Vandaag 9 februari 2025 heb ik geprobeerd een afspraak te maken om daar te gaan eten, maar per telefoon kun je geen afspraak maken wegens dat de telefoon is afgesloten en op site stond ook een 06 nummer werd ook niet opgenomen en berichten kon je ook niet achter laten ben nog langs gegaan en alles was gesloten en bordje met een reden was niet te vinden

When we came in (12:50) 2 other tables were occupied. We were put at a table next to the entrance in an alcove. We were immediately asked if we were coming for lunch or if we were coming for a high tea. (This was a 'meat' lunch that we had booked through social deal. We took off our coats and took a seat, the seat of my chair was very loose, causing me to wobble back and forth. The owner soon came to take our drinks. 5 minutes later she brought it. The two tables that were already occupied had already left. We had emptied the first glass quite quickly, but until we were ready to eat we were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink our food finally came 20 minutes before We heard our fries going into the fryer because of all the crackling we heard coming from the kitchen. There was no one else in the shop so it was likely that this was for us. However, it took another 20 minutes for the fries to be loaded fries were clearly fried twice. The potato was out and was quite greasy. The other snacks were very tasty. What we noticed in between is that every now and then people walk in and come and have a chat in the entrance to the kitchen, which was a bit unusual for us. That aside, during the entire stay, music was played via Spotify with the occasional commercial in between. We were also treated to the sound of the Ring doorbell going off through the speakers. When paying, we were informed that you could not pay by card and that it could only be done in cash or via a check. Our advice in general. Come to the table more often to ask if you would like something to drink. Purchase an ATM, this is very professional and play music via Spotify Premium or via a music system. All in all, no next time for us. Just an update on the above. Got sick after eating here.

the starter salad with shrimps and main course salmon with vegetables were very tasty! I ate via a social deal offer of 17.50 pp for a 3-course menu, which of course is not worth much money. Too bad for the owner that rent is such a bottleneck. I think that is also where negative experiences that are shared come from. The spirit goes out. Wish her good luck!

Very nice place but you quickly become disillusioned. No welcome. Waitress as inefficient as she is unpleasant. At least 45 minutes of waiting for 2 croques which were good. Surprise at the checkout. No card payment. Only by QR code which does not work for foreigners. And nothing in the cash register for cash change. Total amateurism.

You rarely come across slower service and a ditto chef. Simply disinterested, slouching on Crocs and nonchalant, struggling to say hello. If you want to see someone who doesn't want to work you can go here and have a look. Then the speed... man, a snail is faster. Everything goes slowly. We had to wait 50 minutes for a bouncer and there was practically no one on the terrace. Dramatic. Food tasted good, but I fry a better egg at home. Supplement onion is not fried onion but just a few raw pieces of onion mixed with your egg. Lazy, passionless cook. Please do something else, this profession does not suit you. Better walk further because Rotterdam has so much beautiful food.

My goodness, what a mess.. Waited 15mins for drinks. I had non-identifiable things floating in my drink. Asked for a new one and that took forever. We ordered fries which we waited for over 45mins for. No acknowledge of the delay, no information and unpleasant reply from the waiting staff when it was brought up by us. When it came time to pay, the card machine was broken but we weren't informed of it ahead of time. 5-6euros for fresh mint tea? Absolute rip off. They also didn't have change. They were understaffed which I understand but poor attitude from all the staff we dealt with. I should've checked reviews ahead of time. Positives? Good location, nice views and nice music playing.

Fui aquí por un té alto y por lo que vi inicialmente en las fotos se veía bien. Té alto, así como la ubicación. Pero ambos fueron bastante decepcionantes. Los dulces y sándwiches estaban bien, nada especial. Para el té, solo obtiene menta fresca, limón y jengibre, sin recarga. Otros tés vienen con bolsitas de té normales. , por lo que no hay hojas de té secas / hierbas. Además, solo vienen una vez para preguntar si todo es de tu agrado y para rellenar la tetera. Después de eso, ni siquiera se molestan en verificar si necesita algo más. No fue de un servicio que estén dispuestos a dar mucho esfuerzo. Así que para mí, esta es una visita única a este llamado restaurante.

