Had lunch here on Sunday. My wife had the panini, and I had the club sandwich. You can choose between white or brown bread for both. Making toast for a club sandwich is harder than I thought, but this one was perfect. The chicken was crispy and at the right temperature, the egg was fried with a nice brown edge, and the fries were also delicious. One small thing... I could have done with a little less jambalaya sauce. It got a bit messy at the end, but I haven't had such a delicious club sandwich in a long time. My wife's panini was also excellent. Largely filled, at the right temperature, and very flavorful. The service was polite and very friendly. Until next time!

The service is excellent, but the food... well, we had two glasses of soda and a lunch platter. I understand there has to be a business model. But the lunch platter is a disgrace: just two slices of bread, one slice of sweaty cheese, one slice of ham, and one slice of roast beef. A little salad. The soup and snack were okay.

We've already been waiting 55 minutes for a few simple pancakes and an omelet. And most of the restaurant and patio are empty.

Ordered a cheese sandwich, but received a roast beef sandwich. A dog had relieved itself on the patio; it had been lying there for at least a day. We pointed it out to the staff, but even then, no action was taken.

Very friendly service, sweet girl, serving by herself, a bit of a shame for her The food...well..we ordered baguette with carpaccio and baguette with warm ham.. The filling tasted good, but the bread roll was a disappointment...when I think of baguette I think of a piece of delicious fresh crispy baguette, and not of a too soft baked pistolet..really a disappointment...

As a pancake restaurant along a main road, you just have to know that you can also have lunch or dinner here in addition to a choice of different pancakes. Just good food, no fuss. And a very nice view. There is calf's liver on the menu, which I didn't have to think about for long. Nicely fried and tender. The cauliflower was just small, a little beyond al dente, but tasty with just nutmeg. As it should be. The potatoes themselves had a super delicious taste. No mayo needed. My dining companion had satay which tasted great. The ribbed fries were very mini, very mealy and had little bite left. The outside of the fries was fried nice and crispy. We had a great time there and had a delicious meal. It was windy and therefore still chilly if you sat on the windward side of the screen. After we switched behind the plastic wall, it was wonderful to relax in the spring sun. Prices are fine for the area. We will definitely come back again!

Gisteravond hier geweest voor diner met 5 personen. Wij kennen het Eiland van ome Nick al heel lang, maar nu gingen wij toch met een teleurgesteld gevoel weg. De bediening was erg traag en we hebben lang op ons eten moeten wachten. De geitenkaas-salade was in orde, De slibtongetjes waren goed van smaak maar niet heet en de garnering hierbij was echt heel matig: 1 inimini roosje broccoli en 3 schijfjes gebakken aardappel. De overige 3 tafelgenoten hadden de ossenhaas-saté. Deze was ook niet heet. De smaak van de stukjes ossenhaas was op zich prima maar het was geen saté te noemen. We kregen nog wel een klein schaaltje satésaus erbij die onderuit een pan leek geschraapt maar eigenlijk was het zonder deze saus nog lekkerder. Al met al vonden wij de kwaliteit van het eten niet in verhouding tot de hoge prijzen die ervoor berekend werden. Jammer.

Ik schrijf nooit reviews, maar gezien ik nu nog kotsmisselijk ben maak ik een uitzondering. Ik had een Club sandwich besteld en dat was verschrikkelijk slecht. Kleffe witte boterham met gefrituurde kipvingers, smerige gebakken ei en spek met een verdwaalde tomaat en een paar slablaadjes. Met patat. Enorm ranzig. Nog nooit zo vies gegeten voor 17,50 euro. 1 punt is zelfs teveel. Vroeger was het eten altijd goed. Nu is het een drama. Hier kom ik nooit weer.

We wanted a quick lunch, but had to wait a long time for our food We sat inside and had a view of an old neglected caravan and bicycles. Bouncer was good, but the carpaccio baguette was impossible to get through: it looked like rusk. We won't be coming back here again.

Great spot on the road, but especially between the meadows. Staff is friendly and food is ok. The meat was especially tasty. The evening was somewhat messy in terms of service and clean-up, the vegetables and fries were served cold and the terrace is messy. But at least the chickens were fun.

Atmospheric, cozy accommodation on the edge of a beautiful natural environment. We were warmly welcomed by chickens, a rooster and two dogs. First had a delicious coffee with apple pie. Then we got a route for a walk and enjoyed the park around Duivenvoorde Castle, which is almost next to it. Finally, we had lunch with pumpkin soup and a delicious vegan sandwich with hummus, grilled peppers and pesto, but there is also plenty of choice on the menu for meat or cheese eaters! Friendly and helpful service!

