Ate here today, but oh my... the reservation wasn't processed correctly, there was no parking, bad service, cold food, and then some idiot with a big mouth saying, "I'm glad you don't want to come back..." Tip: if you want good, tasty food, avoid this place. What an amateurish mess.

We had made a reservation for Boxing Day Brunch. We could choose the time, and the options were 11/12/1:00 PM, with a time limit of 2.5 hours. We chose 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, we were told we were in the wrong place and that brunch would be over within an hour. We were allowed to continue anyway and were told it would be resolved promptly. We started our rounds and everything was cold, tough, and so on. The employee in question came over and told us everything could be reheated and we could order soup from him, which we did. We still need to get the soup, and you know when you reheat food, it gets tough and tastes bad! After expressing our displeasure and asking for a solution, he said, "I've already taken two people off, what more do you want?" And we could have made other things. I think the man in question wasn't entirely clear and was having a bad day, because after we said there was no goodbye, he also said, "Thank goodness!" You won't see us here anymore, what a disgrace and terrible service! As a company, I wouldn't want to employ someone like that, because they destroy more in a single day than you build in a year! Have a great time!

A nice place, but... - The service is very inexperienced; the "boys" have no idea what they're doing. - You don't get cutlery with your food. - They wanted to clear the table while we were still eating. - They didn't have the first three cocktails we asked for. - They brought the wrong food to our table. - We ordered the same drink three times and each time we got it in a different glass.

Steak that was incredibly tough! Pre-cooked around the edges or something, or defrosted in the microwave. It should have been rare... Also tasteless, you have to season it yourself. It came with a few fries, which were okay, and a tiny container of sauce that you had to pay extra for (€3.50). There was also a mini salad in a container, which wasn't fresh but pre-cut from a package.

We don't understand the negative reviews here :-). We loved everything, it's a very cozy restaurant, and the service is friendly... only our main course arrived a little too quickly after our appetizers, and the main courses (except for the children's menu) are a bit pricey... otherwise, definitely worth a 4.2/5! Not a 3.7 :-) (steakhouse section, not a grand cafe)

The food is awful. For example, a mixed grill isn't grilled at all, the chicken breast is flavorless and has no crust, overcooked? The ribs are of very low quality, and the mini steak is the only thing that's ever seen a pan.

Friendly people, but I ordered a Margarita pizza, and it was clearly a frozen pizza. The cheese wasn't good, and I wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered a soup that was very salty, also not recommended... The waitress tried her best, but didn't take the empty dishes, which made the table very crowded. The music didn't match the atmosphere (heavy rock). When the food was ready, they rang a bell that could be heard throughout the restaurant (sounded like a doorbell).

After reading the reviews, we thought, "Oh dear," but it was fantastic. The food was delicious and highly recommended. The open kitchen looks inviting. The tenderloin was excellent. The dessert was delicious.

If the food you eat could make you feel better at home, something is seriously wrong. Staff rarely come to your table to ask if you'd like a drink. The food itself is of mediocre quality.

We enjoyed our meal, but we still didn't give it a high rating. What really stood out to us, and disappointed us, was that the bartender kept running his hands through his hair to tuck it back. He kept running his hands through his hair, and then he just started grabbing glasses, making drinks, and so on. That definitely demonstrates poor hygiene. It looks strange, and it's definitely dirty. It's a shame. It's unnecessary, and it's a shame it apparently goes unnoticed.

It's a shame it used to be a restaurant with good food. We've had better meals here. The price is no longer in proportion to what you get. The steak looked dry and was also cold. We were offered another one, but that also looked very dry, as if it had been reheated. No, I won't be going back to this restaurant anytime soon.

Two weeks ago, we had a wonderful meal at the Grand Cafe section of this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy, and the indoor playground was perfect for the kids. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still able to get in. We arrived nice and early, around 5:30 PM. There weren't many people there yet, but it quickly became pleasantly busy.

On my first visit, I had toast with ham, cheese, and a fried egg, which was delicious and highly recommended. On my second visit, I had the spaghetti Bolognese for €19.50, and unfortunately, it was very watery due to poorly drained pasta, and the sauce overall wasn't to my taste—kind of...cinnamony? The arugula didn't look as fresh either, very wilted. The service was always super friendly and quick.