SUCH A BAD RESTAURANT! We want to call them but their number is NOT AVAILABLE! How can we contact them, that we are a bit late. We ordered HIGH TEA from Socialdeal but we have to wait more than 1 HOUR! When the food came, NO SCONES on high tea eventhough it is on the menu via de socialdeal. THE WAITER IS RUDE! We are asking when will the food come, he is always saying "in 10 minutes" but it took more than 1 hour! Btw, he is the young guy with curl hair!!! DON'T BOOK HERE ANYMORE! What a terrible experience in this restaurant. We had booked a high tea at 2pm. we arrived 15 minutes late and wanted to report this by telephone. The telephone number is incorrect. Social Deal, where we had booked, could not reach them either. When we arrived, they said they had already given our shark to someone else. It would take 10 minutes for it to be ready again. We decided to wait. At 3:20 PM the high tea finally arrived, but not what we had all ordered. the quality wasn't great either and the service wasn't great either. Our advice: don't go there again!!

Had high tea today. Unfortunately we arrived too late (our mistake) and tried to call 10 to 15 minutes too late, but the number did not work. When we arrived we had to wait for our high tea for over an HOUR!!! Got tea but no snacks yet. When we asked why it took so long, the waiter told us that they had given our high-tea snacks to other guests... we were a bit late, but not so late that you should give it to other guests, I think. Normally a high tea is ready when you come... Service from the staff is poor, just plain not polite and not friendly. The snacks we eventually got were fine, not fantastic but fine. Furthermore, very little atmosphere in the restaurant, never again for us.

Beautiful place of course, but the pancakes are inedible. If you order a pancake with cheese and/ham you get unbaked ham, and 2 square ugly slices of cheese randomly on your pizza. Sincerely, this is a case of 'I could have made this better at home'. You also cannot pay by card, and the service is very slow. We went to eat here with the rotterdampas, you get a 50 percent discount and even with this discount we were disappointed. The cappuccino is also very bad. If you fancy a pancake, I would make it at home. Well, regular guest Jos is a real legend, that makes it completely worth it and where you sit is also very nice, so 5 stars for the atmosphere!

Incredibly bad service. We ordered a drink and a simple appetizer. It took 30 minutes before the drinks were on the table, while it was very quiet on the terrace and there was no one inside. After waiting almost an hour and a half, and asking twice in between where the food was, we paid without eating. The staff showed no interest at all and we were not offered any apologies. And that afternoon we were not the only table that walked away without ordering anything, or little. We also had to walk inside every time we wanted to ask or order something, because the waiters hardly came outside, but just sat inside and did nothing. In short: It's a shame to spend your money and time here.

Vreselijk. Werden bediend door een jongen van ongeveer 13 jaar oud die amper communiceerde. Het eten veel heel erg tegen. Hele eenvoudige recepten die niet te eten waren. De zalm was bedorven. If I could leave 6 stars I would. We happened to stumble upon here in Delsfhaven looking for some lunch. We were seated by a very pleasant young gentleman along the canal side. Our food came quickly and it was amazing. It has been the best food we have had whilst in Holland. The music and atmosphere is so chill. I would recommend this to anyone! We had the spicy chicken Broodje and Smokey Salmon. Come here, you won’t regret it 😋

Slechte ervaring bij dit restaurant. High tea gereserveerd en betaald vooraf. Service was super slecht! Personeel onvriendelijk en niet behulpzaam. Na een half uur kreeg ik te horen dat de serveerster alleen stond. Zij deed de bediening van het hele terras. Onbegrijpelijk als je zoveel reserveringen aanneemt. Verder was het eten super slecht. Een paar sandwiches met wat sla en saus. Voor 5 personen was het ook erg weinig. Ook gezien dat de etagères op grond stonden om uitgeserveerd te worden. Onbegrijpelijk. Na deze high tea een andere restaurant bezocht omdat niemand een voldaan gevoel had. Ik had mijn geld nog liever aan fastfood uitgegeven. Dan weet je in ieder geval wat je krijgt en kan verwachten. Voor ons staat dit restaurant op de ‘zwarte lijst’! Nooit meer.

We went here for dinner with our family. We came with 4 people, and first an unknown person handed us a card from a table. Because we became curious about the menu. We chose this restaurant and took a seat on the terrace. The friendly waitress brought us 1 card because we indicated that we would like to eat something. We had to indicate that we would also like something to drink. We ordered a bread platter with a portion of chicken wings in advance. The children (8) (11) each chose a children's menu with a snack of their choice. Then the waitress indicated that she actually didn't even know this was on the menu and she didn't actually know what snacks of your choice were possible. A wrap for my wife and a portion of spare ribs for myself. Then the children's main course arrived, neatly delivered, followed by our main course. It tasted good and looked neat. When the children had finished eating, the bread board arrived. They apologized that the bread platter had been served as a ending and when I asked where the chicken wings were, the waitress had to disappoint us that the wings were gone. Or the cook didn't feel like preparing this. During our meal the terrace was cleared and the parasols were folded by the unknown man who initially presented us with a menu. It said on the internet that the restaurant was open until 9 p.m. and we were there around 5:30 p.m. When we were almost done, the unknown man at the table next to us lit a cigarette. While the smell of smoke drifted over our table, we were able to eat the last bites. When I wanted to pay, I asked if I could pay by card, as this was indicated with stickers on the door. But the colleague behind the bar asked me to pay in cash. When I asked for a discount, there was little option. When I was looking for the last 60 cents in my wallet, I was told to leave the rest alone. We went to MC Donalds, a 4-minute walk away, for an ice cream and enjoyed a second round of drinks at home. The first and last time for us in this restaurant.

