Het Noorden van Aalten - Eten Drinken Vieren in Wijk 01 Buitengebied Aalten

A little gem. We've had lunch and dinner here once. Both times the food was top-notch and the staff friendly and cheerful; even though it was quite busy, the atmosphere was great and welcoming. Plenty of parking and clean toilets.

We had a delicious meal and the staff were super friendly. I can really recommend this restaurant.

We had a super delicious meal. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. And the staff is friendly.

Such friendly service and really delicious food.

What a great place, you drive right past it so easily, but once you know about it. Had a very nice lunch, good food, very tasty, great price. Simply very good.

Beautiful restaurant with super friendly staff. Had a delicious meal, highly recommended.

What a cozy, nice, and above all atmospheric restaurant. A good menu with delicious dishes. And the staff is super friendly and committed to the customer's well-being (especially on your birthday). Definitely recommended to go there (again) ❤️

Had a delicious dinner. Friendly service. Reasonable price.

Very friendly and attentive! Had a delicious meal.

Great restaurant, fast and good service.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Friendly, nice service.

enjoyed it. tasty lunch. surprise

Nice place to eat or have drinks. A large terrace with a big playground that is reasonably visible from most spots. Seating around the playground is limited. The food is tasty and there are plenty of vegetarian options, even for the snacks. The staff is very friendly. After paying, the children receive a token for the claw machine to pick out a gift.

The food was really great. However, we had to wait a very long time for the main course, even though we were there with two kids who were quite fed up. Also, my boyfriend's dessert suddenly arrived during the main course, which was a bit strange. The 3-course menu for 40 euros is very nice. But because of the long wait, I skipped dessert. It wasn't fun for us anymore. The food is really good and tasty, so if you have all the time in the world and no kids, it is highly recommended. We did get a free round of drinks due to the inconvenience. Sweet! The staff is very friendly, by the way.

Tasty, nice staff, atmospheric, Went with friends, they highly recommend it

Delicious food, friendly service and nice atmosphere

Folk festival in Winterswijk, full restaurants! Fortunately, Aalten is nearby. What a great choice we made opting for "Het Noorden"; a superior chef, so we had a delicious meal and perfect service! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Food, service and atmosphere simply excellent 👍🏻

The only thing is, there is no regular food on the menu like a fried egg😮‍💨

We nicely reserved a table for a pleasant evening meal, but upon arrival we were already told that we only had 1.5 hours and then had to leave. So they prioritize quantity over quality at Het Noorden; very disappointing.

Delicious food, the three-course fixed-price menu offers good value for money and quality to boot. Also, a very beautiful terrace, especially if you have young children.

Tasty food! A bit small though, and a bit on the pricey side.

Had a delicious lunch. Beautiful terrace. Highly recommended

Nice if you are with children, but I wouldn't be quick to return here for a relaxed dinner. It feels mainly like a children's paradise: busy, noisy, and fun for families, but less suitable if you want to eat quietly. Due to the rain, everyone was inside, making it extremely noisy and preventing us from sitting comfortably together at the table. The service was friendly and enthusiastic, but came by far too often for us, sometimes every few minutes. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. Many dishes struck me as pre-made or reheated, and the flavor was barely present. The cocktails and wine were also not up to the standard you would expect for this price. For people with children or for whom a busy and noisy dinner is not a problem, this might be a fine choice. If you are looking for good food and a quiet dining experience, I would drive on.

We had a delicious meal and great service. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Had a delicious salad with wild salmon, prompt and very friendly service

Very friendly people, delicious food, and a beautiful location!

We had a very tasty meal; it was incredibly busy for a Monday, but the service was good and we didn't have to wait anyone—there was enough staff to assist everyone!

We had just finished a bike ride to Obelink, ending with dinner at Het Noorden. This is highly recommended. Delicious satay and schnitzel were very tasty.

Had a coffee break with something tasty and then a local beer.

Had a delicious meal! Nice to see the enthusiasm of the friendly staff.

Had a lovely afternoon: enjoyed food and drinks on the terrace with a view of the playground where the kids had a great time playing!

