Het Lokaal in Wijk 04 Isselt

After getting completely drenched in a summer downpour, we warmed up nicely at Het Lokaal. Thanks to the hot tea and the vegan snack mix, combined with the welcoming service, we soon completely forgot about the storm 🙂

Had a delicious meal, friendly service, cozy place. Highly recommended! And the accompanying shop with fresh products is definitely worth a visit too.

Although the concept of the place is nice, the service is truly awful. A slim waiter with glasses acts like he’s king, completely ignores the customers, and just does as he pleases. He doesn't bring the order, and when you ask for it again, he tells you to be patient. In the end, the order simply never arrived. It's a shame, because he ruins the whole atmosphere and, in fact, the whole place!

Had a delicious meal. Super tasty falafel in the salad, which was well-filled and rich in flavor, and delicious cheese fondue. Tasty lemonade too! Very surprising 😊 The only point for improvement was the snack mix; in our opinion, the oyster mushroom balls contained a bit too little oyster mushroom. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wow, a hotspot I didn't even know about. Had an amazing lunch here with a friend; what an atmosphere, looks beautiful, easy parking in the parking garage. Great concept with a shop attached! The menu, so many tasty dishes, and yes, the service (I work on t-shirts here) was magnificent. The lady who served us was full of passion for her work and guests; she had a beautiful name and radiated. We will be back! To try the whole menu.

We tried quite a few things here and overall had a lovely time 🥰 The lemon meringue pie was by far our favorite 🍋 the texture was so unique and the lemon flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sour and not too mild 👌 The Blueberry pie was also fantastic 🫐 with a firm crust, a soft fruity filling, and a nice tart note running through it. I will definitely be ordering that one again next time 😋 The Brioche unfortunately wasn't for us 😕 it was quite hard and just not to our taste. Coffee was decent ☕ we had the latte macchiato and flat white, both pretty standard. The atmosphere was calm and cozy 🕯️ with plenty of nice little corners that would be perfect for a relaxed meetup or a date 💕 The vibe felt very international and the staff were lovely, super friendly and welcoming 😊 Another nice touch is that you can order either through their menu online 📱 or directly with the staff, and the whole ordering process felt really user friendly. Definitely coming back 🙌 Everything we tried was great except for the brioche.

Spacious restaurant where we are warmly welcomed. We order something to drink and eat: bread with oyster mushroom croquettes and a market garden sandwich. It takes a while to be served, but the restaurant is quite busy. After dinner, we have an ice coffee and a latte, and then go to pick up some tasty local products from the shop. More than worth a visit.

Het Lokaal has a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is always good; they have excellent coffee beans that are always different. They have a great selection of lunch dishes and friendly service. You can also sit outside. Highly recommended!

Truly a special location. I enjoyed a delicious lunch. A beautiful concept using local products. Pleasant service and a nice atmosphere. It is a great place to have lunch, even with a large group. The shop is especially unique, where they sell chocolate from the chocolate makers, among other things. If it were closer, this would become my regular lunch spot.

We had a wonderful dinner last night with a large part of our family. We contacted Het Lokaal well in advance about the possibility of getting a Fodmap-friendly menu. And it was possible; willingness all around. The chef was clearly well-informed and prepared, and the service was the same. The Fodmap menu was in no way inferior to the menus of the others. Fantastic that this was possible. Thank you! Nothing but praise for the food. I can really enjoy a delicious piece of meat, but the versatility of the menu, the beautiful combinations of herbs, ingredients, and textures in the food were amazing once again. See you soon!

€7.50 for a smoothie with ‘fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away anyway’?! Incredibly expensive place for a spot that bills itself as local and socially responsible. Overpriced coffee.

Three years ago, we took Australian friends along for a hugely successful evening at Het Lokaal, and now that they were back in the Netherlands, we had to go. Well, that was no hardship! What delicious food, beautifully presented on our plates, and Juan turned it into a real party with his excellent bilingual explanations. A wonderful experience in every respect!

We had a delicious meal! There is a changing set menu, so you only need to think about how many courses you want. :-) Original and visually appealing dishes. I had swordfish with it and that was also very tasty, but I wouldn't have even missed it without it. We were there on a warm evening and sat outside. It was funny how they had covered the terrace with some reed mats so that you don't feel like you are sitting among the office buildings. Very friendly and helpful staff. In short, we would love to come back here again!

