Hiba Libanese restaurant in Centrum

Unfortunately 1 star because they were closed (18-03-2026) without giving a reason!!!! A piece of A4 paper with 'sorry' on it. We had reserved via Social Deal. They knew nothing about it either. Shame, a real shame.

The food was a really small portion. He asked if I had an allergy, and yes, it was peppers, only to be given a salad full of peppers. The food was mediocre, the chicken just barely raw—a truly awful experience.

Reception was not welcome, waitress was not cordial. Just put the food on the table without saying what it was. Didn't even ask if everything was okay. Kept checking her phone behind the counter. The food wasn't delicious either. In short, we won't go back

Raw chicken wings and tough meat

Unfortunately I’d never eat here again. Although the restaurant looks nice, we were served raw chicken which we had to return. And the other meat was extremely tough and low quality. For me, I’d not recommend.

We ordered some items from this restaurant on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised when it arrived about half an hour later! We ordered about five items: Sambousek djej, Kibbeh Gebakken, Falafel, Kebab and half a grilled chicken, as well as some rice and sauces. The rice was nice and fragrant and the dishes were spiced well. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. They also gave us some complementary baklava dessert, which was greatly appreciated since it was quite tasty. This amount of food was perfect for our party of four. One thing to keep in mind is that they only accept cash, so if you order something it's best to have some cash on hand.

Had a wonderful meal for my wife's birthday. We tried many different flavors and enjoyed tender meat. The atmosphere was pleasant thanks to the easy communication with the chef and owner. Highly recommended!

Excluding the dried-out rice that tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave too many times, the food was OK, albeit overpriced, but also tasted reheated. We ordered a mixed grill, but in hindsight, the whole chicken would have been a much better choice overall. The service was good however and the food came quickly.

Fantastic, had dinner for my birthday with my children and supporters. Very relaxed, nice family atmosphere. The Mazza was delicious, the best Baklava ever and the rice pudding... as if I were back in the Middle East!!! As a surprise for my birthday. Stars with even more Baklava and singing from staff. Delicious eaten with a social deal voucher. Cold starters consisting of bread and spreads Then warm starters of puff pastry and delicious fresh salad Bread was supplemented again Mixed grill as a main course with deliciously seasoned tender meat. We exchanged dessert for coffee because we are not big dessert eaters. We drank nice Lebanese wine and the friendly service explained the food to us. The only disadvantage was that at first we were alone in the restaurant and then we had 1 table. Wasn't eating!! More about the time of year I think. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely go back to eat a la carte!!!

Hiba had been on the wish list to go out for dinner for some time. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. In the beginning, everything had to be done quickly, quickly, quickly. The starter (cold mazza, ok but not special and way too expensive) was not even completely finished, but the main course was already delivered to the table. The meat was not bad in quality, but had little flavor and the side dishes were of little value. We wanted to order another dessert. The operator, 2 meters away, had been lost in the mobile phone for 45 minutes and had not come by again. After calling twice we finally got their attention, but then we were politely told that they were closing in 5 minutes and that nothing more could be ordered. Wondering what would have happened if we hadn't called. Really bizarre, never experienced anything like this before. The Lebanese cuisine does not come into its own at all in this restaurant, not the flavors and certainly not the hospitality. All completely soulless. With the discount you get through Thefork the price is reasonable, without that discount it is in no way worth the price. Make sure you get the discount because they first tried to pass the bill on to us without a discount. Dissatisfaction was also heard at the other tables, so we were certainly not the only ones who were dissatisfied with how you were treated here. All very bad. Hiba is definitely not worth repeating and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Fortunately, this is not the only place where you can eat Lebanese food in Hilversum.

We had a really delicious meal here, mixed grill, kebab dishes and various side dishes, the meat was deliciously prepared and tender, the salads were freshly prepared and everything was wonderfully seasoned, the staff is friendly and they know what making food is. There was some confusion about the opening hours, we had made a reservation for Friday at 7:00 PM and this was confirmed, once there the lady told us that they were closing at 8:00 PM, we decided to eat anyway and that worked out well, we had a delicious meal in the end. So, dessert Kneffeh with ice cream, highly recommended! Luckily they stayed open longer.

