We were an einem Donnerstag Nachmittag nach einem ah Besuch here eingekehrt. Es gab das Boswachter Schnitzel. Those Pommes were phänomenal! The operation is pleasant and pleasant, the ambient environment is pleasant and pleasant. We come here and we live in Aalten since. We stopped here on a Thursday afternoon after visiting [unclear - possibly a restaurant or location]. We had the Forest Ranger Schnitzel. The fries were phenomenal! The service was very nice and friendly, the atmosphere very cozy and beautifully Christmassy. We will definitely come back when we are in Aalten.

Oh, how we enjoyed ourselves tonight with a very large group! 😃😀 From start to finish, hospitality with a capital "G," and the food was delicious, with every course truly enjoyable! The interior too...what a wonderful atmosphere and plenty of privacy in the beautiful living room-style setting and nooks. In our lovely Aalten, it's just "normal," isn't it? Delicious food in a cozy environment

A very nice restaurant, with very friendly staff. The food was delicious. Highly recommended. Bowls of water for the dog upon arrival.

It was fine, but not really great. I had a request for a birthday. We were told about it immediately upon arrival, so no surprise. The birthday boy's meal, schnitzel, wasn't tasty.

This restaurant has everything you need for a great dinner. It's spacious, has a large terrace, a large playground, an extensive menu with reasonable prices, good service, and excellent food. We were pleasantly surprised; the food was really good. Unfortunately, the disappointment for our 4- and 6-year-olds came at the end of the evening: there's a claw machine with small toys inside. There's always a prize; you can try until you get something. It's a fun idea, but it does raise expectations. Our 4-year-old shouts, "Yes, I want that!" Then you happen to grab that toy, happy as a kite. Our other 6-year-old shouts about something else, "Yes, I want that!", and then you don't grab it and get a different toy. The result: the child was inconsolable the entire evening. The toy swap box wasn't helpful either; the one item the child was focused on wasn't there. An adult or teenager understands this, but for a six-year-old, you have to live up to established expectations. In other words: replace the slot machine with a fun grab bag where you can see what you're grabbing.

Good food, very friendly staff. Also recommended for children, there is a nice playground nearby.

Good food for a reasonable price

Well, the appetizers were a long wait, and the staff was pushy about drinks. The ice cream was nothing special: two wafer-thin slabs of ice cream with a few drops of mango sauce, shaved nuts, and a mound of whipped cream. It was more like the ice cream itself, served on a plate. I thought it was a mistake. Within 5 minutes, it was gone. It looked like a kid's ice cream. The next ice cream, but it was nice to be back at the ice cream specialty store. The wait for ice cream was also 40 minutes. I've never had to wait that long. It's a shame, but I won't do it again. For that price, I definitely expect ice cream that matches the price.

Great location. The food is excellent. Lovely cozy atmosphere. The terrace is fantastic with a large playground for the kids in a safe, private setting. A plus: a wide selection of draft beers and a nice selection of bottles. We'll be back soon. See you Friday then 😁👍🏻

The location is great, only the table was too small for 4 people, and it took a very long time for the food to arrive, the food was delicious.

There are also four campervan spaces in the parking lot. It's not listed on Google Maps. The owner does! The grandchildren are very enthusiastic! The food was delicious, except the steak wasn't medium, but rare. They offered a new steak, but we didn't choose that. It was all delicious.

(I find the headsets the staff wear rather impersonal, even though they might be quite practical. It kind of loses the "charm" of the restaurant.) The food is good, but there's still room for improvement so the quality matches the service and the beautiful place you've created!

A super cozy little place with a huge playground for kids attached. It's lovely among the beautiful trees, and at 7 p.m. someone even started singing (softly). The food was delicious and more than enough. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again.

We went with four adults and three children. The menu was relatively simple, but the dishes were excellent and tasty, so it was perfect. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive to young children. We had a lovely outdoor seating, highly recommended!

We came for pancakes, but they're not on the menu. We decided to order the lunch tasting menu. The menu clearly states it's for two people. The quality is good, but the menu doesn't mention the €17.50 per person! That's why I got an unpleasant surprise when I paid! That's not nice. I recommend they clearly state the price per person on the menu, because €35 is quite a lot for what we got!

They helped me with drinking water because the tap for campers was not working.

We earned three stars because the restaurant staff were fantastic, the ambiance was beautiful, and the playground was great. But the food served was completely out of character. Dry, flattened schnitzels cost €23 to €24. The children's fries were refried too many times with half a dry schnitzel and two tomatoes for €11.50. The raw vegetables were a small salad with not even a decent dressing. Next time, we'll have a nice cup of coffee and cake at Het Noorden, and we'll get the schnitzel and fries at the chip shop around the corner. P.S. I'm mentioning the prices here because they're not listed on the menu.

