Nice and cozy little town with friendly service, even though it did get quite busy. Beautiful marinas with a lot of expensive boats, a lot of work going on at the various shipyards.

Excellent food! We ordered the local fish salad and it was delicious. The crab salad has to be the best I have ever eaten. Accompanied by a glass of the local beer (Windkracht) it was filling and good portions. My mum raved about her Burrata salad and the pistachios + oil used were top-notch. Service was quick & friendly. Overall lovely food and happy got to eat here.

Pleasant terrace, then a good and more than sufficient meal

We arrived in Urk late and were lucky enough to still be able to order from the limited menu. The portions were huge and delicious. We had kibbeling (battered and fried fish), fries special, and nachos with three different dips. The Urk beer was also tasty, and the service was super friendly 👍

We sat on the atmospheric terrace with a beautiful view towards the harbor. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. The staff is very friendly and came to ask twice if everything was to our liking. A very nice place to sit for a while in Urk.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing! The ambiance is really nice, the location is good, and the decor fits in with the town. The service was good. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The truffle fries were a portion of fries with an excessive amount of Parmesan cheese and pre-made truffle mayo... and they were cold. The small side salad was dressed with a mayonnaise-based dressing (or something similar) and a sweet and sour sauce! It was really quite a mess. I'm also not sure if the fish (lumpy) and chips were pre-made (thawed). In conclusion: The ambiance is nice for a drink. I wouldn't eat there again.

Urk! When people say Urk, they unequivocally think of FRESH fish! Well, unfortunately, at Het Haventje van Urk, you can kiss that goodbye! The menu triumphantly features kibbeling in every possible combination with bread, with fries, with or without various sauces; it is a menu where the fresh fish could jump straight out of the harbor (which, mind you, lies just 50 meters away) and end up on your plate after a walk through the kitchen. Well, NOTHING could be further from the truth! Here, where everything can be fresh, it is NOT FRESH! And even worse, according to the staff, it is FRESHLY FROZEN!! So fresh!!😂😂😂😂😂🤢 Isn't that just a bit of a missed opportunity, a crazy missed opportunity, and scandalous that you sell frozen fish at such a location! Then don't put it on your menu! You don't have to let the price stop you, but the taste certainly is! In short, if you want to eat FRESH Kibbeling in Urk, I would avoid this restaurant! It is a typical case of why put energy and effort into something when you can do it this way.

It is a beautiful and pleasant place. The staff is friendly and treats visitors with great respect. Unfortunately, the presence and behavior of a number of the wrong people have caused me not to go there anymore.

A beautiful shop by the harbor with delicious drinks and food. The coffee with extra cream and coffee liqueur was our highlight ❤️ It's definitely worth a visit and we'll be back when we're in the country again.

Very nice, cozy, authentic restaurant. When we were there, a group of people from Urk were sitting next to us, chatting very pleasantly. We had a delicious meal there. There is a bit of a wait, but then you know it is fresh. And you can taste it. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious lunch. The eel sandwich and salmon sandwich were very tasty, well-filled! Service was great. Good value for money.

I was in Urk for Urker Day, my first time. What a day and how I enjoyed it. The little harbor of Urk is highly recommended for the food and atmosphere. Simple, pure, nothing wrong with it. I will be back to Urk soon and will definitely be there again during Urk in Winteresferen. I can't wait.

We had delicious cod and herring.

We were passing through Urk and happened to stop by this restaurant. We decided to try a dish with locally smoked salmon — and it was absolutely amazing! I have never had such delicious salmon before. Truly outstanding! The restaurant itself is very cool and atmospheric, with a maritime theme where you want to sit and look at every detail. The view from the restaurant is also excellent. It made us want to come back in summer to sit on the outdoor terrace.

Het Haventje van Urk is a fun and friendly spot, both inside and on the terrace in the summer. It's a vibrant place with a young crowd, perfect for a night out. The snacks are excellent and the service is reasonably quick, although the Speatjen glasses are a bit small 😊 It's a great place to enjoy a Bokkerburg or Bokkerbier while enjoying the cozy decor and homey atmosphere. Definitely recommended for a relaxing evening with friends.

We've had lunch here before, but this time we had coffee and cake for our son and daughter-in-law's civil wedding. The café has recently been renovated and expanded, making it ideal for parties. The decor is very cozy and the staff is efficient and friendly.

Nothing modern, and looking at the photos, you'd almost think it was dusty or musty because of all the furniture...but nothing could be further from the truth! Spotlessly clean! Kudos to the cleaners! Friendly staff. The food was good, and the lunch was excellent. Great place! A real harbor café, just the way you want it to be. Great!

Here, at the end of March, enjoying a cool beer and rosé in the sun on the terrace of "Het Haventje van Urk" in the middle of the old village. The terrace was pleasantly full on Saturday afternoon. We had just come from the Urk museum and were then able to "absorb" the contemporary, modern culture and atmosphere of Urk. The lilting Urk language predominated. As a fan of the real-life TV series Urk, I saw and heard many new real-life talent or additions to the current cast. 🎬🎥📺 Residents of Urk are known for being a closed community and where you as a "stranger" cannot easily get involved. Perhaps it was due to the alcohol that flowed freely, but there was no sign of the so-called "closedness" here. The Urk gold earring, often with a lighthouse, fishing boat or other Urk or family characteristic, still shines in many men's ears. This now seems to me more of a contemporary Urk fashion trend than what the earring was originally worn for. But personally I like cultural traditions. But...I digress...sorry...it was a great stay in Het Haventje van Urk. Nice terrace. Also nicely decorated inside. Friendly and prompt staff. And still reasonably affordable compared to catering establishments in the Randstad 🍻🥂.