The servers weren't very experienced either. Every time they came by, I was afraid they'd drop everything they had. Well, what my mother told me was shocking. The service was terrible. Gluten-free/lactose-free was too much to ask. Then my mother's friend was given partially raw chicken with blood still running from it. They gave the food back and were offered a drink, but they had already eaten and drunk enough. Guess what? A full refund instead of compensation. What a terrible place.

We recently dined at Grand Café. We had a reservation for 7 p.m. We ordered a starter and a main course. Around 7:30 p.m., we received our starters, which were delicious. After our starter, we waited half an hour for our main course, which was fine, but 5 minutes later we were told the kitchen was closing early (at 8 p.m.) because it was a quiet evening, even though reservations were accepted until 8 p.m. The online opening hours are until 10 p.m., but they closed the last drinks at 8:30 p.m., also because it was quiet. A little later, people started walking onto the terrace and were turned away because it was "closed." Strange. They forgot the sauce for the carpaccio, and the pizza didn't look homemade and wasn't very tasty. Before we knew it, the entire terrace had been cleared, and it seemed like they wanted us gone. It was 9 p.m. at that point. All in all, not a good experience with this restaurant!

The three of us arrived here at 8:45 PM tonight for drinks. The opening time, both online and on the sign by the road, was 10:00 PM. We walked onto the terrace, and the first thing we were told was, "We've just finished our last round and are no longer taking tables." We just wanted a drink, and they were still open for an hour and fifteen minutes, but we weren't allowed to sit down. I never leave a bad review, but this is really strange.

We went here for dinner with four people, including two small children. Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. Here are a few reasons: It took over half an hour for the waitress to come take our order. The starter, gamba pil pil, had a particularly strong chili pepper, while it should normally be mild. Once the main courses were served, the pancake my son received looked suspiciously like a ready-made pancake. Very strange, considering there are several pancakes on the menu and the location is child-friendly, with an indoor play area and a large playground, in addition to being next to/on a children's campsite. So what's the point of serving fresh pancakes here? There was also no syrup or sugar on the table; we had to get our own from another table. My daughter's pizza was clearly a frozen pizza, although I understand that a bit better. The spare ribs were spicy, even though this wasn't specified on the menu. The mixed grill was delicious and the portions were good. Another thing that stood out was that the indoor play area was extremely dirty. The children played there for about 20 minutes and came back blacked out. The radio also kept glitching, which several guests found annoying. It's strange that the staff didn't notice this. There are many areas for improvement. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience for us.

Came to this place because there are few options in the area (located in a vacation park) The food was mediocre even by Dutch standards, service slow and uninterested, the prices too high for what you get. No serious vegetarian options except for a proudly displayed sign announcing an avocado burger for €23? Is it also made of gold. Had an uitmijster which is hard to mess up, but the bread looked like it was sliced bread from the supermarket and the egg fried too much so the yolk was not liquid enough to spill. The whole thing was very dry. Might be a good place to come for steak with friends (from the other reviews) but if you are a family with kids and/or vegetarian avoid this place

We sat there for three evenings. The first evening was fine. The second evening we ordered food and had to wait a long time for both food and drinks. The mixed grill was cold, the steak was almost well-done (which we didn't ask for), and the pizza didn't look homemade. The third evening, after 40 minutes, we got our first beer. We asked for Hertog Jan, and one of the two beers came as a fruit beer mix.

The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. After our first drink, it took a long time for someone to come by to take another order, meaning we only had one drink in two hours. The food ordering and serving process was slow, and our request to serve the children's menu earlier was ignored. Appetizer plates were left unattended throughout the evening. The staff seemed disinterested and increasingly grumpy. It's a shame, because with better service, it could have been a much more enjoyable evening.

Came here as the place showed up on BTC map, bitcoin however not accepted… They mixed up order on a 3 people order, cutlery arrived 5 min after the food, i got to know there will be no walnuts after my pancake arrived. Worst poffertjes. Mid steak. One salad without dressing. Waiter coming 15 min after semi acknowledging our presence.

We had a reservation for 4:00 PM, wanting to have drinks and then dinner. However, upon entering, we were completely ignored. No one came to us, not even a hello, nothing. When asked what we'd like to drink, I asked for the menu, which was simply thrown on the table. We felt completely unwelcome, and the staff clearly didn't seem interested. We decided to stick to drinks and ended up eating elsewhere. Despite this, our daughter had a wonderful time; there's plenty for the kids to do.

Prices were too expensive. Service was generally very inattentive, and the waiter, Thomas, was particularly unfriendly. The bill was €140, and there was no thank you or goodbye. We waited almost 45 minutes for the bill because the staff told us to contact other colleagues; they weren't even willing to give us any information.