Opinions are really divided on this one, but we think it's a shame they've stopped being a train-themed pancake restaurant. Our family affectionately called this restaurant "Thomas the Train." With a (renovated) playground, we always found serving primarily pancakes to be good, and that's gone now. We've eaten there a few times since the change, but we don't think we'll be back...it's a shame.

Ideal for kids: a lovely large playground with a patio. The food took a little longer, but the staff proactively and efficiently resolved the issue. Lots of delicious dishes to choose from, not just standard fare. Definitely a fun place to go with kids; it's a nice change from a regular pancake restaurant.

A cozy restaurant for the family but also for just the two of you.

A lovely location, tastefully decorated, and with a large, fun playground for the kids. Dogs are also allowed. We had a delicious meal. The portions are really generous, and everything is reasonably priced. The staff is above average these days. You're noticed (even when your glasses are empty) and they're very friendly. The crowd was diverse, and I can tell from that that everyone feels comfortable. Highly recommended!

Great food. Friendly staff. A lot of wasp problems, though. When we ordered fries, we didn't get them until after we'd already finished everything else. That was a shame. At one point, our table was cleared, even our glasses. We got the distinct feeling we had to leave. But the waitress did let us order drinks. Nice beer garden/playground where you can also relax. Hopefully, something will be done about the wasp nuisance soon.

What a lovely location! Beautiful company and incredibly pleasant atmosphere. The place was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, including a delicious tiered lunch and a fantastic iced coffee for dessert. Perfect for large and small groups, and for those with children.

First visit to Het Noorden van Aalten. We sat in the lovely, sunny terrace, enjoying the atmosphere. While waiting for our food, the children had a great time playing in the playground. The food was delicious, especially the sweet potato fries. Special mention goes to waitress Jade for her exceptional service!

We went there for the first time recently and were very surprised by the friendly service and the excellent food. It definitely won't be our last visit. We'd be happy to come back again 👍👍👍

Stopped here during my bike ride. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. I really enjoyed the Chrispy Fried Chicken pieces (not fried chicken!) with a delicious crispy coating and the homemade lemonade! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Friendly staff, nice playground and clean toilets. If you order with the QR code you can't pay with card or cash. Only with the app on your mobile. Apparently waiters don't have a pin machine or something. Ordering inside is fine. The chocolate milk is 0% sugar and not tasty. They don't ask if you want it without sugar... In short, it was good, could be better.

We stumbled upon it on the way to Obelink. A real insider tip! A very nice restaurant (beautifully decorated), very friendly service, and delicious food! It has a great indoor playroom and a fantastic outdoor playground. At the end, we each got a coin for the toy machine. Our kids told us to give it 5 stars 😁 - and we're happy to do so!

Arrived on Ascension Day by bike and enjoyed coffee + something to eat. Nice by the (working) fireplace. There is also a nice playroom where the children can enjoy themselves.

And just when you think there isn't much to say about the North anymore - considering those boys and girls have been around in Aalten for generations - I saw a new interior. Well done and completely up to date. Celebrating a birthday, renting a room, drinking a beer... it's all possible, given the friendly staff, you certainly won't let anything get in your way.

We really enjoyed visiting the old children's playground and we had wonderful afternoons with ice cream and drinks with and for the little ones! In order to expand the seating situation outside, the old playground had to go. Yesterday afternoon we were there again with the children (2+4.5 years). At the entrance to the garden we noticed that the gate facing the street had been removed. It's a shame, because beforehand it was certain that the children couldn't simply leave the property. Unfortunately, the little ones didn't like the new playground anymore. Unfortunately, the climbing frames were too high and there was nothing left for this age group. As for table selection for smokers, we were only offered seats under the trees. I didn't think it was that bad, but the places and the tables were full of greenery, which was a lot from the trees. Unfortunately the table wasn't wiped down for us. In addition, there was always green stuff in our drink glasses. An ice cream for the children from the dessert menu should now cost €8.50. It's a shame, we left the restaurant disappointed.

They have recently completely changed the playground, it is very beautiful and still has a high slide. Food service and menu excellent. The gill trampoline with the Achterhoek flag is also very beautiful!

Good concept, price quality very good. Staff understands how good catering works. very nice. Very relaxed place despite all the kids present. Just really thought about it. from a tap water bag to suntan lotion on the terrace and even a deodorant can in the toilet. clean and well furnished. only point of "criticism" dessert are almost all fruit oriented. missed the chocolate, caramel or something. ;) will definitely come back.

Het restaurant heeft een gezellige inrichting waar je je thuis voelt. Wij kunnen Het Noorden bij een ieder aanbevelen.

A large, yet cozy, family-friendly restaurant where a lot of life takes place. The food was very tasty and there is something to suit every taste. The service was very friendly. Dogs are also very welcome. If we are in Holland again, we will be happy to come back.

After a day in Obelink it is a nice place to relax!! 10 euros for electricity for 24 hours, loading water and disposing of your belongings. There are 4 camper spots. Dinner afterwards. What a cozy and nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff and the food is more than excellent. Great value for money. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Top