I give one star because there is no option to give 0. Although the place and the views are good, the treatment is not. We ordered a beer from the menu that they didn't have, we asked for water and they only had carbonated water. When we went to pay, we couldn't pay with a card and they didn't give us any solutions, they just looked at us badly until I asked where there was an ATM. They answered wrong, and I went to the ATM leaving my partner there. When I came back and paid, they rudely threw the return money at me because I told them that it was illegal not to have a dataphone. I do not recommend, very bad service.

Reserved a high tea via Social Deal. The bar staff were very grumpy. The high tea was very sparse and tasteless. I'm a picky eater and never comment, but I couldn't get rid of it. The sandwiches were very dry and not tasty. The few sweets were very sweet and tasted cheap. It's a shame, because it is a nice and beautiful location (outside on the terrace).

The view is fantastic, facing the carillon which rings every 15 minutes. It will allow you to calculate the time between the order and the service of your palt. We had made a reservation for a high tea. Upon entering, the woman behind the counter seemed confused when we said we had made a reservation. In the end it was no problem and we were able to find a spot on the terrace. After 10 minutes the woman came out with the tea and said the food would be arriving shortly. In the end it took us a very long time and after 45 minutes we walked inside to ask when the food would arrive. It was coming, she said. But we were also told there was a staff shortage. After an hour and 10 minutes she finally came out with the trays. The high tea was quite poor. Everyone had 1 small sandwich, 2 buns, 2 mini pastries that were not tasty and some other small cookies. The plates were also full of broken edges. We will never come back here again! Waste of money!

The service was very unfriendly and brought the wrong drinks. After about 30 minutes only 2/3 of our order arrived, and 10 minutes later the rest. The wraps were very dry and tasteless. The fries were way too greasy and dry. All in all: never again and the lowest point of our trip.

The positive first - when the weather is nice, it's a wonderful location right on the canal. Unfortunately, everything else was a big disappointment. Service very unmotivated and unfriendly. Shortly after noon we ordered three wraps when there were few customers. A long 45 minutes later, 2 of them were served. One person of the 3 people watched the others eat. The third person then got the last wrap another 20 minutes later. The fries served with it were massively over-baked and dripping with fat. Card payment was not possible for reasons not further explained.

High tea was very disappointing. Dry bread slices and thinly topped spreads. Was a disappointment for me and a friend. When I asked if I was missing salmon, I was told that I should have chosen a different high tea menu. Cakes and cookies very dry not fresh.

Do you want Salmonella? Then you are here at the right place! Welcome to your worst nightmare! Booked via socialdeal. Barely inside, the waitress' eyes rolled in with a deep sigh. The lady walked around with an Addidas t-shirt and leggings with Crocs underneath. With every question she belittled us and we were shushed like children. Every question was too much! We had a choice of 3 items and we had to remember that because she didn't feel like naming it again. Nachos were good, but unfortunately the rest was bizarrely bad. What was particularly striking was the bizarrely poor service and certainly not hospitable. Unfortunately, a top location on the water with incompetent people running this business. I wish them all the best, but unfortunately Never, Never again!!!

The place is fantastic of course. But in our case I think there were too few staff. And the only lady walking there had either had a very long day at work or she had drunk penetrating oil. With 4 occupied tables it took more than 25 minutes before we were allowed to order. And when we paid, we waited at the bar for at least 10 minutes. In addition, the pin device did not work. Once again beautiful place but this took way too long

Voor mijn verjaardag telefonisch gereserveerd met mededeling dat wij onbeperkt spare ribs zouden komen eten om 6 uur. Na meer dan 20km rijden en parkeergeld (6,-) betaald te hebben kwamen wij in een smoezelige tent waar men van niets wist! "Maar ga maar vast buiten zitten." Achter ons hoorden wij een dame een wrap bestellen, maar haar werd verteld dat dat een half uur zou duren want er was maar één iemand in de keuken. Zij vertrok. Na 12 minuten kwam een dame met een serie piercings door haar tong vragen wat wij dan wilden. Spare ribs? Nee die zijn op, hebben wij niet meer. Na veel geklaag en heen en weer overleg zijn wij maar naar elders vertrokken, en zagen een ander stel op het terras met elk één portie spare ribs ter grootte van een hamburgertje op hun bord zitten....?! Achteraf per e-mail geklaagd en kans geboden te reageren, niets meer gehoord.

