The food was okay. It wasn't the best. The soup was bland, but after I seasoned it myself, it was okay. Those burgers with the overly sweet sauce were also unfortunately only mediocre. The condition was friendly, and I was allowed in with my dog ​​🐕. It was cozy inside, too.

Born and raised HK tourist here. We ordered: 🍚 Char Siu fired rice | Rate: 8-8.5/10 🍜 Roasted Duck Noodle Soul | Rate: 6.5/10 The food is fairly good, the Char Siu Fried Rice is great (Just because mindful fried rice is quite dry so you will be thirsty). Roasted Duck isn't crispy as I thought it would be but still good. The noodle has not much taste (maybe that’s mean healthy☺️) so eating with the duck will add more taste. The potion is quite big and we are full. 🤵🏻‍♀️The staff is nice and friendly. 🧱 The interior design is good, overall atmosphere is quiet during our dinner.

Good place to grab some HK food in Amsterdam. The portion sizes were fair for the price although the starters were a bit pricey. The food is slightly adapted to western taste but was still enjoyable. The service and atmosphere were also fair.

Xingzhou fried noodles have too many ingredients and are mostly barbecued pork noodles. The portion is too small. And the Xingzhou fried noodles in Hong Kong are not like this.

Yesterday's visit was an absolute horror. It was raining heavily and we just wanted to get in somewhere, and besides, not much was open. When we walked in, it smelled burnt and it was incredibly humid because the extractor hood was still broken. We were ignored for about half an hour until a server finally came over with noticeably little motivation and then said that, for example, you couldn't get sweet and sour sauce on the noodles. The starter was delicious and the main course took a very long time despite the small number of guests. At times, meter-high flames shot up in the kitchen and the smell got worse and worse. The main course was completely tasteless and therefore the price was very expensive. I would never set foot in that closet again. In the end, the lady was too lazy to split the bill and it took almost 5 minutes before it finally worked.

Great authentic food with good value for money

We stopped by Hong Kong Kitchen for a quick lunch with my son — just something casual, but it turned out to be a really memorable meal. We ordered a juice, a lemonade, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Rice with Prawns and Vegetables. And honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was exactly how I remember it being served in the UK years ago — with vegetables and sauce mixed in, not just the chicken and sauce on the side like we often get in the U.S. It brought me straight back to a memory from 20 years ago. The flavors were rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We cleaned our plates with joy and left with full bellies and big smiles. A great little find for a tasty Chinese meal in the heart of Amsterdam.

The food here was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed each and every bite of my Jiaozi Vegetable Starters and the Chiw Yim Tofu Main Dish. The chilli oil was really good with both of those vegetarian/vegan dishes! Would definitely come here again if I'm in Amsterdam again. East Asian tourist here This is the WORST Asian restaurant I’ve ever eaten in the Europe. Very hot and stuffy, also Smokey cos the exhaust not working well or something. Can smell everything from the kitchen and eyes are stinging from the oil in the air when chef is cooking Worst thing is that there was no spillage but the staff decided to mop floor halfway through our meal which is super unpleasant. It was very wet then he squeegeed off the water. Floor is super clean now cos he went through it several times

The woman at the cashier was toooo bad and not friendly to communicate. Also the quantity of plate seemed slightly less and the woman at cashier charged 3 euros for 200ml water without informing us when asked for tap water. We had food out of which veg Fried rice was ok, spring rolls were not good.

This is NOT Hong Kong food!!! And this is the worst so-called “Hong Kong food” I’ve ever had. Don’t go. The “three treasures rice” was absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea what that sauce on top was—maybe char siu sauce? I’ve eaten three treasures rice my whole life, and I’ve never seen anything like that. The roast pork, roast chicken, and roast duck were all terrible. This place is run by mainland Chinese. If you’re going to open a shop and claim it’s Hong Kong-style, at least make proper, authentic, and delicious Hong Kong food. Please don’t ruin the name of Hong Kong with stuff like this.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the chili oil was beyond incredible, I haven't had one like that ever since I was a little kid. Really kind and patient staff too! Overall delightful experience. And to top it all off incredibly affordable and filling!

Little place tucked near the Red Light district on a small street filled with food shops and sex boutiques. He ordered dim sum, of which he ate it all; but over all he said it was just ok. I ordered chicken satay appetizer that on the menu came with lime and ketchup; and a bowl of steamed rice. I don’t eat ketchup so nixed that; and they said they didn’t have any lime, I can live without lime but then she said they don’t have any low sodium soy sauce, or peanut sauce. My chicken satay came FRIED so it was dry even with regular soy sauce ; and my bowl of rice came on a plate. It looked like she dug out the bottom of the rice pot because parts of the plated rice were darker and the kernels were hard. I was pretty hungry and this did not hit the spot. Oh well, we tried. Now we will go in search of gelato!

Though I'm not from Hong Kong, I've tasted authentic Cantonesea food. This place is simple, cozy, and offering a decent variety of authentic Cantonesea dishes. Their dimsum is very good. A must try staple Hong Kong street food dish you can get here is the curry fish ball. Highly recommended for Asians who miss home food!