Had a really bad experience with this “restaurant”. I ordered before they closed and I already got what was left. Small bit of fries and not even half a bowl of rice. Before we went to eat I called them to make a comment and someone said they were about to close and that's why this happened. My idea is if you are almost closed, just call and say that food cannot be delivered and would not have been a problem. When I wanted to eat the bread I discovered that it was moldy!!!!! How is that possible? NEVER ORDER HERE

An evening meal at Hiba is a gamble. If I read the other reviews it might be fine, but we were not that lucky. Because we don't eat Lebanese food very often, we left the choice to the waiter. So we got 4 courses for 42.50 pp. We thought this would be delicious! The first course was two baskets of bread with cold mezza on a plate. Unfortunately, it was difficult to place what it was without explanation. The clerk's smile was also only visible when she was on her phone, not with us. When we received the second course from our “laughing” friend, we asked for an explanation. “This one is with chicken, this spinach and this cheese.” That was it. In case you were wondering, they were Lebanese empanadas. These were a bit dry as they are just dough… Then came the main course. A mountain of meat on a plate. This one too without explanation! In addition, no sauce, vegetables, fries. Just delicious dry, well-cooked meat. Not the best day to want to enjoy your meat. Finally, the baklava, well aimed, thrown onto the table. Super sticky and without taste. Actually only sweet from the honey/sugar… All in all, a very sad evening for a hefty price. In terms of the amount of food, the price is right but it is not worth it. In addition, you pay 6.75 for lukewarm white Lebanese wine and cold red wine. Too bad about my evening and money.

Food was very good, service could be better, though, the waiter didn’t understand us well. The worst thing: their toilet was not working and they just told us to go to some other restaurant without arranging anything. They should at least have mentioned on the door about it, so that customers can decide whether or not they want to eat there without a functional toilet.

This is the worst place you can spend your money

Maybe we chose the wrong time (Wednesday evening 6:30 PM), but we all found it quite disappointing. To start with, we were not really welcome: the reservation was not known although Hiba had confirmed it several times and 'you have to be away at 8 pm because I want to repair the extractor hood.' We were the only guests the entire time, with 2 takeaway deliverers in between, so quiet evening. Every time we wanted something we had to call the man behind the bar because he never made eye contact. In the open kitchen you can see all Gouda's Glorie items; does not contribute to the Lebanese feeling. The cold mazza mix was dumped onto one large plate and flowed into each other. Hooray, decorated with 5 slices of cucumber. Fatoush salad is usually a feast for the eyes because of the beauty of colors and pomegranate berries. Here it is a rather monotonous green salad with a single string of red and topped with a black speckled dressing. The design and flavors of the mazza, salad and falafel are quite okay, but Hiba comes across as a bit lazy and unloving in all aspects.

My second visit here with my family, they make us feel very welcome. A great little restaurant with very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are always helpful and respectful but also provide nice recommendations for food and drink. We had the mixed cold mezze, mixed grill and some side dishes. Super flavours in all items. Delicious food. Took the Hiba menu (for 2 people) and mentioned that we are both vegetarian. We were surprised. A big 10 for the cook. It was delicious. And baklava for dessert. You couldn't make us happier. It was very busy but the service (1 person) remained calm and friendly. We enjoyed all the Lebanese delicacies.

Delicous Lebanese grill food, the atmosphere in the restaurant was oke... sadly, the seats were few and close together. We ordered two dishes, the lam and the whole chicken. We were not disappointed at all, the food was very hot (so fresh of the grill). The rice was flavourful and the fries were nicely seasoned. The lamb my girlfriend loved and said it was one of the best shes ever had. My chicken was great, too.

Service skillset are very low, the waitress was not capable of remembering my food intolerance and try to food poisoning me, and miss a dish we ordered. Overall a good place but for the price of your bill you ll expect better service.

Absolutely love Lebanese food, so I was super excited to discover this little gem in Hilversum. It is a tiny place, but that doesn't matter, because the food is absolutely amazing. Very friendly service and I was able to practice my Arabic speaking skills. While some (Dutch) may expect an authentic Arabic decor, I believe the decor is very fitting for a Lebanese place. So if you're looking for amazing Lebanese cuisine in 't Gooi, this is the place for you. الاكل ممتاز

Leuk restaurant en het eten is heerlijk! Wij hadden een diner geboekt via Social Deal, het hoofdgerecht bestaat voor deze deal uit vlees en salade. Ik miste iets van rijst oid. Volledige diner was eigenlijk net even iets te weinig.