I made a reservation by telephone for my birthday, stating that we would come and eat unlimited spare ribs at 6 o'clock. After driving more than 20km and paying parking fees (€6), we arrived in a dingy tent where people knew nothing about it! "But you better sit outside." Behind us we heard a lady order a wrap, but she was told that it would take half an hour because there was only one person in the kitchen. She left. After 12 minutes a lady with a series of piercings through her tongue came to ask what we wanted. Spare ribs? No, we no longer have them. After much complaining and back and forth discussion, we left elsewhere, and saw another couple sitting on the terrace, each with one portion of spare ribs the size of a hamburger on their plate...?! Complained afterwards by email and was offered the opportunity to respond, but heard nothing again.

Made a reservation yesterday for 6:30 PM via social deal. When recording the wishes for the menu, it turned out that there were only 3 choices for the starter. We chose Nachos. After 1 hour at 7:30 pm still had nothing to eat. Waitress told me that I have diabetes and that I was feeling nauseous. Did she perhaps have something to eat? Piece of baguette or finally the nachos? The lady said "yes, yes" but after 15 minutes of being ignored I felt so miserable that we paid for the drinks at 7.45 pm (drinks also quite pricey) and went home. The time on the receipt was wrong. I asked for a signature on the receipt, but the lady only wanted to put a curl. No apologies in the restaurant, just a nasty, grumpy look. Social deal immediately took action and refunded the money. Very polite We won't be coming to Delfshaven again. Definitely not recommended! We weren't the only ones who had to wait a long time yesterday...and seriously...nachos? How simple can this be? And it's a shame that my health was not taken seriously. Too bizarre for words actually.

The fish stew was one of the top five meals I’ve had in my life! We ended up stumbling on this hidden gem after a day at the Dutch Pinball Museum. The outdoor seating by the canal among the old historic architecture was a perfect relaxed ambiance. Highly recommend.

Just had dinner at the Delfshaven coat of arms. Delicious food (chicken satay). Friendly service. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu was in stock. For example, there was no whistle, 2 people ordered ginger beer but there was only 1, and there was no lemon meringue cake.

Great location so we were surprised there were so many seats available. But unfortunately we now know why. The service is ok, but even though there were only 4 tables occupied it took more than half an hour before we got our loaded fries. They appeared to have forgotten about the 5th dish at our table, because the vegetarian pasta took so long that we asked about it when we halfway through our fries. They then replied it was coming soon. Well, it didn't arrive before 4 of us had finished their meals. At another table the same thing happened, one order was served, the other wasn't. They left after the 1st person finished her meal. We should have done the same. When the pasta arrived it was even worse than a microwave dish from a local supermarket...greasy and flavourless. No apologies, no compensation. We even couldn't get 4 non-alcoholic beers because on this Saturday afternoon they had already run out of that. Can you imagine if this place would have all tables occupied? Seriously a disgrace to have a place at this location and delivering such a poor experience.

They don’t accept credit cards, but won’t tell you outright. When you go to pay they pretend like the card machine is faulty and insist on cash. Watched them do it to several customers. When I only had large euro notes they say they can’t accept that and send you out into the neighborhood to get change. Not sure what their game is but behavior if totally suspect. Food was mediocre. Not worth the money. It’s a pity because the location is great. Staff let’s everything down.

Never again, we had high tea and beer via social deal and two kids could order from the menu. Children had their food after 45 minutes and we had our snacks after almost 2 hours. And not what is offered on social deal. The wine and beer that is chosen by an expert according to the deal is also not true. Staff walks in tracksuits with Crocs and the owner took no responsibility and blamed Corona. They had little remorse as long as you paid. So not recommended

I never write any review but this was so bad i can’t let it slide. We came here for lunch and specifically told the waitress we wanted food, not just drinks. Yet she didn’t seem to think it was useful to give us the full menu ! They were all really rude and uninterested as it has been said in other reviews. When we realized we did not get the full menu and asked to change our orders the waitress said we couldn’t because our food was ready (it had already been around 40min since we ordered SANDWICHES). No apologies at all, no gesture, nothing. Couldn’t be worse especially for the price.