Awful place, everything tasted frozen, broth tasted like hot dog water that first was frozen and then defrosted in microwave not on highest setting. I don’t remember last time I had such bad food like this. Meat was chewy, broth was disgusting and because of the broth everything tasted off. Prawn dumplings tasted stale and had mouldy aftertaste. We only went to that place because it was open a bit later than everything else and for a Saturday night, it wasn’t really busy which was very bad sign. Do not waste your money.

I recently stopped off here for a bite to eat with my wife for our evening meal. We ate egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and Singapore chow mein and it was lovely. We also never had the after effects of feeling heavy and lethargic. The restaurant is quite small and narrow, and we just turned up and didn't book in advance. I recommend giving it a try if you fancy a Chinese.

On our last day in Amsterdam, on a Sunday in the late afternoon, we were quickly looking for something tasty to eat. We had walked past Hong Kong Kitchen a few times and noticed that there was a lot of take-away traffic — always a good sign. We decided to step in and after just five minutes the food was ready: a portion of nasi with vegetables. Nice and fresh, warm and full of flavour. I really enjoyed it on the way home. Price-quality is absolutely right, and importantly: no discomfort or stomach ache afterwards, which you sometimes fear with quick meals. If I'm ever in Amsterdam again and I'm looking for a quick, tasty and reliable bite, I already know where I'll stop or order again!

Very bad service. Nothing from the food to atmosphere is Hongkong-like. We were served main dishes first then starters. Some of them tasted like industrial foods. The price is also too high for the quality and service. Overall I can’t recommend it.

We ordered a soup, a baho and two noodles, one pork and one chicken. By far it was the dullest food I have ever had in my life, it tastes like absolutely nothing, even the soup has no color at all because it is water with pork and noodles, they have no spices or anything for all this they charged us €50 it is not worth it at all super bland food tasted like nothing

After eating Chinese food for 40 years, I realized that Chinese food can be so delicious! ! This time I ordered the simplest and most basic Chinese cuisine, wonton noodles, three treasure rice and siomai. The wonton noodles are overcooked and tasteless, and the wontons taste as hard as steak cooked until well done. The meat of Sanbao rice is hard, like chewing dried meat, and the taste is salty! Siomai, the most classic Hong Kong snack, is 100 times worse than the microwaved food I buy at convenience stores and tastes pink! If you want to give it a try because of his 4-point rating. I advise you to find another Chinese restaurant, and I hope you don’t make the same mistake as me!

I don't think the restaurant is worth the name of Hong Kong Kitchen. The taste and the overall dining experience was not Hong Kong at all. It would be much better if it is named as Asian Kitchen.

Considering the location and the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was surprisingly empty. That said, the prices were quite low as well, and that as well was coupled with some really solid food that came fast and packed quite a bit of a punch. It tasted really good, with just the right amount of spice as promised, and the portions were quite large as well. Service was great, and the lady at the front was quite knowledgeable of the food served. The place is quite small, which, if anything, makes for a quiter dining experience and a great place to relax and enjoy some good food on a weekend. Kudos to the chef!

We really wanted some char siu and Sichuan shrimp so we went inside. The place is really cozy and modern, the people working are nice and the food was incredible. Best shrimps ever and char siu exactly like in Hong Kong. We also ordered amazing siu long bao. It was cheap because the portions were big. Recommend it!

Actually not bad. At first we were the only guests in the restaurant and were immediately welcomed. The food also came very quickly. The lady didn't seem very motivated, but she did her job perfectly. The food itself was pretty tasty at first, but as time went on the chicken (had sweet/sour chicken) somehow only tasted like tofu. Tasteless but very chewy even though it was clearly recognizably chicken. Therefore only 3 stars for the food, despite the 4 stars overall. The portions were good for the price, I couldn't even finish everything. All in all, I don't regret the visit.

I arrived at Hong Kong Restaurant around 10:30 PM on a Sunday. I was greeted by direct staff who engaged me in the restaurant process with ease. The menu highlighted well, a wide array of tempting dishes including Beijing duck and rice dishes like the ones delivered to my neighbor. I ordered the Sui kau (shrimp dumpling) soup, whose rich broth and flavorful shrimp packed dumplings were the highlight of my experience. I also had beer. They had one option on tap and I liked it. I will return next time I am in Amsterdam. 🦐🥟🍜🤯

Utterly disgusting. I ordered a large meal (90 euros) from them to be delivered by Uber Eats. The chicken dishes contained under-cooked meat that tasted un-fresh (spoiled) and gave me diarrhea. The dumplings were COLD and greasy - weird since they were supposedly steamed. Overall it was a sickening waste of money and I would NOT RECOMMEND. TRULY AWFUL.

