A hidden gem in the Achterhoek region. A top-notch restaurant. The food was delicious.

We spent the weekend in Aalten and a day trip to Bocholt, Germany. Because there was a Christmas market and all the restaurants were full, we decided to drive back to the cottage next to this restaurant. And that was a good thing, because we had such a delicious meal, and the service was excellent. It was truly delicious and of excellent quality. The waitress knew exactly how to describe every dish and served it on time, ensuring excellent service. Not too often, and certainly not too little. A top-notch restaurant; we will definitely be back.

Great place, but it's quite expensive, even though it's not quite finished. For example, there was sand in the salad at lunch, and for the price, it could be a bit neater. It's also a bit messy outside in the yard; a little tidying up and sweeping would go a long way. Otherwise, the location is excellent.

Smooth and super-friendly service, delicious food that also looked beautiful, and an atmosphere that immediately made you feel at home. Lots of laughs, delicious food—what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

Great play area for kids (sand area, slides, wagons, air trampoline) and some animals, while parents can relax on the patio. We also sat there with a large group in the evening; the food was delicious! The service and atmosphere were also great!

It's wonderful to take my grandchild there. He loves playing here. And I watch from the patio to see if he's okay.

On my way through (motorcycle tour), I stopped here for coffee. Pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, delicious coffee, wonderful pastries, and a pleasant atmosphere. Great little shop. But unfortunately, there was no room because the motorcycles were fully loaded. Definitely a place to return to.

Update: 2 years later... everything is great. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. A lovely, spacious restaurant that's suitable for many purposes. While I was eating a pulled pork sandwich on the terrace, there was a choir festival going on somewhere inside (I didn't hear it outside, by the way). Outside, there's a large play area for young children. The food was excellent, as was the friendly service.

On a sunny day, we had a lovely lunch at a picnic table near the playground. I had a delicious meatball sandwich. My daughter had a blast playing in the playground, which also had a little train, which she loved. The staff were very friendly, and there's also a large regional store, though I did find the prices a bit high.

We had made a reservation and were warmly welcomed. The staff is attentive and service-oriented. The quality of the food is perfect; it's fresh, and you can taste it. Such delicious meat! We enjoyed our dinner. They also take dietary requirements and cross-contamination into account. I have celiac disease and therefore eat gluten-free. That wasn't a problem. There's also a farm shop with local products. We'd love to return when we're in the area again.

What more can I add to the reviews of other guests, other than to wholeheartedly agree with them? Yesterday was our second time here, and it was sublime again. The menu offers something for everyone, the portions are very generous, and above all, the quality is superb. The service is very friendly, gives good advice, and is passionate about their work. As far as we're concerned: 3 Michelin stars wouldn't be amiss, and combined with typical Achterhoek hospitality, we can only give Suzi's Farm a solid 10.

We came here after a day at the amusement park. It's a lovely, peaceful atmosphere, with a great area for kids to play. All the dishes are local, and you can taste the difference, while the prices are reasonable.

We stopped here for a lunch break and were pleasantly surprised by how much this place has to offer. The food was delicious and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. There’s a great variety to choose from – including warm meals and plenty of snacks for in between. The staff were very kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Families with children will especially love it here. There’s a large outdoor playground with plenty of space to run around, toy tractors to ride on, and even goats walking freely in the area – which was an absolute highlight for the kids! The restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and had a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Another nice bonus: you can buy homemade products directly from the farm, like cheese, jams, and other local specialties – perfect for taking a little piece of the experience home with you.

We actually came for a quick, simple meal, but were incredibly surprised by the exceptionally high quality of the food. It was downright delicious and beautifully presented. We have not eaten such deliciously prepared meat in a long time, and we often eat out in (good) restaurants. We could sit outside in beautiful summer weather and had top service from Thomas and a waitress whose name we do not know. But really a very very nice experience all in all. The only thing is that the whole ambiance (decor / setting) does not match the quality of the food and how refined it is. Because of the appearance we expected hamburgers in a cozy family restaurant. But it was really a veeeeeeery nice surprise, thank you very much for a great evening and until next time!

