiger prawns. Additionally, the wine is really good and the service is friendly; you feel welcome here immediately. The evenings with live music actually deserve 6 stars, because they are truly amazing.

The restaurant looks very cozy. The food tastes good, but we were actually a bit disappointed. We ordered satay, among other things. That's literally two (good) satay sticks with satay sauce. And a separate bag of fries. There were no other additions, such as sweet and sour vegetables, salad, or anything like that. The other two dishes also had no additions (vegetables, salad, or anything like that) on the plate. We found that very disappointing. We also found the price of the desserts, at around 10 euros, quite high. We had eaten there once a year earlier, and we thought it was much better then. The De Groot family

Lovely location with lovely owners. Everything is perfect, and it's a wonderful gem on the outskirts of Ermelo, nestled in the woods. Highly recommended!

Dining at Herberg “In de Rimboe” is always good. There is a limited menu with tasty dishes. There is also often a special. Goat cheese knapsacks are tasty and the spare ribs (not on the menu) were also delicious. Great that dogs are allowed! Staff are always friendly. Really recommended!

Vooraf de menukaart bestudeerd. Onze verwachting lag hoger. Wildstoof zag er karig uit, zalm was wat smakeloos maar tegelijk best een pittige prijs. Bediening was wel vriendelijk en mooie ambiance. Maar voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Met familie hier gegeten. Prima kwaliteit. Gezellige bediening. Maar ik vind de prijs wel wat aan de hoge kant. Het is en blijft een restaurant bij een camping.

Nice lunch. The house smoked salmon is delicious. Atmospheric and friendly. If we are in the area again we will come again…

Ate at Christmas. Venison steak slightly overcooked. Dessert was nothing special.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve at the Herberg. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about dishes and wines, the food was very good. Nice surprising appetizers in between. Had a great evening, class!

Pleasant surprise. Really fun to go to. Vega is good. If you still want meat, assume it is organic. You wouldn't expect that in Ermelo, which in terms of meat production is not really a municipality that we should be proud of. Nice, young, professional team that really does their best. Cheers!

Heel veel meer dan een camping kantine menig restaurant bied niet wat hier geboden wordt

Vroeger stonden wij hier op de camping. Ik wilde graag de kinderen laten zien, waar mama haar jeugdverhalen beleefd heeft. De kantine ( wat het vroeger was) heeft een prachtige metamorfose gehad. Het was 2e paasdag en werden hartelijk ontvangen voor een kop koffie, we waren met 7 personen. De gastvrouw was uiterst vriendelijk en de koffie was heerlijk! Toiletten waren netjes en schoon! Als ik meer sterren kon geven had ik dit zeker gedaan!

We hebben hier een super gaaf feest gehad. Een heerlijk diner met verschillened gangen. Daarn ging de DJ met vinyl helemaal los. Wat een geweldige avond en hulde aan het personeel.

Excellent restaurant; not at all a campsite cafetaria but a very nice kitchen, cosy setup, nice atmosphere and informal yet professional staff.

Wat is het toch een fantastische plek! Rust..prachtig bos..grote plekken..een tof restaurant..een heerlijk zwembad. En topmensen! Dank! Iedere keer weer een feest om heen te gaan. 💫

Er was een grote groep aanwezig maar we waren zeker welkom. Wel werd er gezegd dat we even geduld moesten hebben omdat net al het eten voor de groep uitgelopen moest worden. Dus top communicatie goede bieren en heerlijke nachos. En buiten dat een mooie locatie!

Wat een topcamping is dit! Een hartelijk en persoonlijk ontvangst. Waar vind je dat nu nog? De plek werd aangewezen en was zeer ruim. Er worden hele leuke activiteiten georganiseerd; bbq avond, silent disco, verschillende bands, oester avond etc. Een gemoedelijke sfeer en toch niet een massale camping. We komen zeker nog eens terug!

Terras heerlijk, bediening erg vriendelijk. Leuke locatie, mooi restaurant. Het voorgerecht was erg lekker maar de pittige spareribs waren niet pittig maar zoet.. Zonde als je niet van zoet eten houdt. Er werd met de opbouwende kritiek niets gedaan wat ik persoonlijk een gemiste kans vind.

Netjes van tevoren een appje dat ze er aan komen... Stipt op tijd eten bezorgd...koud en warm gescheiden... En het smaakte fantastisch. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Super lieve gastvrouw, netjes alles uitgelegd. En je krijgt een kleinigheidje op de camperplaats. Mooie plaats letterlijk loop je zo het bos in.

Leuk om een wandeling te maken en daarna een lekker bakje te doen. Aardige bediening en een fijne sfeer.

Zoals zo vaak weer heerlijk gegeten. De wilde eendenborst was verrukkelijk, evenals het gevarieerde dessert.

Heerlijk hier zitten borrelen bij de kachel, super leuke bediening. We stonden op de camping en vinden dit restaurant echt een dik pluspunt, goed eten en mooie ingerichte tent!!

Heel mooi, gezellig en lekker restaurant, super vriendelijke en leuke bediening! Het restaurant is heel mooi en knus ingericht. De tweede avond gingen we naar de herfst bbq met Speelman & Speelman. Gezellige sfeer met live muziek en vuurkorven. De zwijn aan het spit was ontzettend lekker en voor een betaalbare prijs. Dank jullie wel en ga zo door!

Een super gezellige ambiance! Geen standaard ‘camping restaurant’. Ontzettend vriendelijke bediening en heel kindvriendelijk. Lekker gegeten voor een mooie prijs!