Fancied some Chinese food whilst visiting Amsterdam, popped in here not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised, the food was very good and chicken was tender, tasted great and was fairly quick service. Kitchen is in eyeshot and felt authentic. Portion sizes were good too. We were given one out of date Coke Zero which wasn’t great and it tasted awful but that was the only downfall really.

It’s alright, not that bad it’s all I can say about the food. But when I asked for “only water” I didn’t expect it would be €5.90 for 200ml of water. It’s too pricey

We had a lovely family meal here during a long weekend in Amsterdam. The service was so warm and welcoming and they put a bigger table together for us with no trouble. The food was fresh, tasty and served quickly. We had 5 vegetarians in our party and all the vegetarian options were delicious! We were almost put off by some of the reviews here but I’m really glad we weren’t - the atmosphere and food were great.

Small and inconspicuous restaurant with an nice and warm atmosphere. We were 3 guys having 3 dishes and every of them were very delicious. Price performance also very fine especially for a very central spot. Worth to visit.

The whole experience was disappointing. The waitress was unfriendly and the food extremely bad. The tofu was just tasteless and chewy, as well as the noodles from the noodle soup and the rice tasted like it was burnt. The over all main taste was fat. For two main dishes we couldn't even finish we paid 38 €. Never been to such a bad restaurant. Also the music seemed to be connected to a Bluetooth device through several walls, as it was interrupting the whole time. Nobody working there seemed to care. Also there are not many vegetarian dishes.

Really great spot for Chinese food!! The food comes out FAST and the prices are standard. I have the Peking duck and loveddddd it! I also got the shu mai and hu tau and those were a little chewier than what I typically have back in the states. But definitely recommend!

Ordered a starter of fried shrimp which was delicious. However the main of fried chicken with rice was awful. It started looking like a good amount of chicken which turned out to be 90% bone and the vegetables advertised on the menu was just cabbage

No, basic Asian cuisine with no taste. The food is poor quality, tasteless soup broth, chicken and pork bones in the meat in the soup. Undercooked dim sum dried on the outside and stuck to the steam basket. At the service, two unpleasant women who are clearly disgusted to be there! The serous smokes sitting on the sidewalk with the cook all the smell of cigarettes enters the restaurant. Excessive price for poor quality of food. A tourist trap. No Dutchman would stop to eat in there….

Absolutely abysmal food. We went at 10pm and they close at 11pm. They greeted us with faces of disgust as we brought in a table of 8 for them. After ordering, they brought us what could only be the worst representation of fried noodles and wonton soup I’ve ever had. The noodles were extremely salty to the point it was unbearable. The wonton soup broth tasted like hot water. The wontons tasted like raw paste. If you’re heading to Chinatown, I’d highly recommend you do not go near this place. It’s a disgrace to Cantonese food.

Actually 0 stars for everything, but unfortunately that option doesn't exist. You are not greeted, but rather skillfully ignored and looked away. The food was really horrible and far too expensive for the cheap food!!!! The duck was pure disgrace!!! It tasted like everything, but definitely not duck!! The broth wasn't homemade either and was horrible!!! I only ate the dumpings, so I returned my plate full. Paid a proud €14. I 100% advise you not to go to this restaurant if you don't want to be disappointed!!!!!

Many Chinese restaurants in Europe would give me a full, extensive, menu upon seeing me entering (I'm of Chinese descent). But the server gave me a short version of the menu (their most popular dish perhaps?). It wasn't until I asked until I got the full menu, the same one that they showed at the entrance. We ordered 2 rice dishes. The rice was cold. We were looking for a cheap dinner at that time and the price was within our expectations. If you are looking for cheap food to fill your stomach after you drink too much, this restaurant would not be a bad choice. However, I am pretty sure that there is better Chinese food served elsewhere in Amsterdam.

I want to give this restaurant a 6 star rating. I ordered a three-piece roasted rice. This rice is very special. If you like oyster sauce, please be sure to order this rice. The amount of oyster sauce is many times that of the normal one. To be precise, it is infinite times. Because the normal roasted rice Flavored rice should not have oyster sauce. I am not very familiar with this restaurant in Hong Kong. If you are confident about your kidney function, please patronize this restaurant more often, because I may need kidney dialysis after eating it (it’s too salty). The whole white rice is not white rice, but full of oyster sauce, which is brown rice. I would like to rate it as a six-star restaurant. I ordered a siu mei rice. This dish is very special. If you like the taste of oyster sauce, you must order this dish. The amount of oyster sauce is many times of a normal dish. To be accurate, it shall be infinite times because a normal Siu Mei rice should not have oyster sauce. The Hong Kong Kitchen is not familiar with Hong Kong food. Also, if you think your kidneys are in good condition, please visit here more often. Because I think I need to undergo kidney dialysis afterwards as it is too salty. The rice is totally filled with oyster sauce which make the white rice completely brown.

We loved the food we got (beef on black bean sauce, beef fried noodles and Ziao Long Bao) all was super tasty and honestly would come back just for the bao because those and the complimentary chilli oil SLAPPED! Only complaint was that we had to pay with cash but worth it for a tasty meal ☺️