Ontzettend leuke restaurantje fijne service en heerlijk gegeten

Sfeer: knus, klein. Het ziet er niet typisch Libanees uit. Als je het menu bekijkt zie je wel duidelijk de Libanese keuken terug. Ik stoor me niet aan de spelling van bepaalde woorden en kan er wel om lachen. Voor een meer professionele uitstraling kan ik me voorstellen dat het wel gewenst is om alles correct gespeld te hebben. Ik had graag meer van de Libanese cultuur terug gezien in de sfeer, decoratie of inrichting. Hygiëne: geen klachten. Normaal voor wat je kan verwachten in een eenvoudig restaurant. Service: vriendelijk, goed geholpen. We hadden niet gereserveerd en mochten later van de kleine tafel wisselen naar de grote tafel. Ik vind komijn erg lekker bij de vis en kreeg dit op mijn verzoek er extra bij op een kleine schaal! Eten: dorade voorbereid in de oven, minimaal 30 minuten. Deze verdient de hoofdprijs! (10/10). Je weet dat de vis goed smaakt als er de tijd voor wordt genomen. De fattoush was heerlijk traditioneel, precies zoals ik het gewend ben. De falafel was prima. De mixed grill is gemiddeld, standaard wat je kan verwachten van een schotel. Prijs: gemiddeld / de vis is van zeer goede kwaliteit. Halal: 100% (ook geen alcohol) Al met al zou ik het aanraden indien je graag Libanees eten wil proeven. Tip: bestel typisch Libanees eten en probeer niet voor de standaard opties te kiezen die je bij een vergelijkbaar restaurant (vaak Turks) kan bestellen. Het zou mooi zijn als je meer van de Libanese keuken terug ziet in de sfeer. De visliefhebber wordt niet teleurgesteld, de Dorade is zijn prijs en wachttijd waard!

Super leuk dat je Libanees kunt eten in Hilversum want de Libanese keuken is een van de beter keukens met veel mooie smaken. Bij Hiba komt dat niet helemaal tot zijn recht. De smaken en de presentatie van de koude Mazze zijn prima maar die van de warme Mazze zijn dat niet. Fantasieloos opgediend en dito gekruid. De falafel werd op een kaal bord opgediend, iets te hard gebakken. De garnalen kwamen met limoen en koriander maar waren erg zout. Een groot gemis is het gebrek aan wijn. Er wordt in dit restaurant geen wijn en dus ook niet die fantastische wijnen uit de Bekaa vallei geserveerd. En dat is misschien nog de grootste domper. Al met al, als je je broodje kebab of falavel ontgroeid bent, is dit een leuke plek voor een lunch of een eenvoudige hap.

Nice little lebense restaurant it has all the dishes you can think of!! Loved the appetizers the grills were ok ( i had better) the cauliflower was so nice but all dishes are big they serve mlre than 3 ppl.. Service was super the ladies were helpful and nice. Had a lovely Lebanese songs in the background the interior is modern and quite upscale. Overall i would do it again and would recommend coming here for a nice meal and hospitable atmosphere!!!

Onverwacht kwamen we Libanees restaurant Hiba tegen en er was gelukkig nog plek voor 2 personen. De bediening was erg vriendelijk en ook het andere personeel. Heerlijk genoten van mix van koude voorafje met Libanees brood/tortilla. Daarna nog 3 kleine hapjes besteld, het was heerlijk, warm en bijzonder lekker. Een echte aanrader, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ik had via Thuisbezorgd eten besteld en toen werd de bestelling na een half uur wachten door Thuisbezorgd geannuleerd ivm geen beschikbare bezorger. Ik heb Hiba toen gebeld en zij hebben de bestelling daarna zelf bij mij bezorgd. Super service en blij mee want het was inmiddels al bijna 22:00 uur. Ook een keer bij Hiba gegeten en was ook goed. Persoonlijk vind ik het eten iets aan de prijzige kant en is de smaak van een gerecht niet altijd hetzelfde (laatste keer iets minder lekker), maar het is natuurlijk ook geen kant en klaar maaltijd ;)

Klein tentje maar best leuk ingericht. Reserveren is wel slim. De bediening was een beetje afwezig of ze lieten je redelijk met rust. Ik zelf vond het redelijk aan de prijs voor wat ik kreeg. Het eten was wel echt goed of het echt traditioneel libanees is weet ik niet. Maar eerlijk is eerlijk. Het was echt lekker. Daarom toch 4 sterretjes.
