Bonaparte remains a fixture in Ermelo and the surrounding area. It's still a great restaurant with good food. Everything looks fresh and delicious, and tastes great. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. In short, a lovely restaurant for lunch, dinner, or a quick stop for coffee and cake or a drink.

Our lunch was delicious, and we'll definitely be back. We'll be back again to enjoy lunch, which was excellent. We've also tried dinner, which was also excellent. I would recommend making a reservation for dinner.

What a lovely little restaurant, in the style of Napoleon. We were here for lunch. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice place to have a good bite to eat

The meal was delicious, pork tenderloin satay, generously portioned, but that's fair considering the price. I would have preferred a bit more satay sauce, as the dish was quite small. The weather was beautiful, so the terrace was busy, and there were many smokers, so as a non-smoker, you have no choice but to sit inside. But then again, smokers have no choice.

All in all, quite disappointing. The staff is friendly but very young and inexperienced. If you're going to charge these prices, at least make sure you have some basic knowledge. (They supposedly didn't have a red martini on the rocks, even though the menu actually said Martini Rosso...oops). The melon and ham appetizer was truly scandalously small, less than three pieces of melon. The steak slices with chicken liver were both way, way overcooked. This is more of a cafe with a nice terrace and exorbitant prices for the quality you get.

We sat on the terrace and ordered lunch. The friendly staff quickly brought the drinks. I was disappointed with the lunch. A carpaccio wrap contained a whole bag of lettuce, sauce for 4 wraps, and carpaccio for half a wrap. The wrap was rolled up with little attention to detail, and the taste wasn't great either. We also didn't receive any cutlery or napkins. It's a good thing the staff were so friendly and the restrooms were clean. Maybe I should order a different dish next time.

During our vacation, we stayed at De Haeghehorst park and regularly dine at Bonaparte. It's an excellent restaurant for lunch and dinner, or just a cup of coffee with a delicious glass of liqueur and whipped cream. Very friendly staff and good service. Excellent value for money. The atmosphere is nice, and so is the location. The food is okay, but nothing special. We were out again within 45 minutes. It feels like you're at a Chinese restaurant, everything comes together so quickly. They're also not very careful with pouring. Coffee and wine spilled all over the glass and cup. The service was untidy and rushed.

Just getting in is a letdown, in my opinion, because you have to wait by an empty wine barrel outside the entrance for a staff member to check if you have a reservation. You're not allowed to just walk in. Unfriendly customer service! I don't think I'll see them again. It's a shame, because it's in a beautiful location. It could be so much better.

Had a delicious lunch, fast and friendly service

Went to lunch with my son and girlfriend. It's been a while, but the Rendang sandwich, really excellent.

No one was busy and yet it took a long time for orders to be taken. Food was of poor quality, very dry and appeared not to be grilled. salad not freshly crispy. The waiter was walking around with the order and didn't know which table it was for. There is much to improve.

Very tasty food, surf & turf and a stuffed pork tenderloin. Wonderfully tender and fine flavours. Decent prices and friendly staff.

Highly recommended! As a Belgian a surprising card. Surf and Turf are highly recommended, but the Buffalo Bill Steak and the Opéra Steak were also very popular. An error in the service was resolved in a friendly, efficient manner. To finish off, a Boerekinkel, we had never heard of that either, but it was delicious.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar! Champignons in bierbeslag.....veel teveel deeg! Daarna forel op Oosterse wijze, dit was gewoon een stuk filet uit de supermarkt overgoten met warme ketjap en drie stukjes bosui....🫤🤔. Was gewoon echt niet lekker! Spareribs leken wel uit de frituur te komen, het 'dessert' bestond uit 4 stukken aardbei met een bol ijs en slagroom, gewoon in een glas gepleurd. Had allemaal weinig met koken te maken.....

Friendly and quick service. You can always order French fries and salad during your meal. We were a bit irritated at first because we received a bowl of salad and a bowl of French fries for two people, but the waitress pointed out that we could order unlimited orders.

Na jaren na 2x te zijn teleurgesteld maar weer eens gaan kijken. Bediening is nu vlot. Niet alle menu kaarten staan in houder op tafel maar worden wel vlot gebracht. Gevraagde broodje was aanfluiting, hard broodje met een paar inkepingen. Geen mes om broodje te kunnen snijden. Niet goed los te scheuren. Miste tappenade. Afrekenen moet je binnen doen werd mij toe gesnauwd. Kan weer jaren duren eer ik hier terug kom.

As mentioned, the food is fine, but not special. I experience the price-quality ratio as variable. Service is neat and fast, even with a full terrace.

Food was great, the price/performance ratio wasn't right, just 20% too expensive.

There was 4 people 2 had steak 2 had wien schnitzel. The steak was tuft I could not chew it. The schnitzel was something that had been frozen for months. A small bowl of salad and chips between 4. The waitress did say if you want more just ask which we did. The second lot of chips came out when we had finished. We won't be going back.

Geweldige ervaring van bij aankomst tot verlaten van de zaak! Iedereen was super vriendelijk en men kwam geregeld vragen of alles naar wens was ook al was het superdruk. Eten was smaakvol. Borden mooi gedresseerd. Ja, Nederland blijft mijn smaakpapillen verwennen. Hier kom ik zeker terug.

What's missing here? Correct. The 4 promised eggs are there, as are the cheese and bacon. But 1 (one) slice of cheese on such a sandwich is very economical.

The food served was fine, as was the price. The service was not cordial. Even a smile was (almost) impossible. Not a word was spoken too much to the guests (but among themselves, by the way). This didn't really make us feel welcome.

Dit restaurant was voor enkele jaren perfect. Nu is alle eten een beetje uitgekleed. Bij het menu was alleen patat en raukost. Geen warme groente. Papieren bakjes voor de majonaise. En het aardbeien ijs destond uit ijs slagroom en 1 aardei.

Bonaparte is a nice restaurant with ample parking, friendly staff and a menu where you can choose from a wide range of dishes without having to be shocked by the prices. Highly recommended for a nice dinner outdoors.

Reserved via the website, a message also appeared on the website stating that you will receive confirmation of your reservation within 2 hours. We called a little before time just to be sure because we hadn't heard anything yet, it turned out that our reservation had not even gone through and they were apparently full...?!. End point... no dinner out. It's a bit of a shame that it happened like this, the lady in question couldn't possibly put up 2 extra chairs... major disappointment on our weekend away.

Reserved online at the beginning of January. They were closed until January 15, but booking via the website went well. When we got there it turned out that our reservation had not gone through. When they were closed they never read mail, it was said. Moreover, if I had no email it would be a shame. Coincidentally, 2 ladies arrived after us with the same problem. As an alternative, we were allowed to sit down provided we were leaving within an hour. Needless to say, we declined that "offer". We drove back a bit and were warmly welcomed at brasserie de Gourneur.
