Accidentally ordered the wrong sandwich. The menu showed a green leaf, which, according to the menu, means vegetarian. Because of this, I didn't check the ingredients properly (partly my own fault), but it turned out to contain meat. That in itself wasn't a major problem. What made the experience unpleasant was the waitress's reaction. When we told her we hadn't expected meat, she walked away. She then told us not to eat the sandwich, since we don't eat meat. The employee in question reacted defensively, lacked empathy, and wasn't very customer-focused. They also didn't offer any input on a solution. It came across as unprofessional and created a depressed atmosphere. I also found it a bit awkward that the employees were sitting at a table in the restaurant, which, combined with the interaction described earlier, made the atmosphere less pleasant for us. Fortunately, the other sandwich tasted good, and a colleague was friendly, which we certainly appreciated. It's a shame the situation was handled this way, as it detracts from the overall experience.

Yesterday we ordered a high tea to go for a baby shower, and it was so well taken care of! There was so much to choose from, actually too much, but everything looked so delicious that we didn't regret it. 😊 We could also choose a color theme, which really gave it a personal and festive touch. Everything was neatly packaged and easy to pick up. In short: highly recommended for anyone who wants to do something special without any hassle!

Always a very friendly woman who baked her own pastries, where is she? I missed this! This morning we came from the GGD vaccination center and there was a boy and a girl in the shop... or rather, sitting. It was 9:50 and the door was open. We thought: time for a cup of coffee. The boy was on his phone and the girl was also sitting at a table in the back. No idea what she was doing. When we asked if we could have a cup of coffee, we were told they wouldn't open until 10:00. And that it would be another ten minutes. And that we had to wait another ten minutes in front of the shop (with a baby and a two-year-old). We weren't even allowed to sit down inside (although we did ask). I think he hadn't finished his game yet. What an attitude. We felt so unwelcome that we just drove home. If I owned such a place, I'd want to welcome and serve everyone walking down that street from the vaccination center. But these two really didn't feel like making two cups of coffee 9 minutes earlier. Too bad...

No need to make a reservation for a great meal. I'll definitely try more options on the menu.

Extremely overpriced!! Fristi came in a small glass and cost €3.10. A cheap bottle of apple juice was €3.70 (not an expensive brand/organic or anything like that). The food was also very expensive for what you get: the flatbreads were small and poorly filled. Fish and chips were €17.50!! And it was six pieces of kibbeling and fries.

Two coffees and a poffert for 23 euros. Lukewarm coffee with a dry poffert that was cold inside.

Nice cozy restaurant, we ordered kibbeling and fries and that was disappointing. Fries were limp and the kibbeling was bland and greasy. This was also reported but unfortunately the price remained the same, they could have given in something here.

The cake and coffee tasted very good and the service was friendly - we'll be back!

Hello people. Hof van Daam is a coffee and tea shop. Known especially for its high tea. For the sweet tooth, there is plenty of choice. Many different types of pastries are served there. There is a (in my opinion) homely atmosphere in this place. Price ratios are okay If you don't like coffee or tea?... you can also just get soft drinks or a juice. The sanitary facilities could be a little better for me, but will not be easy for the old building in the center of Appingedam with its hanging kitchens. For disabled people...I think everything is fine. You can park further away... at the Coop of Action. Walking distance +/- 200 meters?. (Yesterday we had a New Year's party there. A great success for this business. It was the first time to do it this way. Stage created... theater company performance with singing, readings, and sketches. Who knows, maybe there will be a repeat. of this concept.) we will definitely come back here.

Very hospitably received with dog. The business is located in the center of Appingedam. We had bought a social deal voucher, so in our case we had a nice coffee, soup and bouncer for little. I would go back even without a receipt.

What a wonderful coffee/tea room this is with an owner who is passionate about the business. Customer-friendly, relaxed living room atmosphere. Nothing is too much. A party or something similar: you can come by appointment on Sundays or in the evening. Delicious and well-maintained coffee tables and high teas. There is even a "men's high tea". This means, hearsay, that the sweet products have been omitted and more savory/masculine products are served. Where can you find something like that? And not unimportant: You will NOT be shocked by the price list. Highly recommended. We visit more often. A real reason to regularly go to Appingedam. Betty and Fred Schuiten