Het voorgerecht was lekker, mijn man en ik hadden als hoofdgerecht allebei ossenhaas en die was helemaal doorbakken dus vrij droog, het nagerecht was heerlijk. De bediening was prima maar ik vraag me af hoe het is als het druk is. Wel vonden wij allebei dat diegene die met ons afrekende ons behandelde als een klein kind 🤔 door hoe hij de dingen zei, bv "stop je kaartje maar in de gleuf".

The food is really delicious but you only get 1 bucket of fries, that is way too little and when you ask for more they just don't come back and your food is cold. For the rest it is very delicious food and the atmosphere is also nice. The waitress also just took away the plate while we were waiting for the fries. The waitress also didn't really like working here.

Especially the spareribs and the fish and chips were disappointing. Spareribs were very tough, the fish and chips are not worth the name. Too bad, we expected more.

It took a long time for the food to arrive for each course, even though it wasn't busy. In between, the staff didn't ask for drinks (only 2 drinks per person consumed in one whole evening) and the staff was young, inexperienced and not hospitable. The food was also cold, and the nachos were burnt and there was very little sauce on them. We wanted dessert at the same time as coffee. We got coffee first (which was cold) and dessert 10 minutes later. Also with the coffee with friandises, the coffee came first and then the sweets. There was a green jelly with the dessert that was unrecognizable. The staff didn't know what it was either. We will never come back here because we paid way, way too much for what we got. Bad restaurant.

On a sunny Wednesday evening around 6:30, we plopped down on the terrace of Het Wapen van Kaatsheuvel. We didn't have a reservation, just showed up, but luckily there was room. In no time, a smart blond waiter was there, who could have stepped straight out of a toothpaste commercial. From that moment on, everything ran like clockwork. We got the feeling he single-handedly kept the entire terrace running, and he did so with flair, humor, and a keen eye for timing. Hats off to him. The food? Finger-licking good. In short: a great place, top-notch service, delicious food; we'll definitely be back. And hopefully, our blond hero will be back.

For children a nice place, service is friendly, food is quite mediocre. There is a lot of profit to be made. Portion sizes are disappointing and tough spareribs.

When we wanted to eat here with a group, we were first told that there was only food for 2 people, but suddenly there was still enough food. Then ordered Mixed grill and indicated that I have allergies. However, I had to find out for myself that this was missing because of my allergies. For the rest, nothing was replaced or offered an alternative, but everything had to be paid for. The meat was also not wow for the price.

We arrived at the restaurant after a day at Efteling. The waiter gruffly told us we still had half an hour to order. I asked if we could then choose a quick main course. Another gruff response. We hurried to the table and quickly chose our main course. My husband had walked to our cottage and arrived 10 minutes later. I had also mentioned this to the waiter and asked if he could also wait a bit with our food. By the time my husband arrived, our food was already served. My husband also wanted to order a main course, but was completely ignored. He ended up eating a sandwich at the cottage in the park. The food was okay. Nothing special. But the service and the waiter's rudeness were truly appalling!

Lovely spot along the Loonse and Drunese dunes. A beautiful park nearby, too bad the pool was closed. Both the steakhouse and restaurant are cozy and the staff are friendly (young!) ☺️ We felt incredibly welcome.

This restaurant is located at a holiday park (Europark Resort). At first I was a bit sceptical because I don’t have to high expectations about a restaurant on a holiday park. But this one might just be the exception! Parking is easy and free, the restaurant has a terrace and is very spacious inside. The ambiance was nice, personnel friendly (but could have been a bit more attentive, we had to ask for an extra round of drinks for instance) and the food was really, really good! I had the flatiron steak, very nice! When you are in the area; do pay this statehouse a visit!

We dined here last night with seven people. We made a reservation in advance, requesting a table facing the wall due to hearing issues. We had a wonderful conversation about this, received quick responses, and had a fantastic oval table in a cozy corner. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly, and you're given plenty of time. After the starter, you're asked if you'd like your main course right away or if you'd like to wait. Both the starters and the main courses were fantastic. We had a bit of everything, and everyone was enthusiastic. We had a fantastic evening!

Several times, something went wrong with the serving of the pancakes, one was forgotten or the wrong one was delivered. You also have to wait a very long time for your pancakes, which makes the unlimited pancake deal rather limited given the time limit.