Mijn vriendin en ik hadden via social deal een leuke bon voor thee met gebak en een lunch. We hebben hier heerlijk een paar uur vertoeft. Het gebak konden we kiezen en als lunch hadden we tomatensoep en een broodje warme beenham met honingmosterd saus. soep was vers dat kon je proeven. We werden geholpen door een erg aardige jongen de sfeer was goed. Enige min puntje vond ik dat het binnen erg fris was waardoor ik mijn jas aanhield. Maar we komen zeker terug want we willen nog mosselen eten en pannekoeken proeven...

Zalig gegeten met vriendelijke bediening. Gaan we zeker vaker doen. Ik kijk al uit naar de zomer om dan heerlijk op het terras in de landelijke omgeving te kunnen zitten.

Leuke relaxte locatie. Personeel niet altijd ervaren maar wel erg vriendelijk.

We waren er al een paar jaar niet geweest. We gingen voor het heerlijke broodje bal in de jus maar die stond niet meer op de kaart. Ander broodje genomen. Was lekker.

Leuk eettentje tussen Leidschendam en Voorschoten. Lekkere pannenkoeken voor de lunch en ook in de avond is het hier lekker eten. Bij voorkeur buiten op het terras met een pan mosselen.

Leuk restaurant mooi fijn mooi lokatie en gezellig buitenterras waar de kippen rondscharrelen en af en toe een haas in het weiland loopt.Het eten is erg lekker en goed gewoon top en de service erg goed rustig en erg vriendelijk,Afgelopen woensdag ben ik weer wezen eten het is mosselseizoen die zijn daar erg lekker op menu stonden 4 verschillende mosseldinees!Heb die bijzondere genomen de Spaanse mosselen heel apart erg lekker was ruim voldoende en patat erbij die is super lekker.En menu kalfslevertjes dat heel lekker botormals dat is smullen geblazen.Verder in voorjaar kan je als asperijd is hier ook bestellen en is erg lekker asperge paar gegegeten.En regelmatig pannenkoeken eten die zijn hier ook super lekker groot en als 1 op hebt zit je goed vol.Ja het voor mij een heel fijn kleinschalig restaurant waar je lekker kan eten met zeer vriendelijk bediening en rustig gewoon .en gratis parkeren.

The staff was very friendly. The rural area gives this a very countryside feeling. Away from the even the villages nearby. The menu is simple, but complete and has a few Dutch classics. The ham/cheese pancake was pretty good. So was the sandwich with carpaccio. Nothing too fancy or special, but we had to try this place after driving by it for years and never stopping.

Beste pannenkoeken, uitsmijters en carpaccio die er te krijgen zijn. Fijn dat er nog ergens met écht goede producten wordt gewerkt. Aardige en gastvrije eigenaar die de zaak al 30 jaar heeft. Prima voor goede koffie (fatsoenlijke latte's!) tussen het wandelen of fietsen door, of lunchen in het zonnetje terwijl je uitkijkt over het weiland. Ben er ook 's-avonds geweest, de chateaubriand is een traktatie qua smaak en hoe ie eruit ziet. Goede cocktails, wat mij betreft één van de betere espresso martini's die je in Voorschoten krijgen kan. Prijs is erg toegankelijk in vergelijking met de overige restaurants, waar je ernaast €4+(!!) betaald voor een dubbele espresso. Ik kom zeker terug!

Al jaren een leuke plek om even te stoppen voor een hapje en drankje.

pannenkoek was een aanfluiting. voor dat geld kom je daar niet eten.

Heerlijke pannekoek, het weiland achter het eiland. Het was er niet heel druk dus de wachttijd viel alles mee, mooi uitzicht op het weiland achter het eiland, een zomer briesje en goed gezelschap. Bediening vriendelijk.

Écht heel lekker gegeten. Kalfslever, slibtongetjes... met zorg bereid.

Mooie locatie zeker als je achter gaat zitten uitzicht over één panorama! Haasjes, en andere mooie vogels. Misschien zijn wij door één verkeerde meneer geholpen? Meer met telefoon bezig terwijl de prijs hoog is. Maar kom hier zeker terug het ligt fantastisch uitzicht én op de fietsroute.

Dit is zo'n leuk restaurant om lekker te eten. De sevice is echt okay, heb je een wens voor hun geen probleem. En ook nog eens een terras met een ontzettend mooie uitzicht!