Great location for our group of 10 people. There were also plenty of treats and opportunities for the little children to play. Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere were provided by amazing staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service

Absolutely fantastic. Best terrace in the Netherlands 2026. What a wonderful experience. And what a delicious lunch🎊

Wonderfully cozy, top-notch food, and very friendly and hospitable service. And what a fantastically beautiful terrace 😘👌

Had great service and a super tasty lunch on the best terrace in the Netherlands.

Delicious food and friendly staff

Delicious food, although the portions on the small side for some dishes. Service fantastic; you could tell the staff saw you. Room for the dog if he can stay quietly under the table.

Super cozy terrace. Nice, enthusiastic service.

Cozy! We had a glass of wine with bitterballen on the side.

What a fantastic place! Now we fully understand why Het Noorden van Aalten was named the winner of the Misset Horeca Terras Top 100. Everything is perfect: the hospitality, the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the attentiveness of the staff. You feel welcome here from the very first moment. We are colleagues from beautiful Limburg ourselves, so we know how important the experience and hospitality are. Nevertheless, we have now added a new favorite hospitality spot in the Achterhoek to our list. Compliments to the entire team; you can be proud of what you have created. If we are in the area again, we will undoubtedly return. Highly recommended!

A really beautiful terrace and many food and drink options. With friendly service.

Nice place for lunch, with or without children.

Exceptionally friendly and hospitable staff. Had a delicious meal.

My son and husband went here for dinner. Partly because they themselves work at the 2021 winner, Brasa Purmerend. So this lunch was immediately on the schedule for the holiday. They had a fantastic meal!

Perfect! Atmosphere, food, hospitality, all perfect.

We arrived here by bike to quickly refill a water bottle. Apart from the fact that it was already very nice that this was allowed, we were even able to get ice and a lemon slice in it! Super service.

Stopped here for lunch during a motorcycle ride. Delicious lunch and very friendly service.

We had snacks, it was fine. Service/staff super good and friendly. Granddaughter also had a great time at the playground.

Had a delicious meal for a fair price.

Nice place... you can sit outside comfortably.

Good food, good chef, and friendly service. Good atmosphere and regional beer.

Beautiful gem in Aalten, cozy atmosphere, good food and exceptionally pleasant staff, TOP

Nice place with a great play area for the children. We had the 3-course menu for a great price. The food was tasty and the atmosphere cozy!

Very friendly staff, the food is top-notch; with this hot weather they had their own charred drinks, I had all 3 and it was tasty.

Been there many times before but always good, delicious, and cozy.

I can only say one thing about it... FANTASTIC!

A lovely place to eat with children (4, 7, and 9 years old). Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. The children had a great time playing. We will definitely be back!

Nice restaurant, good food, extensive menu, friendly staff, and delicious tasting platter for lunch.

Super atmosphere...top location...great service...very tasty and visually appealing food. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We cannot find any downsides. We had a delicious meal, the service was very friendly and good, and it is a cozy place. We will definitely be back.

Went out for a lovely dinner with friends today. Super friendly staff. Everyone was so nice and impeccably neat. Highly recommended.

Very friendly service. Good food, certainly not too little. Very thoughtful because Junior was celebrating his birthday; they paid very nice attention to it.

What a nice restaurant this is! Had a delicious meal and received prompt and friendly service! You don't see that often these days!

Lovely terrace, good coffee, friendly staff

First the positives: the fries and coffee were very good. Ordered satay; you get one stick with 4 or 5 pieces of chicken. Not very flavorful, and the satay sauce was just as bad. For two people, one small salad bowl; the salad was very dry, no dressing, and it wasn't on the table either. The staff were friendly, though they kept constantly asking if we wanted anything else to drink. With the meal, a red Merlot. I had my doubts about whether it actually was a Merlot; it shot right down your throat. Extremely herbaceous for a Merlot.

We ate at Restaurant Het Noorden 3 times during our vacation, and that really says it all! The service is very friendly and creates a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The food is really delicious and of good quality. Additionally, it is a cozy place where you immediately feel at ease. Definitely recommended if you are in the area! 🍽️✨

Great service, great food, great atmosphere!