It is a very nice place to stay for us when we are on holiday. The outdoor play for the children and the hospitality are great! Also nice that there are some animals that you can go to. We like to come there. The children can have fun outside. Inside there is also a play possibility but then you are not in the catering area or otherwise you are separated from the catering area with the children. I understand the choice, but with smaller children it is a bit less pleasant because you do not have a view of it.

Asparagus soup with shredded salmon. They had forgotten the salmon pieces. When they arrived the soup had already cooled down quite a bit. Our "club sandwich" was nothing more than a healthy sandwich. Tasted good by the way.

What a discovery! We were able to stay last minute with a large group and it was great that we ended up there. A gem! Large playground for the children, delicious food for the parents. Perfect combination! Also highly recommended if you have intolerances. Due to a combination of intolerances, I often get a meager plate at restaurants. But every now and then I come across a restaurant that, despite the intolerances, still tries to offer a diverse plate. Suzie's Farm is also one of them. I really enjoyed it! Thank you!

There is room to change the baby/toddler and a nice country store with all kinds of delicious products. Recommended if you are on holiday in the area, for example!

Nice atmosphere and family friendly

It's a wonderful place to sit with children on the terrace in the summer. The staff are very friendly, there's a nice playground, and there are also indoor play areas. However, the prices are ridiculously high. We asked for a vegetarian version of the nachos (without pulled pork) and were given a small bowl of nachos with some melted cheese. A bit pricey for the €9.50 we paid for it. The main courses are also absurdly expensive, and you really don't get much for that. They always serve a shot glass of whipped cream with coffee, but they don't mention that it contains a strong liqueur. So be careful before eating this if you're pregnant or giving it to your child. Our main courses came with a bowl of lettuce with a large hair in it. We reported this, and the only response was, "We'll pass this on to the kitchen." We had requested the beef burger without bacon and well-done due to pregnancy. Apparently, this wasn't passed on to the kitchen either. It's a bit of a shame, because they didn't compensate for the hair in the lettuce, even though no one touched it afterward. We had coffee afterward, and the final bill was well over €100. The young staff were very friendly. True Achterhoek hospitality. But we won't be back anytime soon after this first experience.

We had a delicious meal and it was all made and presented with care and love. We would have loved to eat more, but unfortunately with such large portions there was nothing more we could eat haha ​​😂. Very friendly service and a very nice and tasty shop. We would love to come back when we are in the area.

Eten was heerlijk. Iets wat op was werd toch nog leuk aangeboden als bijgerechtje en er kon zonder meerprijs iets anders van de kaart uitgezocht worden. Producten zijn vers en worden mooi gepresenteerd. Plaatselijk biertje werd aanbevolen en smaakte ook prima. Sfeer is alsof je op het boerenerf bent.

We had a wonderful meal...there were 12 of us. As a result, some dishes got cold quickly...but that didn't detract from the taste or our enjoyment. Kudos to the staff! We'll be back!

Heerlijk genoten van de Jumbo dineractie! Keuze uit 3 voorgerechten, 3 hoofdgerechten en 3 desserts. Bij de wijn een karafje water ontvangen en bij het hoofdgerecht waren de frietjes en salade inbegrepen. Nadien van het vriendelijke personeel ook nog een Achterhoekse Limoncello gekregen als afzakkertje. Het was top!

I went to Suzie's Farm for the second time today, and it was wonderful again! The food is delicious! The portions are definitely not small, so the price-performance ratio is excellent. The service is very friendly! In short: a wonderful, atmospheric restaurant with fantastic food. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful lunch. The food not only looked beautiful but tasted delicious too. It wasn't busy, but it was the late season. We played another round on the lovely 18-hole mini golf course. The service was friendly and excellent. We'll definitely go back!