De service van dit etablissement is sterk afhankelijk van het humeur van sommige personeelsleden. Bij drukte is het merendeel van de bedienden niet stress bestendig. Dan is het vaak ook niet eens mogelijk aan de bar een drankje te bestellen. Mij werdt gesommeerd terug te keren naar mijn tafeltje en de bediende af te wachten. Omdat er geen vrije tafel te vinden was moest ik met een droog keeltje in een klein hoekje op een stoel wachten. Een rots in de branding is echter de Senior bediende 'Femmie'; Zij bood mij direct een mooie tafel op het terras, en voorzag mij meteen van een drankje. Zij is ook vaak eigenhandig in staat de zaak draaiende te houden en laat zich niet zomaar gek maken. Ze is erg klantgericht en erg vriendelijk. Als de wereld alleen uit Femmies zou bestaan zouden we in een utopie leven.

The Haventje van Urk is above all a nice café with a lovely terrace. Sunshades and trees make it a great place to stay, even on hot days. Inside, the classic brown color predominates. The lunch menu is limited, but the quality is more than sufficient. The bun was unfortunately soft and did not seem fresh. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food arrives quickly.

Wir wollten dort als Familie zum Abend essen. Leider wurde uns erst bei der Bestellung mitgeteilt dass wir wohl nicht nach Karte bestellen können, sondern nur die sogenannten Snacks. Fazit, der Laden ist eine überteuerte Frittenbude und nicht mehr. Schade. 1 Stern ist für die Auswahl an Alkoholfreien Bieren und 1 Stern für die sauberen WCs.

Eher eine Kneipe, weniger geeignet für Familien mit Kindern. Personal nett, aber völlig überfordert. Wussten nicht mal auf einfache Fragen (Gibt es einen Hochstuhl?) eine Antwort. Ob sie die Speisekarte auch auf Englisch haben, war die Antwort: „Ja, haben wir. Bringen wir ihnen.“ Nach 10 Minuten nochmals nachgefragt war die Antwort: „Nein, eine Karte auf Englisch haben wir doch nicht.“ Spätestens da wäre der Hinweis angebracht gewesen zu sagen, dass es am Abend nur die „Snacks“ von der Karte zu bestellen gibt, nicht aber die „Hauptgerichte“. Diese Aufklärung erfolgte aber erst dann, als wir gewählt hatten und die Bestellung nun endlich aufgeben wollten. Das Essen (Snacks) war alles komplett frittiert und sehr fleischlastig. Bezahlt werden musste man dann drinnen an der Theke. Toiletten okay, bei den Herren fehlte aber die Seife.

Hier word het heerlijke Urker Bokker bier geschonken echt een aanrader! Prachtig terras om te genieten van de Urker sfeer.

Burger war mehr als lecker. Kibbelinge sehr gut. Pommes sehr lecker. Coole Location. Abzug gibt es bei der Bedienung. Sehr unfreundlich. Erst als es um die Bezahlung ging, wurde sie freundlich und sprach plötzlich deutsch.

We kwamen binnen en de sfeer was echt heel erg gezellig en goed zag er van binnen echt leuk er uit, we werden snel geholpen en de service was uitstekend, toen wij ons eten kregen zag er mooi er uit en het smaakte ook goed alleen de kibbeling vond ik wel wat taai/droog de vis zelf maar voor de rest was het echt heel erg lekker, het zag er ook schoon en netjes er uit van binnen in het restaurant.

Mooie inrichting ,schitterend uitzicht, prettig personeel en heerlijke koffie. Verder ook van alle markten thuis voor feesten en ander vermaak.

Mega urige Kneipe. Haben dort nicht gegessen. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Mega Auswahl. Hier muss man einfach gewesen sein, wenn man Urk besucht.

Geweldig leuke kroeg! Vriendelijk, gezellig, leuke gasten.

Lekker terras met uitzicht op een deel van de haven. Dichtbij de grote parkeerplaats. Ondanks de wat beperkte dinerkaart heerlijk gegeten! Wel grote porties. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Leuke vissers- en jachthaven met veel restanten van een meer dan 1000- jarige geschiedenis. In de nieuwe haven en vooral in de Oosthaven zijn prima plekken te vinden om als passant af te meren. Geen luxe steigers, maar alle noodzakelijke faciliteiten zijn aanwezig. Als extra krijg je de sfeer en enkele historische monumenten van dit active vissersdorp.

In tegenstelling tot de rest van Urk is dit restaurantje gewoon open op zondag!! Heerlijk geluncht, met mooie salade met vis en flinke uitsmijter. Bediening beetje verstrooid maar wel vriendelijk (zal de warmte geweest zijn). Uitzicht op de haven.

Al vaker hebben we op zondag voor een gesloten restaurantdeur op Urk gestaan. Alsof de toerist dan even op dieet is. Ieder zijn ding, maar commercieel is het een beetje dom als je van horeca je vak hebt gemaakt. Maar er zijn gelukkig ook andersdenkenden met een stevige lunchkaart in een gezellig bruin café met veel scheepsattributen voor sterke verhalen. Het Haventje heeft een gezellig terras bovendien en wat er met een vriendelijk humeur geserveerd wordt, is van prima kwaliteit. Met vertrouwen nemen we onze gasten voortaan mee voor een gezellig wandelingetje door het oude dorp met zijn leuke bezienswaardigheden. De placemat van Het Haventje wijst je de weg.

De sandwich zalm krijg je daar met (veel) nasigroenten en weinig zalm en de sandwich kip is met een lapje vleeswaren kip en geen gerookte kip (wat verwacht werd). Bediening duurde lang.
