It was very tasty and more than enough.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The Buffalo Bill Steak was incredible — perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. All the other dishes were just as amazing. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we really enjoyed our time here. We had a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

We were here as a family of four. The service was very good, as was the food. Everything was delicious and we highly recommend it.

Unfriendly staff. Too young and apparently no manners. Especially that little man with the mustache. Find another job, it will make you happier.

Our lunch was very tasty, and we will definitely come back again. We returned once more to have lunch; it was perfectly fine again. The outdoor terrace is also perfectly fine for eating there. We have also tried dinner before, and it was excellent as well. I would recommend making a reservation for dinner.

Ordered lunch for takeaway, everything was perfectly arranged, even napkins, mayonnaise, and satay sauce included. We really enjoyed it; we had a salad, satay with fries, and bread rolls. Superbly taken care of, top-notch! Compliments to the team. Highly recommended!

Just a few days on vacation. This restaurant is located a few minutes' drive from our accommodation. We had a reservation on the terrace inside the tent. If you enjoy watching cars, that is a perfect spot. The service was prompt and friendly. For starters, a bread roll with herb butter and aioli. The bread was fine, the aioli too, but that herb butter is inedible... it literally tastes like soap! We mentioned this to the waitress and she also indicated that she doesn't think it's tasty herb butter. Hopefully, they will change this soon. The main courses were fine in themselves; both the chicken thigh and the pork tenderloin satay were cooked well. It's a shame that the fries were extremely salty. Did they go a bit overboard with the salt shaker? For dessert, an iced coffee. Not enough coffee, waaaay too sweet. The latte macchiato and cappuccino with a nice cookie and liqueur were good, though! All in all, we don't consider this the best restaurant and won't be coming back anytime soon.

Ate here several times again in June 2026; it is close to the campsite, but nothing has changed in terms of atmosphere and the quality of the dishes. So it remains highly recommended; there is air conditioning inside for warm days. Previous review: Tasty dishes on the menu, including the starters. We ate there in spring 2026 and were very pleasantly surprised. The food and service were excellent, and the decor/ambiance is very luxurious, which isn't immediately apparent from the photos. A very high-quality and highly recommended restaurant!

Pastry small and far too sweet. Coffee okay. Waffle also very small and unclear if homemade. We just expected more. Cancelled dinner for that reason. Great location. It could easily be improved.

We were waiting to see how busy it would be, so we reserved a table as a precaution (not unwise). The layout was nice and cozy, with tables arranged for 6, 4, or 2 people. The food on the menu was well-balanced. There is often a good weekly menu; it just takes a look to see if it suits your taste! This time, the steak on the weekly menu was definitely something I enjoyed. And the dessert was also tasty; unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of it for next time. I would appreciate it if you read this and perhaps give it a like 😉. We visited again for an evening with family and received fantastic service and a delicious meal once more. We love coming here to enjoy ourselves and let ourselves be pampered.

My wife and I had a delicious lunch here. The steak tips (substantial ones) were delicious and served at the right temperature. When ordering, make sure to specify how you want your steak cooked. I had the Uitsmijter Napoleon myself, which was simply delicious. We have already gone back in again. Next time I am going for dinner. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic and cozy restaurant! We recently moved down the street from here and recently had drinks with our daughter while rollerblading, and yesterday I went here for dinner with my partner. The food was truly fantastic! I had the creamy vegetable pasta and my husband the buffalo bill steak. Highly recommended! That steak is honestly the best meat we've ever had! It was a lot, but it was no problem to take it home. The staff is also incredibly friendly. We'll be back regularly. See you soon! 😊

Bonaparte remains a fixture in Ermelo and the surrounding area. It's still a great restaurant with good food. Everything looks fresh and delicious, and tastes great. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. In short, a lovely restaurant for lunch, dinner, or a quick stop for coffee and cake or a drink.

Nice place to have a good bite to eat

The meal was delicious, pork tenderloin satay, generously portioned, but that's fair considering the price. I would have preferred a bit more satay sauce, as the dish was quite small. The weather was beautiful, so the terrace was busy, and there were many smokers, so as a non-smoker, you have no choice but to sit inside. But then again, smokers have no choice.

All in all, quite disappointing. The staff is friendly but very young and inexperienced. If you're going to charge these prices, at least make sure you have some basic knowledge. (They supposedly didn't have a red martini on the rocks, even though the menu actually said Martini Rosso...oops). The melon and ham appetizer was truly scandalously small, less than three pieces of melon. The steak slices with chicken liver were both way, way overcooked. This is more of a cafe with a nice terrace and exorbitant prices for the quality you get.

We sat on the terrace and ordered lunch. The friendly staff quickly brought the drinks. I was disappointed with the lunch. A carpaccio wrap contained a whole bag of lettuce, sauce for 4 wraps, and carpaccio for half a wrap. The wrap was rolled up with little attention to detail, and the taste wasn't great either. We also didn't receive any cutlery or napkins. It's a good thing the staff were so friendly and the restrooms were clean. Maybe I should order a different dish next time.

During our vacation, we stayed at De Haeghehorst park and regularly dine at Bonaparte. It's an excellent restaurant for lunch and dinner, or just a cup of coffee with a delicious glass of liqueur and whipped cream. Very friendly staff and good service. Excellent value for money. The atmosphere is nice, and so is the location. The food is okay, but nothing special. We were out again within 45 minutes. It feels like you're at a Chinese restaurant, everything comes together so quickly. They're also not very careful with pouring. Coffee and wine spilled all over the glass and cup. The service was untidy and rushed.

Just getting in is a letdown, in my opinion, because you have to wait by an empty wine barrel outside the entrance for a staff member to check if you have a reservation. You're not allowed to just walk in. Unfriendly customer service! I don't think I'll see them again. It's a shame, because it's in a beautiful location. It could be so much better.

Went to lunch with my son and girlfriend. It's been a while, but the Rendang sandwich, really excellent.

No one was busy and yet it took a long time for orders to be taken. Food was of poor quality, very dry and appeared not to be grilled. salad not freshly crispy. The waiter was walking around with the order and didn't know which table it was for. There is much to improve.

Highly recommended! As a Belgian a surprising card. Surf and Turf are highly recommended, but the Buffalo Bill Steak and the Opéra Steak were also very popular. An error in the service was resolved in a friendly, efficient manner. To finish off, a Boerekinkel, we had never heard of that either, but it was delicious.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar! Champignons in bierbeslag.....veel teveel deeg! Daarna forel op Oosterse wijze, dit was gewoon een stuk filet uit de supermarkt overgoten met warme ketjap en drie stukjes bosui....🫤🤔. Was gewoon echt niet lekker! Spareribs leken wel uit de frituur te komen, het 'dessert' bestond uit 4 stukken aardbei met een bol ijs en slagroom, gewoon in een glas gepleurd. Had allemaal weinig met koken te maken.....

Friendly and quick service. You can always order French fries and salad during your meal. We were a bit irritated at first because we received a bowl of salad and a bowl of French fries for two people, but the waitress pointed out that we could order unlimited orders.

Large restaurant with nice terrace. We had the option to choose mussels. They may have been slightly undercooked, not all the shells were open. But the taste was good, despite the hassle of getting the ships open.