Although in a beautiful setting, with a wonderful park for the kids we were very disappointed by the overall experience. The food was not anywhere good enough for the price, the kids meals were exorbitant for what they were - FAR too many chips and not enough of anything else. We had the burger and steak, both of which were disappointing. The burger was suspiciously round and smooth and I have had better steaks from the supermarket - the main issue being that we came away with little change from €100 for 2 adults and 2 children (both teetotal and one of us is an infant). There is a lovely little area with petting zoo animals and the children's play area was huge and with loads to do. Overall I would say it may be good for a visit - stay for a couple drinks and a runaround for the kids but don't bother eating at the restaurant.

The surprise menu with wine pairing was very tasty and served beautifully. Very nice service with detailed explanations about the dishes served. Highly recommended for a meal! As for the farm shop: it's a shame that no farm ice cream is sold!

"Hidden" farm located east of Aalten. With a large children's playground, jumping pillow, petting zoo and pedal car track. We spent a lovely afternoon there, Holly had a lot of fun with the attractions on offer and we were able to watch her while sitting comfortably on the terrace. The atmosphere is totally relaxing, the service staff are super friendly and nice! We ate after 5 p.m., and there was no reason to complain here either: the ribs were very good, as was the burger. High quality. We'll be back!

Nice environment to do "something". You can eat there, buy something in the farm shop, hang out, the children can play, and more. Lots to do. We had dinner there. It was not busy, which may be why the food came very quickly. The service was very friendly but also very fast. We had mustard soup, once with bacon and once without bacon. Unfortunately, it was served incorrectly, while they checked it before putting it down. The taste of the soup was fine but the soup was lukewarm. Because we were sitting outside, the soup had also cooled down considerably before we had finished it. Not long after we had finished the soup, we got our main course, which tasted quite good and it was also more than enough in terms of quantity. The beef stew tasted quite good in itself, but was much too salty. Partly because of this, we did not finish it completely. The waitress said that this had been reported before and that she sometimes found it salty herself. The veggie burger was fine. The food was more than enough, and we left with "full stomachs". Overall a great place to eat and check out the shop too.

We went here for dinner with our two children aged 2 and 4. It was a sunny day and we enjoyed it immensely! We really enjoyed the terrace in combination with the super fun playground! The food was plentiful, beautifully presented and very tasty! For the children the food was served at a good, "eat at the same time" temperature. Service was neat and correct. All in all: top spot!

Suzie's Farm is a great day trip, especially if you're out cycling. The playground with its enclosure is a welcome change for the kids. Unfortunately, the playground equipment was so hot during our visit due to the sun's rays that playing on it was no longer possible. There's hardly any shade at the playground. However, there was a water area with pumps, which our children then conquered. The terrace and the surrounding area are beautiful and appropriately designed. It certainly has a holiday feel, although a few small improvements could definitely make it even more enjoyable. The mini golf course could also be nice if there were a few shelters and the grass was cut back. The restaurant itself is very nicely done, and the shop in the entrance area is also impressive. A nice mix that invites browsing. The food is delicious, but not particularly special. The children's meals are overpriced. The waiters were always friendly, but not really at the table very often. Unfortunately, we had to call for more. Overall, 4 stars, with the potential to get 5!

Had dinner with a large group 'among the cows' at the invitation of 'something else real estate agents' It was very pleasant and special to eat in this rural environment. The service was very friendly, special compliments to Tomas who provided blankets when it got cooler and made a tasty fruit salad for my husband who doesn't like sweets. Suzan proudly talked about the farm and the catering life. Thanks also to the real estate agents who organized this but also arranged the sale of the house with good agreements and clear information/communication. We had dinner here last night, we have been here before and were always very satisfied, but unfortunately yesterday it was a bit disappointing. My friend ordered spare ribs and I ordered a vegetable burger, we received the food and after tasting the fries, they turned out to be not warm but lukewarm and the spare ribs were also half cold, my food was the same, after reporting it to the waiter it was brought food and came back warm. Nothing more than praise for the service, she was super friendly, but the food was a bit disappointing, a shame, hopefully better next time.