We made a reservation two weeks in advance to eat there for our birthday. When we arrived, they had to push tables together, as if they hadn't expected us. It took 37 minutes before we were helped, and the service was terrible. We ordered drinks, and half of them didn't arrive. After sitting inside for 50 minutes, we all left and went elsewhere for dinner.

The four of us dined here. We had pork tenderloin, mixed grill, sirloin steak, and steak. Everyone loved it. The staff were spontaneous and professional, the restaurant is beautiful, and the atmosphere is great. We'll definitely be back.

I really wanted to come and eat with my family and friends, but unfortunately, the kitchen closed 2.5 hours beforehand without updating Google, as it says the restaurant is open until 10 p.m. Definitely disappointing for a Europarc guest. You're out 200-300 euros, unfortunately. I definitely won't be back!

Slow service but delicious tenderloin

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't cooked properly, but after complaining, this was promptly resolved.

Waiting for a very long time, the staff seemed to ignore you. When I asked if the heating was off, I got a rather disdainful look without an answer.

Worthless. We ordered pancakes. It took over an hour and they came with fries to compensate. I don't need those if I want to eat pancakes. There was a pancake with banana and chocolate spread. The banana slices were on top and the spread was in bowls next to it. This is not how it should be. The website says they also have pancakes with cherries, but this was not on the menu and I could not order it. The pancake was much too thick and therefore not tasty. Very disappointing. When I wanted to pay and indicated this to one of the waiters, I was ignored and after he had finished cleaning a table he went to take an order elsewhere. Then I went to the counter myself. I was asked if everything was to my liking. No, it was not, it took a long time and was not tasty either. Nothing was done about this and it was just 'too bad'.

The food was excellent, with nicely presented dishes. The meat dishes were asked if you wanted a sauce, which was a real disappointment. €3 for a jar of ready-made, sticky, and salty sauce! A steakhouse and a good piece of meat deserve homemade sauces...

The tenderloin is delicious and rivals those of well-known steakhouses. It comes with vegetables and fresh fries. The Mexican burger with jalapeño and guacamole was also good.

Goat cheese sandwich was incorrectly prepared with salad and mayo dressing. It was taken back, which can happen, but the correct sandwich was then completely unappetizing and not prepared correctly. Really bad.

In line with several previous reviews: Personal is chatting at the bar and ignoring the guests to take orders. This is not a one-off because I have been here for several years and this is still the case. Tip to the restaurant: take these tips to heart because your guests will pay a lot of money for them!

We dine here with somewhat high expectations. Mainly because our daughter could play here. Upon arrival, the table was not clean or wiped down. After I had swept away the crumbs left by our predecessors, I went to get a high chair. One was even stickier than the other. Fortunately, we had baby whips with us that allowed some cleaning in the seat. My daughter went to play in the house and we ordered something to drink. We found the staff very friendly. We had to ask them to come to us ourselves, but otherwise fine. After the "sandwich with spreads" the main course arrived right on time. A fried chicken burger on a neat bun for my wife and a very greasy Angus burger for me. Both with very weak fries. The burger tasted reasonable, but not great. The playground equipment inside was a bit broken here and there. This was then tied together with a shoelace, which should then be considered safe. There was also a piece of rope missing in one part, which (if you are not too big) is very easy to fall through. Very unsafe to let your child play quietly! All in all not recommended. Mediocre food, poor hygiene but reasonable staff.

We have been at Europarc for a week, I went there with my son to eat Angus burgers. Incredibly tasty, large portion with fries and mini salad for €19.50. The burger could have stayed on the grill a little longer. Latte macchiato is very good, it is offered with different syrups. If you like it, you will definitely find what you are looking for here. I would also like to see non-alcoholic versions of the beers. Unfortunately no ice cream for dessert.

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Europarcs Kaatsheuvel! And had a delicious meal at both restaurants in this park! Finally shared a meat platter with my husband and it was delicious! The sweet potato fries with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan cheese were also delicious! My son immediately fell in love with the spare ribs and the next few days he nagged to eat them there again. Service was fast and professional, everything was perfect in our opinion!

Sehr nettes Personal und hervorragendes Essen. Gerne immer wieder. Das „Asian Carpaccio“ gibt es so nur hier. Lecker und hervorragend. Die Hummersuppe mit Garnelen sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Die Steaks, Beilagen und Saucen sind ebenfalls sehr gut. Auf den Punkt nach Wunsch gebraten. Die Teriyaki Sauce ebenfalls eine Empfehlung.