Lunch with friends; we had a really great time. One of us follows a gluten-free diet and found excellent options, with great attention to dietary needs and the availability of gluten-free bread, which isn't always a given. I had a falafel and hummus salad: fresh, plentiful, and very tasty. Overall, excellent value and a pleasant atmosphere. A definitely positive experience, one to recommend and repeat.

A great place for a cozy, good drink and food!

It had been a while since I ate here. If possible, it has all become even better. The multi-course vegan weekend menu (we opted for the five courses) is highly recommended. Fantastic food with a multitude of flavors. Beautifully presented by the still enthusiastic staff. Really very good; you are missing out if you don't go eat there soon.

Relaxed environment, also plenty of organic and gluten-free options. A bakery (with delicious bread and pastries) and shop are also present. Boot coffee is also delicious.

Great! We had a set table for a larger group (8 people). Suitable for everyone; including vegetarians and vegans. Delicious soup, good bread, salads, and toppings. It was also nice that the food was refilled without limit. And good service. Highly recommended!

Great vegan food, friendly service. The restaurant is situated in a quirky decorated, old industrial hall (warehouse?) close to Amersfoort Central Station. My wife and I had a lovely evening here. We had a 5 course menu that was both surprising and delicious. The service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended if you are looking for something off the beaten track, interesting and delicious.

We had a delicious vegan meal here; it's great that everything is organic and local. We were well assisted by the friendly staff, and every dish was explained clearly. Each dish was unique and not easy to recreate at home. Three courses were enough for us, but then again, we aren't very big eaters. I would love to come back sometime, perhaps for lunch! The only downside is that the chairs weren't very comfortable; they felt like wooden chairs from a classroom. I understand that it might be part of the atmosphere, but they weren't really comfortable, especially since you sit there for a long time during all the courses.

A truly unique experience. Despite the large number of visitors, there was an atmosphere of calm, with music in the background, allowing us to talk pleasantly and undisturbed. The food was exclusive without being excessive. Delicious natural flavors that formed a cohesive whole, with details of all ingredients remaining recognizable. Accompanied by beautiful accompanying wines, among other things. Fine explanations and personalized service from the wait staff. In short, highly recommended if you are able to spend a little more for an intimate, 'tasteful' evening.

Food perfectly adapted to allergies and still very tasty. Non-adapted food is also great. The ingredients they use are of high quality. You can taste it!

Had a lovely Wednesday evening as friends. Friendly service with knowledge of the food and wine. Although not overly attentive – water ran out, couldn't order a second round of coffee, dishes served quite quickly one after another – the overall experience was good. The vegan menu offered delicious small dishes (sometimes a bit too large) that were surprising and beautifully flavored. I personally appreciated that the textures (mouthfeel) were also easy to handle. Dietary preferences were taken into account very well. Nice local blond beer to start (highly recommended). Chose an excellent Dutch Blanc de Noir to accompany it. Tea selection was also good and tasty. Tip: 9 wines by the glass/bottle is really far too few for such a good kitchen... So: expand the menu or, as a nice touch, add a notebook with all sorts of nice wines that the chef/waitress discovered somewhere (bring 2 cases at a time) and sell them to enthusiasts.

Had a cappuccino with a brownie. The cappuccino wasn't anything special. The brownie, on the other hand, was very tasty.

I had coffee at Het Lokaal today. The service is friendly, but the prices are absurd. 4 euros for a small cappuccino, and the cup wasn't even full. There's also a little pattern in the milk, which isn't a cappuccino, but a flat white. I drink a lot of coffee, made from freshly roasted beans, but I didn't find the flavor particularly appealing. Especially not for that price. It's a shame, but a one-time deal.

Last Thursday, I had a three-course dinner at Het Lokaal with my grandson (17 and vegetarian). As my grandson said, "It was a unique experience." The service was excellent and friendly, and the information was excellent.

Yesterday we enjoyed a delicious and very surprising plant-based Christmas menu. Not everything was entirely to our liking, but the preparation and flavor combinations are beyond dispute.