Valentine's Day Wednesday February 14, 2023 I went to spend High Tea with a friend here in Het Wapen van Delfshaven with a Social Deal voucher. If I didn't have the voucher, I would have wanted to spend here too. Whether or not on Valentine's Day or on any day. Since Valentine's Day is usually for couples, we specifically wanted to celebrate it not as a couple but as friends. We walked to the bar to introduce ourselves and we were warmly welcomed. Accompanied to the window because we were the first customers to be offered the best seat. With a view of the canal. Unfortunately, it was already predicted that morning that it would rain in Rotterdam. It was drizzly all day. But that didn't spoil the fun. We were first given a kettle with hot water. I laughed so hard. I've been cooking on induction for years, I haven't seen a whistling kettle in decades. We were able to choose delicious tea bags through a selection. There was even fresh sprigs of mint leaves. My friend's favorite. He didn't ask for it. It was already ready on the table. Even the honey. We can drink unlimited tea. 🫖☕☕ (sorry there is no kettle emoji). Heerlie de Peerlie!!! Then she came with the etagère with lots of goodies. Enough for 2!!! 🥰❤️ Savory and sweet, plenty of choice. Everything was fresh, soft and creamy, delicious and well flavoured. Everything was super tasty and like I said super freshly baked. The hostess was very cordial and professional. She came several times to check and ask if it was tasty, if we enjoyed it, or if we needed anything. For example, more hot water for tea. The square scones were still nice and warm. We got lightly sweetened whipped cream. I understand that there was no clotted cream present. Not everyone likes that. I missed that myself. Because that is the counterpart to the jam that was there. It provided the delicious taste on the tongue. Nice lobular effect. What I did miss was the cucumber sandwiches 🤣. Just kidding. That was the typical English thing. That would make the brunch meal perfect 🤣🤣🤣. I must honestly admit that in the Social Deal photo the etagère was full. Not with us. But I paid half the normal price with the Social Deal voucher. We are in the Post-Corona period so we get what we pay for. Fair's fair. The highlights of tea time / high tea is... everything is fresh. Except the chocolates. 🤣 2 Real Rotterdam women came in, they chose something from the menu: salad and appetizer board, 2-3 glasses of wine (white and red). We talked to them after brunch. Then walk out into the street. We ended the day with the Antique Shop, Piet Heyn's birthplace, the former De Dubbele Palmboom Museum. Finally, the Pilgrim to enjoy cappuccino and bitterballen. Mind you we were rained on. We looked back. It was a beautiful day, okay the weather didn't cooperate, but we still looked in the window of the Zakkendragershuisje.

It's a nice little hidden gem in Delfshaven. On a sunny day try and sit outside it's really beautiful. The interior is very small and you sit very close to eachother with the other customers and they are literally in your conversation which i didn't enjoy. But like i said, on a sunny day, a nice high tea or lunch is amazing there.

Worthless! For the first time with a Groupon voucher, I had a 3-course dinner with 3 people. Waited over an hour for the starter. It turned out that the carpaccio still had to come out of the freezer. Main course mediocre. Mayonnaise was also gone. Had to be picked up somewhere quickly. A sour face behind the bar. No eye contact or asking if something tastes good. Skipped dessert. What a disgrace! Groupon or no Groupon. Hospitality is not too much to ask, is it??

I had a High Tea here with a friend yesterday afternoon, we had an offer through Social Deal. I don't think we could have expected much more for 12 euros including unlimited tea, but the high tea was somewhat disappointing. What the high tea actually looked like did not match the website at all, and certain things such as scones were not included either. The tea was tasty (lots of fresh mint and a choice of tea bags), and they refilled it regularly. Staff were friendly and welcoming, but sometimes came across as a bit clumsy. I thought the interior of the café was attractive, but seemed a bit unprofessional and messy.

Today I came for dinner with a rather large group. We were seated in a corner near some round tables. Our waitress was super sweet, made small talk, and always made sure everything was perfect. A personal thank you to the young blonde woman (our waitress) and the friendly gentleman at the counter who paid us! The atmosphere was very pleasant; it was a bit busy, but we didn't notice it much from our seats. The restaurant is in a beautiful location! The food was delicious; we finished everything and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks so much, bears! We'll definitely be back!

I completely disagree with the negative reviews. It was clean, cleaner than the rest of the hospital. The woman who helped me was incredibly friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the prices... a croissant and a small bottle of fruit juice for €5.15 is a bit steep in my opinion. The croissant, however, was delicious and fresh, even still a little warm!