What a lovely spot for the family or the whole extended family. We had a delicious lunch on the terrace. The kids played happily, the service was friendly, and the food was good! We had the tasting platter. Beautifully served on a tiered stand. I always enjoy it when a business is passed on to a new generation, and this restaurant has been around for 160 years. It's nice that you incorporated this with photos from the past in the building. We finished with a self-serve soft serve ice cream 🍦. It was a delicious lunch in a beautiful location, and we will definitely be back when we are in the area!! 🌞🤩

Had another delicious meal, this time on the spacious terrace, and it was amazing again! The people there are very friendly and open to any special requests. Super!

I've rarely experienced such friendly service. Very attentive and always with a smile on their face. The food was also excellent, it couldn't have been better. We had a very pleasant stay.

We had a delicious meal at this cozy restaurant with super friendly service.

Nice, casual, shade, also gluten-free food!

What amazing staff! We were helped in a super sweet and patient manner by both the waitstaff and the chefs with adjusting almost EVERYTHING due to dietary challenges. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The food is tasty, the restaurant is clean and cozy, they have a lovely terrace and plenty of play space for children!

You can enjoy a delicious meal here! And your children will have a great time in the large playground.

Had a delicious meal with friends, definitely worth repeating. A cozy restaurant with very nice themes throughout the year. Highly recommended👌

Pleasant hustle and bustle here. Staff who get the hang of things. They work hard and make the guests feel welcome. Food delicious! Nice 3-course value menu.

A wonderful moment, delicious food, great service with a smile. Highly recommended.

This was exquisite... the service, the menu, the staff, the surroundings... I say see you again soon

Had a nice lunch and good gluten-free options! Ordered a tasty gluten-free carpaccio sandwich, which was very good. Also a separate gluten-free fryer for delicious fries!

Had an artisanal lunch with my company. Tasty, juicy carpaccio sandwich, truly delicious. One tip though: get larger plates. It was fine, but sometimes a bit of an effort. Highly recommended. XXX Cassandrae

Super service, the atmosphere was absolutely top-notch, and the food was very tasty and very good.

A nice place where you can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner, or just stop for a drink and a snack. That is what we did. Friendly staff and very clean restrooms.

What a special place with delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal. We will definitely be back here. We enjoyed the 3-course menu with various tasting dishes. They have the flavors perfectly under control. Beautiful location too, situated just on the edge of Aalten. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant, good atmosphere!

Had a lovely dinner on Mother's Day delicious

We were able to sit and eat in peace and quiet and catch up in a very cozy atmosphere, with friendly service.

Highly recommended… Food was delicious and fresh… Staff was very attentive and friendly… Excellent value for money.

We highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was delicious, and the value for money was excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Had a delicious and pleasant meal. Friendly and efficient staff, a nice place, also with children thanks to the playground. Definitely recommended.

Great place to eat, both indoors and outdoors. And a nice, well-organized playground for the children.

It was super cozy and the service was friendly; they were also always ready to make sure we were happy. The food was super tasty, and we wanted for nothing. And for the little ones among us, they also thought of everything from the playground to the table, very nice. We will definitely come back. Thank you for a lovely evening Fam van Olst

Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and a pleasant dining experience. Friendly staff who provide good tips to complement the menu. Hats off!

Affordable and tasty food in a beautiful establishment with friendly staff. Reservations are often necessary, but that is only a good sign.

Everything is super delicious and not expensive

The food was delicious again and it was very enjoyable!

Attended a party here. Good vibes!

We were an einem Donnerstag Nachmittag nach einem ah Besuch here eingekehrt. Es gab das Boswachter Schnitzel. Those Pommes were phänomenal! The operation is pleasant and pleasant, the ambient environment is pleasant and pleasant. We come here and we live in Aalten since. We stopped here on a Thursday afternoon after visiting [unclear - possibly a restaurant or location]. We had the Forest Ranger Schnitzel. The fries were phenomenal! The service was very nice and friendly, the atmosphere very cozy and beautifully Christmassy. We will definitely come back when we are in Aalten.
